Opinions de Côte Brasserie - Marlow Marlow
I ordered on deliveroo. The food was incredible, I got the French onion soup, steak baguette and madeleines. My fries were accidentally not put in the bag but the restaurant handled is so professionally. The food more than made up for it, definitely the best food available locally for sure. I’ll be ordering again.
Great food. Not many low carb options (everything comes with potatoes) but still a nice place to go and enjoy a decent meal
I recently dined at Cote Restaurant in Marlow and had a wonderful experience. The salad was fresh and tasted lovely, and there was a good selection of wine. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, with a warm and inviting ambiance. I particularly enjoyed sitting outside, it was very relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I look forward to returning.
Great! Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Delicious, flavoursome food, good portions. Great ambience. Go ahead treat yourself and savour all dishes! 5+
Went mid afternoon on a Sunday, so missed the lunchtime rush. We did the Cote Sunday Special, sharing chicken, pork and steak and a choice of three side dishes for £25pp. Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere. Never felt rushed.
I had a lovely morning at the Côte Brasserie. The sun was shining and lighting up the beautiful restaurant, the food was beautifully presented and of course as delicious as it looked and the staff really looked after me. Big thanks to Jack, Sophie, Tibor and Belle.
Had a lovely three course meal during our short stay in Marlow. I had the pumpkin soup and helped my wife finish the generous serving of chicken liver pâté 😀 We both had the sea bass and desert. Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant managed by Dani, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, Dani's attention to detail and commitment to providing top-notch service were evident. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making us feel truly valued as customers. What stood out most, however, was the quality of the food, particularly the meat. It was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and showcased the chef's skill and the high-quality ingredients used. Dani's professionalism and the outstanding dining experience he offers make this restaurant a must-visit. Kudos to Dani for making our evening so memorable!
What a lovely place to dine, the food was delicious and the staff members were so friendly, especially Vasco who brought kindness and a personal touch to our evening, and we departed very happy. Thank you 😊
Really excellent food and the team were all lovely
I get the mussels every time I visit Côte, and I could never get tired of them. They’re amazing and the sauce is delicious!! Soup was nice but wouldn’t get it again
Amazing experience, great and tasty dishes, lot types of wines, and the peoples who served the food are so nice and kinds.
Great food and excellent service. Worth every penny!
I had my hen do here this weekend and it was fabulous! Service was amazing, food was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful too. Highly recommended
We held my twin nieces birthday lunch here today and from the minute we walked in, we were well looked after. The service, food, atmosphere was great. We would definitely be going back. The staff were excellent.
Everything was really good, no singing of happy birthday which she really expected. Food was really good, the steak was good but really well done and felt like I was chewing gum lol, aside that everything was great. The wait time was not bad, the customer service was good too. I would come back here
First time dining at Marlow. Party of 8 for a birthday celebration. Greeted on arrival, slight mistake about table area preference. Was sorted out with no problem, moving tables together so we could sit where we had wanted to. Daniel our waiter could not have been more charming or helpful, going beyond what was expected, a real gem and asset to the Marlow team. The food was nice, arrived in good time and was enjoyed. The main course was a bit cold, but again, after sending back, it was not an issue, handled quickly and with no problem. So, excellent staff made this visit memorable and thank you again to Daniel for the bubbles!
lovely food, great service, lovely environment - we were even able to sit outside! We did the two course deal - great value for money and decent portion sizes! 10 stars for the very friendly blonde male waiter (maybe the manager)! great service!
Pretty good place for afternoon coffee or dinner. Interior is a bit “plain “. Tasty food, friendly staff, very nice garden. Parking right next to the restaurant. Recommended
Had dinner for 30 in Marlow. Super organisation by Sue the manager. Perfect outdoor area , great service , lovely food and wine . Highly recommend for an event.
This was a birthday celebration with friends. The whole experience was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and service. I had received a voucher for a free bottle of fizz which was served as soon as we sat down without me needing to ask. I have one member of my party who can't drink and two drivers but rather than them missing out the waiter brought them non alcoholic cocktails on the house which was a nice touch. I have notice that the price has crept up which is inevitable i suppose
Good food and good service considering the size of our group
It was warm, well maintained and the staff were so friendly. Quick service too and we had to dash out for a train, so the server was able to get us sorted efficiently. The breakfast selection was pretty extensive and I definitely liked the £14.95 breakfast deal with a juice, any hot drink and hot food item. Definitely a favourite for breakfast - please don't change anything!
