Loved Tasty Beach Cafe ☀️🍽️ Such a great spot with amazing vibes and seriously good food. We ordered the Tuna Avocado Toast 🥑, Avocado Pesto Melt 🧀, Blueberry Pancakes 🫐🥞, and the Green Machine smoothie 🥬🍍—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and each dish felt filling without being heavy. Perfect for brunch or a relaxed breakfast by the beach 🌊 Shoutout to Veronica, our waitress—she was so kind, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, which made the experience even better 💛 One tip: if you’re hoping to sit down, definitely try to come early because it gets busy fast and there’s usually a waitlist. Totally worth it though! Incredible food, great energy, and I’d 100% recommend 👏✨

My wife and I last came here on our previous trip to Miami, and we were not disappointed. So, we had to come back again when we came into town. Once again, everything was amazing. Their food is still some of the best we've had in Miami, so much so that we are here 3 times during our stay. We mostly took things to go, but we did eat in once, and the service was top notch. Though they are a bit on the pricey side, their portion sizes are still quite large, so any one item off their menu is more than enough for a single person. Their selection of drinks and pastries are phenomenal as well. We can't get anything like it back home. I would recommend anyone visiting Miami to come here at least once. You will not be disappointed!

This is a delicious breakfast or lunch spot. It’s quite small though and it gets really busy so prepare to wait a for a table! The “chicken” avocado tacos are delicious and it’s a must order item, ask for the extra crunch in the top. It’s worth it! The pancakes are great tool

This is a must eat place. Any time I'm in Florida i go multiple times as the menu has amazing options. There's no more indoor dining but they have a great spot under a canopy in their lot. Food is insane

Although there was a short wait , it was well worth it. The food came out fast and was delicious. The service was phenomenal and friendly. The added parking lot is a big plus. Highly recommended as a kosher destination in the Miami Beach area.

Great food. The waitress was beautiful and extremely nice. Food came out without a wait. The cafe has a very calming vibe. Highly recommended. Their Nutella Hot Chocolate is truly amazing! If you're going to stay, get here early because the tables fill up quickly!

10/10 recommend! It was the first place I found near my hotel and I made sure it was the last place I ate before I left! The service was wonderful-The second time I had Daniel as my server and he was very attentive and on top of things and Aleta and Patrick as the chefs. I didn’t catch the names the first day, but the picture is from the first time I went- it’s their Loaded Baked Potatoes and it’s nothing like I’ve ever had before! It was my favorite dish out of my whole trip and I can’t wait for my next visit! Thank you for being a highlight of my vacation!

This is one of the best kosher places to eat on Miami Beach and it will leave your amazed. They have the best Almond milk latte and try their harvest wrap. It will not disappoint you. Incredible services which is not always like Miami Beach service. The food is consistent be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or catering. Dining in or taking out for delivery. The staff is always kind and honest. It can be a little bit of a rush in the morning so call ahead and make sure they have room.

2nd times in 3 years , great food , but they still not allowing anyone inside the store , I would just add a little smile to your faces and it would be perfect ,

Cozy place to have a health food. The smoothies are really good. My avocado toast with egg is a great vegetarian option. I would prefer if the coffee was served in a porcelain or glass cup instead of paper.

Recently discovering Tasty Beach Cafe has been a highlight since moving to Miami. It's not just a breakfast spot; it's a culinary revelation. Each pastry is a work of art, rich in flavor and beautifully crafted. But it's not just the pastries that dazzle; the entire menu is ablaze with incredible choices. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and bursts with freshness and taste. Whether it's a lazy weekend brunch or a quick weekday bite, Tasty Beach Cafe never fails to impress. In a city known for its vibrant food scene, Tasty Beach Cafe stands out as the best breakfast haven in Miami. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Best tuna avocado quesadilla ever! Didn’t even care we had to sit in a parking lot table to eat it. The baguette egg and cheese was very yummy too. Only rough part was that these two items and 2 coffees were $50

Delicious food, a ton of options from eggs and salads to pizzas and pastas, and friendly helpful staff. There usually isn't any wait to sit, service is fast and the cozy atmosphere is a delight. I personally recommend the Ultimate Egg Sandwich with a side of Breakfast Potatoes.

