What a fabulous meal I just had at the maharaja. They have a full Buffay, but I opted for a wonderful lamb dish with rice I had to order the flat bread individually, but it tasted so good. I would recommend adding it or even coming just for the taste of the bread I highly recommend.

I genuinely enjoyed this place so much I forgot to take pictures except for when we first sat down. Some of the best Indian food in the city for sure. Sanjiv, our server was incredibly accommodating and fun to interact with. He did really well helping out our party of 8. Don’t be afraid to ask your server about the menu items if you’re new to Indian food as well!

The food was delicious and the service was professional. Here’s where they take the gold: during dinner, I was in a lot of pain. When I asked my waiter where I could find something for my pain, the staff went out of their way to get some ibuprofen for me. Thank you for going above and beyond and being so kind and thoughtful!!

One of my favorites restaurants on the east side of Milwaukee. Their signature plates as Rogan Josh or Mango are amazing. The tandoori lamb are perfect too.

I came in with a group that included a young lady with food allergies. We asked about the food on the buffet, explained that she is allergic to garlic and the owners were very nice- they actually cooked her a dish too order with no garlic. The food was excellent and they service was outstanding from start to finish.

The music, the scenery, and the employees are wonderful. I would not go to another Indian cuisine restaurant before coming to Maharaja. My mother Mia has been working here, and she as well me love it here

We took our friends from Kolkata here for lunch. Traditional N India / Punjabi food—tasty and fresh; the buffet stocked nicely and was super affordable. The service and personal attention was really appreciated. Highly recommended. Look no further for a great experience.

Wow! Went to Maharaja with my family for Father’s Day and was completely blown away. There are a couple allergies in my family, and the staff here went so above and beyond with Gluten Free and Dairy Free accommodations. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with two different types of fresh bread. 10/10, some of my favorite Indian food I’ve had. The service was outstanding as well. It is clear that they take great pride in this place and truly care for the customer experience. I will be back many more times. Thanks!

I decided to bring my wife here while searching for somewhere to eat, and we both agreed that this was a great decision. The food, service, and atmosphere was top notch. The staff was as friendly of a staff that I've ever experienced. We'll most definitely come back, and I highly recommend.

Stopped here in a pinch, and was extremely impressed. Service was extremely warm and congenial, and the food was the best Indian I’ve ever had at this price point. Highly recommend the Saag (and get it spicy). Will definitely be back.

Went to Maharaja for my birthday and it was amazing. Food was delicious, service was quick and checked in multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. We were treated like family.

WOW!!! Everything is always hot, amazing and delicious. All the food is delicious, the servers are all sweet, and kind. The atmosphere when we went (Sat @5pm) the lights were nice and dimmed, very romantic and calming ambiance! We will be coming back for the all you can eat 😊

We hired Maharaja to cater our wedding and it was AMAZING! Mrs. Singh and her team were so easy to work with. She organized the food, the entire catering staff, and dish rentals. She was very easy to communicate with throughout the process, from booking, to tasting, to the actual event. Our guests RAVED about the food and everything went so smoothly. If you are thinking of having Indian food at your next event, we highly recommend Maharaja!

Last minute, I had to shift an 8 person birthday dinner to this restaurant rather than the venue we planned. I fully expected to need a reservation with a party that large, but they were incredibly accommodating, even when 2 members were 20 minutes late. We ordered 5 appetizers and all were hits at our table. The staff was so quick to refill drinks and check on us, as well as take plates. Our food was delicious, everyone enjoyed and had more than enough. I can't stress enough how attentive the servers are. Plus, the staff overheard that we were there to celebrate a birthday, and when we ordered dessert they surprised us with a candle and song, and all wished us a great night. It meant so much to me! I'm so glad we were able to go.

I always prefer to have food at this place, and their service is usually very good. They consistently check on customers to ensure everything is fine. There food is always fresh, and the staff provides excellent service.

This is a great brunch option! We came in right around 1:00pm and were seated immediately. Our server was incredibly attentive and gave us some good drink recommendations. I tried a little bit of every option from the buffet and couldn’t find one thing I didn’t like. Definitely give this place a try!

Our family of 3 has been coming for years to enjoy their terrific lunch buffet. We go every Sunday — it’s that delicious. Yummy vegetarian and meat dishes (about 12 total), fish pakora, goat curry, appetizers, 2 kinds of naan, rice, salad, dessert, chai, bevs included. Friendly wait staff and such kind owners. Linens on the table, wine, beer, mimosas — great atmosphere for couples and families, but still homey. I think it’s also a good value for what you get (we’ve spent more at Panera’s for so much less). Plus, they have a dedicated parking lot across the road, which is a big deal on Farwell. LOVE this place.

Signs around the location share reviews as the "Best Indian Restaurant" in the area, and I believe it! The smells pulled us inside, and the food kept us there. The North Indian style cuisine offered gluten free options (not sure if celiac safe, I'm not celiac) for crispy fritters, plus fragrant rice and rich curries. The meat was fall-apart.

