Pubbelly Sushi – Miami Beach 🍣🍢🍚 We had dinner at Pubbelly Sushi on Monday and were lucky enough to catch their happy hour, which runs Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The happy hour applies to both cocktails and food: cocktails are $5 each, rolls are $12 per portion, and a selection of dishes is available for $5 per portion. We were pleasantly surprised—not only by the prices, but also by the outstanding quality of the food. We tried the Japanese fried chicken, edamame, lobster rolls, spicy tuna rolls, tartare rolls with poached egg, and fried shrimp rolls. Every dish was delicious and beautifully executed. A true culinary experience from start to finish. To top it off, we enjoyed excellent cocktails made with sake, lychee, and passion fruit. The service was friendly and efficient, with a relaxed pub-style atmosphere and great music that really set the mood. Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-quality sushi with a fun, vibrant vibe in Miami Beach.☺️

It’s always great food when we come here. Even before we moved here in 2021 we were coming to Pubbelly. Once we moved here we have frequented multiple locations (mainly Brickell City Center) and each have been amazing. The service is always on par and the food always fresh. One just opened by my mom in WPB so I’m very excited to try that location as well. It’s also good to mention that I have had delivery from them and that doesn’t disappoint either. They package everything thoughtfully. Always a win here!

I’ve had Pubbelly Sushi a few times now, and it has always been great food. I think it has got to be my favorite place to go for sushi so far. Also, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all rolls are 12 dollars each! I recommend coming on a Tuesday or Wednesday because the food is pretty pricey, but I wouldn’t say it is outrageously priced. They have a lot of cool fusion dishes as well, like the Wagyu Tartare Roll, which has such an amazing taste and a unique sauce that has a poached egg inside. There’s also the Acibechado Lobster Roll which was probably my favorite roll there, and of course, the Butter Krab Roll which is so good when dipped in that butter sauce. The service was also good. The food came out quickly which is the most important to me. Overall, would recommend coming to this place on a Tuesday or Wednesday night for a quick bite to eat.

Highly recommend the butter krab roll!! This was seriously so flavorful and filling 😍 I also got the Rockshrimp Tempura which was a perfect balance of spicy and sweet. (they have $12 rolls Tues/Wed) pThe place was quiet, my server Chad was phenomenal, and the outdoor seating was just so cute. Glad this was my first sushi place visiting Miami!

I recently visited Pubelly, and I have to say the food was absolutely amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, and the presentation was top-notch. However, there were a few language barriers with some of the staff, as they didn’t speak much English. That did make communication a bit tricky at times. Despite that, the service was still friendly, and the overall experience was wonderful. I had a great time and would definitely return for the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend it!

We were in Miami as a layover for our flight home. No matter the city my sister and I are we; we sniff out a new sushi experience. While in the airport, I did a search for sushi nearby and Pubbelly was a 25 minute Uber ride. After looking at the pics online, it was settled! The atmosphere was great; we sat outside and caught a nice breeze while enjoying our starter appetizers. Sofia was an amazing waitress and gave excellent recommendations. From beginning to end, we had the following: Pork Belly dumplings, Lobster Donuts, Bigeye Tuna Roll, and finished off with the Short Rib Cabonarra. Needless to say.. there was lil room left for dessert. I'm a chef and let me just say, Pubbelly is highly recommended!! Thank me later🤤 10/10

Wow, this place has AMAZING food! I had the Miami Spice lunch menu which was four courses. First I had a Shrimp Ceviche Taquito that was really delicious, delicate flavors inside a light and crunchy shell, but it wasn't a traditional corn taco shell. Next I had a Hamachi G Roll which was also very good... I dipped in soy for only a moment and it really brought out the garlic and chili flavors. Then Salmon Poke Bowl arrived and I was in heaven! Instead of rice they used Quinoa and it was a great fusion of flavors. Finally I had the Coconut Ice Cream on a graham cracker crumble with a hint of brown sugar which was simply perfect. I really look forward to having dinner there soon.

Great service as always. Easy location for locals that work in the area. Wish there was a lunch special for locals that work in the area. We would be back more often. We ordered four different plates and everything was superb and tasty. The dessert with sesame ice cream is one to share. Very memorable.

Pubbelly Sushi is amazing! The vibes were really good, but not better than our food! My husband and I shared a few of their entrees as well as their rolls. I only snagged a couple of pictures. The rolls were tasty except for the fact that they were sitting in a sauce that seemed like vinegar or something similar. Without that, they would have been perfect. We also tried their sushi tacos which were pretty delish. And I had a watermelon sangria that was totally refreshing. It’s a great stop to add to your Miami trip.

This place has been a neighborhood best for awhile now. If you don't like sushi, there's other things on the menu. The service is fantastic.