We traveled to Miami for a family vacation a few days ago and we love trying new/different places to eat. We loved this little cafe so much that we ate here two days in a row. The iced coffee was delicious, as well as the food. I enjoyed a breakfast wrap with spinach, caramelized onions, cheese, egg and avocado one morning, and an omelet another. My 9 year old enjoyed a huge, fresh cinnamon roll one day and Nutella pancakes the next with Martinelli's apple juice. The service and food were excellent. If and when we go back to Miami, this will definitely be our breakfast go-to spot!

Tasties in Miami Beach is undeniably a destination for delectable food and commendable service. The flavors that grace their dishes are nothing short of delicious, and the dedication of the staff to ensure a pleasant dining experience is noteworthy. However, one area that deserves attention is their capacity to accommodate their customer base. While the food and service are exceptional, the restaurant's capacity falls short in meeting the demands of its enthusiastic clientele. The popularity of Tasties is evident in the bustling crowds it attracts, and unfortunately, this success seems to outpace their current capacity. The result is longer waiting times and sometimes a slightly crowded atmosphere, detracting from the otherwise enjoyable dining experience. It's evident that their popularity speaks volumes about the quality of their offerings, but the limited space can somewhat dampen the overall experience, especially during peak hours. In essence, while Tasties impresses with its delicious fare and attentive service, it could greatly enhance its patrons' experience by expanding its capacity to accommodate the ever-growing demand. For those willing to endure a potential wait, the food undoubtedly remains a palate-pleasing delight.

This place is possibly the best milchigs kosher cafe in Miami. Everything is amazing. Get the avocado sandwiches and avocado toast. The tuna melt is pretty good too. Notice: they no longer have zac the baker bread but it’s still great

This is my favorite spot on the beach! They have something for all your cravings - sweet or savory! I have my key staples that keep me going back but the specials menu is always a fun surprise. Carmel Apple pie pancakes and Fruity peebles milk shakes how can you not indulge?!?? I always leave there happy! Good food and positive vibes & smiles from the staff is the best way to start for me to start my day

TBC is a Must, have to go place to stop at when you're in Miami Beach and it's surrounding areas for whatever reason. Food, service, and location are all on point and even waiting for a table to become available is not a drama filled experience. I adore the fact that the owners and staff know EXACTLY who their regulars are and what they like to order down to the how they like their coffee. That screams volumes to me that they not only want to have a successful lucrative business but that they genuinely care for and like their customers and in turn those customers repeatedly come back. Bravo. The quality of food and presentation of each dish that came out of their kitchen was not only pleasing to the eyes but also tasted just as good. Here's the rundown of what four lovely ladies and I indulged in: Fruity pebbles pancake: unassumingly delicious and addictive Nutella & fresh strawberries pancake topped with vanilla ice cream in a hard chocolate shell drizzled in chocolate sauce: dessert for breakfast? Ummm yes please! S'mores French toast: this was so light yet decadent! Nutella stuffed chocolate muffin: chocolate with hazelnut chocolate... Need I say anything more? Cheese Danish: great balance of savory and sweet Cherry cheese danish: every bite had cherry and cheese in it S'mores croissant: to die for! Spinach quiche: a very generous portion will very well balanced seasoning and texture Truffled scrambled egg & mozzarella toast: soft scramble with a nice hint of truffle and served in Zak the baker bread! GF avocado, eggs and veggies wrap: just insanely delicious Loaded breakfast potatoes: loved that they used tons of paprika in this dish! Strawberry and feta salad: fresh ingredients and vibrant colors! Avocado triple decker with cheese, tomatoes, grilled onions and yum yum sauce on brioche: that yum yum sauce just makes this sandwich come alive! Pink dragon fruit smoothies: If you order nothing from what I gorged on above, you must order, at the very least, 2 of these! You'll thank me later :) Absolutely nothing fell short in taste, texture, flavor, seasoning or presentation. Service was a well fine tuned machine and turns out almost all of the staff have been with the restaurant since its inception 15 years ago. Because Miami can be such a transient town, not many establishments can say that about their staff. Please do yourself and your family, if you have one, a huge favor and visit Tasty Beach Cafe during your next visit to South Beach!

