The wings and the beignets were very good. The view is amazing.

Great views and the beignets were awesome!!!!

A beautiful area with amazing views of the city, as well as amazing drinks! The service was really fantastic, and so was the look of the city in the backdrop. This place is an amazing vantage point to see things from on a date, or out with friends. Or perhaps even an impromptu photo shoot. 😁

Grilled chicken sandwich is amazing. The fries look like the original potato chips.

Had a great meal tonight on the rooftop and the ambiance was lovely. But what took the cake was the prompt service provided by Derrel.

Delicious, delicious, delicious 😋 my wife and I only had drinks along with the beignets, but we loved it all

Raining and cold that day, but for the few minutes out there had a cool view. The purple lights is the WWll museum.

Very nice rooftop bar. The staff are friendly. Big fans outside to help with airflow in the summer.

Great place with a very friendly staff. It was a nice e place for a drink and relax. The beignet was off the hook!!!

Rosie's has a great view of the city. We had drinks and appetizers. Everything was delicious; the drinks were mixed well and food was perfect.

D

Loved the small plates (alligator po-babies, crab beignets, shrimp and grits), and the service was great. Fun views of the city and a nice breeze in the summer heat.

I went here with my colleagues and it was delicious. I had the Lomo Saltado, it was amazing. I also had the Creme Brule, so yummy. I tried the beignets as well and they were perfection. Overall 10/10.

Great view and relaxing atmosphere, stopped for a couple of drinks after spending the day at the museum. Didn't get food but got the riveter cocktail for two. Suggest giving it a good shake before pouring into your glasses, I didnt on the first and it was a bit watery. Still tasted excellent!

stunning view of the city! one of the only places to eat on a rooftop in nola so it was amazing

Rosie’s on the Roof is such a fun addition to the Higgins Hotel! The theming is unique and transports you back in time. Their menu offers drinks plus some bites! Indoor seating is nice if the weather isn’t good. Outdoor area is much bigger than I imagined with an incredible view of the city! Excited to visit again!

Nice view, friendly staff, good food and drink. Best beignets we've had all week. They were so fluffy and delicious! Edit: we came back again for more beignets and fancy whiskey and Alice in particular was awesome.

We decided to go here on our last night to see the views of the city. We are so glad we did it was amazing and very luxurious, it's inside the Higgins hotel and it's even amazing walking into reception. We had cocktails and watched the sunset

We were rooftop bar hopping so this place was the first on my list, we had a blast there and meet new people. The view is great and Lau I think this how our server’s name was 🧐 great , we didn’t try the food.

L
Lilliana Chavez

Been to other restaurants but no others top their service. Everyone is so nice and respectful. I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a beautiful sunset view, good drinks, and good food. This is a chill kind of vibe place so don’t expect to loud music and chaos.

T

Wow, this place did not disappoint. My wife and I were here on 5-28-2021and had several drinks and a few appetizers and a club sandwich. The staff was incredible, very friendly and helpful and were always right there when you were just at the point of needing another drink. The food was good and the atmosphere was amazing, view of the sunset was pretty cool! We will be back again!

Excellent restaurant with friendly staff and an awesome rooftop view to see the city. I’m always hesitant about hotel restaurants, but this restaurant’s chicken and bacon sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. Extremely crisp, fresh bacon, juicy chicken, melted cheese, and a really delightful aioli are all the ingredients to a good sandwich. The fries are crispy and hot. Definitely will come here again when I’m back.

J
Jesse Guidry

The best view of the city. And the best French fries!

R
Rachel Higgins

Beautiful view and plenty of space to spread out. They could accommodate a group of 10 without a reservation, and we were spaced out from other tables. Drinks were tasty, and the food was pretty good too. It’s on the pricier side, but that should be expected. The service wasn’t the best…we had to flag our server down and went to the bar separately when we couldn’t. Understandable in these spread-thin times but a bit annoying. Overall, would go back!

Based on other reviews, it does look like the menu has shrunk greatly. Other than our server not coming by frequently to take our order, filling up our waters, and giving us the check, it was good. Beignets and crab beignets were excellent. I was actually surprised, and had low expectations coming in, but they were really good. I will come again to get the biegnets if I stay at the Higgins again. That being said, I do think $20 for crab beignets is high though. I think $10 for 5 beignets is reasonable.

