I come here a lot and I will say that say that everyone is nice. However, when Holly is working it feels like she is family. By far the nicest and most relatable employee they have. On top of that she will ensure that you have everything in bag correctly so that you don’t have to make a trip back due a mistake. Not sure what they pay her but I guarantee it’s not enough for the service she provides!

This location is hard to access due to road construction but not their fault. The food is great but the portions are very small for the money compared to the competition. The interior is very dark in this one and actually smaller than expected. The general layout is just weird.

We eat here pretty frequently and are always pleased with the delicious food and service. Yesterday there was a slight mishap with our order and the manager did an amazing job making it more than right. Experiencing that from management explains why customer service is so great.

I had to Door Dash a late lunch due to a work assignment. I managed to get meat, beverage and NON- FRIED sides for exactly $20! The double order of green beans were THE BEST! My food was fresh and hot when it arrived and the Rasberry tea Was dark and SWEET! I am thankful!

Wanted to drop a quick review of this particular Golden Chick. It's currently Saturday, with the big winter storm pushing through DFW. While I had basic groceries for sandwiches and such, I was really wanting some warm food and since this location is right around the corner from me, I decided to venture out. Even the fraction of mile I traveled had ice road. Almost upon leaving, I figure GC would not even be open but it was! I pulled in expecting some mediocre food that had been under a heat lamp all morning, but that was not the case. I ordered fish and did have to wait a few minutes, only because they made if fresh! I know the employees must hate, having to go in to work in this kind of weather, but even though the the weather is miserable the staff was still friendly and courteous. This was pleasant surprise on a generally unpleasant winter day in Texas.

Loved the food, but they have a tendency to forget items; especially extra sauced you paid for. Just double check you bag good before you leave. We thought we saw everything and noticed missing a slaw once we got home. Had someone else who went back up to get their own order and they were happy to fulfill the error. They forgot to check THEIR order and even though they were handed the "extra" slaw separately to make up for the last order, THEIR slaw was found missing once we got back home.

New Review: I stopped by here on my way out of town to get a sandwich, which BTW was delicious, I kinda like this place now, not necessarily this particular location but Golden Chick in general. I don’t know why the food was salty the first time I had it, I’ve eaten it several times since, not from this location and it was nothing like it was here. Old Review:I was so excited to try this place out, but once I dug my teeth into the chicken, I almost gagged. It was way too salty, I had to eat a piece of lettuce with each bite to offset the saltiness. Not to mention I ordered half roast and half fried and the person gave me all roast. ANYWHO, IF YOU LIKE TO EAT SALT GO HERE, if you like chicken go somewheres else.

Everyone was so super kind and helpful. Only thing was that my fish was soft fried (needed to be in longer)even after waiting for a while. My chicken was also supposed to be roasted. However, the guy in the drive thru was SO Nice!! He even gave me a free drink. The guy who brought my food out was also very nice and helpful.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this Golden Chick tonight for dinner with my girlfriend. The crew tonight was efficient, able to handle a pretty decent rush an hour before close, and everything was pretty much piping hot. Our tenders were hot, fries hot, rolls hot, gravy hot, corn nuggets hot. I was pretty impressed and happy with my experience here. My only complaint for the food is the tender shape was decently thin for mine, but I also know it’s not the locations fault. My atmosphere rating is due to the almost (sticky?) nature of the dining room. I’m sure freshly cleaned with the wet floor sign, but the cleaner being used must leave a residue. I’m also not sure when Golden Chick redid a lot of their items, but the boxes are much higher quality than they were a year or two ago, the containers for sauce and sides are higher quality. Again, an all in all great experience considering. Hope the owner is proud of their team tonight! (4.6.24)

Golden Chick is my favorite chicken. The staff at the Mansfield TX location always have good customer service. The other day I went and ordered the $6 box with a fried leg and thigh. They had no thighs available. So I asked if I could substitute a different piece, I was told no the management would not allow that. Usually the manager will allow substitutions if they don't have the piece of chicken that you want but they have a new manager and she does not allow it. So I had to just order the 2 piece meal, which was more money. This was bad customer service anyway you look at it. I asked for the manager's name (Milbia) because I wanted to put a review about the bad customer service. I have been going to this restaurant since it was built in my neighborhood. I have never incurred such bad customer service. It is not the customer's fault if they don't have the piece of chicken that the customer request. It takes about 20 minutes for the chicken to be ready and I could not wait that long. I have never incurred this treatment with other managers. I hope that the customer service will improve because we don't like to support businesses with bad customer service.

