As usual this place does not disappoint. The duck was amazing. The beef tartar was a tasty app. The cocktails are on point. The patio is enclosed with heaters and has super cute and festive Christmas lights up and there is a special menu you can order from. This place has become a neighborhood staple will always recommend 10/10
Absolutely fantastic service and delicious food! Carmen was my server and she was one of the kindest and most accommodating waitresses I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. The whole staff feels like one big family who truly cares about the restaurant and its story. As a Muslim I loved how many seafood options there were. Get the signature pan-roasted blue cod and the lemon mascarpone cheesecake. Both absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I’ll be back as soon as I can, God willing!
Atmosphere was great, good ambience, great service and communication by our camarrera Naya, Shoutout to her. We got served Smaller food portions than I would have liked but I guess I'm different, lol! On the bright side, Our food was really tasty.
Seed Kitchen and Bar has been around East Cobb for a long time. This says a lot because restaurants come and go here very quickly, even chain restaurants don't make it for too long in this area. Seed has a great menu, which I will post the current one in the images of my review below. They also have fantastic cocktails with an unusual twist and a very nice wine list. I will be honest I don't ask for or want a menu when I go in because there's only one item on the menu that I get, and that's the Asian fish sandwich. My wife and I cook quite a bit and so when we go out to eat we like to get things that we typically won't make it home. This sandwich is one of those. They have many seasonal cocktails to choose from, as well as your traditional favorites. Their seasonal cocktails have homemade syrups and herbs that complement the liquor that is used in that particular drink. During our most recent visit, our server Nallely had a great knowledge of both the drink menu and food menu. She was very attentive without being overbearing and had a phenomenal personality for the restaurant business. If you're looking for a tasty and unique menu to dine from, then Seed Kitchen and Bar will not disappoint.
SEED is always awesome. I have been here a few times over the years and it has never disappointed. Today, we had a work meeting to discuss some music projects and made a reservation for a 12:30 lunch slot. I started at the bar with Kristin before the rest of my group arrived. She was very personable and let me try the individual syrups and ingredients so I had the Horse's Neck Bourbon and Ginger cocktail. After everyone arrived, we moved over to Fiona's section where she advised us on what to get. The service was perfect, while we talked shop. For appetizers we tried the Pimento Crostinis and Grit Fritters with cheese. My friends enjoyed the specialty sandwiches and soups, and I got the Sweet Potato Ravioli with some Chicken, but honestly you can't go wrong with the food, service and the bar program here.
My friend and I were looking for a new lunch experience. This chef driven restaurant was just the place! Reservations were easy to make (Though they did have a few tables for walk-ins available.). We were greeted with enthusiasm. The restaurant decor was minimalistic, which I believe allows for attention to details and cleanliness. Our booth had upholstered high back seating, which was not fixed to the floor so it would accommodate body type. The wait-staff is very attentive. Nallely was both personal and professional. She took exceptional care of us. Our adult beverages were called Fairly Odd (melon cocktail)and A House Without a Key (tropical cocktail). We did not order an appetizer, but we heard they were amazing. We both ordered the Daily Trio. The soup of the day was potato and asparagus. It was silky, smooth, very warm, and perfect for a rainy day. The sandwich was a ham and cheese with arugula on ciabatta bread. Taste was fresh and filling. Lastly, there was a spring green salad with strawberries, slivered almonds, and the balsamic vinaigrette. The chef surprised us with a sharing-sized slice of Tre Leches Cake, topped by a very light and flavorful, whipped topping, with perfectly right berries on the side. My friend commented that she does not usually like this type of cake because it is often drowned in liquid, but she said the preparation was perfect. The cake still had texture and the flavor was not too sweet. We highly recommend “Seed”! Interesting fact… The restaurant does not have a freezer. The chef prefers to serve fresh ingredients that are local.
Met friends for dinner. First time eating here, but my friends wat here 2-3 times a week. Recommend the cornbread. Had the scallops and grits, and my wife had a salad with walnuts. This place is pricey, so be prepared for a large bill.
Every time I dine here the quality of the food and service is outstanding. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and what goes into each dish. The food is absolutely delicious, highly recommend the salmon.
