No food had but sure it would be first class like all the staff serving drinks. This place has pop dance rooms, house, Cuban, trance and hip hop. A large outside area to chill. Really recommend a visit to this club was a bright spot in South Beach to dance and have fun! It gets bust midnight onwards. Security staff are friendly and approachable.

Anusha

Fun vibe! 5 different areas with different music (including 80s and reggaeton) and it felt like we kept exploring in a maze of fun! Each bar was well decorated, we had a blast and glad we came here instead of typical Miami clubs. No touristy BS - you will get free ice water, no cover

T
Tia Felix

Met the most beautiful people and the staff working the bars were so helpful. Loved this experience !

I came in here after spending 2 nights at LIV. As my initiation to Miami nightlife, this is the spot. There are 7 bars within the complex and tonight we were ushered upstairs where George took care of us. He was attentive, energetic, and welcoming. I’ll make sure to stop here again why I return back to Miami.

R
Roxy Frias

I loved the atmosphere, there are options for dancing, I felt very comfortable in the place, and I will definitely go back on my next visit to Miami.

J
Jordan Upchurch

Charlie was our Happy Hour bartender and he was very friendly! Great 2-4-1 Happy Hour! Also great music! The complex is huge and has multiple bars that all open after 10:30pm

La Donnais probably the best hostess I’ve come across here in Miami! She’s personable and makes you feel so welcomed! Love this place and love her!

P
Paola Garcia

Yesterday I was at the club; the atmosphere, the music, and the service were 10/10. But unfortunately, I lost my purse. Today I went back, and they had kept it safe with all my things. Thank you so much!!!

Everyone here was so nice and welcoming. Loved how they have different bars on each floor and room. Massive building you can get lost in! Had a blast.

I want to take this moment to say that the attendant Charles is wonderful, I've never seen a guy like him, friendly, kind and lively, he cheered up the whole crowd. My first time here at this bar, but I've never seen a bartender be so friendly and affectionate with everyone. He is lively, he changed the songs or put on several sound playlists here, in short, he played with everyone, super irresponsible all the time, I saw that he was paying attention to everyone, being alone here, he put water in everyone's glass here, he served everyone the world of drinks that needed drinks. Anyway, he is very friendly and very loving. I liked this guy so much that I wanted to marry him because it's really worth it I'm going back to the club because he alone made this club the best in Miami for me

Dylan was the best server ive ever had

The owner was extremely professional, I thank him for his present experience with me and honestly professionalism toward the vise. Please visit for an extremely last light experience. The best club, especially Diego as your bar tender ✨ second floor for the full experience in Latin ❤️❤️

Great bar! Such a great vibe and decent priced drinks (especially for South Beach). Search for the bartender Matty. He’s very entertaining!

Stumbled upon this place last night pretty fun vibe lots of different types of music, different rooms and levels. There is a little outdoor space as well. In the back. Definitely a good time on a Saturday night. It gets busy after midnight.

J

When I say Susie at back bar is where you need to hit up first. Her service and personality is one that is memorable and pleasant. Thank you for a great night 🫶🏽

Never a cover, Always a groove says it all! Great venue with five different rooms/bars playing different genres of music, catering to all types. Drinks are a bit pricey but within SoBe’s price range. Ask for Charlie at the front bar!

Had such a great time on Friday that we went back the next night! Definitely crowded after midnight and can be snug quarters so definitely suggest keeping a close eye on your personal belongings. Line moved quickly and there is no cover. Not the place to get super cheap drinks, but treat staff nice and they’ll be kind/friendly and take care of you with speedy service. Bathroom attendant and security presence in multiple areas helpful to keep things in order and moving in the tight facilities. Great to have options for different music- our faves ended up being the Latin and edm. Bartender was also a big favorite- super nice and always remembered our order of a sex on the beach for my friend a tequila shot for me. At the end of the night we even asked if he was working again Saturday since we had such a great time we were already planning to go back the next day. When we spotted him the following night he remembered our orders still and greeted us with a smile and handshake. Ended up having to leave early that night but would definitely come back in the future! Maybe even a third night in a row if my friend can hack it

Went there a couple of times during our vacation. Nice place with many different atmosphere. Mario (upstair bar with 80’s pop music) is one of the best barman we’ve ever seen ! He’s so quick and super nice !!