We are always prepared to wait for this resaurant. It is well worth it! Friendly service and very "tasty" food. I cannot mention a specific item to recommend as I would recommend everything. So if you are the impatient type, don't bother coming. Otherwise, enjoy the delicacies.

We absolutely loved our experience at The Tasty Beach brunch spot! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Every dish was prepared to perfection with lots of flavor. There was a great variety of food - from Peanut Butter White Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cookies to Breakfast Burritos to French Toast to Fruity Pebbles Pancakes - so there was something for everyone. We had a great crowd of people attending, so it was a lot of fun to be around. I would highly recommend this brunch spot! The personal service was top-notch, and the food was five-star quality. I will definitely be back again soon!

Amazing eatery. Polite and friendly staff, delicious food, and fast service. Place was packed but we only waited 3 minutes for a table to open up and our food was ready quickly. Avocado toast was amazing and covered in inch thick avocado spread, Chinese chicken wrap is a delicious mix of ingredients and has the perfect e to compliment all flavors, and the loaded potato is simply to die for. I love love love this restaurant! First of all, the food is amazing. I specifically recommend the southwestern salad and the loaded nachos, but truly everything is delicious. The portions are generous and the salads are especially fresh. Their homemade salsa is incredible. The service is outstanding! RJ, Zadde and Zigge especially go above and beyond to meet each and every one of my needs (and I am pretty picky LOL). I always feel like a valued Customer. They always have smiles on their faces, they know me by my name, and they always do their best to accommodate any substitutions which I may request. Often I order my food to be delivered and Alex is so kind and always delivers the food At The exact time I request. He always calls me to let me know the food has arrived and he is super professional very kind. I probably go to this restaurant at least five times a week because their food and service is so fantastic. Whenever we have a small gathering of friends for a birthday party or celebration, or if I want to have a private enjoyable leisurely brunch with a friend I always always always choose to go to tasti. They never let me down! I really can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. Jeremy the owner has done an amazing job of combining excellent service and delicious food and hiring the right people to run the restaurant in the most friendly way possible. I don’t often write reviews, but in this case I must give Tasti five stars and give them the best review possible because they truly deserve it! You’re only problem might be choosing what to order off their large menu. They have so many delicious choices so you may have to make several trips to try and enjoy all of their offerings. Tasti, I love you!!!!

Best breakfast/lunch spot in Miami. Heads up most people don't realize this place is kosher and vegetarian. The owner is insanely creative. This place is for you especially if you have a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied. Fresh pastries daily and the best tuna salad on the east coast.

Besides being exquisite, they were very supportive since I didn't speak English. They were very patient with me, and someone from the kitchen even came out to understand me a little better. They prepared the best breakfast in the world for me. 5 stars. I will definitely be back when I'm back in Miami.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. I had the nova lox toasted sandwich. Excellent! The toasted multi-grain bread gave the sandwich an awesome overall flavor. It was large enough for breakfast and lunch! Service was very friendly and welcoming. I hope to return one day.

Food was insanely good. I got a spinach wrap with eggs, hash browns, cheese and veggie sausage. My family also got pizza and this Danish with oreos in the middle and nutela and white chocolate on it was one of the best pastries I've ever had. Overall food was amazing. Service was okay. Could have been a little nicer. Place is small so make sure you have time to grav a table and can't go with too large of a crowd.

