This was our first time here and walking in and I was absolutely amazed. The atmosphere was warm and elegant. Seating was extra special as you had an opportunity to sit by the window where you could look out at the water. There menu had some good food on it and it was fresh and delicious. The service was very attentive and we were checked on several times throughout our meal. While the elegant feel id definitely present they have a large bar outside of the dining area where you can sit amd drink and watch football. This is just a beautiful hidden gem. I highly recommend.
Just spent the past week in Philly on vacation and stayed at the Hilton on the waterfront where the Rope and Anchor is situated. From start to finish, spent every day there for breakfast and occasionally for dinner, the around the clock service was incredible, the staff super friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere so relaxed and inviting. I'm not a fan of the noise and hustle of the city, and Keating's was just a lovely place to sit, dine and unwind while watching the riverside, it's just so relaxing. I really enjoyed the great classic rock played there, not too many places I've been to these days have the Police, Steve Miller, and Earth Wind and Fire playing in the background. Breakfast included with our hotel stay was fresh and delicious with a ton of options. Dinner was great, I went with the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon with tomato soup, just an awesome, simple dish with a lot of flavor, but an absolute MUST is the truffle fries which my wife and I had to share, they were so huge!! Special shout out to Dominique who warmly greeted us there often and also in Ellis coffee shop around the corner, and the morning breakfast staff and their excellent, attentive service. Thank you all so much for an awesome stay!!!
Food was great!!! Our server Antwan suggested great options for dinner!!
I checked in and had a few drinks before dinner. Scott and Jackie were very nice and service was excellent. I didn't order food this time as I already had dinner plans but I will in the future.
Very surprising! I was not expecting anything great from a hotel restaurant/bar type thing. I was surprised and was able to eat well. The dishes were reasonably priced and we enjoyed our food. Service could be slightly quicker but if not it was really good and definitely unexpected for this place.
My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing for 5 days and enjoyed breakfast every day at Keating's Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen in the lobby. The buffet was complete with eggs, bacon and sausage along with fruit pastries, yogurt, pancakes and even an omelet station on the weekend. Our server Rafael was great checking on us regularly and did so every day.
We enjoyed this place. It has a nice view of the water. We had the fried goat cheese. It was very good. They have a good beer selection. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.
Sabrina went out of her way to assure that my friends dietary needs are met. The food and ambiance were superb! I definitely recommend Keatings Rope and Anchor!
Nice setting! Good music. The food is great! The steak was wonderfully prepared! The staff here is friendly and very attentive!
Great little place to stop and grab a drink or some pub fare. Whether you are staying at the Hilton or visiting the Seaport Muesem it opens at 4 and has good food for fair prices. There was only one bar tender and one cook but he did a great job taking care of us and the cook pumped the orders out with no problem, very impressed. Since the little boardwalk is shut down this really is the only thing around for food which made it all the more convenient. They also have the Philadelphia Wall of Hope where you can hang a lock with a message of hope.
Guest in hotel, went in for late dinner, water view table, grilled shrimp app was on the money and the fish and chips was cooked perfectly (No meat Friday) Staff, from the hostess to the wait staff was on point and attentive, frequently checking on the table and providing prompt drink refills. Definitely a good option if you are staying at Penn's Landing Hilton
Had a great time and the food, service and drinks were amazing!
Our family had such a wonderful experience this past weekend in Philly! From our great stay at the Penn’s landing hotel to the AMAZING service we received at Rope & Anchor. The food we had for dinner was incredible (the feta balls with honey were amazing) The breakfast buddy was fresh & delicious. Our highlight was The manager though! He was beyond attentive, sweet and truly treated us like family. He came to the breakfast table with little treats for the kids and even gave them a lock & key for the Hope fence and let us take a pic with him. They gave him hugs and already want to go back to visit!
Really nice atmosphere and waiters. Food is delicious!
Good food. Well made cocktails, friendly staff, absolutely beautiful views and area of town. Located in the Penn’s Landing Hilton. This is a great place to stay to see the history of Old Town Philadelphia.
Staying here for work. Met a client and was going to leave the hotel but opted to stay. Great move. If you order the calamari, it is substantial! Great value and delicious (and the peppers are no joke, so you’ve been warned). NOTE: maybe add some tartar sauce to the other sauce. The bisque was tasty as well! Lastly, James at the bar/high-tops is the absolute best. The consummate professional, great food/drink suggestions and can read the room like a pro. Two patrons came by while we ate and commented on how great he was. I’ve stayed on Philly a number of time (Alloy at KOP is another favorite of mine - get the white chicken chili! ), and this is a new favorite!
