Outstanding restaurant with excellent service, wonderful food and overall fantastic service. Try there specials
We were a party of 6 and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had the sausage & fig appetizer as well as the Autumn Salad (special). For dinner, 2 of us had the Squid Ink pasta with shrimp, clams and crab (special) which was excellent. My husband had the pork chop which he raved about. The others enjoyed their entrees too which were chicken piccata, Short Rib & Sausage & Rigatoni. The only drawback was that the noise level made it difficult to hear one another.
Ok I admit that I was skeptical when our event was changed to the new location on Main Street, but we could not have been happier with the outcome- the wedding shower we hosted was great- thanks to Laura, Mark, and the staff! They helped set up all of the drinks, ice( they even had the nice silver tubs for wine and prosecco bottles), provided extra gift and dessert tables, printed out a nice menu for guests, refilled juice and fruit as needed, etc. etc. I am so glad we “trusted the process” of their new location. It was fabulous! Thank you!!
Mama Mia, delizioso! The food we had tonight at Allora in Marlton NJ was phenomenal! Veal parmesan is done to perfection, tender and juicy. Chicken parmesan with blush pink sauce and mozzarella on top melted in my mouth. Carrot cake and Lemon cake forget TTT about it living on cloud 9, wow. They start you off with this warm Italian bread dipped in pesto garlic oil oh my goodness 😋 Everything is made in house and the freshness leaves you feeling full without the dragging down feeling. The service and food combined is 5 ⭐ super star. Not to mention last but not least the owner Taylor served us and what an amazing young man with hospitality service that is top notch. If you're ever in the area don't skip on visiting and dining in this restaurant you'll regret it if you don't.
My husband and I had dinner here tonight and we look forward to going back. Very nice clean restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and polite. Our server Megan was very friendly and attentive. Our food was fresh and hot. It is a very limited menu but plenty of variety to choose from with daily specials.
We had my mom's surprise 60th birthday party and WOOOOW the staff at Allora blew it outta the park. We had to delay a week due to some sicknesses and they were so accommodating and helpful every step of the way. I cannot say thank you enough to Laura and her team. Absolutely phenomenal. Service was top notch, food was stellar. All of the courses came out in perfect time. Personalized menus at every table setting and they had enough buckets and containers for all of the wine, beer, etc that we brought and even helped to set up. I cannot recommend Allora enough for a party or just a meal. Thank you thank you to the team, you were amazing!!!
This was our first time at the restaurant. My husband and I met for lunch. I ordered a plainly grilled salmon. The chef did follow my instructions and prepared it in a very appetising presentation. My husband ordered a seafood dish with orzo. He really enjoyed it.
Nice restaurant with delicious food that also felt like a good value. The service was good but a little slow, and the temperature inside a little chilly.
Allora Restaurant in Marlton, NJ Is the place to go for authentic Italian food in South Jersey. Their menu features all of the traditional Italian dishes you would want! Our waiter, Steve was friendly, polite and attentive. As a BYOB restaurant our waiter brought us wine glasses🍷without us asking when he noticed us opening a bottle of wine. It's been awhile since I've been there, and I wasn't disappointed. My friend ordered grilled pork chop and I got chicken parmigiana. The pork chop was juicy and favorable, served with broccli rabe and mash potato. I have had chicken parmigiana elsewhere, but his is the place to go for chicken parmigiana. The Chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, served with linguini in marinara sauce. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and we wanted more with every bite. 😋 I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back! 😊
Went to this restaurant for the first time and everything we ordered was delicious. The food tasted fresh with a homemade feel. We ordered calamari for the antipasto, my mom and cousin ordered the shrimp and crab fra-diablo with blush sauce, and I had the rigatoni di manzo. Also, despite being full from our meal, we ordered dessert. A slice of chocolate cake, and two tiramisu that came in large wine glasses. My mom who is known for not being a pasta or chocolate fan, ate her whole main dish, plus ordered the chocolate cake, and proceeded to lick the plate clean. My rigatoni di manzo was delectable. I wanted to finish it but my tummy wouldn’t let me. I ate the leftovers for breakfast the next day, because I couldn’t wait til lunch to eat it. I was thinking about how tasty it was in my sleep. I spotted this restaurant while leaving Whole Foods to go to Chipotle one day. I looked up online what type of food they served, and got sold once I discovered it was Italiano. I finally got a chance to go and it did not disappoint. Food made me feel I was at a friend’s house for dinner and their nonna wanted to make me feel at home. I will most certainly be coming back and telling everyone one I know about this place. Also, shout-out to our server Laura, you’re amazing. Grazie!
Great place! Very accommodating. And good food, with large portion sizes. We started out by having a family meal here 2 years ago for the matriarch’s bday. They have now become our go-to spot for family gatherings. We’ve sense hosted a graduation party and another birthday party. The fried risotto Parmesan pictured below was yummy, much like everything on their menu. We love coming here. The staff and owners are very friendly and they work hard to provide excellent experiences. Consistent service and did I say friendly? Great neighborhood spot for yummy Italian food!
