Just had a delightful dinner here. The bread and salad were already good enough to lift my spirits and it only got better from there. I had the gnocchi rosa which was rich and flavorful. For dessert I had chocalate budino which was very thick and had just the right amount of sweetness. I was pleasantly surprised by every dish.
My friends and I had a great time celebrating her birthday. It was a delightful time. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional.
Luckily, we had a 6:30pm reservation on Friday as they were very busy. This was our first time and we will go back for sure. Shrimp Canale was nice to share, my boyfriend's Pan Seared Scottish Salmon was excellent, and my Spaghetti with Clam Sauce was flavorful and generous in size. But I prefer a bit more al dente. Their side House salad was generous in size and good. We both brought back our dinner as we could not finish them.
Have driven by many times and finally went, was not disappointed! Zucchini app was huge and delicious, I got the gnocchi Rosa and it was great, shrimp Alfredo was also delicious. All the leftovers reheated very well will return!
We had a great experience at Piccolo! We found it online because we were in the area and looking for an Italian restaurant, and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was delicious and the portion size was huge! My husband ordered pizza and he loved it as well! Our server was excellent despite the restaurant being busy! We had a wonderful experience!
Great Pizza during pizza week. Had such a blast eating this freshly-baked pizza 🍕 and it tasted so good. I was a take out order so I'm rating the food only.
George is a wonderful server at Piccolo! 🌟 He is very attentive and personable. He’s here to serve. The food here is lovely and the Italian Wedding Soup tasted homemade. The tiramisu serving is enough for 2, maybe 3. The pic below is half of the serving for tomorrow’s dessert. 🦋 Get to know George, he’s an interesting guy. Can you guess by his accent where he is from? 🤭 As I walked away in the parking lot I noticed a Double Rainbow in the sky!!!
Good quality pizza, Walker in and ordered and it didn’t take long at all, I would definitely come back and try other food.
Absolutely wonderful restuarant. Great Italian food, cozy setting, and very nice staff. I hadn't had a chance to dine here until tonight, but it was 100% worth it. Everything is priced very well, and the portions are definitely filling. Do not pass this restuarant up! Also, get the Tiramisu, it is to die for! Please note that the pizzelle is actually much larger on the Tiramisu, I just couldn't help myself and took a bite before thinking to take my picture.
Came for New Years Eve dinner. Everything was amazing. Had the oysters and rack of lamb.
My family and I ate at Piccolo for the first time today, for Father's Day. I regret not trying this wonderful restaurant sooner! Everything was excellent. We were greeted and seated promptly. The lights were dimmed but not too dark, and the table had a candle which the server lit. The server was friendly, attentive and efficient. She brought out complimentary breadsticks with olive oil and herbs for dipping. We enjoyed the house salads and a Caesar salad, which were cold, fresh and crisp. My husband and daughter liked the house Chardonnay. We had a lasagna and three seafood dishes, which came out quickly. Portions were large and the food was delicious. The server brought out grated cheese and red pepper for toppings. For dessert we had a New York style cheesecake, tiramisu and cannoli, all beautifully plated. Prices were reasonable given the large portion sizes. We will definitely eat here again!
Over All A Great Restaurant! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, cozy & Great Food! Try it once and you are hooked for life. New! They have a new menu! Pleeeease try the “ Shortrib Slider” ( only available on Happy hours :-( )
Nice old fashioned Italian restaurant. Somewhat upscale. Think cloth napkins but no need to dress up. Food was amazing and there was a lot of it. I had lasagna. Was delicious.
The food was amazing! Waiter was a bit awkward but no worries! Definitely a dress up sort of restaurant. Hot peppers, are definitely a bit too hot.
I got a small pizza during the Treamont Art and Culture Festival. It was soooo good! Crispy and chewy crust, savory cheeses and nice sauce. A pleasant surprise. The best pizza I've had in Cleveland - who would have guessed it would come from a truck??
My family enjoyed several delicious meals recently at Piccolo Italian Restaurant on SOM Center Road, Mayfield Heights. After our first visit, I realized that I lost an earring at some point that evening. I retraced my steps and phoned the restaurant. I spoke with a lovely staff member, Fiona. She patiently wrote down my information and said the staff would be on the lookout for my earring. The following week, Fiona phoned me to share the wonderful news that the earring had been found! Wish more than Five Stars were available for this review. My family enjoyed returning to the restaurant & will continue to do so ~ Thank you Fiona ~ YOU are WONDERFUL!
Great food in a pleasant setting. I was there with family and everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. Our server was attentive, thoughtful and welcoming.
Kelsie and Chrstie were AMAZING! Personal, friendly, efficient service!! Food was awesome..hot, tasty, fresh! Great food! Definitely recommend!