This has to be one of the best gay bars I’ve ever gone to. 7 different bars all with their own music and vibe all under one roof! Drinks were as expected for a gay bar (aka strong) and security made everything feel safe. If you’re in the area and want to have a great time definitely visit Twist! You will not regret it.

E

Mark is an amazing bartender. Very courteous and prepared great cocktails. He is stationed at the main entrance bar.

J
James Higginbotham

I didn’t have high expectations because I’m not a bar type of person, but OMG!!! I had the best time. Music was fire and the club had many levels with multiple bars. I would highly recommend going.

R
Ricky Hadaway

This place felt like such a hidden gem. Little did we know lol Walking up it’s hard to tell what this place is. Windows tinted and etc. upon walking in, it gives you a dive bar feel. Music selection is amazing and they play music videos along with it. Wonderful environment! There are multiple levels to this establishment. All with completely different vibes! Ask your bartender when they all open and how to access them. The drinks….they could be stronger. Especially for the price. That’s our one draw back. But, it’s Miami lol plan ahead!

D

Bryan gave us 100% the best service my group has ever received! He was so attending and amazing! 15/10

E

One of the most incredible places I've visited! 5 different levels with different music, less than 5 minutes in the line, no cover and drinks at accessible price. Loved the experience and definitely coming back.

I’ve been coming to Twist for years, and it remains one of my favorite spots in South Beach. Their happy hour is fantastic; great drinks, a welcoming crowd, and bartenders who make you feel right at home. Charlie, Carlton, and Susie are absolute pros behind the bar, always friendly and attentive.

I love this place. Me and my wife sometimes go just to get a new perspective on the community. The icecream is so good!!!

J

My favorite bartenders are upstairs, on the VIP side. I haven't had very good service at the other bars but these guys are outstanding. A staple of the beach community, Twist provides a much-needed venue, 7 days a week, we can just be yourself and dance. I've met so many wonderful and interesting characters and I look forward to returning in the future. I am a CIS woman, a huge ally, many family and friends in the LGBT community. We always have a blast when we go 🎶👏🏽💃🏽🪩

I came down a 2 weeks ago to check out Twist out. I think it was a Tuesday night and the bar was pretty slow. I ended up in the back bar with Bartender Jason. He told me that with the weather and the season not being the busy that sometimes nights become like that and just stick around longer because it will get busier. I stayed around like he mentioned and the bar got busier. Only room to be busy was his and the crowd loved his energy and music. Will come back to visit Twist again to see if during the busy time of year! Hopefully get to see Jason the same way!

They have different rooms with different themes, music was on point. People were there for fun. Fun spot to hit after 12 am bartenders were very nice and attentive

Sunny and Swiss, thank you for making us feel like real locals! Every time we return, you make our experience unforgettable! Best place in Miami if you REALLY want to dance and have fun without the fake impressions I’ll catch the real ones inside and my order is always prosecco😉🥂✨ P.S: thank you to everyone that helped my husband understand 1,2,3,4 the latin way💃🏻

An absolute must-visit if you're visiting Miami! Twist isn’t just a bar—it’s a South Beach landmark of LGBTQ+ history, culture, and community. The energy here is electric, welcoming everyone from first-timers to long-time regulars. The staff? Friendly, fast, and never without a smile -- be sure to tip the amazing bartenders! The DJs and drag shows are legendary—full of talent, sass, and heart. Whether you're looking to dance, connect, or just soak in the atmosphere, Twist delivers every time! There’s a reason Twist is iconic -- it’s a safe space, a celebration, and a damn good time all rolled into one. 🌈✨

Coming from out of state, it was a nice place to hangout for a bit.Music videos, classic movies and music that changed throughout. Note the party doesn't start until midnight for you early sleepers lol. Bartenders were great!

Every time we’re in SOBE we make trips to Twist for drinks and fun. Several rooms to choose your music and crowd. Fun place!