The food was delectable, the service was excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. I would recommend this place for any kind of event.
Food and service GREAT as always. Flavors combined to form food perfection. Never disappointed. Always Impressed
Came from out of town and wanted to try! Food was great, especially the sausage and fig app, chicken parm, and tiramisu. Laura was a wonderful server, very kind and knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon!
Every time I’ve come here, whether it’s been for dine in or pick up, food and service have been amazing. I’m currently eating the Ahi tuna salad. I was skeptical about how I would like the cucumber wasabi dressing, but I’m so glad I didn’t substitute it, it’s the perfect choice. Ingredients are fresh, staff is wonderful. Can’t wait for the next time I’m back!
We threw a surprise retirement party here last weekend and Laura and her team were absolutely awesome. We needed to postpone once due to guest of honor illness, and Allora was very accommodating and responsive. Putting together the menu was easy and the selection was the best we had seen in the area for a party like this. The food was delicious and well prepared and the room was perfect! We had been here one other time for dinner so we knew Allora would be a hit with all our guests. Absolutely would recommend Allora for any meal or special event! Thank you!
Allora is THE BEST!! We held a bridal shower there on the recommendation of a friend and they did not disappoint! We had a private room for about 20 people. We are from out is state so everything was done via phone and email. They worked with us on all details and a myriad of questions. The day of the shower the room was ready and set up to go. Laura did an excellent job of helping us with getting the dessert, gift, and alcohol tables ready. She helped with anything we needed. It was especially nice to be able to bring our own dessert, decorations, and alcohol. And the food was excellent! No one left hungry! Definitely a GREAT decision to consider them for a private event!
Second time here. Terrific food and super nice/knowledgeable staff. Had the Roman Artichokes and the Veal chop special. Food was delicious and veal was cooked perfect. Portions were just right. Wife had dessert and she loved it. You can tell this is a family run business and they care about your experience. Need to get the recipe for the oil bread dipping sauce, it was delicious. Will be back for sure.
It was a lovely place. The staff was very pleasant. Water glasses always filled. Food was delicious.
Have lived here a long time and never been here and so happy we came!!!! The place is so cute and coffee and bagel sandwich is delicious! Was quick, super flavorful and nice staff. Will be back
10/10! Such a great addition to Main St. We popped in for a quick lunch with our infant son and had the best penne vodka and cutlets, kindest/attentive service and overall great time. Would highly recommend - we’ll be back very soon!
We had an event at their new location on Main Street yesterday. Everything including the food, service and ambience was top notch! Special shout out to Mark and Laura for going out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly. We appreciate everything Mark did so that our guests were comfortable. We see ourselves as regular patrons of Allora! Highly recommended !!
Food was great. Don't like doing ratings for atmosphere since it's contextual
We had my sisters baby shower at Allora. I have been here many times for events and many times for dinner so it only made sense. The food is always amazing and the service is always incredible. My sisters baby shower was the same as we expected. Laura & Emily hosted us for the day. We were given plenty of time to get in early and decorate the room how we wanted. We had Caesar salads, chicken parm, rigatoni with sausage and chicken piccata. All of the food options were amazing and Laura and Emily were very attentive to us and our party the entire time. We highly recommend this space for an event but also highly recommend just for a good Italian dinner as well. You will not be disappointed!
The cooks here are amazing (Alex and JR)🙌 The prime pork chop was to die for! The most flavorful pork chop I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Definitely will be back because of them☺️
ALLORA is a Must-Try! My family’s visit to ALLORA Italian Restaurant was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We started with appetizers that were out of this world—an amazing way to begin the meal. Our server, Laura, made the experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The highlight of our meal was the fresh pasta. You could immediately tell it was made in-house—it was cooked to perfection and paired with rich, flavorful sauces and proteins. Every bite was incredible. The support staff also did a phenomenal job. They kept everything running smoothly, refilling drinks and clearing plates seamlessly. ALLORA is everything you’d want in an Italian restaurant: amazing food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to return and will definitely recommend it to friends. Highly recommend!
We hosted a private party for 60 for my son's first communion. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff, food, and the room made the party as great as it was. A huge thank you to Laura for being very communicative throughout this whole process. We received great feedback from everyone. Thank you again!! We will definitely be back.
I went to Allora last night and was treated to a fantastic Italian dinner. The Menu was small which is usually a good sign of what's to come. However they made me a specific dish which was "Always on the menu" even if it's not stated, I'll let you guys guess. We ordered some appetizers which were fantastic and served bread that was also very good. Our entrees however were exceptional. Our waite was fantastic and the atmosphere was adorable. Truly a stop if your tired of fair to middling Italian food and want a true taste of the old country.
