Started with the mussels which were amazing. For the mains we had the cobia and bream with a side of mashed potatoes. Finished up with the saffron arroz con leche. Had a couple of cocktails and wine. Everything was amazing, server was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere perfect. Highly recommend.

Celebrated my wife's birthday this past weekend at Aguasal. We are big fans of José Andrés. This restaurant has easily become our favorite of his. When you enter it is beautiful and welcoming. We did a coursed menu which was the perfect way to experience the menu fully. The attention to detail of not only the presentation but the taste is perfection. It needs to be said that the Zucchini soup is the I think the best soup I have ever had. But just as good as the food is the service, We had Nicholas and he made my wife's birthday unforgettable and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Genuinely nice and happy. This is easily one of the best dining experiences you can have in Miami if you enjoy José Andrés, Mediterranean food, good service, or all of the above!

I continue to give this place the rating it deserves. I am constantly in search of good food good atmosphere good vibes where I can walk to and from my home on the beach. This place checks off all the boxes. At this time, there is a really nice Miami spice menu happening and even a secondary version of the menu with different price. points. I ended up ordering from the $45 menu as I was just by myself sitting at the bar outside. Full portions came in nothing held back. It was very good. Excellent service by Roger at the bar never disappointed.!

From the moment we arrived at Aguasal, our hostess Angela made us feel welcome on a busy Saturday night . The restaurant itself was a visual marvel. Having just opened a few weeks ago, everything was sparkling new, both inside as well as outside under a covered airy patio. Once seated, our waitress Kris greeted us and explained the concept of the restaurant as well as the menu to us. She didn’t just read from the menu. She went over in perfect detail the food we were about to order. Not many establishments have team members that can describe the menu in such a way that the words are more descriptive than pictures . Very impressive . We chose 2 fish dishes. The Coboa and Dorada. Each was prepared with extreme precision and care ensuring the freshness of the entrees shined through with just the perfect amount of savory seasonings. We finished with an adventurous arroz con leche that was also spectacular. Manager Ian also passed by to greet us and ensure that everything was up to expectations which it was. Aguasal is a superb addition to the Jose Andre’s Group. The entire staff was outstanding. Caring and professional. We look forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.

Another amazing restaurant from Jose Andres! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the service was very fast which was great for me since I’m 9 months pregnant. Our server Kris was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back and will recommend it to friends

We visited this restaurant three times during our stay at the Andaz; breakfast, dinner, and dessert. All were wonderful, but especially the dinner and desserts. The flavors were out of this world and everything was delicious. Our favorites included the mussels for a starter, the cobia for main, and the saffron arroz con leche for dessert (sounds weird, but it’s amazing). The ambiance was great and the staff were all professional and attentive. This is a place to try when in Miami, guest or not.

Aqua Sal at Andaz Miami Beach – A Full-Spectrum Coastal Culinary Journey Stepping into Aqua Sal at the brand-new Andaz Miami Beach feels like being transported to a serene Mediterranean shoreline, where the flavors are as vibrant as the ocean breeze. From start to finish, it was more than just a dinner—it was a soulful experience. The culinary journey was sublime. The oysters were pristine, kissed with just the right brine and citrus. The calamari was delicately crisp and seasoned to perfection. The watermelon salad brought a surprising burst of freshness with a whisper of mint and feta that danced on the tongue. And the dorade? Flaky, tender, and cooked with the kind of mastery that lets quality ingredients shine. But what truly elevated the evening was the impeccable service—especially from Michelle, the bartender. More than just a mixologist, she’s a wellness guide with a passion for breathwork and balance, infusing the atmosphere with a sense of grounded joy. Her energy is magnetic. Her co-bartender, Roger, brought an easy charisma, full of captivating stories and a humor that kept the entire bar glowing with laughter and connection. Together, they created an ambiance that felt both luxurious and deeply human. To close the evening, Michelle surprised us with her favorite dessert: a saffron rice dish that was unlike anything I’ve ever had—aromatic, creamy, lightly sweet, and deeply umami. It was the perfect ending to a perfectly curated evening. Aqua Sal isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a revelation. The blend of coastal Mediterranean cuisine, elevated service, and the wellness-forward energy of the team makes it a new must-visit gem in Miami Beach. I can’t wait to return.

