Lovely restaurant, plenty food, drinks and puddings to choose from. Our meals were cook to perfection and they were well presented. The staff was friendly and polite. The restaurant is well look after with a nice coastal appeal, it feels cosy and relaxed. Thank you 😊

Lovely dog friendly restaurant that my partner and I went to this week. The service was superb, attentive and friendly and the food delicious. They were very accommodating of our dog who is by no means small and took a chair away so she had a spot to sit in. I have never been to a restaurant that has done this before so it was really great and I didn’t feel like she was in the way. The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely. It’s a must go to visit

Had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Dylan's after our surprise proposal in Snowdonia! The views were breathtaking, and we couldn't have asked for a better table. The service was top-notch, and the food was incredible. It was the perfect way to celebrate our special moment. Highly recommend!

Delicious food, best meal of the week. We arrived the day a new menu was available and there was plenty to choose from. We sat in the dog friendly section, which was just nearer the door. I'm sure in summer months the view is great, but it was too dark for us to see. Would definitely recommend and given the chance we'll go again. We even had lunch from Dylan's deli in town and that was delicious too.

My family was up here enjoying the beautiful North Wales when we stumbled upon this eatery. They have a great vegan menu and treat allergy requests seriously. I can also highly recommend their flavoured sodas. But my overall assessment, to put bluntly, is that I would make the 3 hour road trip everyday just to eat these tacos again. The only reason I don't is I can't afford the petrol. Thank you to the team for making my dining experience great.

Great views from the restaurant! Good knowledge of coeliac and cross contamination. Good and varied selection of GF food. Separate fryer! I had fish tacos with delicious taco wraps and children shared a GF pizza. Great staff and atmosphere, recommend

An amazing night ,perfect table on the terrace , beautiful food and ambience celebrating our engagement ❤️❤️ Thankyou to the lovely Louis for spoiling us , he’s the best xx

Had absolutely exemplary care and service from the lovely team at Dylan’s today. Manager helped me moved tables to somewhere peaceful when there were some rather unruly littleuns nearby. Not a huuuuuge fan of the very random music- was generally chill but the occasional “Come on Eileen” was a tad jarring on a Friday afternoon. lots of love xxx

Seafood chowder was delicious. Muscle was a must have item. Seafood in general was great. Meat was slightly above average. Service was very good. The restaurant offered a surprise to my son. It’s his birthday night. So sweet!

We discovered Dylan’s a year ago in Llandudno, we live in Birmingham , we love north wales and Dylan’s became our favorite restaurant . We been to Menai bridge once before and we absolutely love it. Service is always great here , food is amazing, fantastic atmosphere and dog friendly. We travel around with our chihuahua and dog friendly restaurant on that level always a special treat hens what became our top favorite restaurant. We also love buying stuff from Dylan’s shop what a great selection of goodness it is .

Dylan’s has an impeccable location, offering stunning sea views — although unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy a view table this time, as they were all reserved. Still, the experience was memorable. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. The staff were attentive throughout, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Dylan’s is well-known for its good reputation, and it’s easy to see why — their Michelin star is well-earned. The overall atmosphere, excellent service, and beautiful setting make it a place worth visiting, and we look forward to coming back (hopefully with a sea view next time!).

Loved this place. Very popular place. Open plan kitchen. Service and decor is nice. Lovely food. Great views overlooking the menai straights. They sell their own delicatessen like sauces and chutneys. Not a cheap place but worth every penny.

The food is fantastic. The lasagna bites and burger especially! Compliments to the waiting staff and the chefs.

Had a great meal here with my sister while visiting the area. My sister is allergic to shellfish and the staff were right on top of her menu choices - really great to see. I had the mussels (even though this is a “wrong” month for eating them) and they were divine - I haven’t had anything even close to them in terms of taste since Iived in Normandy. We were really pleased to be given a table in the patio area, which had great views of the water.

Lovely restaurant on the water with fantastic views! Dog friendly in parts. Service was so friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the chowder!

