( Dream ) Breakfast review. Chef was on fire making special order veggie-omelet-no-cheese to perfection. Avó toast, fruit & oatmeal were a little extra yum. Teresa hustled for my peculiar oat milk -half-caff coffee order. Thank you Teresa for helping us get back on schedule, too. IF I LIVED IN MEMPHO - I would totally check out this chef. Just passing through. 🦋

This was me and my wife first time going and we loved it! The place is very elegant with a great view, staff and menu! She had the wings and I had the French chicken breast, DELICIOUS! When we left the manager stopped us, thank us, and asked about our experience, and I told her like I m telling yall, this is now one of our favorite go to spots for date night!
8/19/19 - My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary yesterday in downtown Memphis, TN. Our very first visit to Memphis. We walked around hoping to find a good local restaurant for dinner to celebrate our special occasion. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon the Bleu Restaurant inside the Westin Hotel. What an awesome experience from start to finish with the food and the excellent service we received. Our amazing waitress, Carmen started us out with a delicious, finger-licking dry rub chicken wing appetizer with bourbon barbeque and blue cheese sauces on the side. For my main course, I tried the grilled pork chop which came with an awesome peach barbeque drizzle, some miniature candied yams and I substitited the sauteed swiss chard for asparagus. The pork chop had wonderful grill marks and was so tender and delicious and I couldn't get enough of coating the pork with the peach barbeque drizzle. The candied yams and asparagus were cooked to perfection and great compliments to the pork chop. My husband had the gemini pasta and added shrimp as his protein of choice. He loved it. The portion ratios were spot on. To end the meal, I really wanted a nice, light dessert. I chose the Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake with whipped cream and fruit (strawberries). OMG...this was the lightest, best dessert I've tasted in forever!! Top layer was white chocolate, middle layer was a darker chocolate and final layer was chocolate cake with the whipped cream and strawberries on the side. I normally do not prefer white chocolate, but this amazing dessert was a pleasing exception for my palate, lol. I savored every single bite. Kudos to the chef and the new manager. We were pleasantly full, but did not feel over stuffed. I must save my best review for our waitress, Carmen. She was so funny and engaging throughout the entire dining experience and helped us create a memorable 35th anniversary dining experience that we will always cherish. Thank you to Carmen and the entire Bleu Restaurant management and staff from Willie and Karen, Mechanicsburg, PA.
The Salmon was amazing! I'm from the Pacific northwest so it's hard to find a place that had fresh salmon let alone someone who knows how to cook it! The staff was very friendly!
Food was very very good! Waitstaff was knowledgeable and accommodating! (Ordered the Bleu Burger $12 ) The bun is off by my choice, it came on the bun... I'm on a high protein low carb diet (shhhhh don't tell anyone I ate the fries 😆) which were very good, in a correctly portioned amount <not super sized> **the lounge** The lounge was SUPERB!! The bartenders were very upbeat and hospitable... in my opinion, they were the nicest people in the entire hotel! Had the Pear Lemonade!!! SOOO DELISH!!

Decent food and atmosphere. Was kind of crowded after to the Grizzlies game but still nice.
Beautiful decor, staff, and food. My only concern was the timing. It took a while to recieve the things we ordered, but nevertheless I enjoyed myself and the food was delicious.
Everything was very elegant! This was my first time here! I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for brunch on a special occasion!

This place is a fantastic surprise! Don't expect the typical hotel restaurent. Expect top restaurant dishes and friendly service.

Appetizers are fabulous. The tuna tartar and lamb lollipops were outstanding. The burger was underwhelming, generally undersea songs, particularly compared to the other food. Service is pretty good, was greeted and seated right away, but ticket time was a little slow
We were staying in the hotel. My wife had two small plates, the chicken pot pie and the beet salad. Both were delicious. I had the salmon and risotto entree, it was so- so. It seemed like both had been cooked some time earlier and reheated in a microwave, the temperature was uneven, with hot and cold spots and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The risotto was very tasty, but with hot and cold spots. The service was excellent. The drinks are over priced. If I tried Bleu again, I would probably stick to the steaks.
Stayed at the hotel, which was really nice. Thought i would enjoy breakfast at this restaurant. Really short staffed. After i sat for about thirty minutes the hostess came to me and said she noticed no one has served me. She came right over took my order and apologized. I told her it wasnt her fault. It was theres. Servers where looking lost. Food was actually good though. I asked her name she said tiffanie. She was amazing. Thanks for turning my morning around
Great location to eat if you are going to an event at Fed Ex Forum, right across the street. Food was good (our appetizer was overdone, but the rest of the meal was very good), service was adequate. Not amazing but a good meal, I'll definitely go back.
Bleu is a great stop for dinner right before you head to the game across the street at FedEx Forum. The food is not bad and they actually have a delicious new brunch offering on Sundays. It's also a great place to grab a cocktail with a pal.
Food was great, service was slow. Got here with reservation at 5:50. Still waiting for check at 7:30. Has to run our waitress down to get water refilled. Not impressed with the service.
Oil seems to be old. Food had a old burnt taste to it. MENU changed. A little pricey for the quality of food.