We enjoyed the weekday lunch buffet with our young children and had a great experience. The food was great and my gluten free friend appreciated being able to eat nearly everything they offered!

Good and neat Indian restaurant. They have a parking lot opposite to the restaurant which was very convenient. We had samosas, malai kofta, veg biriyani, and peshwari. The food was good. We ordered medium spicy food but it was not at all spicy. As an Indian, I would have loved more spice in the food. But over all, the food was nice.

Lunch buffet was really good, though i was expecting more spice. Fresh naan brought to the table. A bit pricey for lunch, but included drinks (chi, lassie, coffee, soda)

We love Indian food, so we were excited to try this place. We went on a weekday evening and there was lots of seating available. The decor could use a refresh. What truly stands out is the service. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. Food was good - not entirely blown away by it, but solid. Parking was on the street.

We happened to dine in a group of 5 people for dinner at Maharaja. The vegetarian food is not good. Paneer butter masala was not good in taste and the gravy was very watery. Paneer pakoda and papad served with tamarind and coriander chutney was good in taste. Overall, the ambiance was good but the food is not worth the price. The service was extremely slow, it took about an hour to get the food served.

I was so hungry this time that I forgot to take a picture of my food, but everything that I had from the special Father’s Day Brunch was really good! The Chicken Tikka Masala was missing some of the flavors I know & love, but it was still good. I didn’t like the fact that I had to practically beg for mimosas that were included in the buffet price, I didn’t like that it took a long time for pans to be refilled, so I missed out on a few things that I wanted to try, & they didn’t have Palak Paneer on the buffet & they did NOT mention upfront that an automatic 20% gratuity, even for one person, would be added to the bill because it’s a special day/brunch……

The food is not authentic Indian. Indian food is one of the finest cuisines out there because of the use of the several spices. There are many locations in town that have better authentic Indian dishes that would represent more the Indian cuisine. There is a good atmosphere inside you can feel the vibe that the place is intended to provide but the light was a Little bit too low to see the menu

We used to come here very often then stopped as quality went down. Went back yesterday and it was worse than we remembered in the past. Server was unpleasant and despite a nearly empty room was no where to be found most of our evening there. Hot tea was luke warm at best and served in the tiniest cup, Naan was very charred on one side, and chicken was tough. The flavors of the sauces in our entrees were very tasty though. Overall I feel that if the server was nicer and more attentive we could have had some of our issues resolved (like tea made with hot water and Naan that wasn't so burned. High prices for small portions and inattentive staff.

I wished I hadn't come here. There is nothing Indian about the food served here. I ordered Mutton/goat masala curry with rice, however I received bland lamb curry with ubiquitous tomato sauce. The portion was very small as well for the price. I bet all curry served here will have the same tomato sauce for all curry and food. If you have options go somewhere else.

This place is bad… we got vindaloo, matar paneer and pakora for take out. The curry was watery and bland. It tasted like they add tap water to dilute it. I cannot warn you enough what a waste of money this place is.

Completely tasteless food I ever had in my entire life. Everything is kind of creamy and sugary too. Not suitable for any south Indian who wants to have authentic Indian flavors. The ambience is mediocre. I don’t even think that staff are trained professionals. On the whole I regret to visit this restaurant even though none of my friends in Milwaukee suggested me to go there. I never thought it would be this bad. I didn’t experience a good vibe to have food over there. Even though I ordered food to be very spicy they gave me food without even proper salt in it. Hope this review helps them to improve their service.

Walked in to pick up a take out order, noticed the place was practically empty, spoke to the server & quickly found out why. She was immediately rude, unpleasant to be around for even a minute & disrespectful for no real reason. Instead of asking me to confirm the order after handing me the bag, she yelled nonsense at me at the top of her lungs until I left. Hopefully they can hire civil & mature employees in the future that act like adults. UPDATE: Store is now changing the story. I was never asked to present order details, I walked in and showed the details immediately as I walked in, so this is impossible. There is no excuse for yelling when I was acting patient & showing all required details. Lying about the story is to be expected at this point. Disappointing

I don't leave bad reviews or bad tips. The quality of the service, food, and value was so horrendous, it was offensive. Avoid this place. Seriously.

Bad and rude behavior and the food is rotten! When questioned, there were just flaunting there stars and reviews which shows pride unnecessarily! No food is fresh and tastes like uncooked. Service is really insane !!!! I don’t recommend this restaurant. Even the plates were unclean. Waste of money! I believe, that when taking a penny for food, should also always consider about customers satisfaction. I suggest management to get their pride down and consider customers opinion without flaunting like they are already good and best! Please try to be atleast better! Tq never coming again..

We went for buffet on a weekday. They were not prepared at all even though we called in advance. Food quality was ok but they were running out of bread/naan even though there were not many people. Dessert tray was empty. Host was rude too.