We used Piccolo Italian Restaurant to cater my daughters birthday party. Every item we ordered was a hit! The service and the presentation was wonderful. We will defintiely use them again. By the way, the Lasagna was out of this world, no leftovers to be found. Thank you team Piccolo!
1st time at this restaurant, & it was perfect! Our server, Shannon was super friendly, attentive & accommodating.
Great spot. Great food. Great service. Had the full gambit of wine, appetizer, meals, and dessert. Reasonably priced and good portions. I made a reservation for a Monday evening, but we didn't need it I don't think because it was a Monday and slow. (I would still recommend making one). It's in a strip mall so parking is very easy. I would recommend
Had a wonderful experience all around at Piccolo! The vibes here were absolutely phenomenal and the food was fantastic! Our waitress was phenomenal and was so sweet. This is a perfect spot for a date night. I enjoyed everything here at this restaurant. I definitely will be coming back here! ☺️
Put it this way my grandma is an old school Italian, who used to have her own restaurant. She stands by this place and so do I. Outstanding food with exceptional service. If you haven't, you must try! 😋
Picked up the Parmesan package yesterday for family get together. I must say, we were all impressed! Servings were plentiful, food was hot and good. I am usually very picky when it comes to Italian food, but this was delicious! So much for the price - entree, pasta, salad and pizza. Definitely will be doing this again and again.
It was quiet. We could talk and hear one another. The timing of the delicious food coming to the table was good. Our server was kind and thoughtful. We'll go back!
This food was out of this world! The service was second to none. My family and I will definitely be back. I had chicken piccata and my wife had pasta and meatballs. Both were delicious! I also had the brussel sprouts which were the best and most Brussel sprouts would leave me very gassy but these did not. (my wife appreciates that) Thank you for a great meal and service!
We ordered Piccolo catering for a 70-person birthday party in Bainbridge. They did an excellent job! Anna was easy to work with, quick to respond, and made great recommendations. Delivery was prompt and organized. The food was delicious, so many guests complimented it. Thank you to Piccolo! I highly recommend!
It was our first time dining at Piccolo, and the experience was exceptional. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was incredible—truly reminiscent of Italy—and Kelsey along with the bar team provided exemplary customer service. We will definitely be back very soon!
They serve delicious homemade bread. They have a wide variety of Italian foods. The fettuccine was delicious, and there was a generous amount of plump juicy shrimp. Servers are friendly and attentive.
Erika was amazing, she was able to squeeze us in last minute and was very accommodating. The service was amazing and did their best to make us feel welcome. The food came out at a reasonable time for such busy hours (New Years Eve) and the atmosphere was calming. 15/15 stars ⭐
Because I love Piccolo so much, I decided to have them cater my wedding—it was the best decision I made!! The food was absolutely delicious, the team was so easy to communicate with, and every guest enjoyed their dinners. Not one single complaint, only lots of compliments (which means a great deal to a bride and groom! It brought us so much joy and peace of mind!). Piccolo went above and beyond and I highly recommend them for catering events and your Italian dinner nights!
From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how nice and clean this place was. The atmosphere was welcoming and elegant without being stuffy. Our waitress was fantastic!, She was super friendly, attentive, and quick with everything we needed. Now for the food: (The only thing I had ordered this time and I am glad I had) The wedding soup. It was hands down the best I’ve ever had! Rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I highly recommend trying it if you go!! I’ll definitely be back for more. A truly wonderful dining experience all around!
Great food and service. You must make a reservation or you will have to sit at the bar (if there is room there). Can be a bit noisy when they are busy. If you order a Cesar salad ask for light on the dressing.
We went on a week night with a 5:30 pm reservation and did not have a wait. The server met all our needs at our pace. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was quiet for socializing.
We had a party of eight and were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Our server, Maddie was fantastic. Salads were perfect portions. I had the Caesar with anchovies, very good. Everyone loved their entrees. Highly recommend.
Nice dinner for a birthday party for 6. Busy place. Good service. Gnocchi was the best option.good cannolis. Pizza was just ok. Zucchini frites was the best appetizer. Peroni and Great Lakes on tap. Older crowd empties out early. The focaccia was warm.
The Italian wedding soup was perfect for a cold evening. The salad and the pizzas are excellent. The pasta was good but very heavy on raw garlic.
Started with appetizers calamari and mussels. Would recommend having sauce on the side as it makes the calamari soggy. Did not enjoy mussels and was not impressed with wine sauce as it leaves a strong oder . Dinner recommendation was pasta carbonara and Penne Arrabiata. Both flavorful and rich in seasoning Carbonara had chicken added and was creamy. The rich flavor of the Arrabiata was perfect levels of spice as the peppers add a hearty blend of aroma and spice. Kelly was awesome in recommending dishes and specials. Food service was quick and perfect temps.