C

Fun bar but the drinks are way overpriced!

A

Drinks were more affordable here than at other bars in South Beach. Three floors offer a variety of vibes. Don't wear flip flops.

J

It was our first time in Miami and we were looking for a night out, since we heard that Miami can be so much for when it comes to the night life. Walking in the atmosphere was so live, the music was blasting everywhere, and the bartender was ready to serve us. We wanted to start off with a quick little margarita, it wasn't too strong nor was it watered down like most clubs usually do nowadays; it was okay for the price that it was. We did love how they had multiple dance floors with each one having it's own taste. DO BE WARNED THAT THE SPACING IS LIMITED, IT CAN GET VERY PACKED, especially on the first floor where they have the Latin music going. Overall it was fun and we would definitely be coming back.

I first went to Twist back in 2012, and I still loved it in 2025—this time with my partner! Seven different music vibes across multiple dance floors, no cover charge, and a laid-back garden right in the heart of Miami. Thanks for all the good memories!

A

I recently visited Twist, a gay nightclub in Miami, with a friend. We were thrilled to find out there was no cover charge for entry, which was a great start! The club has a spacious layout with various areas, though each space is relatively small. There are two floors and an outdoor area where you can smoke, which was a nice touch. Each environment had a unique vibe, with different music playing in each bar area. One of the highlights of the night was a comedy drag show, which was fantastic and added a lot of fun to the experience. The atmosphere was lively, and we enjoyed the drinks we had. It wasn’t too crowded when we visited on a Sunday night, which made for a comfortable experience. Overall, it was a great night out, and I would recommend Twist to anyone looking for a fun and diverse nightlife experience in Miami!

J
Jean-Benoît Vallières

One of the few bar I really enjoyed in the last years. I went there during the week and there was still a decent amount of people. So many rooms with different style of music. Yeah the drinks are a bit expensive, bit there's no cover charge. The thing I really enjoy less was the smoking everywhere. That should only be allowed outside the club.

j
julio silva

I saw a customer beeing kicked out of the place because he was pushed by a security staff member and when he reacted to being pushed, not aggressively btw, the security guard called other guards lying to them and telling them he was the one pushed violently by the customer. During the night, that same security guard pushed me too but I didn't react and nothing happened. It's sad because the bartenders are very friendly and most of the security guards are friendly too. Hopefully they will review how to better handle these situations. Other than that, great music and ambiance overall.

F
Freddy Fredo

kind staff. even though I wasn’t let in because I didn’t have an ID on me (and you wouldn’t be let in either), it wasn’t like “ID UPFRONT. NOW. NO ID? LEAVE!” like in other places. they spoke politely and that left a good impression. will definitely return here in 4 years when I’m 21.

It's good that Shakira is in the city but with a few songs of hers at night it's fine, not all the repertoire and share it, I also think they should either change DJs in the Latin area, or pay her for a basic course, or maybe raise the pay per hour so that she is motivated to make better and more varied mixes...

My first night in Miami i headed straight to Twist. Regardless of what people say, I had a really nice time here. Good music, fun crowd and the drinks are really strong, so drink slowly! The same night I must have dropped my wallet (I think) that had my ID and credit cards inside. To my surprise, a security guard came up to me and asked me "Are you Mr. XXX"? . When I told him yes, he proceeded to return my wallet to me and everything was there. There were no unauthorized charges, so I'm happy about that. However, I spoke to other patrons who told my that their phones were stolen the night before. Be careful as there are people in the club who go around, talk to you, dance with you, and put their hands all over you pretending they are interested in you. Before you know it, they grab your phone from your pocket and disappear. So if you do plan on coming here keep an eye open. Be safe and vigilant you are guaranteed a fun time. I went a few times after and everything was good.

A
Anouar Adum

The place is fun, been here plenty of times and just keep coming for the poor selection Miami has. Patience is a virtue here if you want to get a drink (especially on the weekends), Some wait staffs are friendly, others feel entitled to "do the favor to serve you", in that case, just go to another bar at the club and tip the friendlyest waiter. Just dont expect to feel great the next morning after drinking here. WARNING: always keep your phones, wallets, cash in front pockets, if you dont you WILL get pickpocketed, it has happened to me and at least 10 people i know.