If your looking for an exceptional culinary experience, this is your place. Food here is unique and not found any other place. Good examples are the Calamari appetizer and Seared Cobia entre. Calamari was exceptional being crisp yet tender with great flavor. The Seared Cobia may be one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. The trout roe sauce really set it off and made it amazing. The breakfast had the best freshest pastries I ever had. Especially, the Chocolate and Apple ones were best I ever had. The overall buffet had everything you could think of but was a little cold on some items. If you need warmer eggs they do offer fresh made Omelettes which make up for this. Service at this restaurant is exceptional. Every waiter and waitress I had were well trained and extremely friendly. Even the manager Andre took time out to make sure guest have and exceptional experience. Overall the prices here are high but not for the level of quality and service and location which is well worth the price. I would recommend this restaurant if you have the money and would like the best on the beach.

Ian, the manager, took such good care of us our whole stay that we will specifically be returning our next Miami trip for Ian, Enrique, and Diego in the restaurant. They had absolutely perfect recommendations for food and places to visit and were so friendly and sweet I will remember them all forever. They truly made our stay even better than it already was and it was already pretty amazing but having them take care of us for our friend’s birthday made it extra special.

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. The ambient is so welcoming, amazing food (very tasteful and really deserves a Michelin star), and thanks to Kris our night was perfect. She is an amazing server, really a seller of the plates and the restaurant, and always with a smile to answer our questions. Really recommend!

Had an amazing dinner at Aguasal, and our waiter David truly made the experience unforgettable. He was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were perfect (especially the [insert favorite dish or drink] — a must-try!). David went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows in every detail. Exceptional service like his is hard to find. We’ll definitely be coming back — and next time, we’re asking for David again!

This restaurant is a great addition to Miami Beach! You can tell the difference in quality and uniqueness of food and drinks here. The zucchini soup was the best soup I've ever had. We also got the Watermelon Salad, the Fried Oyster Mushrooms and the Octopus. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Also, it's worth mentioning that the service here is excellent. The staff is really well trained and they're all very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely go back and I recommend to anyone craving a top notch Mediterranean menu =)

Truly loved our Miami spice dinners last night. They actually have 2 menus for Miami spice a 45 and 60 dollar menu. I believe the difference is mainly in the steak selection. We chose the 45 dollar menu with chicken tangine and Dorade fish. Amazing seasoning on the chicken and the fish deliciously crispy skin. The zucchini soup and the salad was amazing. Loved the warm tones and feeling of this place. Nicholas our server was great!

The incredible all the way around. The staff were the most attentive and thoughtful I think I've ever encountered. The location is underneath the pool and the pool bottom is partially transparent and lit up interesting. Very cool.

Hidden gem away from the chaos of the beach. Atmosphere and decor perfectly complement this beachfront location. You only need two words to describe the food ….. José Andrés. Chicken Tagine was not only unique for Miami, it was amazing. House made deserts were on another level. Will be back to try all of the other entrees.

An unforgettable multi-course dinner experience at our new favorite, Andaz! The seafood, especially the Gulf Shrimp was fresh and perfectly seasoned with exceptional bread service. All of our dishes were beautifully curated with an excellent wine pairing. My highlight was the Saffron Arroz Con Leche: bright, creamy, and full of fresh flavor. What truly sets this spot apart is the service. Nicholas was attentive, personable, and genuinely welcoming (a rare find in Miami). His friendly warmth and personal approach elevated the whole evening. Highly recommend for anyone who values thoughtful food and exceptional hospitality.

Everyone working here was friendly. Though, some of them weren’t attentive and we seldom had to wait to request something. The breakfast is of high quality, but it gets repetitive after a few days. It would be nice if they added more variations on top of their American style breakfast.

G

Ricardo's personalized service really stood out. While the food overall was average, the highlights of the dinner were the warm shrimp, crispy dorado, and rich dark chocolate cake.

We found this restaurant while searching for top-rated places on Google and decided to give it a try. Since it was our anniversary, we thought it would be a nice place for a small celebration as well. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. There was no special acknowledgment of our anniversary—no greeting, no congratulations, no gesture at all. We were treated like any other regular customer, which was disappointing considering it was a special occasion we had mentioned in our reservation. Service was very slow. It took over an hour just to receive our salad, which really affected the overall experience. We sat outside, and while the ambiance and the setup of the chairs and tables were nice, it didn’t make up for the wait time. As for the food, I did enjoy the date and spinach salad—it was my first time trying that combination and it was a pleasant surprise. The rest of the food was okay, but honestly nothing extraordinary. The dishes were average at best and didn’t match the restaurant’s high rating in my opinion. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend thinking twice. It might be better to visit casually if you’re just looking for a basic meal. This is not the kind of place that stands out for food, service, or hospitality—just an average restaurant, despite the buzz.