Piccata is the go to along with fantastic Arugala salad. Wonderful atmosphere with great service.
Been coming to the bar a few times. It's a fantastic place for an Italian bite. Today (Monday) was 1/2 off pizza and house wine bottle -- a great way to celebrate some fantastic accomplishment. Pictured chicken pesto pizza & house chianti One change -- they should ditch the lousy, restaurant anti-stick spray. You can taste it in the pizza crust. That stuff is NOT food! And it interferes with what would otherwise be at a fantastic Pizza 🍕!
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. Small and intimate interior with an attentive wait staff. Great focaccia bread, huge and tasty calamari appetizer, and good dinner salad. I have a thing for trying the Veal Parm when I go to an Italian restaurant. Piccolo’s veal parm was Ok but didn’t come close to the Veal Parm at my East side favorite for Veal Parm- Scotti’s on E 185th. But, will be back to try another dish.
Nice restaurant right in our neighborhood. Me and my husband came here to celebrate our anniversary on Tuesday. There were not a lot of people, quite and nice atmosphere. Food was delicious, but very oily. Something happened with their kitchen printer, and our entrees came late, but waiter came and apologized couple of time as well as the owner.
Fabulous food, but you'll wait to get service, even with a reservation. I wish the place was larger too..seems crammed in the dining area. I'm sure this establishment would florish in a larger space!
Good pizza, good salad. We moved here not too long ago and have tried every pizza place in mayfield heights and don’t like any of them lol. We like the pizza from here! I’m excited to go back to try something other than pizza
Great atmosphere of a small open dining room, and dimly lit (a personal preference). Very friendly accommodating staff. Our waitresses was slammed and she was minimally assisted. Delicious zucchini sticks, and a great dinner salad with homemade herbed balsamic vinaigrette, tomatoes, carrots and garbonzos. The lasagna was plain and partly burnt, but the sausage delicious. (Burned cheese? Great! But burned pasta is not pleasant.) The birthday girl raved about the veal parmesan. The shrimp pasta looked great but tasted fishy. Our waitress, though harried, was the epitome of kindness and helpfulness. She fixed a Long Island ice tea that was too strong (a difficult drink to get right). The maitre D helped with all of our birthday celebration needs: a special table, an altered number of guests, and serving us the cake and ice cream we brought.
Did not get dressing for salads. Who wants a ceasar salad with no dressing? Very annoying - driver is gone. The restaurant has no easy way to contact them to remedy the situation. The food we got was great! I love the food, but they fell short on service tonight…
Our 50th anniversary weekend. Saturday March 16. We asked for a booth, the lady said reserved for 4. We arrived at 4 and when we left those booths were still empty. The food was okay, but not above average. The lady next to us asked her server if she could change the music, she said no owner picks. It was after Who Let the Dogs Out, not exactly romantic or Italian. Our male server never asked how the food was.
Been here a dozen times. Last night was not good. Sent the muscles back. They were very large and did not taste fresh at all. Asked for lite cheese on the piazza, photo below. I would hate to see what heavy cheese looks like. It will be a while before I go back. Sorry you guys were off your game.
Why wasn't the focaccia served warm? Okay so I ordered Eggplant Parmesan and it wasn't hot. Let me say it again not hot. Yes the pasta had steam coming off of it which the manager pointed out, but the Eggplant Parmesan itself was not cold, but was most definitely not at the proper temperature to be served. Our server George when I sent it back says to me do you want it reheated? At $19 and you are asking if I want you to take it into the kitchen and microwave it? The manager then comes out and argues with me. No apology, no nothing. I guess it was crazy for me to expect my food to come out at the proper temperature the first time without it having to be reheated. Now I have managed restaurants before and here's where the train really left the tracks. The coke they originally gave me was diet and not regular and even though I asked them to take my food back, they still presented me with a bill for the coke. That's just poor form. It's also poor form to then dismiss the person who sent back their food and ask everyone else how their meals were. Like I was invisible. Oh and George why did you never come back and refill our waters like you said you would? I will gladly go back to Gaetano's Restaurant where they actually value the customer and the bread is served hot out of the oven and the entrees are also at the correct temperature. I actually had an honest to God Italian nonna and she would never have served food of such poor quality.
I was at Woofstock today and ordered the 9" four cheese pizza from the food truck. I took the pizza home. It was burnt black on the bottom and had no sauce. If I knew it was just bread and cheese I wouldn't have ordered it. It was AWFUL. So burnt. Couldn't eat it. What a waste of $12.00. I have eaten at Piccolo several times. I will not be returning to the restaurant or eat from the food truck again. Word of mouth is the best advertisement!