Great venue, good music, good cocktails and not over priced. It is a bar / restaurant that really managed to combine them both. The menu is really interesting with different Asian styles - it's not all sushi. Service was attentive without being pushy. The desserts are great (I don't normally like the desserts in Japanese or Chinese restaurants) and the music had indy rock style - Davis Bowie, The Doors, Queen, The lemon heads. The mixture of indy rock music, different Asian foods, bar and restaurant was unusual and worked really well. It's our of the tourist area so well worth a visit

The food was great! However, we didn't realize the plates were small and to share, and unfortunately pretty expensive. The beer was also great! Aside from the price, we enjoyed eating here. It had a great atmosphere, and the staff were really kind and attentive.

One of my favorite places in town! Their contemporary asian cuisine have owned several James Beard Foundation Awards! I strongly recommend trying the lobster butter roll and the octopus robatas! They are amazing! Most of the plates are meant to be shared.

This is a great place for food and we always come here when we travel to Miami. The staff was great and friendly as well. The butter crab roll was a big hit, and the pork belly gyoza was amazing (we ordered a second serving after we tried it). I recommend stopping by.

Hot damn. Yes and amen. Service was unbelievably attentive, made superior recommendations. Got in through open table and was advised not to visit the brickell location. Great advice is an understatement. The quality of ingredients, individual treatment of proteins and powerful flavors won us over. Can't wait to visit again.

Wow. Can't say enough great things about this place. EVERYTHING on the menu was delicious. We did the sampler option which gives you 9 small plates + a dessert so that you can try the most popular items from each section of the menu. Their buns & wontons/dumplings were one of a kind. The service was excellent also! Can't wait to go back.

The first time I dined here 3 years ago I always remembered how amazing the sushi was here at Pubbelly, and today I was finally able to return and It was as good as I remembered! Only thing was the food was a bit too spicy for me personally but I still enjoyed everything but had to order 4 drinks to cool me off lol. Thank you Pubbelly for the experience!

Amazing food - some of the best sushi in Miami. Buttered crab, 2-tuna and the wagyu rolls are all absolutely fantastic. We tried a ton of the menu and the only thing that wasn't great was the miso soup, but even that was still OK. I also highly recommend their nigori sake cocktail, Milky Way. Plus, they don't include gratuity on the check like most places in Miami. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Florida; shout out to RayRock for recommending me this joint!

The sushi and drinks were delicious! I would definitely recommend We had the tunna pizza, the butter Krab roll, DJ roll and the baby zucchini. Everything was delicious. We did feel a bit rushed. The plates were taken away very quickly, but they were also very busy so I won't hold that against them.

Very good food. Nice twist on sushi. We ordered the butter crab roll (so good), the heat roll (so good), the white fish and foei gras nigiri (so good), the soft shell crab bao (so good) and the grilled octopus (so good). The sake cocktail is good too- we had the pomegranate sake with ginger *chef kiss* Place has a nice atmosphere and service is top notch.

Here for a work trip and decided to take a lunch place. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The pork belly dumplings melted in my mouth. Beautiful outdoor seating! Great service! Definitely recommend!

By and large, outstanding! The buns were fantastic and the udon with kimchi bolognese was so incredibly rich and flavorful! A couple of off notes on the signature dumplings, however. One was way too salty and another was wan. Will definitely come back!

The service in this place is incredible and ppl here are kind. After long day at work I went to pick up my order and as soon as I stepped out the door the wind blew hard enough to rip the take out bag and the food was on the floor. Mario rushed out and helped me, picked up the food and take it back and made everything from scratch without extra cost. I couldn’t be grateful enough

The staff was very attentive and kind. The food came out in random spurts but it was nice for a change. Overall very good experience though.

The ambiance is beautiful its low lighting and very retro but at the same has a fancy feel to it. Its Great for groups if you dont mind being a little caged in or a nice date. The place itself is not that big but they have long tables and a patio. The staff was sweet and attentive. I recommend.

Pubbelly does it right! A lovely sidewalk/patio seating with stringed lights that set the mood, absolutely delicious sushi. I highly recommend “The Heat Roll” and the Miso French Onion Soup, a delicious twist on the traditional FOS. Go get you some Pubbelly!