My expectations were really high before we arrived. This is “miami spice “ time for special menus which is full of fail. disappointed !!!! Appetizers were average Main course served cold and meat quality was low, it was chewy , 👎 wines which they served with plates was average Desert also average Service was not even average 👎 The question is “will I go again? “ UNFORTUNATELY NO !!! 👎👎👎

The kitchen took forever to complete our orders. Two people ordered soups and they were served 20 min apart. The fried snapper entree, which appeared 1.5h in, was bone dry.

UPDATE: Don't reply to my review with apologies and a request to contact you and then when I email you completely ghost me! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS RESTAURANT!!!Barely Mediocre menu with very eclectic flavors that would only appeal to those looking for specific cuisine. We used to LOVE Bazaar at the SLS and so maybe we were hoping for those kinds of Jose Andres flavors and were exceedingly underwhelmed and disappointed. The watermelon feta salad was okay but was almost completely lacking in feta. The raw oysters were fresh but the mignonette was so strong as to totally overpower and overwhelm any flavor of the oysters rather than enhancing them as a mignonette should. The cobia crudo was an interesting dish but was overwhelmingly melon and very little cobia and again disappointing. Beef tartare was an absolutely enormous portion but served with no bread or cracker or way to eat it other than with a pathetic number of lettuce leave and a fork and was just too much stuff and not much substance. In fact, it was almost tasteless. But I'm sure my dogs would have enjoyed it that way. We ordered the coconut and the strawberry cocktails and they were super weird and had a very pungent and off putting flavor which took away from rather than enhanced the meal. Service was spotty and not very attentive. We never even signaled for the check, and yet were presented with one with no offer of ordering coffee or dessert. Which we would have considered but as we were given no choice will take the option to never return. Sorry waste of a meal in Miami. Do better

The food is great and so is the service how ever it all minuscules with the atmosphere. The service doors keeps banging shut when ever service people go through the doors. The banging just took away from the conversation and enjoyment of evening unfortunately. I was trying to get the attention of the manage who kept passing by but not oun e stop and ask if everything was ok.

E
Elizabeth Hodapp

The atmosphere was great, but the food was just ok. We ordered harissa carrots that never came and my partner’s burger did not come as ordered. If I was polite and waited for his food to come correctly, my food would have been cold. They also forgot to give me back my credit card at the end. Overall a lukewarm experience.

J
Jeffrey Brashear

Food: fried mushrooms were flavorful but overly breaded, cobia crudo is a creative dish but ratio of cataloupe to cobia is off, grilled salad is also flavorful but over dressed, hanger steak was well-prepared but underseasoned and accompanied with bland sauce and bland roasted potatoes, chicken tagine was inedible. Also, wine list, while nicely focused, lacks vintage info (a pet peave). Service: waiter and other staff were attentive and appreciated but food service was far to slow (well over 30 minutes to appetizers and roughly 90 minutes to second course - the restaurant was far less than half full). Atmosphere: dead (sparsely populated and low energy) with thumping music - feels far too much like a hotel restaurant. Wanted to love (or even like) it as we're José Andrés fans and locals, but was not meant to be.

b
becky

Fried oyster mushroom app was wonderful. Charred gen salad was way too heavy on a bed of creamy sauce, as was the octopus entree which was supposed to be served with a hazelnut “emulsion” but according to our server was a hazelnut “aioli “, which seemed true. It was also cold when it came out. Sent that back and skipped entrees altogether. Atmosphere is lovely. They need to work out a few kinks.

21% mandatory service charge for absolutely minimal service. Not even checked up on us once. The ordering and the check took forever to come. They don‘t seem welcoming at all. Plus, the food was average at best.

M
Miran Sarkissian

Have eaten another Jose Andres restaurants in the country but this one in Mimi Beach was the worst ever! The watermelon salad and cobbia were an absolute nothing even after they arrived with a 20 minute delay! The hanger steak had no taste while the $28 hamburger was a smash burger filled up with pickles and one slice of kaseri cheese! The octopus was the best dish served. The zaatar fries were a joke as they were sprinkled with some oregano fooling people who don’t know the taste of zaatar! All in all, a disaster place for food, service or prices! Never again!

Good vibes (live music) nice decor, but service was super slow and the food was average at best. No taste, some dishes cold, generally not good. Do not recommend unless you're going for drinks.

