As a Canadian trying Jrek for the first time - I would say it’s a bit better than Subway. The staff at this location had to be the most adorable team. They knew everyone that came in and addressed them all as hun or sweetheart which was so cute to see. They had a ton of staff working so there was no wait. The meat was really well seasoned and was a good portion size. My only disappointment is it’s very messy and gets very moist in the foil they wrap it in. I walked a minute to my car - opened both sandwich’s up and they were already soaked and sloppy. Had I waited 20 minutes I think the bread would have just been sog and meat. None the less will probably try again but maybe a cold sub this time.

We stopped going here a long while ago due to questionable sanitary practices. Decided to give it another chance, keeping a close eye on glove usage and raw bacon handling. We were very pleased to find that the folks working when we went appeared to have a much better understanding of cross contamination. Oh, and the sandwiches were good, too.

The subs are always good but the dining area was very dirty every table had left overs from customers in an amount that would appear to have not been cleaned all day. The garbage can reflected that by overflowing. But overall not bad.

Went for lunch on a weekday, people were all new except for Shelly but trying to help each other out. Sub was good. I was impressed with the effort!!

I like their food a lot but was once tricked out of ten dollars. Subs are great and I like their sides too. It's clean and there are lots of places to sit. Most employees are nice, it was just one time that I was swindled out of ten bucks, it hasn't happened since

The subs here are delicious, but there's not much variety as far as toppings, and they won't toast your cold subs for you. My one complaint is that the service isn't really friendly...it always feels like they're just trying to rush you through - no warmth with the ladies there. At least not the ones I've dealt with.

Ordered delivery. My sub came soaking wet. My dad’s sub as he took a bite had the cheese paper still stuck to the cheese in his sub. Definitely not going to order from there again 😩

I recently visited a Jrecks and I have to say, the food was amazing! Every bite was filled with deliciousness, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. However, while the food was great, I have to say that the customer service could have been improved. Although the staff was polite, they seemed a bit uninterested in their job. They did not greet me with enthusiasm nor made any attempt to engage with me as a customer. Additionally, the service was slow, and it took a while for my order to be taken and completed. Despite the lackluster customer service, the food was worth the wait. I could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The sandwiches were packed with meat, cheese, and veggies, and the bread was soft. Overall, I would recommend this sub place for its delicious food. However, if you're looking for friendly customer service, you may want to look elsewhere.

Recently remodeled, much better interior. Service is subpar as always though, the folks that work in here are in a constant state of misery. Also I see the shakers get dropped in the toppings constantly when they're trying to rush sub to sub. Very little care goes into the preparation of your food, especially during the lunch rush. I guess that's the nature of a place like this but it's still a let down. There are better options (quality, price and service) in town for sure. The only advantage is if you work near by. If you want a decent sub for a good price I'd have to recommend On a Roll Deli or one of the Subway locations in town.

Sorry if this posts twice I typed out a paragraph and when I pushed post it went away. Maybe because I didn't have nice things to say 😅. Anyways so as I walk through the door half hour before closing the dude who took my order was pissed before I even said what I wanted. Could you imagine his reaction when I said steak and cheese!? I couldn't even get the word out before this dude literally rolled his eyes so damn hard his whole body turned lmfao! Just a huffing and a puffing the whole damn time asking what i wanted on it angrily. The other 2 workers weren't any better! It was the same with them. The cook was the one with the least attitude(ironic huh) but the other 2 just as rude and arrogant as ever! Don't want a job at fast food? Don't apply! Don't want to do what's asked of you? Also, don't apply! At that point I knew I better get myself outta there before I get in trouble! So I leave the person I'm with to grab the food. Going out I was hoping the few people standing behind us in line wanted hot food too well just because at that point it was safe to say i was pissed lol. So when the person came out I said I hope those couple people wanted hot food too. Which they did! Which they were told the stuff was getting shut down. Guess there wasn't enough time left after that whole few mins it took to make our subs. Then get home to realize the person i was with didn't even get her order bc smug face was busy being arrogant and probably didnt even bother to put it in the bag! Even though she knew what she ordered bc she was pissed when she wanted whatever the roll of the day was and not a plain roll! Ohh and most importantly for the dude who rolled his eyes like a diva, you wouldn't dare roll your eyes like that to my face outside...so I highly advise you not to do it at your place of work.

I had just finished a 16 hour shift (I work at a nearby hospital), starving and tired, and the first place that came to mind was Jrecks. I’ve been to many Jrecks in and around Massena and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The amount of disrespect I received was uncalled for. The guy who took my order had no patience as I glanced at the menu for 30 seconds. No other customers waiting for me at this time. As I ordered, he hastily, almost demanding my order while audibly sighing, did not let me chose the type of bread as most Jrecks do. In an unenthusiastic voice he’s ordering the other employees around to create my order and vaguely asks “to stay or to go” as he immediately turns his body away and asks the employee next to him “Did this guy want to stay or to go?” At this point you can tell the rest of the employees were uncomfortable around him. I asked “what’s his problem?” To the other employee and he looked so uncomfortable he couldn’t even answer me. Kidding or not, that’s just not how you treat paying customers. An older couple ordered after me, the same guy with the same attitude took their order, adding different toppings to two subs and out of his impatience he says to this poor old lady “well you’re not getting your ham and cheese sandwich anyway.” Everyone including the employees give out some nervous laughter. Again, everyone looks uncomfortable. Sarcasm or not, that’s still disrespectful. I’ll gladly drive the extra 10 mins to a different location if it means I won’t get treated like garbage, and I suggest you do the same. If he was having a bad day, I totally understand, but don’t take it out on others who possibly had a long, tiring shift, as I did, especially when you consider spending money at this franchise because you’d expect the decency of respectable service. If I could give this place a negative star, I would, just for that guy. Don’t ever be that guy. If the food service industry is not for you, by all means, leave, so you don’t tarnish the reputation of an otherwise good franchise, and make your fellow coworkers feel uncomfortable around you.