J
Jeffrey

Good part of this place is good music and no cover to get in. But they make up for it with the 900% markup (literally) on a single can of Red Bull. Realize a few extra bucks for a can but $10 and over at Twist……..Little extreme I’d say— greed at its finest. Perhaps eliminate way overabundance of security inside standing around staring at people dancing or drinking. Let’s face it , a gay disco isn’t that violent crowd in nature ; so way overkill to have so many Security Tshirt members roaming around staring at clientele like we are a plague. We all believe in safety and understand some drunks cause problems from time to time but suggestion to cost cut and eliminate 50% of the security staff who seem like they don’t even want to be at work to begin with with overzealous judgement attitude parental-like figures judging harmless customers dancing to Lady Gaga. I’m in a gay dance club, shouldn’t have to feel like a county jail watching my every movement.

Francisco Mejia

H
Henry Blanco

Get high before get there. Drinks are really pricy and low quality. Highly recommend to look for other clubs gay friendly like Mangos with highest quality shows and drinks for less or same price. This club do not vibe with Miami beach. Azucar is smaller and more fun. The picture attach $26.72 is for two beers and $34 for two cocktails.

R
Ryan Surmonte

Twist is a very nice gay club! My only issue I had was we were buying many drinks and at the end of the night the bar tender would not give a cup of water. Said we could only pay for a bottle. I’m sorry but the amount I spent on drinks they should just give water for free. Come on. No bueno

D
David Tapia

Twist is somewhat of a legend in South Beach, but lately, it's becoming overpriced. A single beer costs $13 (including tips), while the same beer they bought it just $1. I understand that Twist offers a service, but the reality is that the venue isn't well-maintained. They haven't taken care of the building even after purchasing it. You can see cables running along the ceiling everywhere, and the DJ booth looks like a cave for rats. The place is not being maintained at all, and after all of this they want to charge prices like a five-star club.

J
Jason

I keep on hearing about this short guy that worked in the outside bar but I never see him! They said that he played the best music and made sure all the guests felt the same and welcomed!! If you let him leave bring him back because people talk about him a lot! Bars need people like that. I’ve walked into your venue and security is cold, I’ve seen them rip up paper identification (temporary papers when new one is being processed) and other issues. The bartenders that I’ve seen only care about money in the wallets and don’t pay attention to the people that want drinks or even to ask a simple question. I would come back if things would change in the future but I’ll take my money and friends to Nathan’s down the street or even Palace (which is more pricier but better staff)

A
Adam Phoon

Love the club, shame they charge $30 for a drink. I would probably spend way more money if they charged resonable prices. Sticking to pre drinks next time. Response: Then we were over charged. I paid $60 for a vodka and lemonade for me and my friend, in the bar downstairs, the one that is standalone outside.

Y
Ya

If they play dancing queen one more time!!!! Otherwise a cute place but they need to hire actual DJs who won’t recycle the same song every 30 mins

D
Days Rodz

I had fun here with an acquaintance but I was disturbed at the fact that when I was outside in the patio, a security told me I couldn't smoke my cigar yet people around me were smoking cigarettes 😑 I even pointed it out! Lol make it make sense! Was it because I was a woman? Idk but I'll never go back now!

F

Good music but they didn’t let me in bc i had a bag….stupid

I was very excited to visit Twist while in town, as it’s often talked about as a must-see LGBT nightclub. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype, especially compared to other LGBT clubs I’ve visited across the country. The music was good and kept the energy going, but the overall atmosphere felt lacking. The club lighting was surprisingly underwhelming—mostly old-style, wedding DJ–type lights rather than the dynamic, immersive lighting you’d expect from a popular nightclub. This made the space feel dated and less exciting. Drink prices were another major downside. They were extremely overpriced and wildly inconsistent depending on the bartender. At one bar, we ordered 3 shots that were served in tiny disposable shot glasses and somehow totaled over $45. Later, at a different bar, we paid the same amount but received much more generous pours in a glass. That kind of inconsistency is frustrating, especially at those prices. To make matters worse, a very small bottle of water cost $6. Mario deserves a shoutout as he was the best bartender of all of the ones we visited. The layout also didn’t offer many options if you wanted to step away from the noise—there was almost nowhere quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting, except for outside or a hallway. While we still managed to have a good time overall, the experience didn’t feel worth the money. Twist wasn’t terrible, but it fell short of expectations and doesn’t stand out when compared to other LGBT nightlife spots around the country.