What a fun rooftopbar at The Higgins Hotel, across Magazine Street from the National WWII Museum. Rosie the Riverter theme. Good Happy Hour. Waitstaff was attentive. We had the crab stuff beignets and they were delicious. The deck has great ciews of the City

Beautiful bar and patio space. Servers were so sweet and accomodating. Wanted some patio space but none was available so the hostess had me sit at the bar and said she'd get me when a space opened up on the patio. For a time I thought she might have forgotten about me but sure enough she grabbed me a space right as fireworks were starting and you know, I just love that. Bartenders were also amazing and happy to talk about dishes they preferred and made me feel really confident in my choices. Why does this place have so few reviews?

C
Christina Arias

What a spectacular find! We went right on time to experience the sunset on the rooftop and it did not disappoint. Great views 360°. Drinks were very good and we shared a few appetizers. The crayfish beignets were so good. 🔥

K

I visited this establishment yesterday, and it was great! It’s located inside the Higgins Hotel. The workers were attentive and kind. The food was decent; it’s nothing I’d pay for again. The view was beautiful. No, you do not have to pay to go here or be a hotel guest; parking is minimal, so be prepared to pay to park & walk. What I found to be a plus is the women’s restroom has hygiene products, which I feel was so convenient & thoughtful of them. Thanks Fatma, you were truly one of the best bartenders ever!

Very good food. Buffalo wings were just right on. Spice and taste was great! The tacos were good as well.

C

The Ahi Tacos were the best of what we ordered. The crispy shrimp remoulade was very good, no real sauce to it but good. The crabmeat beignets were ok but very doughy, almost overwhelming. The atmosphere is very casual and the views are wonderful. Our drinks were very well balanced. Great stop for date night!!!

If you’re in New Orleans and want rooftop views paired with bold, Southern flavors, look no further than Rosie’s on the Roof at the Higgins Hotel! Let’s talk about the food: • 🌮 Cajun shrimp tacos – An explosion of flavor! Fresh, spicy, and packed with that NOLA kick. Easily one of the best bites of the day. • 🍗 Rosie’s chicken wings – Crispy, saucy, and cooked just right. The perfect balance of heat and flavor. • 🦞 Crawfish beignets – Golden on the outside, soft and savory on the inside—pure Louisiana soul in every bite. And the drinks? • 🍹 Piña colada – Smooth, creamy, and refreshing. A tropical escape in a glass—perfect for that rooftop vibe. Major shoutout to Juan, our waiter – 🙌 Friendly, professional, and made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re visiting or a local, Rosie’s on the Roof brings it all together: great food, great service, amazing rooftop views, and classic New Orleans charm. Highly recommend!

We kicked off our wedding weekend with a welcome party at Rosie’s on the Roof and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The view was even more stunning than I could have expected and all of our out-of-town guests were so impressed. We had a satellite bar and a section of the rooftop reserved for our party and it was so fun! The bartenders and staff were extremely warm, kind, and accommodating. When my feet were sore from wearing heels all evening, the staff went above and beyond and even got me some house slippers from the hotel downstairs! Truly outstanding service and I couldn’t recommend having your party or event here enough!

Last time we came to the WWII Museum this hotel/restaurant being built, it does not disappoint! The view from the rooftop is beautiful and although it was a bit chilly outside, they have space heaters on the patio. Our server did great with our large party and was very attentive. Some of the foods we enjoyed the most were the steamed chicken bao buns, wings, and the crab beignets. I tried a friend's shrimp and grits and honestly they were a bit more sweet than the savory you'd expect, but they were plated beautifully! Warning their online menu is different from their actual one, I'm not sure if it is an inside vs. patio seating issue but just keep it in mind when browsing. The cocktails were also delicious. I had an espresso martini, but I tried my friend's Trade Winds and it was delicious! If you are in the warehouse district area or just finishing up with the museum, this restaurant is a wonderful and beautiful place to see and eat!

Good vibes. Bartenders were cool, and funny. Drinks were on point!!! Reasonably priced for a rooftop bar. Table service was ok, could be more attentive, but otherwise great staff.