The most incredible evening! The moment we walked in we were made to feel like their most important guests. This was our first time there and everything on the menu looked fabulous, so we sought recommendations from our fabulous waitress Veronica. Her suggestions (from appetizers to dessert) were outstanding. Veronica was an excellent server with such a delightful personality. Highly recommend this place 😃
Went here for dinner 1 night and enjoyed it so much, immediately scheduled for brunch the following weekend. Enjoyed their deviled eggs both times and they are EGGS-CELLENT! Depicted is the hot honey chicken & waffles I had on the brunch visit and it was also delicious. Ambiance is amazing and service is on point. Your drinks will be checked up on constantly and a dirty plate won't even stay on your table for long. Staff is even helpful with meal descriptions and suggestions. Very good experience overall and highly likely to return to try more of the menu.
Great restaurant. A bit pricey, but you'd know that walking in. food is fantastic and has a great beer & wine selection. service is always good as well. I went again recently for my husband's birthday and they had "happy birthday Sean" printed on the menu for him 💖 they also gave him a free tres leches cake that was amazing!
This was our first time coming here! We did brunch for a group of 6. I made reservations in advance so as to have outdoor seating. The patio is covered with ceiling fans! We were so happy for that since it was a hot day. Out waiter was super attentive with the refilling of coffee and water carafe. The food was great, my pancakes were HUGE. I ordered the Seed 75, which was nice and strong! They are definitely practicing social distancing indoors: patrons were spread out and spaced between tables. We definitely felt safe, especially with the waiters wearing face masks. We’ll definitely be back!
Everything about this place is exquisite. Love every moment. Just make sure u make reservations lol. Sat at the bar but came in early enough to get a seat. Food was delicious. Will was the perfect server. He did so well recommending so many diff dishes. Ill def be back.
Simply delicious! Fresh ingredients. Wonderful bright, balanced sauces. Each dish was perfectly prepared, conceived and excuted. Every mouthful was a delightful reminder of how thoughtful these dishes are at their core. The dining room is beautiful, bright and airy with lovely artworks surrounding you. Tables were large and comfortable. The room also features and open kitchen and bar (plus another large wine-bar is in the adjoining space). The staff was attentive and delightful as well. Kudos all around. This is one of the finest restaurants in the area.
What a great lunch spot. Fantastic service and food! Both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is great! Our food was delicious and I can’t wait to go back for dinner.
Everything we had for dinner was amazing! The butternut squash soup was so good, I wish I had ordered a bowl of it instead of a cup.
We went here for our Anniversary after talking about trying it for years - And it was worth the wait! Everything from our arrival and warm wishes for a Happy Anniversary to meeting our server who wished the same. The Pork Belly sliders were AMAZING and made us wish we ordered them as a meal. The double-cut Pork Chop was gigantic and superbly cooked. The Chicken Schnitzel was a perfectly balanced dish. They brought a gorgeous plate of Lemon Marscarpone Cheesecake with "Happy Anniversary" written across it, and my husband was in love with the Cookie Skillet! The interior is a cross between a study and a very comfortable sun room out of a Pottery Barn catalog. Once you are seated you feel like part of the family that belongs in the house. The staff is inviting and sweet, and our server was DELIGHTFUL and fun, but knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our dishes. I would highly recommend you try Seed - You won't be disappointed!
Great place for a celebration. We’ve been here a few times & the ambiance, food & service is always consistent. We loved the deviled eggs & beet salad on this visit. The merchant burger was polished off by my kids. They treated us with a decadent slice of tres leches for dessert 👌
Marvelous experience, I have been looking for a good spot that offers high quality brunches with reasonable prices for a long time. They have really knocked it out of the park. Perfectly composed dishes with fresh ingredients bring excitement and joy to every bit. Let's not forget about their cocktails! I have ordered a bloody mary and I was extremely satisfied. Definitely recommended!!!
This has to be one of the BEST restaurant experiences I have ever had and I can’t wait to go back! I made reservations to celebrate my mom on her birthday and every staff member we interacted with wished her a happy birthday! The food is incredible and the portions are large. I had been to Drift several times prior to its closing and have always heard wonderful things about Seed. It did not disappoint. Also want to give a HUGE shoutout to our server Veronica for making our evening so special and so personable! Highly recommend!
Best bartenders in East Cobb. Serving creative delicious cocktails. Excellent food and service.