Pubbelly is a really trendy restaurant. A lively atmosphere and a friendly service staff. The menu features lots of fusion dishes and most work really well. Lots of really savory dishes and besides one of the dishes, the baby shittake, which was too salty, the rest of the dishes are great. Order several small plates for everyone to share! The softshell crab is definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our experience here. We sat outside and the vibe was really nice. The drinks and the Big Eye Tuna Roll were excellent. Everything else was good but not quite as good as I expected. We took advantage of their great happy hour specials. I would definitely like to return when I'm in Miami and try some more items. The best was the corn soup agnolotti dumpling, veal brains, and prime rib tartar. I didn't like the mofongo ramen or the spicy beef dumpling. I would try the Ruben dumpling next and the Uni pasta. A great small vibe they play football so good to eat different food and watch the game. The bartender Chad is dope too so you can go a lone and vibe or sit at a table and have date night. The drinks are pricy though. I also got the mason jar dessert that one was unique but pretty good Japanese dessert but wouldn't put it in my must haves of this restaurant. Now they also allow you to be the sushi menu from next door too so to me i would rather sit at the noodle side than the sushi side. I would go to brickle city center for pubbelly sushi instead of the beach.

The service was great and the food was creative, but I did expect the sashimi to be a little better presented and tasting. It does seem the price is for the creativity and not necessarily the quality. However, the Heat Roll and Miso Bread Pudding are definitely exceptional.

This is a pretty trendy and happening restaurant. Cool vibe and really good Happy Hour menu daily from 4-6 pm! Service can be a bit slow and somewhat delayed times, but pretty decent overall. I tried out all of their HH cocktail drinks: Lucky Cat, Teasy Bear, and Milky Way. They are all sake-based and have lychee pearls in them which makes it fun to drink. Out of all of them, the Teasy Bear was my favorite. Milky Way was my least favorite because of the creamy milk taste that I wasn't too fond of. The Lucky Cat was good too, but a bit difficult to get all of the pearls from the cat-shaped cup. Super cute though! For food, I got the Spicy Edamame, Japanese Fried Chicken, Navarro Salmon Roll, and Big Eye Tuna Roll. The Spicy Edamame was a nice change with the addition of heat. Not overwhelming and just the right amount. Much more interesting than your traditional edamame with sea salt. The Japanese Fried Chicken was pretty tasty. It came with some furikake (seaweed flakes) on top and served with a thick and savory peanut sauce. The sauce really made it for me! The Navarro Salmon Roll was my fave! Really tasty covered with a sweet eel sauce and topped crunchy fried onions. Super delish and will get this again! The Big Eye Tuna Roll was good too, but on the heavier side. It had crispy fried rice rectangles with fresh mashed tuna on top. Indulgent with good texture. Overall, this place is a great one to visit if you're in town! Great quality food with lots of flavor and pizazz!!

Yummy fusion style sushi at this Purdy Avenue outlet. Ingredients were fresh and menu is quite diverse. The rolls were great, loved the corn on the cob with truffle cream. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere of the place is relaxed and fun.

This place has gone so downhill. The salad was wet and awful had to be sent back. The tuna pizza was tiny and bland. Really disappointing I would never come back.

The food was very tasty and well presented. My partner and I arrived a bit late as they were closing but they still served us. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes!

Being 100% real, if you’re not from Miami, and you’ve had sushi in LA/NYC/abroad, you’ll think Pubbelly sushi is akin to store bought sushi available at Publix .. or Whole Foods.. and that’s being generous The service was great. Challenge is the general quality of fish for most of the fast casual sushi spots in Miami. It’s pretty crap If I was to go back, I’d stick to ordering the edamame and the miso black cod. The rolls etc.. not so much :/

Service left a little to be desired. I'm not a needy customer, so the fact that I had to ask where my partner's food was and our appetizer came out after the entrées was a little disappointing. But the food was delicious and the patio atmosphere was beautiful.

Since when do you have to ask for pickled ginger or wasabi for you sushi. Also don't put an automatic tip on a party of 3 without verbally telling the guests and then when we pay the check you ask for more????

The dessert was good, and the fish was decent, but the sushi rice was stale. $13 for two pieces of nigiri with stale rice can only be described as disappointing.

Not up to the standard that we expected for a place like this. The food was not up to the price or the area standards. I get that is suppose to be fusion food but the krab roll is just plain to simple with no taste (apart from the butter), the “orgasm” plate is a completely rip off. It’s barely any tuna and just the straws. The only ok roll is the tartare and it has lots of problems. Overall a experience that I do not recommend. I fell bad for the stuff (that is very nice) that has to keep smiling serving this food

Had lunch, miso soup not edible at all, fried Korean style chicken was extremely salty, kimchi fried rice tasting bitter, not good at all... rolls (including the crab and lobster ones that are on posters at the restaurant windows) were worse than in the most cheap all you can eat chinese buffets... Salad was a huge whole (not cut) quarter of a lettuce head with some other veg and tasteless dressing that disappeared as soon as I poured it over... would be much more tasty if it was just a classic ginger dressing... Paid huge amount and left everything, were not able to eat it at all... Total scam and robbery...