Z
Zack Schnyder

Wayyyy overpriced. A beer is $12.50 without tip. You can buy a 12 pack for that price. Upstairs and patio was closed when i went… the only good areas of that whole bar. Do better.

M
Madelyn Lopez

If you want to be treated horribly, this is the place to go to. Last night the white security woman with short hair refused to let me in because she said my ID was fake. I have been there many times before and can assure you my ID is real and I am of age. When i asked to see the manager she refused to let me see him and acted very hostile and rude pushing me away and telling me I need to leave. I read other reviews now stating this has happened before to other people with the same security lady and that she even questioned their sexuality. I am a gay woman but even if I was straight the bar is not exclusive to just gays! We could have verified my ID was real but she refused to let me speak to a manager. I waited outside to speak to the manager and they accused me of harassment and then banned me. Which is fine i would never want to come back there anyway ! There’s so many good clubs in Miami don’t even waste your time. The entire staff is rude and entitled.

C
Chris Sanchez

Walked in didn’t even get a chance to order a drink and security told me I had to leave and they wouldn’t tell me why. very rude. I’ve never had something like this happened to me before.

C
Caroline Corbett

the manager here- the person checking IDs at front was extremely rude. They denied my partner entry because they had bubbles on their ID and when we were asked to show proof of an old ID we did with screenshot- which they asked for, it was apparently not legible when it was very clear. You’re telling me you’re gonna accept a phone screen shot but not an actual state ID?? They argued with us when I had one simple question and in return they said “don’t be a karen at least wait till you’re older” when I asked to speak to a manager because the person checking IDs was being extremely difficult and rude. Don’t go here. This ID is and was completely valid and has worked literally every other place including airports and many bars, if they care that much about some little bubbles they need to get an ID scanner or something.

H
Honey Gori

Sorry for this when Your security see you are brown they are try to racism with you I live in south beach and own a bar in Alton you will get at least 10 more review until you realize I’m not I spend a lot of money in the club but this time I will keep posting reviews until owner understands

S
Sarah Glasgow

My friend was initially allowed in with an urban outfitters shopping bag. He then went outside to vape and wasn’t allowed back in as he may have a ‘knife or gun’. The doormen judged us as we are white and British and we were made to feel as though we would be causing trouble because of this however in our country we don’t even have access to guns… violence is not within our culture. They had a scanner but refused to check the bags and said if he had have left the bag inside when coming out to vape it wouldn’t have been a problem. We had drinks inside that we hadn’t finished.

J
Jacob Simon

Completely moronic bouncer rejected our IDs. We were all in our mid 20s here for our best friends bachelorette party, a group of mostly gay men. Even showed a passport photo. Ready to drop a bag. Got told to “Go to a straight bar” and that our IDs were fake (once again; in our mid 20s). Had been here before and thought it was amazing fun but what an insane thing to happen.