Overall everything here has been fantastic every time we've been. Their specials are delicious.
I had a wonderful dining experience here with a large group. We had a private room and everyone was seated comfortably. We ordered from a pre fixe menu. Our meals included salad, entree and dessert. We also shared sides. The salad and the dressing was delicious. I enjoyed my hanger steak frites entree, it was tender and juicy. The brussel sprouts with cauliflower dish was very good. The dessert was amazing…the lemon mascarpone cheesecake with blueberry compote was soooo good!. Our server was awesome, he was so attentive and kept our wine glasses full. Looking forward to returning for a great meal and dessert!!
I had the honor of celebrating my graduation from medical school at Seed Kitchen and Bar, and I had a fantastic time. Our server was India, and she did an excellent job making our experience memorable. The restaurant was extremely accommodating for a large group, especially with some needed last-minute accommodations. Everything I tried was delicious, especially the white corn grit fritters. I also got to try the hanger steak frites, spring pea, and green garlic risotto, and I can't recommend them enough. I finished the night with the tres leches cake, which was lovely. They have plenty of cocktails and zero-proof drinks available. I had the beet the heat cocktail, and this was my first time trying a shrub, and I am hooked. I wouldn't have to think twice about coming to this establishment, and I look forward to coming to this restaurant again in the future.
8:45 reservations. Seated promptly. Addressed by staff immediately with drinks and menu's. Carmen's energy was electric and had us laughing. The Appetizer and entrée were well prepared and presented. Mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmm, was all that was spoken as we savored each bite. We will be adding Seed to our list of favorites.
what good time catching up with family and friends .. thanks for the memories 🙏
Just went for a little bit. Got salad and appetizers. Jack took good care of us. Food and service was excellent.
We had a business lunch. We were seated in a side room, which worked well, and our server was super. Good food all around. Several people had the schnitzel- no leftovers!
We had dinner here for the first time on Saturday night. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, the restaurant is clean and well maintained and a great location. We will absolutely return to this little gem of a place!
We had a wonderful date night dinner! Our service from Nallely was absolutely fabulous, she paid attention to every detail and was very attentive and sweet! The food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious!
Friendly staff who greets you and is interested in what they can do to assist you in your choice. Knowledgable in drink and wine selections and how the meals are prepped. You feel welcomed and not just another table
My girlfriends and I sat at Seed Bar for apps and wine for a small easy bday treat! John and everyone at bar made this such a wonderful easy celebratory night! The chicken tacos and deviled eggs were amazing! They set aside the cupcakes I brought and added a candle for my friend to blow out! We love sitting at the bar and being so well taken care of without having a full meal!
My husband and I were guided through the evening by an advanced sommelier (Brian) whose knowledge was matched only by their passion; the suggested pairings elevated every bite, turning dinner into a masterclass in flavor harmony. The appetizers are a great way to get started- deviled eggs and white corn fritters are amazing! The scallops arrived with a flawless caramelization, buttery and tender, while the slow-braised short rib was deeply savory and fell apart at the touch of a fork—a true testament to the culinary talent in the kitchen. The cocktail menu is absolutely phenomenal, with creative, balanced, and stunningly presented drinks that set this spot apart from any other. A must-visit for those looking for the ultimate gastronomic experience. This will always be my go to for any special occasion. By far always exceeds my expectations every time!
Seed still maintains an incredibly high level of performance, overall, after years in operation. The menu remains focused, yet broad enough to have something for everyone, so really expertly devised. The drinks menu is the perfect compliment for the food. Service remains nearly impeccable, which seems something of a rarity these days. And the size and space of Seed creat a vibrant year comfortable atmosphere, Baby-Bear like, just right. If you haven't been or haven't been in a while Seed is definitely worth getting back to.
Aight dawg this place is pretty legit. The food is good and you can tell the cook actually knows how to do their job. The restaurant is very cute inside and semi-upscale. I would say it's expensive for the portion sizes for sure, but honestly anyone that lives in this area doesn't care about cost so it doesn't matter. It was $90 for two people tho if that helps. I would def recommend this place for like a nice dinner or fancy brunch with friends. All the employees were extremely kind!!! The drink menu is very extensive and the Plate of the Day option sounded really good even tho i didnt get that. There aren't that many menu options but all of the things ON the menu looked RLLYYYYY GOOD. So trust and believe whatever you get will taste decent. If you're into sandwiches and that kind of thing
First time here. Will definitely return. Started with the hummus which was excellent. Beet salad exceptional. Hubby enjoyed the peach salad and sockeye salmon. My crab cake was good can’t say it was memorable. Just a good crab cake. except the salad on top was excellent. Our server Carmen was very helpful and attentive.
