The food was delicious and the service was great. Very clean atmosphere and restrooms. Also, kid friendly! There are changing tables in the restrooms and plenty of high chairs and booster seats. And did I mention their Margaritas are the bomb?!

Omg !!! We just decided on a whim to stop in. Thank goodness we did. The food is fresh and authentic!!! I ordered a bowl of tortilla soup (the size of the bowl first off) I had to ask if they got it right. The white queso is AMAZING. You can feel the love in the food. I also had the sour cream enchiladas ( had to find a new word) FANTASTIC!!! The customer service is the best I have experienced in awhile. My family and I all agree we will be regulars!!! A weekly trip is in our future.

This place is my personal favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Everything I've tried has been amazing! I wish they got more business because they definitely deserve it!!!

Decided to come here for lunch with my mom and it was a nice atmosphere with good food! My mom really liked it and I think we found our little go to spot in the area <3 The staff were very attentive! I have no complaints! We'll be back for sure!

This place really need sto up their social media game and let ppl know they are there. I had the beef fajitas and they were absolutely great!! The grilled onions couldn't have been any better either. Beef was full of flavor and a nice grilled taste to them. The charro beans are awesome. The cheese enchilada is a good ol, old fashioned enchilada. Gravy to cheese to tortilla ratio is awesome. The queso blanco is amazing. Highly recommend yall stop in here and discover a new favorite restaurant. The prices are good as well. Quality and quantity is great for the price.

We love having an incredible Mexican restaurant 5 minutes from our house! The owners are amazing and provide excellent service and quality Mexican food! Some of our favorites are the cheese enchiladas, beef fajitas, and street tacos! Margaritas are very good!

We love El Jarrito. The food is always outstanding! It is fresh, served piping hot and delicious. Our favorite dishes are the amazing cheese enchiladas, the beef chalupas, the white queso, the shrimp brochette and of course the mango/strawberry or lime frozen margaritas! The service is perfect. It is the best Mexican food in town!

If you're looking for a smaller, more intimate Mexican restaurant with great food than this is your place! What really sets this place apart is its service, which is absolutely amazing! Family owned and they recognize you each time.

My wife and I really enjoyed the food. Tasted great, reasonably priced, and solid margaritas. I got the beef fajitas, my wife got mushroom quesadillas, and they had a very good habanero street sauce. We had a queso appetizer, plus the 2 meals, and 3 margaritas between us. I believe the bill was $75 before tip, which I found very reasonable. Owners were very friendly and service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Really liked this place! Fajita burrito was great! Really good taste and was filled up with a good amount of fajita. Also my son is very picky eater and he finished his meal! So kid approved as well lol Really nice customer service! Always had a refill on chips, salsa and drinks! Will be going back 😊

Was finally able to try this place out! I have no complaints about the food or service! They were so kind and checked on us every so often and the food was really good. It was a quaint clean little restaurant and bar. The only things we all weren’t crazy about were 1. There are no descriptions for the menu items so there were some plates that we were unfamiliar with and didn’t know what they were, we didn’t really know what came on the tacos or in the burritos and just little stuff like that. There was no indication of whether rice and beans were included with certain plates so while my plate included rice, there were no beans, and another plate included beans, but no rice, then another included both so had we known more we may have order differently. The waitress, bless her heart, was very nice and answered all of the questions we had and though she didn’t seem to mind, I just felt bad for having to keep asking and taking so much time deciding what to get 2. There was an additional almost $3 charge to pay by card which kind of sucks because a lot of people use cards now and really just keep cash for emergencies. I know it probably has to do with the card companies that process all that stuff or whatever, but we didn’t find out til we looked at our checks and it was too late to get cash. Both of these aren’t super huge deals, and I hope this feedback is helpful! I can guarantee we’ll be back though! It’s super convenient for people along Hardin store/Dobbin huffsmith so we aren’t having to go very far or try and fight traffic to eat quality Mexican food!

The staff was eager to please and answered all of our questions. The meats were tender and well seasoned. The torta bread was soft as it should be and delicious. The chicken soup with dark meat is made to order so it took 20 minutes to be served. It maybe needed a tad more seasoning, but it was good. We plan to come back since it's close by and quiet. Dinner for three people $58 and two bar drinks $17 w/o tip. If you pay cash, you get a discount. This was our first time here, so I will be updating as we grow accustomed to the menu.

