We stopped in for some fish and chips after a walk around the marina. Would HIGHLY recommend. Every single thing we saw leave the kitchen looked delicious and the fish and chips were flavorful, crispy, and fresh. The service was friendly and attentive. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it took 20-30 min for the food to come out. (However, it's a small place and 5 parties all came in at the same time. So I don't hold it against them).

What a cool place to watch Sunday football. Had the best polish dog with pastrami and cheese. So delicious, every last bite. Service was very upbeat and friendly. Recommended a great beer.

Looking for a fun and casual place, Hillside fits the bill! They have a big list of fantastic dogs and sausages on the menu! The refurbished building is an intimate fun place, the friendly staff are super helpful and you will enjoy the fun options on the menu. We had the Bacon, which is a smoked brat with cheese, bacon and onions. The fries have a delicious seasoning with a touch of sweet. My friend had one of the many micro brews in tap and I had a frozen sangria - delicious! They also have rotating flavors of frozen Froses. Check them out!

The counters along the front windows are a wonderful place to sit with a tall craft beer while watching the locals walking by, the traffic and the trains. It's a comfortable place with good beer, wine and real food. Tables on the outside and plenty of street and lot parking nearby.

Love that this place is now open! Really happy for the owners and I hope this place thrives. A few pieces of constructive feedback from my most recent visit. I wish they served beer in real glassware (or something closer to). I realize it’s a breaking hazard, but at these prices I feel like it’s necessary. Froze plastic cup was great! The dogs are varied and fun! I wish the buns were toasted to add some additional texture, (would love to see poppy seeds on the Chicago dog) and the toppings are an interesting mix of classy (guac) and trashy (sleazy nacho cheese). Also, I thought the seasoning on the fries was super good (mixture of sugar and spices) but maybe have it as an option instead of the default? Anyways I have nothing but great things to say about this place and will be back!

My friend and I rode over to enjoy a beer flight. What a great place on the corner. Hillside provided great hospitality to us and our horses making us feel welcomed and comfortable. A fabulous selection of local beer. We loved our selection, Red Trolley was one of them. Next time we will stay longer and also buy lunch. For obvious reasons we enjoyed the tables provided outside.

Awesome hotdogs! Loaded with so many toppings! French fries were delicious with a spice I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Couldn’t stop eating them!! Generous portions! Service was outstanding!! Can’t wait to come back.

Delicious food. Everything is made from scratch, including the slushies, and you can tell a lot of care goes into it. Great beer selection. Friendly service. Definitely drop by for a quick meal after visiting all of the local shops.

Delicious Gourmet Hot Dogs (get the San Francisco Dog), Great Drink Selections (the alcoholic slushies are DELISH) & fantastic ambiance. It's not cheap... but it's a great experience & delicious food! 10/10

Awesome place to grab a sausage and beer, sit back and watch trains go by. My only suggestion would be to add more outside seating, especially for summer. Will definitely be back!

I had the frozen sangria most enjoyable they are open starting Wednesday,11 to 8 Wednesday through Sunday. very tasty friends. I was sitting with and finished eating, but they got a pastrami dog to split it six ways. My goodness that was delicious also.

I really enjoyed food and vibe here. one suggestion, I had the Chicago which was good but highly recommend just going with the classic poppy seed steamed bun like a proper Chicago. no fancy hoagie needed.

A great addition to the downtown Martinez, located right next to the Marina park with a view of the trains as they go by. Practically in the parking lot, it is worth getting off of Amtrak to grab a hot dog. Excellent service and excellent food.

Had an awesome meal here.. Owners were super friendly and passionate about their food... we got a few dogs, fries, and the slushy drinks were AMAZING!!! We also got to try the Chicken sammy which was so juicy... can't wait to come back!

Food was great! Amazing hot dogs and friends, but I can't justify the price. Staff were friendly! We didn't know if someone was suppose to take our order at the table or ordering at the counter when we came in. (It was ordering at the counter) The building has this old timey ambience. It's right next to a railroad, so you can see the trains passing by. Overall, it was a great resturant! I love how it's a chill place to train watch.

You can tell how much thought went in to the planning and renovation of this building. It’s really nice! Somehow feels brand new and like it’s been there forever at the same time. A perfect spot to have a drink and watch the trains. Now— the food leaves much to be desired. From a business perspective— I get it. Upscale a cheap food and make a profit! This is not upscale enough though to make me feel good about dropping $40 on two hot dogs and two sides. It’s hot dogs. Also, I personally think it should be a crime to add that much sugar to a fry seasoning. But that could just be me.

The dogs aren't bad just not worth the price point.

Went in on a Tuesday night and got the following: 2 speciality hotdogs, fries and two beers. The good: large selection of hot dogs, cool interior and lots of beers to choose from. The bad: Overpriced food, weirdly spiced French fries that were the smallest/ large fries I have ever seen, and lukewarm beer in plastic cups. I thought this is a tap room usually beer comes in glass and is cold. $55 later we were still hungry and both agreed we won't be back.

I ordered a $19 dollar burger with fries, it took 28 minutes and the food was lukewarm to touch. Which says something... The burger was sitting around awhile before getting served. That's insulting and unprofessional. Especially because the place wasn't busy. The burger and fries were tasty but would have tasted better if it were warmer or hot. The place is clean and the decorations were neat.

It all seemed fake

The good:cute place, lots of atmosphere. The bad: we ordered 2 lunches, me a regular dog add mayo, tomatoes, guacamole and jalapeños. Hubby ordered a sausage sandwich. We shared fries, he had a soda, I had water. My guac had processed avocado that was like green paste, totally flavorless, and it was an up charge! The salty/sweet fries were weird! Hubby asked for ice, they apologized and said that they don’t have ice in the restaurant! A restaurant that doesn’t have ice!?!?!? The kicker? BOTH hot dog and sausage ere cold! Mine didn’t seem to have seen any heat! So $40.00 for cold sausage sandwiches, weird fries and a warm soda seemed a little excessive! We laughed after we left, definitely a “one and done” visit there!