We sat at the bar and the staff was so friendly. We ordered the Pimento Cheese Crostini as an appetizer...delicious. Lemon Herb Ricotta Ravioli and added scallops to it. So good and the scallops were seared to perfection. Strawberry salad...my friend ordered that and also added scallops to it. Delicious. Will be back because I saw other customers eating the burger and the skillet cookie dessert and I wanted to go over and take a bite of each.
Gourmet fare in a relaxed setting. The food was delicious- one of the best leek soups I have had. Decent portions so you won’t feel hungry an after a $60/pp meal. :) Sophisticated ambience yet a relaxed atmosphere- our server Dee took great care of us. Managed to reserve a table for Friday eve by booking on the Wednesday prior. Glad I did as they did fill up completely.
Solid brunch with some interesting and tasty looking options. I made reservations for 2 at 12:00 on a Sunday, and we were seated immediately when we arrived. Service was friendly and prompt, and our server had quick recommendations which I appreciated. We had the corn fritters (sauce on the side), and they were amazing. I had the seasonal veggie omelet, and while it was good, it could have used a little something... maybe salt, lol, at least a little seasoning. The toast was like a giant crouton, super dry and hard. Overall though I still enjoyed brunch here and would come back for dinner. My main regret was not having enough stomach for some dessert!
It’s Father’s Day weekend and my girlfriend took me out for dinner to Seed. A spot I’ve been meaning to try. Now, up front, I didn’t expect much due to the menu, I didn’t really see a theme or anything that stood out that I had to try. App: started with a chipotle cauliflower soup, really good, creamy, and flavorful. I was surprised. Entrees: GF had the Strawberry Salad (with shrimp) and I had the Hanger Steak Frites. These are pretty simple dishes so I was expecting it to be good. And they were. Tasted good, well-seasoned, & overall good plating. Dessert: we shared the Lemon Mascarpone Cheesecake and it was a solid choice. Creamy and goes great with the blueberry compote. Overall: I definitely recommend trying this place. Staff was friendly & professional. Atmosphere was cool, Mediterranean/coastal vibe. Only thing, the items were slightly overpriced, maybe 5-8% over comparable restaurants.
Seed is about as close to ITP-dining as you can expect to find in this neck of the woods. Nice ambience, FANTASTIC service, & a menu with something for everyone. That said, some of the items are overpriced for what they are, most notably, the “award-winning” grit fritters. $13 for 4 ping-pong sized GRIT fritters. The sauce overpowers the dish & the ingredients & the taste doesn’t justify the price no matter the award. Skip it. The chicken tacos are another dish, while tasty, are overpriced for 3 bite sized tacos. Had there been 4, easily split between 2 people, I probably would forgive the price point. The roasted beet salad was delicious & a surprising highlight of the meal. Deviled eggs reminded me of an “everything bagel & lox”, it was a nice twist. Shrimp sambal was tasty but not memorable. Good but not memorable pretty much sums up my experience with Seed. Had this been an ITP restaurant, I probably wouldn’t frequent it. Because the selection of non-franchise restaurants is pretty miserable in East Cobb, Seed remains a solid dining option when we want to stay close to home.
Garlic fries were good, as was my cookie skillet which they gifted to me for my birthday. My entree was a spicy Korean BBQ chicken sandwich which was also good.
Tuesday birthday lunch, personalized printed menu, very nice touch. Although it was not crowded, they seemed to seat all the guests in one area. The food was very good, our table had fish tacos, salmon, shrimp salad, mushroom ravioli…and lemon cheesecake for the birthday girl. The server was nice. Would definitely come here again.
Really great food but honestly overpriced especially considering the portion sizes. I also wish the environment was a bit less crowded/had less tables packed together. The room is a bit too open so it gets loud/echo-y pretty quickly, making it hard to hold a conversation.