It has a a different kick but good. You can cut it up or eat it whole🤪 The main dish we all had was the mojarra frita- fried red fish. And we are talking about a WHOLE FISH!!! It was fried well and crispy. It was seasoned well and the fins were crispy 🤤 To wash it down I had jamaica(hibiscus). This jamaica nit as sweet as most places but who needs that sugar anyway. They have a bar so you could ask for a drink if you want it. Also noticed a small cute patio in front. But overall it was a good experience and the wait staff was amazing! I will return with my mom and whom ever is around. 🤣🤣

I legit shed actual tears when I was eating my meal😭 it was SOOO GOOD!!! Don’t even give me started on their queso… you better be careful to not overeat haha!! There is not one thing that I can think of to complain about! Everything here is so perfect and I wouldn’t change anything. Prices are very good considering the portions you get! Their beef and chicken are amazing in texture and flavor!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! It’s a beautiful family owned and operated restaurant❤️

This place is awesome, very tender fajitas with great taste, excellent tacos al pastor and have to flush it down with some tasty Horchata. Wonderful food and more of authentic choices. We will definitely be adding this to our rotation. Definitely need to give them a try!

I just wanted something close by this evening. I'm newly staying in Magnolia, and didn't want to cook. I'm a guy who can never say no to good tacos. Haha. The atmosphere is authentic. It's warm and relaxing. the drink menu is hard to say no to, and the food tastes great. I ate everything on my plate. I had fajitas for 1. The only thing I'll say is the meat was light. They need to put more chicken and more beef when ordering a mixed plate. The slices of meat are wide. Less beef than chicken. 3 or 4 slices of chicken, and if it was 4 slices of chicken, it was 3 slices of beef. I almost needed 1/3 more meat total and it would be acceptable. Other than that, this spot is hot 🔥 great selections for appetizers and entrees. If your near Magnolia this spot is worth checking out.

Good experience but my came out really salty. Just giving feedback for the kitchen it was still good and ill be back. Restaurant was clean and nice.

Solid food for the price, decent music, service is a little slow, but nothing too bad. Fajitas were phenomenal for the price.

We are becoming regulars here! The food is good and consistent and a decent value for what you get. It’s a cozy space, good service and great drinks - a variety of margaritas and flavors; I think their Micheladas are the best around (the mix and preparation is superb).

Their brochette shrimp is only 4 count... I typically order this dish and the places I go to have them in six or at the very least 4 jumbo size... No big deal, I ordered an extra two... with the $4.95 surcharge per count, the dish came out to $29... definitely not a $29 dish

The cheese enchiladas and gravy are amazing. The salsa isn’t great, the queso wasn’t either. Service wasn’t the best, and it wasn’t busy yet, not bad, just left empty drinks a lot. The other food wasn’t very good, microwaved frozen chicken for kids meals. Prices are comparable to higher end Mexican restaurants, but the food isn’t. The menu had no description on any food, and also no pictures, so it was a guess on some of the meals with random names, and some were handwritten. I understand small owned businesses trying to work, but if you’re charging high end prices, match that with the menus and environment Overall, I hope this business can improve some things and make it, the enchiladas are amazing, but the rest was average, at best. I think it has potential

It was cheese enchiladas night for us. They were good. Nothing special. Quesadilla was ok. Sopapillas are fair. We may give them another try and order the fajitas next time. Michelada looked great but lacked flavor. Margarita was strong.

Food - The food is okay in taste, some of the portions are rather small in my opinion compared to other Mexican restaurants. I do not think the price point is worth it, given that there are other Mexican restaurants with food that is lower in price with better portions and quality in taste. Service - Oh boy. I have been to this restaurant about 4 times or so and every time I have gone I have not received good service. I have gone during both busy time and also when the restaurant is empty and it won’t matter, the waitress still takes ridiculously long to attend us. Everytime. One time we waited close to an hour before she even took our order and there was only 2 other tables there. I was about ready to leave!

Well apparently it doesn’t 3-The menu online said it also comes with grilled peppers and tomatoes. They forgot both of those so it was just onions At least they remembered the tortillas