when you pay a dollar more to get the corn nuggets.. you expect the right amount of portion... you dont fill up the compartment with mostly okra and then put a top layer only of the corn nugget- do better Golden Chick

Drive thru line was long, so I went inside to order. (I usually do anyway). I placed my order fairly quick, but then they proceeded to fill all the drive thru orders before making my order. Because drive thru is on a timer they were pulling everyone thru and making them wait out front for food. They got at least 3 or 4 of those orders wrong. Give food to wrong cars or just incorrect. While those of us inside had to wait for them to fix all that, even though I ordered before the last 3 cars that got their food

No matter how fast service is in the drive-thru line, the customer's experience doesn't end until the meal is served. I checked my order before leaving and noticed the requested and not free condiments were not included in the order. No big deal. I'll just go inside and get it. Well, clearly, customers waiting to be served at the counter is not a priority. I waited at the counter for at least 5 minutes before I decided to try to get someone's attention. By this time, the young lady covering the counter appeared. Ridiculous. To top it all off, the hubs didn't like the catfish. My shrimp was fine, but we won't try seafood here again.

Service was quick and accurate. I give my chicken 3 stars because it was a little dry but well seasoned. I would've preferred gravy on the side of my mashed potatoes instead of top but didn't know that was an option I needed to remove. I would go back, the restaurant was clean and so was the restroom. Now normally when we go there it is fire. Hot and fresh but this time I don't know what was going on. Food was mid. We shall return but will proceed with caution. The drive thru person was super nice and we appreciated her good attitude.

Purchased the 8 piece chicken with mashed potatoes and mac/cheese about 4:30 on 11/22/24! Got home, got our pieces and sides and started eating. Chicken was dry. Under the heat lamp way too long. Had to douse it with the cream gravy to give it some moisture.

My chicken strips tasted like someone cooked them at home and Golden chick microwaved it and then sold it to me. I’m being brutally honest. I just don’t understand how you can spend 10 bucks on some chicken strips and they be as dry as they were. It upsets me because Golden chick is one of my favorite fast foods and it’s constantly hit or miss. My roll wasn’t cooked through it tasted like raw dough. Chicken strips are supposed to be juicy not dry. This is not the first time. I hope they get it together. I really do.

Made an online order.. went through drive they they say it will be faster to come in so I get out of line and the door is locked.. I’m in delivery parking and no one comes out so I call and no answer. I don’t get it…been waiting 10 minutes.

Don't want to slander this place, but I couldn't believe how this company has so many stores with the chicken being mediocre at best. I had the chicken sanwhich and it was not very good. The bun was similar to their yeast rolls but wasn't buttered or toasted, which is my preference. The chicken breast was dry or anything it just lacked any flavor seasoning. I had fries with the meal and they were okay. The sweet tea was good, but how can you mess up sweet? I also tried the two-piece chicken meal (1 roasted & 1 fried). The roasted chicken was descent, and the fried chicken wasn't bad, but again lacked flavor or seasoning. The macaroni and cheese was about what you expect from most fast food restaurants, pathetic. It's similar to what you would get at KFC. Some overcooked pasta in swimming in some cheese flavored sauce. Overall it wasn't something that I enjoyed so it's unlikely I'll visit again but the customer service was okay and the restaurant was clean.

I see most the reviews are positive and I don’t doubt that this place has good service. I never have a problem with the service. Maybe it’s just my luck but every time I come here they are always out of SOMETHING. Could be out of rolls, using backup fries, or backup tenders and doesn’t taste like original golden chick. I don’t know. The employees are fine though. Just sad I can never enjoy a complete meal.

I'm not one to post, but horrible service at the drive thru. One the person taking the order didn't seem to like their job and couldn't even hear them speaking. Two they don't listen to the order correctly where they messed up two of the orders and not finding out till I got home 30 minutes later. I knew I should of checked my order properly. If the drive thru is packed don't stop and move on.

This place can never get my order right. And tonight they did not have Mac & cheese. I left my number when asked with my online order, a call could have been made. Also, this was the worse quality ever from this place. The chicken tenders were very small and very hard like they had been sitting around for a bit. Very busy location. Not sure what is going on here. Second time in 2 weeks that I ordered the wicked wings 9 piece combo but only get 8. Even after I explained my being short changed before and to make sure there were 9, I got 8. To top it off they had no zing packets again, and I guess no zing at all since I got plain wings. No napkins, no zing, no ice, no more! Get your act together, your customers deserve better.