Came for Christmas Day. The staff were amazing (as always) the food was perfect (as always)! We had our best Christmas Day here and would 100% have Christmas Day here again. We love everything about this restaurant. Côte is a chain but the staff make it feel like it’s not. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer day. Thank you to all the team for being so lovely and making our day so nice. You’re all the best! Mx
Myself and a small group of seven visited Côte Marlow for Christmas dinner last night, and the entire experience was excellent. We were seated in a semi-private, quieter area of the restaurant, which was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious, the atmosphere unrushed, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their evening. Most importantly, the service was superb. We were primarily looked after by Jacob, who was outstanding - a genuine asset to the restaurant - as was his colleague. Their attentiveness and warmth made the night all the more special. Highly recommended.
My 2 friends and I treated ourselves to a lunch out - and what a treat it was. We were all very impressed with not only the restaurant atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff but overall - the delicious food - yum!! And how lucky for us, it was on special offer and we thoroughly enjoyed our very special Monday treat! Thank you so much
Great lunchtime experience using the app and enjoying the reduced cost Happy fixed lunchtime menu options...another new member treat saw us get two glasses of bubbly fizz for free.. I bought a large red and we paid £45...bream for me after a crab started, chicken salad followed by chocolate torte for my partner...great stop on a grey, overcast Thursday
First visit back for a couple of months and greeted by Armando like long lost friends. As per usual the food and service were superb. The new Hake was sublime and my wife enjoyed her beef cheek. Delighted to see our favourite waitress Sophie has returned. All in all a perfect evening. Thank you Team Cote.
6 of us went for lunch. We had a variety of steaks, chicken and fish, which came to about £40 per head including drinks and coffee. Food was good (my sirloin was perfectly cooked medium rare). Staff were great, just very cramped with 6 adults being seated in a booth (and we had booked in advance the previous week).
The food was good, it seemed quite expensive. Our bill came to £220 for 6 people. The staff were lovely and they were very helpful. We would recommend this restaurant.
I was traveling and decided to stop in Marlow for lunch, planning to eat at the Côte, which had a special January price on their set menu, or as the advert said “The Happiest Menu”. Having arrived, I went in and as it was after the lunchtime rush they had plenty of free tables, even so it was still quite busy. So when it came to choose from the menu, I was told they had no potted crab or charcuterie. That left soup or beetroot salad. I decided to go without a starter, well it was lunch, and they did have cheese as a dessert. While I was waiting I was brought some complimentary bread and butter, which I did appreciate. For my main course I went with the minute steak which came with fries. The steak looked a little anaemic, but the fries looked good. The steak did in fact have quite a bit of flavour and the fries were hot and crisp. The steak came with a sun dried tomato butter. They did have a special offer of free flowing fries, so they went and brought me another portion of fries as I was close to finishing mine. Overall for steak and frites, it was tasty, and for the special price menu, I thought it was good value for money. I could have had a dessert, but I went with the cheese, which the menu said came with a choice of four cheeses, but I was told I could only have three. Which I didn’t quibble with. I gave my choice of three, but in the end though I had three portions of cheese, they doubled up as they were out of one of my choices. I did check the menu later, and I should have had four cheeses. I wasn’t too enamoured with the charcoal crackers so was pleased that they I was given some more bread to have with my cheese. Cheese is cheese and apart from the lack of variety I enjoyed the cheeses I had on the plate, along with the quince jelly. At the end of the day was I happy? Well I wasn’t unhappy. It was a pity there was limited choice for the starter, I had my heart set on the potted crab, and I also liked the sound of the charcuterie. However with the set menu choices it was restricted to the soup and the beetroot. I did enjoy the meal and it was nice to sit down, be served. Service was good, friendly and efficient.
Good food and ambience. My sea bream was pretty tasty, although it would’ve been nice if the skin had been crisp throughout. Maybe the large amount of tapenade on top turned it soggy. I recommend the chocolate salted caramel tart for dessert. Really enjoyed that. FYI, the clementines that come with the tarte au citron are poached in some sort of alcohol, which was a little off-putting for my MIL. Overall, though, we all liked the food. We unfortunately did have an accident when being served hot tea. Luckily I still had on my black coat, so I did not get scalded nor have to deal with visible tea stains on my clothes. This was honestly the best case scenario. Staff were very apologetic and handled it professionally.
We had the prix fixe, steak and fries, and grilled chicken which were perfectly cooked. The decor and cleanliness were very good. The only downside is the lack of convenient parking in that part of Marlow.
Fantastic breakfast. The place was spacious and felt very relaxed. The waiters were polite and happy to make adjustments to out order. The portion of harissa beans was smaller than expected.