Explored Miami during a business conference in October. Stopped into this little spot for breakfast. It was fairly expensive. We ordered an omelet, a smoothie, avocado toast and a pastry for about $78 after tax and tip. 18% Gratuity is automatically added. Though expensive, we found that to be fairly consistent in South Beach. They had plenty of gluten free options on the menu. The wait staff was also fun to talk to.

This is a solid breakfast place in mid beach which has a huge menu with a lot of tasty options. I’ve been here many times but this time I got the Nutella stuffed French toast which came with bananas. It was very good. That said the standout option at this place is the avocado pesto melt, it’s amazing. Just be careful when paying as they include a tip (18% I think)

Plus + The food is 10 out of 10. It's super delicious and always fresh. There are many healthy choices in the menu. It's hard to find a place like this. Minus - In my opinion this restaurant is a little pricey. e.g. You will have to pay $17-20 just for a salad or $13 for a sandwich. The place is very tiny. There is no much room. So inside it's usually loud and crowded. Even outside basically the tables are on the street sidewalk, a busy road and gas station right in front of you.

C
Caren Goldenberg

Great breakfast if you don't mind a crowd. The wraps are fresh and hot, great coffee drinks, and even the low fat muffins are delicious. You just have to eat with other people's elbows poking you. Worth it.

E
Eric S

They have a large extensive breakfast and munch menu. This is a amazing kosher dairy restaurant. No meat products at all. They come up with the most interesting items. From the Miami heat wrap / crazy large pancakes. The salads are top notch. Triple decker grilled cheese. So many smoothie options. Many bakery items as well. Expect a wait. The prices are on the high side. But it’s kosher and in Miami Beach.

Tasty beach cafe is wonderful customer service 10/10 the person who they have answering the phone is very friendly an very polite makes u feel very welcome when on the phone servers can be a little rude at times especially the female waitress she needs to be terminated on the other hand the gentle man that’s answering the phone now is a very nice person on the phone 10/10 customer service

So, I only go here when I am dining with others who keep Kosher. I have been several times. It's by far the best kosher option for high-quality food. Everything is well done. The reason this is not a 4 versus a 3 is for a few reasons. This place is milk only (no meat), so keep that in mind. 1. The coffee is not very good, and needs work. 2. The service can be hit or miss, I have had very slow service 2 out of 3 times It's always busy, but normally you can be seated quickly.

We were looking for great american pancakes and that is exactly what we got, would recommend sharing the portion though. As europeans we're not used to the tipping system in America and we noticed too late that 18% tip is already included in the price, we added another 20% tip on top of that, but service was very friendly so we hope they are very happy

The food was fresh, and the coffee great. My only problem was it’s incredibly expensive. But the service was good and everyone liked what they got, although the menu is a little hipster/touristy.

Love the food here! Staff is great as well and a great menu. My only issue is the placement of the restrooms. Its inside the kitchen, literally. I totally understand that the lay out and size of the premises might not have left a choice in the matter. But since Im in the business. I would recommend for the kitchen (which you go through to get to the John) to be kept as clean as possible. Definitely love it here otherwise!

Y

Tasty Beach Cafe has great drinks and food. Everything has lot of attention to detail and one can taste the love and attention put into every bite. The only down side is the price which will burn a whole through your wallet. I guess outside seating is another in the summer months when AC is a must.

T
Tehila Mantel

There was a long line and had to wait outside until they called us in for an available table. Other than that the service was good. The drinks we got were good and some kind of avocado dish was too. I felt that the pancakes were a little bland though. I never eat pancakes with syrup but this time i felt it was necessary.

The food is absolutely fantastic - 5 stars all day long. BUT They outgrew the space a very long time ago, and the staff are overwhelmed. Savvy people place orders by phone and pickup, but this only serves to make customers in store wait longer; and overwhelms the wait staff and the kitchen staff. You can be in an empty store and have 20 phone orders ready before yours, so expect a wait. Having had a run in on one of the busier days, I found the owner particularly unpleasant and unsympathetic. I’ll keep coming back because the food is THAT good, but the business needed to scale up a long time ago already.