Great view, on the water. Service, food and staff have always been on par. Nothing much to really complain about. The bar area does get pretty busy Popular place, but excercise a little, not a lot of patients, and enjoy the view
Our server Antowan was great! He made the end of a long stressful day very pleasant with great dinner suggestions and a few laughs.
Very Nice and a cozy place with amazing waterfront views of Delaware river. I was served by Christina. She has an amazing personality and she was able to get my food out in less than 10 mins which is amazing. I was there for a conference and I've tried their breakfast buffet as well it's a flat $20 + tax and it was well worth it for the price!
Christiana was great. She helped me with the selections and drinks. I am setting up as my favorite place whenever ever I come to Philadelphia. My family loves the food, the service, and the overall experience. 👌 ❤️ if there were 10 stars 🌟 🌟 I would give it to her!!
Nice bar by the waterfront. Bartendress didn't smile at all & had no personality. Great photos of veterans also.
This place has a wonderful waitress called Christina. She has (hands down) THE best personality ever, great attitude, great service, and an amazing smile. We enjoyed our dinner and were well taken care of. She truly embodies hospitality and how it should be. If you’re lucky, you’ll get her waiting on you too, and you’ll then understand what I mean. Ps. Get the roasted chicken, you won’t regret it!
Loved it here. Food is good and reasonably priced. All the staff are helpful and friendly! Looking forward to returning soon!
Great place to dine with friends or alone. A very nice and safe area in Philly. Enjoy the water front. Street parking is tough, but parking in the hotel is available
We had a reservation & were seated at one of the windows overlooking the Delaware, just beautiful & the food was excellent
Brittany the maître d is so hospitable and kind! We utilized the restaurant many times during my family’s stay. Great options and quality food for all. The server and Server assistant were both very pleasant!
Number should definitely be higher than it is. We enjoyed it. For how busy it can get and the fact that it's in a hotel lobby, it's still a really nice place to grab a bite to eat. We enjoyed the large portion of calamari and this chicken sandwich didn't have a dry spot anywhere, so juicy. The drinks were on the stronger side, but good. The butternut squash soup was incredible and I really liked my cheesesteak and the fries were fresh and exceptionally done!! Nice view of the waterfront at Pennsylvania landing too!
CARRY OUT REVIEW. Got food to-go while staying at the Hilton—it was Sunday football day so the bar was pretty packed. Finally got a bartender’s attention, placed my order, paid, and came back 20 mins later to grab my food. The food was pretty good—got the Philly Flatbread, Sarah’s Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and Penne Ala Vodka.
Stopped in for a drink and to warm up after our visit to the waterfront and the Philadelphia Hope Fence. Server was attentive and drinks were good.
Finding a good Philly cheese steak while visiting Philadelphia started here. While the atmosphere and service was great, the cheesesteak was a disappointment. Although,it did taste good, I wasn't impressed with the "nacho cheese spread" on top. I expected gobs of provolone cheese oozing throughout the meat. The price was fare, however, my search continues for that amazing Philly cheesesteak.
Solid hotel restaurant. Tried a burger at lunch that was pretty good and the penne with vodka sauce at dinner which was really delicious. Restaurant is right in the lobby area with a good sized bar and other tables if you prefer that. Staff were super friendly and on top of it, though drinks could take a bit when it was busy just due to the volume of orders the bartender was keeping up with. Nice view of the water from the restaurant.
Keating's Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen offers a relaxed, dockside vibe in the heart of Philadelphia. The ambiance was casual, and the cleanliness was spot on. Service was friendly and prompt—no wait for seating and our food arrived in just 10 minutes. I ordered the Torchetti with grilled chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, but the grilled chicken was a bit dry. My wife opted for the spinach and mushroom omelet of the day, which she loved. It was light, just what she wanted, and the French fries were a hit too. Overall, a solid meal with great service, but I'd skip the chicken next time.
Nice place, great views at the harbor. Pasta was a little blend, like they didn't use salt when they cooked it. Asked for some extra parmesan, wich made it a lot better. Service was good and quick. Breakfast options are decent. With an omelet station in the weekends.
Loved the white sangria, steak salad and enjoyed the lobster bisque. Great views of the Delaware River. Great decorations and pictures.
The food and service are good. The view is lovely.