I'm going to start of by saying that the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff were very good. The meal did feel special and I will most likely return in the next 6 months. However, it is very hard to find value for money as I feel the vegan breakfast (pictured excluding the Avocado which was forgotten by the kitchen) wasn't enough. It was delicious but even a small touch to have vegan butter with the sourdough toast would have nice. My recommendation to Cote, add some beans and a second sausage and they'll have my business far more often. (Vegan breakfast £9, Champagne breakfast (any breakfast with coffee and a glass of Champagne (pictured) £17) Edit: The first review was in August 2021, my new images are from today (December 2021). This time the meal offered far more value for money, a massive increase in size of the meal. However, the staff were far less attentive and it was difficult to be served. (This is 10.30 on the 29th Dec.
If you’re looking for a nice spot to have a great breakfast, this is the place. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and not too crowded ( we visited one weekend at just after the Christmas holidays). The service was polite and efficient and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The formula breakfast was good value for money as the portions are good, the food is cooked well and the selection is quite mouth watering. We tried the Croque Madame and the cheese was just the right amount of melty ooze and the egg did it’s job of covering everything in hot yolk the minute it was cut open. The crepes were also crispy and lovely, with delicious melted cheese and bacon. All in all it was a lovely breakfast and wasn’t too dear, so will definitely be back for more.
After a wonderful trip to Bicester we decided to stop off as not overly impressed with the options there tbh. The weather allowed for us to sit in the garden. The menu doesn't have a lot of vegetarian options so went for fish and chips. The desert was light and refreshing. Our waiter actually was fab and friendly.
Excellent service. Enjoyed the food, desert too. Wonderful area. Car park literally next door (paid). Overall very pleasurable experience.
Cocktail's were delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the steak but my husband didn't enjoy the taste of his as much. Service was ok.
Very happy with the service and food today♡.
I would normally give 5* for Cote's food, but unfortunately there were a number of dishes that weren't available for our family New Year Lunch. Although service remains excellent 👍🏽
Good food, decent service etc. No issues at all, just didn't blow me away.
Restaurant atmosphere and outdoor seating was nice and service was good and friendly but food was mediocre, I ordered the burger which tested nice but the patty quality was to my expectation.
The food here is pretty poor. The steaks are not good and very overpriced. The portions are small and carelessly presented. The service from the staff made the experience enjoyable and the wines are good.
Service wasn’t good, borderline rude by the younger members of staff, highlighted by the good service and friendly conversation that other customers were receiving. We weren’t given sugar with our coffee and had to hunt for our own, we were not offered condiments either but other tables were. Ignored on our way out as well, won’t be coming back.
Place is nice enough and staff is friendly. No complaints there. But the atmosphere, while the place likely (based on appearance) wants to be upscale, is average, and music is too loud. Service is on the slow side. And the food is fine, but nothing to write home about and definitely not for the money. Overall, an ok restaurant but I'd probably go elsewhere next time.
Popped in for brunch, my daughter scrambled egg looked fabulous, the bacon I had to accompany my avocado on toast looked like it had been sat around for a while and not at all I had envisaged!
I really enjoyed the food here! We went for my mums birthday but what really annoyed me was that they gave her a glass of wine for her birthday (complimentary I assume because we didn’t ask for it) they said it was for her birthday. Then at the end of the meal they charged us for it. It wasn’t cheap either. £6.45 for a small glass of wine that we thought was complimentary for her birthday. Quite disappointing because the meal was nice.
I don’t usually write reviews however i had to add this one. We came here on Tuesday the 17th February and got served by a blonde man with a half cut man bun. I wouldn’t say he’s the best. We sat down at 8:15 and didn’t get our mains until 9:30 and waited around 20 minutes to take our orders by the guy with the man bun (Who was very blunt and quite sarcastic) and he told us that he wanted to ‘give us a few minutes’ before taking our orders. Like 20 minutes wasn’t enough? The wait for the food was quite slow, it was a tuesday and only 4 tables in the restaurant we didn’t leave until 22:30 when we finally got the bill however when we did the guy with the man bun continued to say ‘Well someone has to pay’. The food was amazing and the other waitresses. I wouldn’t usually write a review but i hope this helps. Thank you
Service was good. Food was a pure disappointment. The salmon bernaise is so small... Beyond belief small. You pay £21 for a salmon filet size of your thumb and three broccoli florets covered by a small amount of sauce. Couple potatoes cut in half are given in separate bowl... The starter, squid rings - luke warm, likely reheated in microwave and oil was leaking from them. £45 paid to be grossly disappointed. I can't believe I paid £45 for that