It's a cute corner cafe in Miami beach surrounded by Jewish culture. Ziggy the server was excellent but my only qualm was with the food. I ordered the ultimate brioche which was very bland and something you'd get from any generic breakfast place while my wife bought loaded potatoes which again was bland and under salted. I'm hoping to go back and try something new, maybe it was just a bad day or that they have better dishes.

Food was great. But we were there soon before closing and although we ordered first, an employee stuffed her pockets with the last of the muffins we ordered. We didn't even realize until we had left and found our bag with muffins we hadn't requested.

We ordered a Greek yoghurt, green smoothie and a Ziggy burger (veggie). Taste was good and 4 stars worthy price in consideration. Three stars because the place was so noisy, and I couldn't even hear myself think. They should work on the acoustics.

Food is fabulous but the manager is an absolute creep. Hope he leaves as he is a disservice to this place that has the best breakfast/lunch food in Florida.

Mid Food + Bad service. We arrived at 11:40AM on a Thursday morning, and waited 15 minutes for a table. Once seated we waited around 30 minutes for our pancakes, and drinks to arrive. After we finished feasting, we waited 40 minutes for the waitress to bring our bill. Once the bill arrived they incorrectly added several items to our bill that we didn't order. It took 15 minutes to change this, and then another 30 minutes to receive the next bill. After we received the correct bill it took another 10 minutes to process the payments. To conclude, we arrived at 11:40 expecting a scrumptious meal, but left at 1:20 with our stomachs rumbling for another meal. Overall, Mid. Please save your money and time and go elsewhere.

Dropped from A five star to a three star , and not due to service or food which is both excellent ,however due to sitting outside and in middle of my meal was sprayed dirt from An exposed awning which is rotting due to a sudden wind. The restaurant claimed its workers on the roof and it’s a holiday weekend as well ,as upon further inspection failed to see anyone on the roof and if there was and they allowed people to sit outside under the canopy without notification just makes them Responsible and unprofessional. Make sure not to sit outside unless you don’t mind having dirt dropped on your food.

Rude waitress with a bad attitude. She did not offer water and responded with attitude when we asked for extra napkins. She tried to trick us into leaving a bigger tip since she did not show us the receipt—she just took the card and processed the charge. We don’t understand why someone like her has worked at this place for so many years.

We went on our second day in Miami and bought some takeaway pastries and coffee which were delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly then. However went back today and there was one waiter who was rude and surly and determined we were not going to get a table for 3. There was a table for 2 where we could have placed an extra chair for one of us and he gave it to people who came after me even though the lady had not booked. I then asked for the next table that would be free since one family told me they were finishing their meal in a few minutes. He decided that I would not get that table and would have to wait at least 45 minutes ( there was no mention of this before)at which time we left. However delicious this place may be the staff need training and should be advised to be much more courteous.

Food was good but there were not many gluten free options at all. Only wrap was available in the gluten free option

Great service, friendly and polite. They have a nice outside seating that is covered from the sun. They don’t take Contractless pay (aka Apple Pay) so I ordered the “Bacon Egg and Cheese Toast and Americano with cream’” on Grubhub. The order came out quicker than expected which was great. The meal was huge, you can easily share it with someone. The multigrain bread was the only best part. The chipotle aioli was okay, slight hint of chipotle, but mostly tasted mayo. The eggs was fine but made dense and compact with the melted cheese mixed in. I think if they quartered an omelette or put the cheese on top, it would’ve been better to allow the eggs to be fluffy. The bread at the bottom was soggy because of the moisture of the eggs and cheese. The soy bacon …. Ummmm, it wasn’t for me and it didn’t taste like bacon or have the crispy texture. The coffee was okay.

