Food has always been good. But why get rid of the biscuits? That was one thing that set you apart from all the other chicken places and some of the places that are not all chicken. Then customers only find this out when they are placing their order. Time to find another place for me.

Ever since the new management came in the chicken has been just barely finished cooking, rather than a nice crispy golden brown it is a soggy yellow flop. Also they changed how much sugar is in the sweet tea and now it tastes like any other sweet tea in this city.

Everytime I go in this store its hot as hell. The employees are nice and try but you can tell they are poorly managed. Food is OK sometimes. Manager is yelling at employees to do stuff while they are in the middle of doing something. She seems to be lack organizational and leadership skills.

Well, I must say, everything was just lovely when I walked in. The store was clean and neat. I was greeted kindly, and I thought to myself, now this is how businesses used to be run! But my goodness, I was not expecting what I saw next. Two young ladies—employees, mind you—were standing behind the register carrying on like they were in the privacy of their own home! Kissing, hugging, and just completely forgetting they were at work. I didn’t know where to look! It made me terribly uncomfortable. I’m all for young people being in love, but there is a time and place, and it certainly isn’t at the checkout counter in front of customers. I do hope management addresses this, because aside from that, it really was a wonderful visit.

We placed our order and were asked to pull up and wait, which we did. After waiting for quite a while with no update, we went inside—only to find out they had forgotten our order completely. To make it worse, we were told we’d have to wait again because they still needed to cook it. No apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake. Really disappointing experience.

I don't usually write reviews about restaurants, and I usually have good experiences at Chicken Express. However, this one experience that I recently had here is very concerning and worth mentioning about. On June 25, 2024, I ordered some chicken tenders, and some of them had a foul smell and taste (they were beginning to spoil). Please, smell the food before y'all sell it to your customers. Meats are very sensitive with this hot weather.

Terrible service. Check your order because the girl working the drive-thru didn’t seem to understand the difference between an order of 4 versus 7 tenders. The order was also missing fries. In an effort to correct the order, they once again messed up because evidently they can’t decipher the word regular on the receipt versus spicy. Fortunately, I got a refund and went to their competitor across the street.

I ordered #1 with biscuit, unsweet tea and extra side of fried okra. Got my order with a roll and could even chew the chicken it was so hard. I showed the lady at window and without saying a word she retrieved her manager. I handed everything back to them. Including my tea that tasted like stale water. Manager saw my food, heard my concerns, and remade my order. She handpicked some chicken strips and did the box over. Bread was still wrong, got wrong drink back but just decided I’d live with it and headed home. Well, the okra was too crispy, some were very burnt, and my gravy was disgusting. Watery and tasted like flour. Really hate money wasted, especially when I paid them for stomach ache. I won’t return.

This place has gone WAY downhill recently. My guess is owners have given up daily management and don't know what's going on. I ordered two fish dinners tonight. I understood it would take a few minutes to cook fresh as they don't keep fish in the warmers. However, they pulled the sides when I ordered and they sat in the box by themselves for almost 20 minutes. When the fish was finally ready, the sides were Ice cold. To make matters worse, there were no napkins or forks included in my bag. This place is run by a bunch of teens who obviously don't care, and have no fear of repercussions.

Employees were polite and prompt. Ordered 4 Tenders combo. The chicken was old and the roll not fresh (both were dry). The fries were fine. cost was $11.90 with tax. Too much for the quality of food.

Wish i could give 0 stars. Dried out tenders, cold food and a smashed burned roll. Girl at window looked high af and like she just rolled outta prison. Put my drink lid half on then stood there to see if id spill it everywhere. Nice try. Wont be back. Don't waste your time.