Extremely disappointed to say the least. We’re guests at the Andaz, and after a long day at Art Basel and needing to get to an event, we figured dining on-site would be quick and easy. I had eaten at the pool restaurant earlier and enjoyed it, so I assumed this would be the same. A hotel staff member even highly recommended it and said he’d let them know we were in a rush. That alone made us feel confident choosing it. I’m writing this in the car on the way to our event because that’s how upset I still am. Our server, Nisa, introduced herself and everything seemed normal at first. My fiancé ordered quickly—salmon, vodka tonic, and calamari. I asked a couple of questions, then ordered their signature gin cocktail (“Melissa”) and the smash burger since I was starving and figured it’d be fast. The drinks came, and mine was honestly disappointing. Half a glass, way too lemony, tasted nothing like a gin drink. I told Nisa when she asked, and she offered to swap it, but I said it was fine. Calamari was just okay. Then we waited. And waited. And she completely disappeared. No update, no check-in, nothing. We finally had to ask another employee to find her. He came back saying she “wasn’t available,” even though we literally saw her standing nearby. Once he checked on our food, it suddenly came right out. My fiancé asked for the check immediately because now time was tight. His salmon was fine. Nothing special. My burger was flat-out awful. So greasy, flavorless, and just… bad. I couldn’t even eat it. At this point I was still hungry and already annoyed by the slow service. But what really set everything off was the attitude. When Nisa dropped off the check, she gave me a strange look and didn’t say a word. My fiancé joked, “She definitely doesn’t like you,” and honestly I brushed it off—until she came back around, glanced at me, ignored me, and then asked only him how his meal was. Purposely avoiding me. At a so-called 5-star hotel restaurant. It was blatant, disrespectful and unnecessary. That’s when I asked for a manager. We explained the whole situation. He removed my drink and burger from the bill, which was fair, but that doesn’t fix the fact that the entire experience was a waste of time, money, and energy. We could have gone literally anywhere in Miami, but chose to stay on property because we trusted the recommendation. And after all that, i left still hungry and annoyed. Between the terrible food, the long wait, and a server who went out of her way to be rude, this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had—especially at a hotel of this level. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

senay tarhan

We had dinner here on Christmas Eve and the service itself was genuinely excellent, attentive, warm, and professional. Unfortunately, within an hour of leaving the restaurant, I developed a severe headache followed by repeated vomiting throughout the night. It was an extremely difficult experience, especially given the timing of the holiday. The following day, once I had recovered, I returned to the restaurant to let them know, not to complain, but out of concern that something might be wrong and to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the staff member was polite and apologetic, the matter did not seem to be escalated, and there was no follow-up or acknowledgment beyond a brief apology. I understand that restaurants cannot always determine the cause of post-meal illness, but at this price point and level of hospitality, I expected more care, curiosity, or accountability when a guest reports such a serious experience. I’m sharing this to encourage better handling of situations like this in the future. The service was excellent, but the way this concern was addressed left me disappointed.

Brunch: breakfast buffet and omelette Summary: thoughtless service, middling food that teeters the edge between ok and bad with a luxury price tag. Buffet plate was $49 per person and every item was cold. Chicken sausage was good. Would’ve been fine if it were half the cost. Omelette was good but took a bit to arrive. No big deal. But then to get the bill paid, they dropped off the check and never came back. Over 15 min and multiple times called on folks to bring the waitress until I went to the front to pay. Gratuity is included btw.

G

Made my reservation, they lost it. Made it again, had a hotel room just for this evening, and was notified the day before they couldn't accommodate us. I went down to the restaurant and it was closed to the public. I imagine some billionaire flew into town and rented the whole place. They wouldn't even return my call to explain. Kinda disappointed.

I was staying at the Andaz and went to Agusal inside the hotel. Around 2 PM on 1/31, my friend and I sat at an outdoor table for brunch. The place was completely empty, and there wasn’t a single person there, yet I still had to walk around to find staff just to get service. Later that same day around 5 PM, we came back to Agusal just to have cocktails. When we arrived, the hostess told us that the cocktail-only area was somewhere else. The attitude felt like we weren’t even welcome, even though the restaurant was completely empty. We explained that the other bar was too cold and that we just wanted to drink indoors. She said “okay” but didn’t show us where to sit, so we sat down at a random table. Then she told us we couldn’t sit there. We asked her to guide us to a proper table, and she asked for my room number and name. I gave her the information, but she acted like she couldn’t find it, even though I was the guest staying at the hotel from 1/30 to 2/2. Their attitude felt accusing, as if they thought we weren’t actually hotel guests. That made us feel very uncomfortable, so we just left. Honestly, no matter how good the food at the restaurant is, would anyone want to go there when the hostess at the entrance acts like that? The attitude we experienced at Agusal made the entire visit uncomfortable from the very start.

The front desk doesn’t understand English, so she cannot find our reservation. After we sat for 1 hr, we got a call asking if we are going to show up. Very chaotic management, not I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. Service person and manager were arrogant, food came out very very SLOW. Come here only if you can speak Spanish, would 10000000% not recommend. WORST experience during our trip in Miami. PLEASE DON’T GO I would give 0 star if I could