The service is terrible it’s a nice little place but they have so much on their menu that they can’t keep up. If I was them I would cut the menu in half and actually offer good dishes. I’d rather have a choice of four or five amazing dishes than twenty mediocre ones. Also they lie on their menu and say that things are freshly squeezed when they aren’t.

The wait outside was confusing. We didn't know the process or where to stand. The menu was confusing. We had no idea this place did not serve real meat until we had waited 45 min to be seated. So disappointing. People who arrived after us were served before us. Would not visit again.

I rarely write reviews but I felt the need to here. The food was very good and definitely reccomend eating there. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because the service was terrible. We had a very rude waiter. He said he has been working there for 15 years which surprised me because he continually made comments to my friends and I about being difficult because my friend didn't want spinach in his wrap. He was passive aggressive and made the whole experience uncomfortable. If I go back, I will ask for a different waiter. In addition, it was very expensive. Overall experience was poor, and the food was good.

Kid and I came in for a smoothie and a coffee, both were good but a bit pricey which is regular for the area. Service was just ok but not cool that tip was included at 18% for 2 drinks and waiter got quite defensive and then plainly rude when asked why, and never got the option to put my own percentage tip. Not recommended, not coming back.

Did my order at the counter and was told I couldn’t sit down that it was for folks getting serviced. Wish I had known. Food was good

Really disgusted by the manager. We registered for a table and were waiting, and some kids came along and went up to him and he sat them. I asked him politely why he did that and he went in and said he would check it (he was the one who sat them). First he denied it and then after I pressed him he said we sit locals first. I asked him how he knew we were not locals. I asked him for his name and he disappeared inside the store. You should know the policy at this place before you go.

Worse service I’ve ever experienced in my life. The lady who works there was very rude multiple times to my husband. We came on Christmas Day with our 3 kids. She 1st rudely told my husband “Next time you come with a baby in a stroller you won’t get seated” I had no words to say as it was the 1st time we’ve been told that and in a rude way. My husband was already uncomfortable after that and lost his appetite. She came to take our order with a face as if she was bothered by our presence. Says “what do you want?” I tell her I’m sharing the giant pancake with my 2 yr old and she said “ok, that’s it?” Then goes on to my daughter and when she gets to my husband he says “no thank you, I’m not eating” she said “are you serious? So you’re not eating!?” He says “No. I’m ok” that’s when she hit us with a hard one and says “When someone walks in I’m giving them your seat because you’re not eating” I said “WOW! Hold on” I walk over to a manager and I said “that lady there has been very rude to me and my family. We will not be eating here” I grabbed my kids and told my husband “Lets go!” I came on a Christmas Day to enjoy a nice meal with my family and instead our day went really wrong. We left starving and my 2 year old crying because he really wanted pancakes! It really is a bummer because we were looking forward to trying the food here. THAT LADY NEEDS TO GO!! So that customers can eat happily with their families.

I and 2 friends ate there on 10/22/23. The food was very good, however, I was charged 2 tips on top of my bill of $98 plus tax. I was handed a receipt for $122.50 including $17.64 tip. When I looked at my bank account, I was charged $147. I emailed and called the cafe several times and I was assured they would take care of it. They have not. They never credited me the extra $24.50 tip they erroneously charged me. I will never return there.

I would leave less than 1 star but one thing actually did taste good. Tuna melt was tasty but everything ELSE was a massive disappointment. Service is horrible, didn’t let me bring my baby inside with her carriage. They offered me a booster seat which is for older children, and I wasn’t going to leave her outside. Smoothie was bland. Grilled cheese we sent back, had no taste. Chocolate chip cookie was Nothing special. Didn’t even offer us water, we had to ask for everything, they didn’t look at us at all, had to call them 4 times to get the check. And it was $55 for one main, 2 drinks and a cookie. Not worth it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. WOULD NEVER GO BACK.