We hosted a private party for 30 yesterday for our son's first birthday. The folks at Allora went above and beyond. The service was fantastic, and the management/ownership were super friendly and approachable. Planning the event was very simple as well. I can't wait to find another reason to host a party here!
Phenomenal!! The food and service are always amazing. Definitely a place you won’t want to miss!
Our 1st time visiting, we were very happy. Beginning with the bread basket accompanied with delicious pesto sauce. We moved onto pasta fagioli soup. Our entrees were chicken parm, short rib grilled cheese, and I chose gnocchi carbonara. Pleased with all our choices. My pasta was light & pillowy, scrumptious...ate the entire plate, which rarely happens. Went home with a couple desserts...a lovely Italian Cream cake, and a cannoli filled with a most delicious cream accompanied with dark chocolate bits. Truly enjoyed. Thank you to our server Laura for taking excellent care of us. I plan on returning for more yummy options to try next and spumoni 🙂
What. A. Dinner!! Looking for a great date night? Look no further. Allora’s original location was our absolute favorite. I’m so happy that their new location on Main St in Marlton is back with all the hits and more! 12 out of 10 across the board. The special salad was so delicious. The calamari….crispy and fresh. My fav, rigatoni primo, is back on the regular menu and it was as amazing as it’s ever been. The chicken parm - best on this side of the bridge or the other! And to top it all off, they now have cannoli as a regular dessert menu item! So delicious - can’t wait for my next one. The staff is (and always has been) the best of the best. We’re already looking forward to our next night out at our favorite Italian restaurant.
Always great food and staff is great. We normally have Steve for our server, who we love, but all staff are on point. We just had another great meal tonight. We have been going here for years and have yet to leave a review. I know they moved to a new location, but wanted to assure everyone the food has not changed and the owner Mark and his staff continue to impress. Keep up the good work, great service, and most importantly great food!
Stopped in to.the new location. Service was fast and friendly. The inside is casual and nice, only complaint is it's loud. The echo could use some dampers. The food was good. Fresh bread with a pesto style dipping sauce. The arancini style appetizer was good. I had the chicken parmesan. The large chicken breast was super crispy and delicious. Pasta was cooked great and I asked for the bolognese sauce which was tasty. Also we had the penne vodka which was good. It's BYOB! I will be back.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and upscale. The service was good all around, waiter was attentive and friendly. We started with the suppli which were delicious, very crispy on the outside with good flavor on the inside. I had the chicken parmesan, I've had better but there was nothing wrong with it. SO had the veal special and loved it. Dessert I had the lemon cream cake, it was very good with a nice balance of sour and sweet.
Really nice place and tasty home cooking. I had the cod special which came with three shrimp, spinach, and risotto. The cod was delicious. Cooked perfectly. I love shrimp and spinach. The risotto was different. It was good but too creamy for my taste. Our server Steve was polite.
I want to start by saying we love Allora. Everyone who works there, from top to bottom is excellent. We’ve had them cater more than one party for us and we plan to again. However, since their primary location moved to Main St things aren’t what they used to be. While the facility is lovely, great for gatherings, it’s lost the romantic/cozy charm of the other location. Without anything to damper the sound, it gets very loud. After a difficult work day, we were looking forward to our favorite restaurant and checking out the new location. While the staff was, again, stellar - we were disappointed in the new, much more limited, menu. While they did keep our favorite salad, caesar with brussels sprouts, the quality wasn’t what it was at the other location. It was good, but it was more a caesar with a few brussels sprout leaves, not worth the up charge anymore. All of our favorite pasta dishes are gone from the regular menu (rigatoni primo where art thou), and have been replaced with hamburgers?! We will be back again, hopefully to their original menu, but I can’t help but mourn the loss of our Italian restaurant. In summation: 1 - we love this place and the staff is amazing 2 - PLEASE bring back your original menu 3 - the noise…..oy 4 - burgers??? 5 - pretty please bring back the original menu….at least the rigatoni primo??
Overall had a good experience. We were forced into an early reservation but there were plenty of tables available. Took a really long time to get out food but the food was delicious.
Food is excellent and service is great. The waiter came right over and immediately open our wine. We put in some appetizers which were very good. We had a barrata cheese with toasted bread. The ladies had the salmon which was done perfectly. My fiancé's brother in-law had one of the specials and I had the Veal San Marco. Very tender and the sauce was perfect. For desert we had the cheesecake cream broulei. Very, very good and the price is very reasonable for te size of the portions.
Love the food and service here but it is very noisy. Nothing to absorb the sound. Had to shout at the other people in our party to be heard. Not planning on going back unless they come up with something to quite the place down.
I just had the cavatelli carbonara as take out. The sauce was separated into pools of oil and clotted dairy. Yuck. The rest of the family ate at the restaurant and loved their food. I threw mine in the trash, however.