The idea is that Bleu is "world class meals at a neighborhood price". I would say that those are both slightly incorrect. The foods just a little too normal for "world class" and it's way to expensive to be "neighborhood prices". The foods tastes pretty good, albeit, small portions don't make me feel better about the prices. Also I can say I've never had great service here. It's always very direct, blunt, and to the point. It's a nice place to try out once, but it's not for everyone.
We visited Bleu Restaurant & Lounge prior to attending another event. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who encouraged seating in the bar area due to increased traffic for an event. We were able to find an open table relatively fast. Rick greeted us and shared of his experience of meeting Wendy Williams and seeing Celine Dions tour bus. Rick assured us that he would be able to get us served quickly and would be right back with water. 20 minutes passed and Rick NEVER came back. He was seen tending to other guests, wiping tables and chatting and laughing with other employees and guest walking in from the street area. Upon going back to the hostess she graciously assigned us a new server by the name of Carmen. Carmen was attentive and turned this negative experience into a positive one. If it were not for Carmen the review would have been one star. Carmen had our drinks out immediately, and our appetizers out shortly after. All other entrees/desserts were to follow, she never missed a beat. She made recommendations and checked in to ensure our experience was great. We were able to make our evening engagement on time. Carmen is without a doubt an asset to The Bleu establishment. It’s unfortunate that Rick would rather tend to one race of guest versus serving all nationalities. Thank you Carmen for your service and the wonderful ladies at the Hostess desk.
I went during Memphis Downtown Dining week. My appetizers and dessert were good however our entrées were not. My Red Snapper was undercook while my friend's pork tenderloin was tough and over cooked. They sent it back to the kitchen, and the kitchen sent a fresh plate out of pork tenderloin that was severely undercooked. The manager was very accommodating and replaced everything but I think they need a new chef.
The lamb chop,and cheesecake was good. But,it took the waiter 15 minutes bring drink,and almost another 30 minutes to get food. It was a slow night. And service was still slow.
Service was great, complementary parking was a plus .... however the menu is lacking .. not much to choose from. Food was ok , drinks were good. Love the vibe. Just wish the menu had more to choose from !
Do you find that every restaurant you've ever been to serves pasta too al dente for your tastes? Then try Bleu. My penne was so soft it barely retained its form. The staff was very nice though, and I appreciated that the menu contained a number of vegetarian, vegan, and healthy options (like whole wheat pasta).
Have been a few times off &on not consistent seems to change staff often started off great when they first came to Memphis food could be better
I ordered filet mignon. It was overcooked but it took us almost an hour to get it so I ate it. Overpriced for what I got. I probably had 1/4 cup of potatoes, 4 asparagus and 1 small carrot stick. The waitress was sweet. Not sure I’d go back. The place was nice and clean. You can wear jeans or a dress and feel comfortable there. It looks like a nice restaurant.
Got the the too-common waitperson mantra, "Sorry about that." Wait staff should ALWAYS write down the order and read back to the customer what they think they heard. Would seem difficult to screw up a Bleu burger & fries but waitress (loosely termed) managed. It is the wait person's responsibility to ensure they serve what was ordered. More training needed. Also, the seater/greeter should NOT touch the patron. More training needed. Very unprofessional.
SKIP IT. Especially for breakfast. The service was absolutely terrible. It took 10 minutes to order, 30 to get our food. And 1 minute to realize the food was terrible as well. You can do A LOT better for your money. There were several other tables that had their food before us, but they came in and ordered several minutes after us. At that point other tables who we're lucky enough to have not ordered just left.
I was at bleu on 11/10/2018 and the waitress did not want to serve my table.She was serving other tables around my table. I tried to get her attention, and she ignored us. I finally walked up to her for a menu and she pointed to where I can pick up a menu for myself. She told me they were not serving people, but she continued to serve other peolep. I have a video of her continuing to serve and take orders around us...
We ordered the filet mignon which was over cooked the potatoes were sticky and practically nonexistent and the vegetables were undercooked to the point of rawness. The chocolate mousse cake was gritty. It was happy hour but the waitress never asked if I wanted a second drink and her service was subpar.
Went here for NYE. The food was sub bar. The first and second courses came out exactly 3 minutes apart which should not happen st a five star restaurant. I expect that from somewhere like hueys. Cocktails took about 15 mins to arrive each order (two glasses of wine and two complicated craft old fashions) the old fashions were awful and were not made properly. The place wasn't even busy and they had a full staff for NYE. Table was not properly bussed after finishing the first and second course. The dessert arrived with about 12 plates on the table and we had to move them for the server to sit our desert down. She came back after we finished our deserts to clear the table. One member of our 4 person party got up to use the restroom and she took their plate that they weren't even finished with. We tried to tell her and she apparently didn't hear us. Gnats were flying around our table the whole time. I didn't even know gnats survived in the winter but it's a true sign that the bar or kitchen is not being properly cleaned. I am truly disappointed in the service, food, and all around appearance of this "5 star" restaurant. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but I would love to see a local quality 5 star Memphian owned restaurant take its place. Needless to say that I will not be back, even for cocktails. Please get a bartender that knows what their doing and better friendlier staff. I rarely l ave negative reviews and I always make a point to give a big shout out to our server and let the place know how impressed I was. This place however, is not a true 5 star and I would compare the quality to chilis or Applebee's.
Very rude waitress, sat for 30 minutes and didn’t even get water. Waitress threw hand in air and basically said no we we asked for her. We ended up walking out. Very terrible experience for a Westin hotel breakfast.