Horrible customer service. I get a call from the restaurant to cancel my whole order because one of of the two items was unavailable. If I cancel the order, I end up getting charged by Uber eats because the order was already on the way... The restaurant should have learned how to use the app and make the changes on their end and ask me if I would like to replace item with something else or refund me (like with past experience with other restaurants) When I explained that to the restaurant, they hung up the phone on me. Then when I called the restaurant to speak to the manager, the manager didn't want to hear (after me trying to explain how it's done) and hung up as well. Worst customer service especially as I took time to teach them how to do it on their end. They just didn't want to learn or care that I would be getting charged for the missing items.

Food was great, service was terrible. The waiter over there had no respect for us and just throw our food at us. He took an hour to bring out one of our items and didn't even give us an update. We waited in the parking lot for an hour and we had no idea where he was. When he finally brought out the item he wrapped it to go and put it in a plastic bag and threw it at us again with the worst look on his face. He also brought the receipt with him even though I never asked for it and waited next to our table for me to sign so he can take it. And after all this an automatic 20% tip was added to the bill. I literally felt I was kicked out of this place. Bad service trumps good food. Never coming back here again.

The worst restaurants ever been to, Service is bad. And if you dare to complain the owner screams at you that you messed up your own order and nothing is his fault even I'm allergic to blueberries and my family know not to order it for me. He said that this was my wife's mistake. Customer is never right there. DO NOT GO THERE. Not professional at all. They just take advantage of Jewish people because they have kosher food. Bad business. We really didn’t feel comfortable being there at all. And will never go back thair again.

We were looking forward to eating here and came away very disappointed. To start, the service was extremely unpleasant, it would be nice if the staff would see these reviews and think to improve their attitude and treatment. They acted as if they were doing you a favor selling you food. The coffee was really subpar and pastries were standard and tasted like a pre-packaged pastry. Two coffees and two pastries, bill was $34 and change. Coffee would be better at dunkin donuts and pastries the same, and you would have better service and you would pay a 3rd of the price.

Be careful! This coffee shop charges mandatory Gratuity 18% on the bill. Then they asked more tips on Credit Card machines.

I placed an order through Uber Eats and the restaurant canceled it just five minutes later without any explanation. They didn’t even notify me that an item was out of stock or give me the option to change it. Very unprofessional and disappointing. If this is how they handle orders, I wouldn’t recommend relying on them for delivery.

Tasty Beach Cafe in Miami. This was hands down one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We were visiting from out of town with our three young children and made an honest mistake by ordering at the to-go counter while my wife and kids waited for a table. This is a self-seat restaurant, and when a table opened up, we went to sit down with my family. That’s when one of the servers stopped me and said, “You can’t sit here.” When I asked why, he responded bluntly that because I ordered to go, I “didn’t pay a tip.” This was said rudely and in front of my wife and kids. What made this even more setting is that I did tip 20% at the counter when I ordered (as is my typical practice even when I order food to go, since the staff deserves this for packing up my food). The servers continued with attitude. When the manager came over, I expected the situation to be handled professionally. Instead of acknowledging that this was a simple, honest mistake—especially for someone visiting from out of town who didn’t see the sign—the manager doubled down, insisting that we ordered at the “wrong counter,” and placing the blame entirely on me. There was no attempt to de-escalate, no understanding, and no apology—just justification for the staff’s behavior. The two waiters continued to be rude and confrontational. To avoid further conflict, I ended up tipping EACH waiter an additional 20% in cash, bringing the total tip to 60%, purely to appease them. As if the service weren’t bad enough, the food was mediocre at best—bland, forgettable, and absolutely not worth the experience. A small breakfast restaurant should be welcoming, especially to families and visitors. Instead, we were treated with hostility, publicly shamed over tipping despite being more than generous, and made to feel unwelcome from start to finish. Worst experience ever. I will never be back here, and I strongly recommend that anyone—especially families or out-of-towners—take their business elsewhere.