A

Best to book a table online as it’s always really busy. Worth the wait though because the food is delicious and the views are stunning. The outdoor patio area is definitely the best way to capture the panoramic views and smell the salty sea breeze.

Hello Me

We sat upstairs and the view is fantastic as was the food. We had the calamari, lamb on hashbrown to start followed by seafood linguine and king prawns. Couldn't fault the food. The only thing I can fault was that we weren't greeted as we entered the restaurant. We had to wait a while until someone spoke to us but apart from that our experience was fantastic. Visit you won't be disappointed.

Food here was first class- everything was so fresh and we loved the local products used throughout the menu. View was great and service was brilliant too. I will definitely be visiting the other restaurants soon!

Really glad we came here for dinner. Gemma, our waitress was really nice and attentive. She looked after us really well. Rang up the day before hoping for a table of 8 with 2 dogs and they were really nice and were able to accommodate us at such short notice. The mussels are a must! I would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Dylans Menai recently. Team was friendly and welcoming, food was delicious – varied menu with something for everyone and which including lots of local produce. Always good to see chefs at work in the open kitchen. Generous portions and the Moules marinière and Chicken Parm in particular were very tasty.

A warm and friendly welcome, beautiful decor, and seating overlooking the strait. As well as dining, there's a bar with a large range of quality drinks, including from local breweries, and a shop where you can purchase a range of delicious food products. The menu was good, though there weren't many seafood options, which was disappointing. Saying that, the food we did order was fantastic, in both presentation and flavour. Would like to see more fish on the menu, especially given it's location, but would still highly recommend.

Teresa Rowley

We had the vegan tacos, the vegan bolognese and their signature chips I think it was, and oh my goodness everything was lovely! Big portions and well worth the money. We bought our dog in with us, you can book in advance for a dog friendly table, which was amazing as we'd been out for a walk with her just before visiting. We'd definitely love to come back if we're in the area again to try some other things on the menu!

If you sat down and drew up plans for a perfect restaurant Dylan's is what you'd get. Exceptional service and food. Really loved the attentiveness of the staff and how quick the drinks came. Great varied menu. Known as a seafood restaurant but plenty of other options available. Also beautiful views of the strait. I'd happily eat here every day.

Amazing food! Food options were very creative. I have tried a spaghetti in garlic bread bowl (as shown in picture). Every bit tasted yummy. Inspite of not having resevation, me and a fried managed to get a table. Staff was very friendly and informative. The resturant also has a small sections were their food products were displayed in the resturant for customers to purchase. Good ambience. I would definitely recommend trying food here.

Great venue and better still having a dog friendly section. The staff were brilliant and running around like blue arsed flies, cannot fault them. The food was superb too, I had the lobster ravioli starter which tasted phenomenal. I could of eaten a bucket of it, no problem. The mussels were fabulous too and arguably some of the best I've had. Great selection of drinks available for all tastes so it's a win win. It is a bit dear but for the quality and service, it's not unjustified and it's absolutely worth it. You can't expect quality seafood for peanuts.

Fantastic food, the mussels in particular were lovely. The setting is beautiful looking over the Menai strait. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the food and drinks came at a nice pace.

Delicious food, we had the mussels, steak from the specials and sea bass tacos. Service was fantastic the staff really helpful. Fantastic experience. Also dog friendly so gets extra love from us as leaving the dog in our accommodation alone would be tricky! Thank you

Dropped in on a Tuesday for lunch and got a table for five without booking. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, right by the sea with beautiful views. Food was fresh and tasty!

As the quote would say ‘The hardest thing in life to learn is which bridge to cross and which to burn.’ Well this bridge was well worth crossing!! Wonderful spot for lunch and a fantastic location. We sat overlooking the water and it was quite beautiful. A MUST visit if in the area!!

Exceptional. I always make sure to visit Dylan’s whenever I’m in the area and tbh, I’d go out of my way if I was even remotely close! The best view in North Wales; incredible food (the prawns are to die for!), brilliant music, and attentive & friendly staff - all in a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks Aled, Louis and Phil for the wonderful service and hats off to the kitchen staff! I love the food so much I’ll be back every day I’m here!