J
Joel Corrales

Attention everyone: We need to address a serious issue regarding security at this establishment. It's clear that there may be internal involvement in the thefts occurring here, particularly with items like cell phones. On average, 17 items are reported stolen per month—a significantly higher number compared to other nightclubs in the area, which average about 5 thefts in the same period. This is unacceptable. When you're out enjoying your time with friends and family, you shouldn't have to worry about your belongings being stolen. It's time to reconsider supporting this venue with your hard-earned money and valuable items. Each stolen item not only costs you financially but also compromises your enjoyment and peace of mind. If you've experienced theft here, I urge you to share your story in a review, detailing how it happened and what actions management took—or failed to take—in response. I was assaulted a year ago at this establishment by a security guard. If you’re a young female please do not go here! You are not safe. A year ago my siblings and I went to twist after going on a cruise. My sister and I once in the club both had to use the restroom (it is a gender neutral bathroom with a male security guard present) we noticed how busy it was and just both went into the same stall not even thinking, I proceeded to use the bathroom when all of a sudden a man kicks open the stall door and grabs my arm so hard it left bruises and drags me out into the middle of the bathroom as I’m still peeing and my pants are down; I was fully exposed and the worst things were running through my head of what could happen. Luckily my older brother stepped in and realized he was a security guard, he then proceeded to kick us out while physically pushing us. We made a police report after leaving but the police did not end up doing anything. I do understand that going into the same stall is not ok however if he had even kicked open that door and looked for a second he would have seen my sister standing facing the other way because she doesn’t want to see that and me literally just peeing; if that security guard had even yelled and gave us a warning we would have been happy to separate stalls but instead this security guard chose violence to solve an issue. Please train your staff twist!! I’ve read the other reviews as well and I’m not shocked, this establishment has no right to call itself a safe space for the lgbt community. Attached photo is of the bruises about a week after the incident. Please be safe here

Came down for a wedding and bought a souvenir cup! Showed the security that the cup was empty since it says no outside drinks or food allowed. The security guard said it doesn't matter that the cup is empty and they won't watch it but I can HIDE it across the street and hopefully it doesn't get taken!! Thanks for RUINING my final night here!!!

I had an awful experience at this bar. First of all, the place is filthy—sticky floors, dirty walls and ventilation outlets looks like they haven’t been cleaned in decades. The staff made things even worse. The bartenders were rude and clearly only cared about getting a big tip. When I didn’t tip as much as they expected, their attitude became noticeably hostile. To top it off, the security guards were extremely aggressive and acted like complete jerks. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better, cleaner bars with staff that actually treats customers with respect. Avoid this place if you can.

The rumors are true… been to this bar multiple times during my vacations to Miami over the past few months and last night was the night when a phone was stolen - my friend’s iPhone. It’s a true shame given the fact that I highly enjoyed this bar. If you plan to visit Twist, make sure you watch out for pickpocketers; and if it does happen to you, make sure you report it to the police. This club needs to be held accountable for what happens inside, especially with these many reports on google.

Came down to South Beach to check the gay bars out - it is Nov 6, 2024 and last call for Happy Hour was just called. A friend went to the joyous young bartender and ordered two G&T and was charged $14.00 for the two. I followed behind him and order 2 vodka and DC and 2 Bud Lights. My bill was $44.50. I questioned the bill and the bartender said I ordered 4 drinks (4x$7 = $28) not $44.50 but 2 drinks (2 x $7.00) = $14.00 and 2 beers, I would assume would be less, so I thought $25.00 would cover it. No, he said it was $44.50. I asked again and he turned to the cash and restyled them in and it came to $22.00. I still did not understand that total, but didn’t bother to ask. The music was too loud and I could hardly hear him, no he hear me. He either knew I was a tourist, or assumed I was a rich Asian who didn’t belong or read my bill. No apologies, no blink of the eye from the bartender…..never again, will i go to the Twist.

Had a blast there until I realized my phone was stolen. If your phone is lost/stolen at this location, make sure you file a police report. Tried calling the phone but, it was turned off. Tried to locate it on the “Find My” app and the phone’s last location was Twist. It stayed there for days before it went completely off the network. Update: My phone turned up in Hong Kong 18 days after it was stolen at twist.

This was the worst experience ever. My boyfriend and I went here to have a good time. We had one drink and we were drugged. His arm was broken and I had bruises all over me. Our friend Furkan brought us there and I’m sure it was planned. If you’re straight please be cautious.

We were REJECTED by a MORONIC and RUDE bouncer who is not qualified to be working this job. He claimed our IDs were fake, when they are not. When we requested that he take another look since they are in fact real, we were escorted off the premises. Horrible establishment. Don’t waste your time here. Very rude and unprofessional!!