All I can say is wowwa weewa holy bleeding moly. What an experience. As I walked out of the elevator I was blinded by the beauty of this quaint little hotel bar. I walked through the doors and was greeted by the aroma of top quality Louisiana cuisine. Next, the staff. Unbelievable. James, Victoria and Aniel were the kindest, most welcoming staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering. Food and drinks came out quickly and the quality of taste matched the aroma. I also asked for an off menu cocktail to which the knowledgeable staff replicated to a tee. The scenery, the atmosphere, the music and the all round vibe were a 12/10. I’ll be coming back to NOLA from Texas just to stay in the Higgins and dine in this fine establishment one more time. Rosie’s on the roof - a credit to the Higgins hotel

J

Great place! Good cocktails and shareable food. Lots of tables and space to hang out. Juan was an awesome waiter. We’ll go back.

The restaurant is on the top floor of the Higgins Hotel. Great view facing West for a sunset dinner. Limited selection of food, but very good.

F

Stellar spot: delicious drinks, friendly staff, but no matter what - Victoria knows what's up. The queen of the bar: she knows what's going on, who's drinking what, she sees the customers that are looking for their server... A consummate bartender! Stop by and bring these ladies some chocolate, they deserve it :)

DIVINE! I had such a good time! Had a few cocktails and snacks while chilling out and resting tired feet after touring the AMAZING WWII Museum! I came up at 4:30 and stayed past 8:00 to get pictures of the fabulous sunset from the outdoor terrace. The only thing that took away from an otherwise perfect experience was a bunch of noisy unattended little rug rats running around, screeching like Banshees and disrupting adulat at a place kids should not even be allowed in! It's a wine and cocktail bar, not ChuckieCheeses! Ugh! I do not understand parents who so rudely disrupt a place and time for adult who do not want such obnoxious interrupting! It really is thoughtless and rude! I do wish the wait staff had told them no minors! I even moved from one end of the terrace to the other to get away from the bratty daycare and they followed me! It was so disrespectful! Next time: these people need to spend a few of the MANY $$$$$ they spent on a babysitter! The certainly splurged on the drinks and food so they could afford it and there were several families and generations. Someone could have babysat or afforded a babysitter! 😡😡😡

D

First rooftop bar and there’s amazing views of the city. Very peaceful place… The dessert beignets were probably the best I’ve ever had in Louisiana. They go good with an espresso martini😁

E

Ok I want this facing the river but the sunset was glorious. The crab balls/beignets were exquisite. The mini beignets were very good. They had a delicious fruit mocktail. Seating was comfy. The war museum turns on colored lights at night. Honestly it was glorious and we're going back tonight for wings, good. Our waiter, Deishan (spelling) was super helpful. Patiently described dishes and was basically adorable.

D

First impressions are everything and I was impressed with this place! We sat outside at first, but due to a little light rain we ended up sitting at the bar! The bartender was nice and made some great drinks. We ordered the barbecue wings and a burger which came with some unique cut French fries. It was Delicious! I would definitely come back.

Baby if you’re wondering about this place. STOP and just get here NOW!! Everything was good during this visit from the shrimp dumplings, to the shrimp tacos, the Tico Tico (drink) to the bread pudding. My food came out hot and GOODT yeah just that good I had to add a T 🤣. Our waiter was Rudolph and his service was TOP TIER …. Don’t walk Run because they’re going to start being packed once these reviews and a few TikTok’s take off. Oh the menu is reasonably priced and the place was tidy! Thanks to the staff for welcoming us in tonight!!

This was a great little spot hidden away on the rooftop of the hotel. I visited on a Sunday night, so it was quiet, but the bar has a nice outdoor patio with lovely views of the city. The staff were attentive and friendly, and drinks great value. The beignets were average, but a nice compliment to the drinks either way.

E

Cool spot! I was disappointed they were out of the draft beer I wanted. The beignets I had here were the best I had while in NOLA. The roof area was lackluster. The floor was a little rickety and the seating court use some love. The bar area was cool. My wife and I found ourselves wanting to go earlier but they didn't open until 4pm. On another night we made our way up there, just to find the close at 10pm. Short range of hours.

D

(5 stars reserved for exceptional service/product) This is an awesome rooftop bar. They have great drinks and the view is absolutely awesome of the WW2 Museum and downtown New Orleans. There is a small area that is indoors, but most is true rooftop outdoors. Bites were good, not great, but still worth it. It's a great place for Cocktails with friends/family or date night. The atmosphere definitely makes the place. Cocktails were good.