We were early so it was a little quiet but that was better. The food was absolutely amazing. There was a little wait for it, but it was hot and fresh so it’s worth waiting for. Serving staff were super friendly and nice too.

One year later we went to the same place and all was perfect again, brilliant food, amazing views, and very friendly and helpful staff. Great to see that one year later they kept up same high standard.

Food was really tasty, so I can't really complain about that at all. The service whilst we were at the table was really good too, our waiter was ready attentive! The views of the bridge were brilliant as well!

Had our 1st Wedding Anniversary dinner here tonight. The food was incredible, absolutely bursting with flavour. The Artisan bread was sooo tasty and the feather blade of beef was melt in your mouth. I cant say enough good things best food Ive had in a while. Loved everything about it, food, staff (Amy our server was so lovely) and setting. 10/10 5 stars 🌟 without question.

The best eatery in the local area hands down! The loaf and lobster ravioli starters were divine. We all thoroughly enjoyed our mains and could only find room to share one pudding… The churros. Now you’d think churros is churros but having had it multiple times, we would say at Dylan’s it was right up there! Lovely restaurant setting with water views. Nice atmosphere. Upon arrival we waited a little longer than preferable for our drinks order to be taken and had to eye a waitress over. However, that is the only constructive comment we have to make about the quality of service. It was otherwise good and we’d like to give a very special shout out to Mylie - our main waitress who was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond with the toddler in our party. Thank you Mylie!

My friends and I have been traveling the UK for two weeks and this is the best dinner we’ve had so far. The bread appetizer was amazing! Louis was fantastic, he was mindful of my fish allergy and offered alternatives. The drinks were great! Dessert was great! Highly recommend this spot!

If you are familiar with Hardens guide you will likely know the standard to expect, if not expect top tier service at this and every other Dylan’s. The staff know how to create a fantastic experience every time. Very happy. Service is matched by the food, so once you have been seated and feeling good then the food options and quality are outstanding. Top tier London experience matched in Menai Bridge. Outstanding. Thanks again.

We had a beautiful meal at Dylan’s Menai Bridge yesterday. The food was of a very high quality and delicious. The service was second to none. We were lucky to get a table overlooking the Menai Strait. I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant right by the waterside. Inviting atmosphere and seating - some by the window next to the river. Parking can be a little difficult but roads nearby have spaces. Good adaptation of the menu - had chilli Calamari in a lovely batter with chilli mayo sprinkled with sliced chilli and spring onion. Main of Mussels. Fabulous. Along with a great selection of wines. We were coming to the end of our holiday but would have returned again if able. Recommended.

Popped in for some lunch with our pooches whilst out walking. Lovely service and top notch food and with fantastic views across the Menai Straight. Great little restaurant, will definitely be back. 👍👍

Amazing food, beautifully presented but whilst the staff were nice enough, the service was slow and they clearly didn't have enough people on to deal with the amount of walk ins they accepted. Location is fab, terrace has a stunning view (but you will be fighting off sea gulls!) But the staff need a more experienced manager (or one on shift!) to organise them.

I have been trying a few new places in the Menai Bridge/Bangor areas. I found Dylan's based on ratings and gave it a try. Though I was without a reservation, I was able to get a table for an hour. Generally a nice atmosphere (except for the oddly barking dog in the dining room). Food was excellent. I had the mackerel pate on a crumpet for appetizer. Less fishy than I presumed it would be. And quite good overall. I had the hake for dinner and it was very good. Light and flaky with a mustard sauce. I would recommend this restaurant for sure. Great views of the water and bridge. Solid dinner choice!

Visited for an evening meal in half term. It was busy but the staff were very friendly and efficient! I feel they very much specialise in seafood here as my daughter’s lobster ravioli and seafood chowder were both amazing! Lasagna bites and tacos were also good, but the burgers and the pizza were just ok compared to other places we have visited on the island. The atmosphere was great and I would revisit on that basis, especially returning on a summers evening for the view over the Menai Strait!