We've been here a couple times as it is about the same price as many of the other Penn's Landing offerings, but far superior service and food. This last time I had the Cheese Steak which was excellent, but the Salmon my wife had was outstanding. Perfectly done and very flavorful. While the beer selection could have been a little better everything else was great. We sat outside which overlooks the marina and is great for people watching.
I have to say, I was rather underwhelmed with the very limited menu! But the service was impeccable from all of the staff and the food I got was really good! The view of the water is also very very lovely! Also, $37 valet due to limited parking is absolutely ridiculous
The food here is decent. Not a huge selection but you have some options. My server Dominique was phenomenal! Her service and attention to detail was impeccable! I may go back just to see her
Unimpressive food, just one small step up from average. Plating was nice on the avocado toast and that was it--tasteless and awkward. Can't recommend. Caesar salad was pretty good and Philly cheese steak was fine. Place was clean and service was friendly and prompt when they did come by.
Decent hotel bar and restaurant. Relevant range of dishes and beers. Not to impressed with their Cheesesteak though. Prices are relatively high, perhaps because the place is in a hotel.
Hostess was a bit snotty when I informed him we had reservations. He never even looked them up. We were celebrating my husbands birthday, and when making reservations, I informed of that. Took a while to get our drinks. Appetizer ahi tuna was great! My dinner was the wedge with steak. My steak was overcooked. We didn't get drink refills until after we finished dinner. My husbands steak was cooked correctly but full of grisel. I expected much more. It's not bad, but certainly didn't meet my expectations. A bit disappointed. Our waitress was chatty and friendly.
I was here September 2nd and 3rd in 2025. Bartenders aren't friendly. Mixed drinks aren't consistent. Unless someone else is picking up the tab, go somewhere else.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel’s restaurant was deeply disappointing. But before I start, the location is great and the restaurant appears nice BUT... The restaurant itself offered very limited food selections. The pasta dish I ordered — penne vodka — was served with a basic red sauce and the pasta was undercooked in parts. The Aperol spritz was watered down, and even the water served was not filtered and tasted unpleasant. For a Hilton hotel restaurant, the quality was far below expectations. Room dining was even worse. On the first day, I placed an online order, waited 25 minutes, and when I went downstairs to pick it up, I was told the food had not even been started. On the second day, the same issue happened again — the staff explained that they don’t actually receive alerts when online orders come through. This meant that after waiting 30 minutes, I had to wait even longer while the order was finally prepared. It completely defeats the purpose of “room dining” if the system is not monitored and the guests are left waiting. Overall, the service was disorganized, the food mediocre at best, and the experience frustrating from start to finish. For a Hilton hotel restaurant, I expected much better. I would not recommend dining here.
Very slow but friendly service. I ordered an appetizer and an entree, was there for 1.5 hours and never got the entree. They did get the bill correct but it was late and frustrating so I just paid and left.
One of the worst hotel restaurants I’ve been to. Slow service at the bar and the hostess was more concerned with her personal mix drink and friends than service. Not to age myself… but the Team America fanatical cross armed signal was the only way to get service at the bar. Two stars because I eventually got my food.
Food was good, the setting was quite nice but the service was below average…my girlfriend and I had our valentines dinner there (the prefixed menu) and it took an hour just to get our appetizers and salad when the tables beside us got their food 40 minutes before we did, the waitress took my salad when I wasn’t even finished with it and it took another hour just to get our entree when my girlfriend and I asked to switch waitresses and they still barely checked on us. Manager was helpful at least but the service was really frustrating , very unorganized especially for what they know would be a busy night
I came in today with my female friend and I ask the waitress Dominque who was in charge of seating us . She said the people in the back and I ask her where are they cause they were taking long . She responded and said I really don’t care. She was very rude and unprofessional. So I reported her to the manager Manuel Sevilla he told me he said something to her. But she never came to me or my friend and apologized for her behavior. I will be calling the hotel in the morning to follow up.
Really bad experience. We came because they posted a promo about chef barbecue on the terrace. No chef, no barbecue, crappy service, crappy food after a long wait. Talked to the manager and got a bunch of excuses. We have not been here in five years, it will be forever when we come back. Such a shame that they do not care...
Reviewed the menu before we came and picked this restaurant based on that . When we got there we were handed a 1 page menu with very little options . I feel like offering a limited menu should be something you need to be transparent about upon reservation. We would have left out we already paid rhe $25 to park . Probably won’t be back
No hostess at the stand. The restaurant pretty emptied waited 20 minutes until I could find a hostess to seat me. This is my second time staying at the Hilton. I’m pretty shocked by the slow service.