I’ve been coming here for years, but tonight was unacceptable. I was here with my boyfriend, we had been there for maybe 10-15 minutes and we ran into a friend. We chatted with them for about a minute and my boyfriend started looking for his vape in his pockets when security came up and began to accuse him of being drunk and dozing off. We tried to explain that that was not the case, but the security were insisting that’s what was happening. We argued for a minute or two before they gave us a warning. After this, we decided to leave because it really killed the vibe. As we were leaving, we walked by the manager. I tried to give him feedback about what happened and the details about how we felt about our experience; saying how we felt that the security was very rude and accusatory. But he was quick to dismiss it and began to become defensive and saying that he knows that security guard, and that he would never be rude. I explained to him that if he doesn’t want our feedback, that’s fine. You guys do not have to grow and learn from what we experienced. But maybe try to avoid accusing us of lying about what we experienced and how we felt about it. Been coming here for a couple years now, and I’m extremely disappointed and angry to say the least.

The bartender told me I was an idiot: « think think think » ! Because the tip was included on the machine (no paper check) and he was asking me for another 18% on the 20% already added. Then he was saying: think think think! Will never come back… sad! So is it normal to ask for a tip when you already added 20% without asking me?

We were attempting to go here, me and my friend had shorts on and shirt and had a coupl drinks before coming. The people at door accused us of looking like we been drinking. Yet, when other men came in stumbling, they let them in with no problem and, while I hate playing race card, they were white. This place should not operate when they make guest feel small. This lgbtq place also, so yay for being positive and rightful to all. Neither of us were drunk and just felt small by the people at the door. Let’s close this place, and open something more positive for the community. I had just gone to the Palace where they were the friendlier, go there not here. Stay away from here and protest to close this place and fire the door men !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good atmosphere and music but the manager's poor communication with the customers takes away the desire to visit the place again, he needs to be more courteous and professional.

The place has good energy and potential, but it really needs a remodel. The layout feels like a maze, which makes it hard to enjoy the vibe. The music could use a big upgrade too—there aren’t any DJs, so the bartenders have to handle the playlists, and it doesn’t always work out. With some investment in sound, lighting, and a general update, this spot could be way better. Miami’s scene is pretty competitive, and this bar deserves to keep up.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My husband and I were on vacation, and he had been to this club before and enjoyed it. We tried to go last night—and it turned into one of the most frustrating and humiliating nights of our trip. I wore regular sandals with backs—not flip flops, not slides—just simple, clean sandals. The bouncer immediately denied me entry and told me I needed to wear either sneakers or heels “at least 2 inches high.” Mind you, this rule is NOT posted anywhere online. Their website simply says: “No flip flops (thin sole sandals).” So apparently, sandals are fine unless the sole isn’t thick enough? How does that even make sense? In our first interaction, the bouncer told me something about how “someone hurt their foot” and that’s why this new rule exists. I’m sorry, what? Someone else’s injury is now my problem as a guest? That’s not a dress code—that’s punishing every future customer based on a random incident. Completely unreasonable. To “explain” the rule, the bouncer kept waving around a laminated sheet of blurry shoe pictures like it was supposed to clarify something—but it didn’t. No labels, no descriptions, just vague images that were totally open to interpretation. I kept asking questions to understand what counted, and his answers were unclear, inconsistent, and honestly condescending. It wasn’t until my last attempt—after going back and forth multiple times—that he finally said the soles had to be at least 2 inches thick. That would’ve been helpful to know the first time, instead of acting like I was crazy for asking. I spent almost an hour running around trying to find anything that would work. I found a few options at a nearby tourist shop that was open late, including some heels that didn’t come in my size and were extremely uncomfortable—but I was desperate. I almost even spent $200 at the last place I could find open, but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth it. Another bouncer said a pair I found would be fine, but when I returned to check with the original guy, he told me I had been back and forth too many times and refused to let me in at all anymore because I was “acting crazy.” Crazy? No—I was trying to comply with your unposted, inconsistent, and apparently made-up dress code with no real help or empathy from staff. My husband even asked to speak to the manager, who stood there like a statue while the bouncer kept talking over us. Clearly, the bouncer was calling the shots, and the manager was just window dressing. This whole experience was embarrassing, stressful, and a complete waste of time—all over a pair of sandals that weren’t thick enough. If you’re going to have a policy like this, post it clearly, explain it properly, and apply it fairly. None of that happened here. Avoid this place. If you must go, maybe email ahead with a photo of your shoes and hope for approval—because apparently random injury anecdotes and vague photo charts are what determine your entry, not common sense or customer service.