Was recommended this restaurant by a friend so decided to treat my wife to a visit for her Birthday. Location is stunning - just under the Menai Bridge with views out over the Strait. The food was good but not amazing. I had the Korean Burger with chunky chips. I thought the portion size was a bit small for the price. It was very tasty though. My wife had a pizza and we had to send it back the first time as it was soggy. It was quickly rectified and the waitress was apologetic. As a means of an apology we were offered a free dessert, which was a great touch. The restaurant also gave my wife an ice cream platter with Happy Birthday written in sauce. Overall a good experience but thought it was slightly pricey. I know the location is probably a factor here. Would I go back? Not sure… Would I recommend it, probably.

Nice atmosphere, staff are really friendly and welcoming, food was nice but our 2 fish dishes were luke warm and i prefer my fiod hot, I think its slightly overpriced for what it is but it was nice enough

M

Unfortunately, our meal wasn’t as good as the other two chains one in Criccieth on the other one in Conway The meal wasn’t particularly warm and had to send the cheese back on the cheeseboard as was dried up Brie, very disappointing as we’ve had so many good meals at the other two The location is stunning

B
Barbara Araújo

I was honestly a little disappointed. The ambience is very pleasant and the servers were always present. Food comes quick. Notably, their drinks menu has a separate section of non-alcoholic beverages! Considering the awards displayed at the door/website as well as the prices, the food did not meet our expectations. My partner's beef cheek pasta and sticky toffee pudding were not outstanding but ok. My seafood chowder was unfortunately too salty, and the Basque cheesecake I ordered was certainly not that. It wasn't until I was paying that I saw on the receipt that it was listed as a "brownie cheesecake", which wasn't on any menu, so I don't know where it came from. In the end, unfortunately we felt our dining experience didn't match what the restaurant promised. Part of the reason may be because the menu(s) is (are) quite big. Ranging from pizza through tacos to local mussels and other meat. We personally felt that conciseness and focus could improve the quality of the cooking.

We had a booking on Thursday Feb 12th (8.15). We did arrive 10 minutes late which I apologised for. When we arrived we were told that we were the last booking, the kitchen would be closing soon and if we could make our choices as soon as possible. This was 8.30. We ordered wine and the soup and mains which were really lovely. However half way through our mains, the music was turned off and lights started to be turned off around the building. We felt very unwanted. This was at 9.30! I understand that it was quiet but if I thought that we would be such an inconvenience by taking the latest booking available then we would have gone elsewhere. It was just a shame that the rare chance we had a babysitter and a meal was out turned out to be a pretty disappointing experience. I emailed the restaurant the day after but received no response.

F
Fiona O

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We had 2 prams and said so in the booking over the phone. Instead of being told politely where they should go we had 2 different messages from two separate staff members. We were asked to move the bassinet from the fire exit. We did so, then were told it was in the wrong place rather aggressively by a manager called Gemma. When I spoke to Gemma regarding her tone of voice and forceful nature and unwelcoming approach she denied it and finally gave a half hearted apology. We ordered the famous mussels and they were all full of grit. When we complained they pointed out the disclaimer on the menu and advised it was due to the time of year, the chef team had washed them 6 times. I’ve previously been in February and they weren’t gritty. Please see photos of the fire exit and pram placement. There are lots of obstacles including a ladder blocking the exit from the outside. Needless to say I won’t be returning for a third visit, what a shame as the views are lovely. Staff need to be more courteous and mussels free of grit.

H
Hasan Waqar

More style than substance. The staff were fantastic, the dishes looked appealing, and the ambiance and location were lovely. But when it came to the food, it was clear that it wasn’t the priority—it tasted cheap. We were confident that the higher prices would reflect the quality of the meal, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. The burger had a subpar bun, and the ingredients tasted like they were the cheapest options available. The hake was not only small in portion but also lacked any real flavor, making it a poor value for the cost. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed and would suggest others avoid this place until the food improves significantly.