Server, Jonathan was fantastic. Cornbread was fresh and delicious. Food, Chicken and Waffles and my wife's French toast were ok, not special, just ok. Everything was a little pricey, $63 for breakfast for 2 without drinks seems a bit over the top to me.
Is this place worth the hyped?! I’d say no. They definitely have some standouts on the menu, from the Schnitzel to the Korean Short Rib, to the the Fritters, but they were not stars. As I way value against flavor profile, these dishes were way overpriced and over cooked. Both the short rib and the Schnitzel were dry even though that aspect was trying to hide behind the mashed potatoes or the mustard sauce. That was disappointing especially considering the price point. I could have heated up a frozen schnitzel from Costco and had a pretty similar tasted and texture. Now if there is one absolute stunner on the menu, it is their Tres Leches cake. Oh my gosh! Somehow they’ve mastered one of the great Latin American desserts. It was soaked in cream and milk yet somehow the cake itself was firmer in texture yet still permeated with that wonderful creamy sauce. It was accompanied by some fresh berries. It was the winner! Now the restaurant is fine with its open air design yet we were stuffed with our family in some side room around a junky corner with some tacky decorations. We did not enjoy that part. I’m sure the wine bar is good, but the full restaurant experience is not worth it.
Carmen was excellent. She knew the menu and could make suggestions. She was very attentive. Food was just ok and not as good or presented as well as previous visits. The deviled eggs looked a bit hard on top and dry. The sauce on the fritters was great. The fritters just ok. Taco tortilla was not warmed. Cocktails were not very potent and garnishes were an afterthought. Side salad and vinaigrette were fresh and good. Not representative of previous visits so I will probably try again.
It feels like another spot that someone saw was empty and just decided to fill it with a business. The space is not all that and feels a bit cramped in some parts. Food filled me up, but did not present anything memorable. Not sure I see myself returning.
Me and my co-workers came here for a work dinner sponsored by Genesight. All 3 of us contracted food poisoning. We ate salmon and chicken and salad. 1 of us went to urgent care and was officially diagnosed with food poisoning. 2 of us were so sick we could not go to work the next day. I'm not sure what happened but the restaurant needs to figure this out. This occurred in August 2025. We reached out to the restaurant but they are acting as if we are confused and don't know where we ate. They keep acting like we went to a different restaurant. It wasn't the greatest response and definitely did not demonstrate a willingness to take accountability. We weren't even asking them for anything in return. We simply wanted to make them aware of their unsanitary food practices that occurred that day. A shame! On another note, the food was actually bland / under-seasoned.
I’m writing to share my recent experience with Seed Kitchen & Bar in Marietta, GA, regarding their New Year’s Eve event today, December 31, 2025. I have a reservation for six at 6:30 pm and called on December 28th to book and confirm details, as I am a vegetarian. During my initial call, the hostess sounded audibly frustrated and condescending when I asked general questions about reserving for the event. I paused to let her know how her tone was coming across, and she did adjust, but it was an unprofessional first impression. I then asked about vegetarian options and pricing. She directed me to the New Year’s Eve menu online, priced at $115 per person. While reviewing it on the phone, I noticed there was only one vegetarian entrée, while omnivores had multiple options. I asked: 1. Whether my rate could be adjusted given the significantly limited options. 2. Whether the chef and management might consider adding at least one additional vegetarian entrée. The hostess said she would pass my concerns to the manager and that I’d receive a call back within 24 hours. Instead, I received a call on New Year’s Eve at 2:45 pm, just a few hours before my 6:30 pm reservation. The manager informed me that: * The price would remain the same. * No additional vegetarian entrée would be added. When I asked why, I was told it was not the restaurant’s responsibility to encourage me to choose a vegetarian lifestyle—that this was my choice. I found this response dismissive and lacking empathy. Omnivores have multiple entrées that reflect their dietary preferences, while vegetarians have only one, yet everyone pays the same premium price. If dietary choices are considered purely personal and not something the restaurant aims to accommodate equitably, it’s unclear why one group is offered several options while another receives only one. When I pointed out that I was promised a call days earlier, there was no real apology—only the explanation that the manager had been off work and then busy. For a $ 115-per-person New Year’s Eve event, I expected more professionalism, better communication, and a more inclusive approach to dietary needs. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and disappointing. Seed, there is significant room for improvement.