3.49. Tried Rosie's for Coolinary with some friends. The good: staff were great, cozy spot with a nice view of the New Orleans skyline, tasty mixed drinks. The not so good: The redfish didn't look or taste like redfish, main course had no seasoning whatsoever. Cobbler tasted like it included Sysco canned peaches and generic Winn-Dixie vanilla ice cream. Cafeteria food for 6x the price, the brainchild of some fledgling AI algorithm. Long waits for food, get drinks from the bar or you'll be waiting. Maybe they're just price gouging the Coolinary menu or are new to preparing the types of food they're serving for coolinary. Reviews for regular menu items were generally good. Don't give up on this place, but I would avoid coolinary specials and be prepared to wait.

F
Flood123789

For a 4 star hotel restaurant the food was only worth 2. I expected a lot better for the price. Restaurant is under renovation right now but the general lack of maintenance is showing

S
Sonia Sifuentes

It’s a shame the service was lackluster as we really did enjoy the bread pudding and beignets. But it took over 20 minutes for a server (older lady with a ponytail) to acknowledge us and another 5 mins to get waters. A runner had to follow up twice with us before the server came. Once the food was dropped off, we were never checked on again until we were about to walk to the bar to pay. The sight from the rooftop is nice, especially at night. However, be prepared for a long wait for mediocre service.

M
Mizani Ball

Went to this rooftop with some friends and I was somewhat underwhelmed. For it to be a rooftop bar/restaurant they did not factor in the Louisiana heat. All of the tables on the rooftop are directly in the sun and on a hot day, can make patrons feel uncomfortable. A suggestion for this restaurant would be to incorporate umbrellas and fans. The view is beautiful. The drinks are a bit pricey. I got a Tequila & Sprite for $15. They may have happy hour menus too. I would probably give this rooftop another chance but I will come on a cooler day.

C
Celeste Bowes

Went up to check out the view and the bar on a weeknight after early dinner elsewhere. The view was great but the service was not. The drinks are way overpriced---$25 for a normal draught beer and well weak cocktail . I loved the space and the view but don't think I'd return.....too overpriced for what you get and there are many other options in town.

J
Jamal Rhone

If you're hungry don't order the red beans and rice meal. $14 for a small tuna fish can worth of food. $4 to add sausage that as small as the tiny straws they put in your drink. This is by far the most expensive meal I paid for in city with the best food.

J
James B

Bad execution of a good idea. Whoever was the building architect missed out on a good idea. This rooftop bar faces the wrong direction and blocks a view of the bridge, river and city. Food is mediocre to bad. Boudin balls are horrible. Beignets are acceptable but they don’t serve coffee!?!

E
Earnest Carter

Upon entering the hotel I was wowed at the flawless and overly spacious interior. I was greeted by before getting on to the elevators by the front desk attendants and advised my intended destination would be on the 9th floor. Upon reaching Rosie's i was greeted by a male server in which I advised was there for the Yelp Elite Event and that I was about 25 minutes early than my 7pm reservation set. He stated that was more than fine and stated he would go on and sit me at a table. I noticed as I was being sat there was another seever that was running around as if she was a little busy and it was obvious that she pressing to keep up. Went outside and was placed and at table and he stated either he or a server by name of Ashley would be back by to take care of me. After left which a few seconds I was greeted by Marc and we had a pleasant conversation about the amazing views offered and the hotel rooms. Afterwards I snapped a few photos and videos for reviews and I must say my expectations in terms of rooftops in downtown New Orleans had been as it had pretty descent views which was quite pleasant. After hanging around my table for about another 15 to 20 minutes 2 other tables of fellow Yelp Elite where sat at 2 tables next to me and were brought waters upon being greeted and orders placed. I then still hung around for a few additional moments and while sitting checking emails enjoying the scene a female server stop by and asked if I needed anything and I replied that I had not even been greeted nor a order taken, in which she asked was I with Yelp and of course I replied, Yes. She asked my name and then went inside and about 3 minutes I looked up and saw her casually chatting and walking around so I politely excused myself which was a almost 30 minutes after my initial arrival. Nice location, great scenery however, possibly may need some more attentive servers

After waiting for half hour finally got our drinks and hamburger. Ordered it well done and it was raw. Sent it back. The gentleman next to us got his hamburger after us. He sent it back for being raw. He got his second burger. We are still sitting here waiting on ours. It has now been over an hour.

H
Hunter Duplesis

The worst, I mean absolute worst, awful, slow, mouthy, bad attitude service ever. Never in my life have I seen people in the service/bartending industry so foul and sour. 0/10 do not recommend and I will never come back.