Hostess was really nice. Food was good. A bit above Miami average. The waiter was awesome. We tried Araña roll, sashimi yellowtail, anticucho, ribs, quinoa crunch roll, and nigiris. Super chill seating outside - great for covid times.

Definitely not coming back to this place. So disappointing. Maybe we had high expectations and that was the problem. We decided to try one starter and two rolls. The starter was five thin slices of tuna, what they called “orgasm”, which definitely was not. The crab roll was correct but had nothing special, just crab and butter. The wagyu tartar roll was the best of our choice, but still disappointing (almost all the roll inside was cucumber). We were still hungry but we decided not to ask for more food, but a dessert. It was ok, some matcha ice cream with some coconut, but did not worth the 12$..

I got a drink here, Lucky Cat and it was tasteless. Do not recommend. The sushi tasted premade. The edamame was good and so was the onion miso soup. Would not return. Edit: So the paying process was complicated for no reason. We asked to split the check and the server made us manually split it. Just unnecessary. They comped the Lucky Cat though.

This place is overrated with offensively rude staff. My wife and I visited Pubbelly for dinner while vacationing. We had reservations, but upon arrival our table wasn’t ready yet - no big deal, we weren’t in a rush and went to the bar for a drink at the host’s suggestion. Before we were even planted on the barstool, we were approached by a waitress asking for our drink order. Apparently asking for a minute to look over the menu was the wrong move because we were ignored in the time that followed. Finally the manager came over and took our drink order. Before we were served the drinks, our table was ready so we got settled for the outdoor dining. Our waiter came over shortly thereafter and was so unwelcoming and crass. We had some questions, but feeling rushed and suspecting the waiter didn’t want to be bothered, we just placed an order for whatever caught our eye (2 rolls, an appetizer, and a dinner). Last second I ask the waiter what he recommends off the menu, and added that item as well. The food was served quickly and was visually appealing, but it was nothing to write home about. The sushi rolls were fine, but unremarkable, same sushi I get in NJ. The spare rib dinner was inedible - sauce was good but the ribs were so fatty I couldn’t get a bite. Unimpressed, we decide against dessert and my wife asks for the check. I’m not sure if they didn’t want us there, but our request for the bill finally prompted a quick response from service. Our bill was roughly $140, shown to me on a mobile check by the waiter. I asked to glance at it again, because he took it away without giving me the opportunity to review it. He obliges and stands there as I take out cash from my wallet. I give him $140, waiting a moment for him to go retrieve the dollar and change I was owed back. This guy literally stood there waiting for his tip, eavesdropping as I consulted with my wife about it. He overhears my wife say to give him $30, after she confirms with him that gratuity was not included. Even though the food and service wasn’t great, we always try to tip decent since we acknowledge this is the waiters livelihood. So, sensing this waiter won’t leave our table without his money in hand, I take out more cash and hand him $40, since I had no smaller bills. He proceeds to rudely say “change?” and so frustrated, I literally got up and walked away. this guy never said thank you, so intrusively hovered over my wife and I during a private conversation and then acted greedily and rude. Avoid this place at all cost, not worth the hype

The woman who works there is terrible. The other day I went to pick up an order I placed and saw her speaking badly to a guy who was picking up another. I didn't see his name, but it was Saturday afternoon. She was very rude. That's not good for customers.

I thought the presentation was good. It is Sushi with a twist, they had sauces and an creative take. I, however, found the rolls large mostly consist of rice. The rice was mushy - over saturated with water. The sushi was over powered by sauces to taste the fish. The lobster roll with grilled salmon didn’t seem to be good combination. The octopus ceviche was very disappointing, no creativity pretty basic with octopus and onions with a side of oversized avocado rolls. These are just a few accounts of my experience. Sushi is in the name of the restaurant and they missed the mark. It was way over priced for the quality, or lack there of.

The dog was on a leash but it was loose enough for the dog to come near my table. I thought the manager would suggest them to sit outside but instead he encouraged the entitled couple by giving the dog water. I was so disgusted especially seeing the dog hair go in the air. No it wasn’t a service dog or had a vest.

Me and my husband ordered there drinks and sushi for dinner… The price is very high, but the quality is like food court in the mall! When we received our order and tried the fish, we almost Throw up because the fish was spoiled and very bad fish flavour and smell. Unfortunately, we had to leave the table without even risking eating it to avoid food poisoning. I don’t know how place like this can do business in the middle of Miami! Very disappointing!!!

The food didn’t taste fresh, dishes didn’t come out in any logical or appropriate order, and the whole service flow felt like a mess. They were clearly extremely understaffed, which affected the entire experience. I do want to recognize our server, Paolo, who genuinely did the best he could under the circumstances and was kind throughout — the issues were not his fault. That said, none of the food really stood out in a positive way, and based on this visit, I probably wouldn’t go back.