Bartender mistreats females and lesbians. My girl and I went out during pride and he yelled at us for moving two bar stools close to each other. He seemed to be drunk.

I had a horrible experience at this nightclub. I was denied entry despite presenting a valid, federally issued ID. The bouncers claimed it “wasn’t acceptable,” yet let in others with similar IDs. It became painfully obvious that the issue wasn’t my ID — it was that I’m Asian. Discrimination like this is unacceptable in 2025. No one should have to experience this kind of blatant bias when trying to enjoy a night out. If you value diversity, fairness, and basic human decency, stay far away from this place. There are plenty of venues that actually respect their patrons.

I honestly never thought I’d have to write something like this — not about a gay bar. Not about a place that’s supposed to be a safe space for people like me. But Twist, you let me down in a way I won’t forget. I came to Twist thinking I was walking into community, safety, and acceptance. Instead, I was disrespected, targeted, and ultimately removed — all because a straight man came into our space, made false claims about me, and somehow I was the problem? Let me be clear: I’ve been through enough in my life. More than enough. I’ve survived trauma. I’ve fought to exist authentically. And I never thought that in 2025, I’d be writing a review like this because a queer space failed to protect me — not once, but TWICE in two nights. That straight man — who didn’t belong there to begin with — felt bold enough to target me, and Twist’s response? To believe him. To silence me. To push me out. I don’t know who’s running things over there, but this ain’t community. This ain’t pride. This is complicity. Do better. Protect your people. Because if a queer bar can’t show up for us, who the hell will? Disappointed, hurt, and not afraid to speak the truth.

My friend went here and was drugged by a bartender and had his phone stolen before being dumped in the middle of WYNWOOD!!! We were able to track his location but he has no physical recollection of anything. We didn’t think of relating it back to the club until we read all of the comments and him mentioning the last thing he does remember was buying a drink at the bar. This place is disgustingly terrible given what they are doing to people and what lack of responsibility the owner is taking. Surprised with all the negative reviews that this place is still in business. Wrote a police report but was told not much can be done since the business always rejects giving access to their camera footage. Avoid at all costs.

Staff is very abusive!! I called the police because they charged me for 3 drinks and my friend ordered bottle of water so they felt insulting so they called management and kicked us out like criminals and they reimbursed the money after we called the police. This is very an abusive that has been going on for too long abusing the ilegal employees. They need to do better and stop the power thing over customer since they need their money to survived.being abusive toward people won’t grant you legality in this country. Thank you .

Not sure who hired the Arabic guy checking IDs. I’m over 21 and I have an ID from New Hampshire. He goes “any other ID man” and I’m like “this is real you can show the cops”, “don’t care about cops it’s a 3rd party business blah blah”

This is NOT a safe bar. I went toTwist last weekend and was drugged by the bartender working the upstairs bar. I had only a couple of drinks and became incoherent, and ended up needing medical attention (I am not a lightweight). I don’t know what the intent was, but the situation could have been much worse. Be extremely careful if you choose to go. Watch your drinks being made, don’t leave them unattended, and stay close to your group.

Very disappointed in the bartenders. I ordered margaritas from a couple of them. I was met with a rude attitude. Very pretentious. It seemed like it was a bother to order a drink. I decided to leave and go to a bar next door. I will not recommend this club

Honestly, one of the only gay bars in Miami should not be so pro M-A-G-A. To play music by Nicky Minaj after what she said about gay people is vile. The owners of this place need to be put in their place and it’s a slap in the face. I was there last Wednesday, February 18th. Disgusting.

TOURIST TRAP! Bartenders are not hospitable. This is not a normal gay club. This is a mess. Nice architecture thou!
