I ordered the BBQ Jackfruit Pulled Burger, it came with Nachos. Y’all it was so freaking good and flavorful. I was being impressed, as I was on the phone I just kept bragging about how good it was. You wouldn’t even know it was jackfruit. So tasty. My lil picture won’t do it justice. But I do plan on going back to try it again or some other stuff. The side of nachos they give you, those were delicious as well.

These people are THIEVES FOR STEALING ALL OF MY MONEYYYYY!! I can’t resist the urge to order the bbq jackfruit burger and chick’n salad sandwich at least once a week via DoorDash! So tasty and so fresh! It’s so hard to find good vegan food that isn’t super expensive but this place has it! Wonderful people too which is a great bonus! I have to warn you though… If you want to keep your paycheck, don’t go here. It’s a slippery slope ❤️

People think it sounds crazy when I say my favorite spot to get vegan food from is a food truck, but it's true! Original Thought has the reggae and calypso tunes, vegan food, and outdoor patio/seating that you need in your life. The staff are the friendliest, too! My favs are the oyster mushrooms bites (honey mustard), quesadillas (bbq jackfruit), and any of the sandwiches. Get out in the beautiful sun and order literally anything off this menu. I'm over there every week!

Loved the flavors, seasonings and the sauce. The food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend this place. Very professional and fast servicd. My only suggestion would be to add a sign so you know to drive behind the building to locate the food truck. Definitely will be back again.

Delicioussssssss - go for the better than Popeyes!!! Amazing people working there and the food is amazing. The atmosphere is pretty cool too! Positive vibes everywhere. Go support them for sureeeee the address isn’t perfect, it brings you to the back of the building and you got go around to the front(by car).

The quality of the food was amazing. I had the cauliwings and quesadilla and I highly recommend both items. They are great alternative to its non-vegan counterparts. The taste is so clean and I like that I can indulge without the after effects of being sluggish or upset stomach.

Found this restaurant online while looking for vegetarian option . We tried the BBQ jack quesadilla, breakfast burrito and cheese sandwich , they were was delicious . If you use google maps to find the location it might take you the front side of the building but the truck is located behind so go around and you won’t be disappointed .

Great customer service and the BEST chicken parm sandwich i’ve tried them a long time! Everything is vegan and please try the strawberry banana smoothie , it was very tasty and beneficial to your health. Definitely a number one supporter here on out

I don’t normally review restaurants even though I eat out all the time, but this gumbo is so good I had to pull my phone out and review while eating. Honestly soooooo good, I almost can’t believe it. Quesadilla with jackfruit was also amazing!

After a kayak swamp lands tour we had a restaurant that was 100 feet away. When we got there, they were not serving food that night. Their loss. We did a quick search for vegan food and Original Thought was the first option. We ordered a ride share and went to the location. Please their website which will help you get there. It is a food truck in a parking lot, worth it. We were the only ones there and had a great experience. The two staff were amazing and deserve your support. The food was fun, delicious, tasty, and all vegan (plant-based). If you do not eat vegan food and say,”pass.” You are missing out. I highly recommend Original Thought.

Everything they serve is beneficial to your body in way or another. I ordered the detox set cause I had been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. I changed my diet and I stayed on the detox. A few months later my gynecologist doesn’t see any more cancer cells!! My doctor was shook. Original thought Nola is legit!! Thank you so much for what you do.

Not only is the food absolutely FABULOUS, but when the third party delivery service dropped the ball and failed to deliver our food to us (my husband and I were visiting NOLA on a biz trip), the owner, Bolingo, personally delivered our food to us. Brittany was wonderful helping me decide on my first Original Thought order, which was a feat in itself because the menu has so many yummy options! I have found my “go-to” Vegan restaurant in New Orleans! Even my husband, who isn’t a Vegan, loved it! In the capital of the world’s best food, Original Thought certainly reiterates that Vegan food is by far the best option for me.

I had a good lunch. I also got a quesadilla, fried cauliflower, hibiscus tea, and a pulled bbq jackfruit sandwich. Everything was delicious and freshly made to order. The dinner was praised by all of the other guests that were present! This is the greatest local vegan restaurant that we have tried. The staff was really welcoming. We're absolutely coming back.

This is by far the best vegan food I tried in NOLA. We shared the crunch wrap with BBQ jackfruit and the better than Popeyes sandwich with Buffalo cauliflower for the side. Both were SO good! Well worth the drive to their location. The food truck is located on the back side of the orange building.

OMG. This place is fabulous. Such delicious flavor and seasoning. We tried the cauliflower wings, the chicken jackfruit sandwich as well as the original burger combo and everything was delicious. I would also suggest trying the hibiscus with mango tea. We came here while traveling from Miami to New Orleans and definitely coming back whenever in town.

The vegan quesadilla was no good. It had like no cheese in it, at all! Also hardly anything else in it either. I had it with the original sausage, did not taste good. The vegan chicken salad sandwich was ok; prefer the mock chicken salad at whole foods.

I haven’t eaten the food here. My complaint is that your hours say you close at 7pm. I’m from out of town. I got to the restaurant before 5 pm and you’re closed. I get there and someone is cleaning up. I called several time before I came and no one answered. I wasted money on Uber. I also called and spoke to someone earlier today asking what time will they be open until and she told me 5pm. At least answer your phone if you’re still there and let people know you’re closed. I wasted over $20 on Uber.