Ordered a $10 3 piece tender combo, which is already ridiculously priced, and got 2 tiny wings, the wrong side and no gravy instead. They almost always get my change wrong, which at this point I believe is on purpose. Drive-thru wait time is super slow, and they haven't had the spicy packets for about 2 months now. They should try hiring employees that can actually read and do simple math for a change. Avoid this place at all costs if you know what's good for you. Never coming back, it's a complete joke and disaster almost every time. Way overpriced too.

May 2021...I'm rating tonight's experience a 1. I used to give this location a 4 star rating back in 2020. The Wicked Wings aren't the same; they've changed tremendously; they are no longer made fresh. Who wants old, heated up Chicken?!? I think when customers complain about the slowness of needing to wait for food (when it's being made fresh), the restaurant eventually changes their speed with preparing and starts serving old food. Dec 2021...I decided to go back and my son had an allergic reaction to the Fried Chicken. I have pictures of his face. He is allergic to Fish. I called and asked if they cook their Chicken in Fish oil. I was assured they didn't. A few weeks later, I allowed him to try it again and he had another allergic reaction. I took him to his Allergy Dr and he said it "may" have come from Fish. The Fried Chicken has a different flavor (has a semi sweet, unexplainable, cramp my stomach taste). And PLEASE know the difference from Mash Potatoes vs giving plain white Gravy.

I ordered door dash from this store while at work. I picked the option to sub. My drink for another side. When my order arrived of course no drink and no okra. I had to call the restaurant about 15 times in a row to get an answer only for Angel to answer and tell me to come and get the okra or call Door dash because there was nothing he could do. Really?? If I could come I would've in the first place and door dash shouldn't have to drive again to pick it up. So unexceptable!! If I wouldn't be taking money from the foor dasher I would cancel it and get all my money back.

While I enjoy the food, this place could not be any slower! The service here absolutely sucks every time we come! I had time to write this review while I sat in the drive-through line for 25 minutes waiting on a two piece meal. Management here needs to realize they have a problem and fix it! I would’ve given them negative stars for service if the option was available.

We have been steady and happy customers of this Golden Chick location. However, we ordered a 20 piece with fries, okra and corn nuggets in January and the food was terrible. The chicken was dry and hard, the fried okra tasted old, and the fries were nasty. We normally love, love, love their fries, but not anymore! I stopped by with the food the next day and told the assistant manager how dissatisfied we were. She took my bag and emptied out the chicken and starting counting how many were brought back. After 20-30 minutes going round and round with her she finally agreed to give me credit for the 12 piece dinner with one side. She supposedly entered into her little book. I told her that I had no idea she would want evidence of the pieces we tried to eat (as seen in the pic of my plate). To say I was disappointed in the quality of the food, as well as the service I received, trying to get get a credit on a gift card (a present from christmas), is putting it mildly. I asked to speak with the manager ovwr and over, and the gal helping me kept coming back to the front from their office, saying he/she said this, or that,....but would not come out to assist me. 🤔 Since when is a manager so uninterested in an unhappy customer that they won't personally come out to assist. The food and the handling of the return was pitiful. Not sure when I'll go back to use my limited credit, because the entire scenario left a bad taste in my mouth. Call me extremely uninterested in giving golden chick future business. I feel like $47.00 went down the toilet. PS. If you order to go, go in the store so you can quality check your meal before getting it home. Also, know that the fries are no longer batter dipped and a crunchy golden brown, they are limp and taste much like cardboard, not even as good as what you would by in the grocery store. They still advertise their fries as batter dipped, but no longer get them from their supplier. My suggestion, go to Chicken Express where quality and taste go hand in hand.

The day was December 15th 2025 and the Tim was 10:35. I was waiting for over 10 mins. He passed by and saw that I was recording. So he acted like his head set died. He was acting like it doesn't even matter and he insulted me. There was a guy that was behind me and he said they ignored him when he was at the door while they pretended to look away and clean.

The people were friendly, but the food was very funky.It was fresh, but it tastes really bad like they used adobo on it.I paid twenty one dollars and sixty five cents for it, and no one in my family wanted to really eat.It's set on the stove for 3 days. Whatever type of seasoning they use, it's horrible.And by the way, I ordered mine plain and it still had some type of funky type of seasoning on it.I would not be going back. I tried it many years ago.And it was good, but maybe it's just this location.But I don't want to take a chance again with my money, so I don't recommend it.

The place was dirty. The table was sticky. I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo meal. It had two tiny, dried up pieces of catfish that tasted like cardboard. The three minuscule shrimp were so-so. The coleslaw was inedible and went straight to the garage. The roll was doughy. I am sorry I wasted $12.95 for this sub-standard meal. It bore no resemblance to the pictures on their TV commercial. Ver disappointed.