We went for dinner the wait time was excessive to get our food? It's a shame. The homemade pasta would have been good if it was cooked correctly. It was actually hard undercooked. I was very disappointed and probably won't return
I attended a baby shower there on Saturday and must say I was less than impressed. How do you have a buffet with hot foods and no way to keep warm. People had to stand in line and wait for more food to come out while what was on the table was getting cold. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed.
Last meal was amazing. Went again and the apps were so good! Got the Surf and Turf with 12 oz strip medium rare and shrimp. The steak came out cold and raw and had at least 4 oz. of fat left on( see picture, yes that pile to the left is pure fat) . Sent back and plate came back with scorching hot fat, same steak and sides hot as hell (seemed microwaved). Still horrible. Gave back at end and told them was not good. Still on bill. Just paid and left. Shouldn’t be up to customer to fight for refund. Probably last time going unless just get apps.
The rice balls came out cold. Twice! The second time was about three minutes before they brought out our meals. The veal parmesan was overcooked, but at least it was hot. I had a lot of pasta water on my plate which watered down their sauce. The eggplant parmesan was just ok. Very disappointed in the place.
I had my daughters baby shower here. I will never have another event here. I had given them a number of 35 guests, which is required 3 weeks prior. Unfortunately, several were ill, one had a pet pass away that morning, others had to work out of town, I ended up with 23 people. I still had to pay for 35 people, was told I couldn't have the food for the number of people that couldn't attend, was told that amount goes towards the "room rent" egen though they say there are no "hidden costs", well thats one!!. A count of 12 people at $24 a head, $288 bonus for them, plus the 20% gratuity, which was over calculated at $185, plus the service sucked!! I definitely do not recommend this place for an event!! My guests were not offered beverages, only the water that was on the table. The only reason we got coffee was because someone asked the waitress after they tracked them down. I was told to book on a Sunday because you wouldn't be rushed out the door. Guess what? We were rushed out the door!! We were out 30 minutes before we had to be out and all of a sudden, the entire staff were in the room cleaning up the tables, moved people's purses, and started resetting the tables before we were finished with our allotted time. Hence, they got $288 extra from me for the "room rent" and still pushed us out the door!! My daughter asked for a piece of cake, the gentleman, named Taylor, said he cut one piece for everyone, she said I did not get a piece, he said someone must have been greedy, he didn't want to cut her a piece, but she said you will cut it and plate it for me and he finally did. Taylor is a very rude person!! Not customer friendly at all!! Service was horrible!! We had to consistently find the waitress whom was just standing around doing nothing and not paying any attention to our event. Never, ever, again!!
First time I ever wrote a review , but felt throw disappointed and what I just experienced , I had to. I ordered a breakfast,2 eggs over medium, home fries with bacon znd rye toast. I wanted to eat and it came to me in a take out container plastic knife and fork. I asked for toast when I ordered it, when it came out, no toast. I ask for the toast and the waitresses weren't sure what to do , then they told me I had to pay extra for the toast , which was ridiculous , never order a breakfast that I had to pay extra for toast it wad always included especially when I payed over $15.50 and the kicker (no water) Will not return!!
We had a reservation at 7 and didn’t get seated until 7:15 while the restaurant wasn’t even busy. It took an hour to get our sodas, every table got bread except us. When the food came out it was cold and my friends meal came out 15 minutes later. Owner came out and barely said a word. I asked to see him again and he was condescending and arrogantly said he has 38 years of experience.
I have been a loyal customer for years and have NEVER had an issue in the past. My parents came to town and I wanted to give them the Allora experience. We had dinner reservations at 7:15 pm on Friday, February 23rd. We arrived at 7:00 pm and were seated in a timely manner. Our waiter, Nunzio (I believe that was his name but the receipt said Taylor S) was HORRIBLE. We ordered 4 entrees, one appetizer and one salad that came to $156.75. He took our order and then we didn’t see him for 1 hour and 55 minutes. There were NO refills, NO checking in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything and most importantly NO updates on what was going on with our order. Once the partial food order did come (1 hour and 45 minutes later) it was served by another waiter (very nice female). She apologized and 10 minutes later the other items came out (delivered by the initial waiter). This is not acceptable. I wanted to leave after an hour but didn’t want to cause a scene so I sucked it up but this will never happen again because they have lost a customer (which they probably don’t care about anyway from what they showed me yesterday.
Came here to enjoy coffees and a sweet treat. it was very sad. the person in the front seemed annoyed after i asked where our drinks were because he started making them 30 minutes after we ordered, and tried to make the hot beverages in a plastic cup. i would get it if it was busy. but it was not. there was barely anyone else and it still took almost half an hour.… i haven’t tried the actual food but the cafe section is unprofessional, at least from my experience.
