Place is really cool, has the cantina vibe to it. Food is delicious, good portions. Service is really good, super friendly staff Restrooms are clean and maintained Chicken soup is off the chain Quesdillas are good as well, just working in the greesy part of it. James Dean dish is great choice if you want different option in 1 plate. Lots of parking.

It started off as a family adventure with my Grandma and Grandpa on my mom's side and me and my oldest we would go eat and then on the way out get the free ice cream and my son always wanted to play the machines and try to win a ball or animal and then we would go back home to Shreveport well my papaw passed away and we decided since he loved that place we would keep going so I Drive my Grandma every so often it's just me, her and my two boys it's still fun but not the same. The food is awesome and we love going there they are friendly and we have never had a problem with them. Her birthday is coming up soon in November and we are going to go for her she will be 80 years old!!

Always a decent place when we are in town visiting family. Big portions of food. The service has always been good. The A/C is no joke. It’s always cold in here. But overall good place to go.

Food was great as always! Taryn truly goes above and beyond—she’s attentive, friendly, and just an all-around pleasant server who makes the experience better from start to finish. The only downside was the Perfect Patron margarita. For $13, I was hoping it would have a bit more of a tequila presence, as it leaned more on the “mixey” side than expected. That said, overall it was still a great experience, and the excellent service and food will definitely keep me coming back.

After spending a few days outside of Texas, we were really craving some Tex-Mex—and the Jalapeño Tree hit the spot! We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and were seated right away near the bar. Chips, salsa, and a creamy dip were brought to the table promptly, and our drink orders were taken shortly after. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, our drinks sat waiting to be delivered for a while, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the food more than made up for it! I had the Ixtapa, which was delicious, although it came with refried beans instead of the charro beans listed on the menu. My husband had the beef fajita enchiladas and enjoyed them. The staff was very polite and friendly throughout our visit. Overall, it was a solid Tex-Mex experience that satisfied our cravings.

Food is definitely good here. They have both veg and non-veg options. The staff is also good who suggest good options to choose from. Overall, this gives old Mexican Restaurant vibe but does fulfill the expectations. There was waiting time here over weekend dine in, but they offer complimentary ice cream and chips as waiting snacks which was good gesture.

Although this visit was in December, it was unseasonably warm outside and the restaurant was using the A/C which made the tables under the vents absolutely frigid. The food was exactly as it should have been and was delicious. This particular Jalapeno Tree is somewhat smaller than others nearby and has limited seating.

ordered the chicken taco salad. chicken tasted funny didn't taste good at all. ordered 2 tacos then when I got the check they were 7.99 a piece. wife ordered ground beef with her meal and didn't receive the right type of meat. server was great. food tucked so bad.

Lunch menu only has 5 items to choose from so they almost make you order off the regular menu at $16.99 per entree. Quesadilla and chimichanga were mediocre, their Spanish rice has peas and carrots in it which I personally hate. Probably wouldn’t return.

This place has gone to 💩! Me & my husband just had an awful experience. Almost EVERY SINGLE staff member seems like it’s their first day there ! We paid $77 for two bare minimum made meals & two margaritas. While we were there we watched a waitress spill a drink on a family, then 5 min later another girl knocked over my drink in my lap while grabbing our plates. I asked for a to-go cup because I still had half of a margarita left. I was told I can’t take my drink to-go and we still were expected to pay full price for our drinks so I had to sit there and finish the rest of my margarita while soaking wet. So disappointing to see how terrible this location has gotten

Great food but mismanaged. Waited an hour and was told 20 mins. Walked in and 14 booths were open. Over 50 spots that could've been filled instead of waiting. If reserved, no one had showed up.

I gave a one star simply because the food was good. The service was horrible, our waitress Eden took our order and we had to wait 40 minutes for our order to be ready. And another man brought us our order. Another waitress (I dont know her name) came over twice and asked if we needed anything. She did refill our chips. My friend was asked twice if she needed more green sauce, noone ever asked me. When Eden did finally come back around we asked for more drinks and I asked for green sauce. Needless to say I never did get more green sauce. I am very disappointed we have never had that horrible of service when eating there.
