Kelly was amazing, the food was was great, and the servers were very on top of things as well.
Love their food as well as their hospitality. Love the slice of orange and the strawberry they put on you plate when you have breakfast...nice touch. Ya gotta try it if your ever in Mineola!
We eat here regularly and the food is always excellent. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Please come give them a try from 7-2 daily.
I'm not from around this area & this restaurant is one of the friendliest, best service I've ever bern in. I'm so glad I got to meet Kellie. She's a jewel. Jeep up the good work.
We went to Kotchens for breakfast and it was delicious! The new owners maintained the buildings charm and dramatically improved service. Wait staff was fast, efficient and very friendly. Our food was made to order from scratch and it was teuly delicious!
Stopped in while my husband was buying a truck from one of the local dealers and had some breakfast. Delicious French toast and great service! Definitely small town vibes.
The 2 little boys that seated us an got our coffee n water were absolutely adorable. I believe the new owners kids. Just wonderful kids polite and a joy to see. Make our breakfast so delightful. Will definitely be back an hope to see the boys again .🥰
I realize this place has had different owners but I have been going to kitchens since I was a little girl. PB & J with potato chips was my favorite lol now my fav is the breakfast, heather does great on the kitchen she makes my bacon perfect and I’m picky about it. Kelly is a wonderful server, very personable. Go get your breakfast!
Kelly was an awesome waitress! Definitely we will come back. My daughter and son in law was visiting and they also loved it!
Giving kitchens an all around 5 stars. My fiance and I are there this afternoon and we're very pleased. Food was delicious and our server Kelly was super awesome and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking to a delicious meal.
Passing through on our way to Tyler TX to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. Stopped for Brunch, and this was a great decision. Amazing food and service, definitely recommend.
Kelly is the best! Always takes care of us. Breakfast options are great, but the club is my go to. If you haven’t been, I highly recommended.
We went back The food was good and hot. Thanks for fixing it.We love to go there.
This place was wonderful, and Kelly was fantastic in taking care of us. She even customize my mimosa for me!
We have lived in Mineola about 2 years now. Right after we moved here in 2022, we tried Kitchens for dinner and to say the least, we were not impressed. The food was horrible at that time. Fast forward to the last couple of months. We had heard the place had new ownership and so we came for breakfast. What a big difference. Our server, Kelly is the sweetest and most attentive person. We have been back probably 3 or 4 times and each time we have really enjoyed eating here. This is one of our favorite places in Mineola. I always look forward to seeing Kelly when we come for breakfast. The omelets and the migas are wonderful. We got to chat with the new owner Lesley, and she has shared that she has great plans for Kitchens and you can tell she really cares about both the business and her customers.
Good food! Fast service. Thank you Belinda! Great stop on the way to canton for trades day! 11/01/25
We're from Alabama visiting family, but we would absolutely come back! Excellent food and true Texas-size service (Kelly was awesome)!!
My parents were in visiting from Mississippi and wanted breakfast. Not sure where to go,we took a chance on Kitchens and we were glad we did. The food was good, servers were attentive and my mother made sure to remind me to mention Kelly, our server by name. The service Kelly provided was great.
I’m from Ohio, the last time I came down we came to late to get food. I was finally able to eat here and the food is so amazing. Kelly is such a good waitress, very personable, and attentive. Their new cook Santiago is just superb. Couldn’t stop eating.
Great food! Friendly! Kelly gave us terrific service!
Kelly took good care of us! Rhe food was delicious.
Kelly, is a pleasure to have as a waitress. The food is consistently wonderful. My unsweet tea with lemon is my go to drink ..I love Kitchens, my kitchen away from home !!❤️
This place is so cool! Service is great and Kelly and Belinda were so nice!
We had a great breakfast at Kitchens! Kelly took great care of us and our food was yummy! First time there since the new owner, we will be back!!
We went to Mineola today for a ladies trip. My three friends and myself ate at Kitchens. It is under new ownership. It has been updated inside and the hardware store adjacent is being remodeled. The food was so good and the service was excellent. I got the patty melt, and my friends got the Reuben, club sandwich and tuna salad stuffed tomato. I highly recommend Kitchens!
Great experience! Cute little cafe with a great atmosphere. Service was top-notch and food was yummy! I was there for a day trip, but I would definitely eat there again on my next time through town.
Had a great breakfast at Kitchen’s with some friends. Kelley was an excellent server, and the food was very good as well. I like the pay at the table method they use to settle your check. I will definitely be back!
We had enjoyed Kitchens for many years but sadly stopped going as wait times and food quality suffered in recent years. Fast forward to today as we made our second visit under the new ownership. The food quality was outstanding, perhaps the best Kitchens breakfast we’ve ever had! The service was fast, friendly, and attentive! It’s truly fantastic to see Kitchens which holds so many memories back to being a place we can all be proud of and recommend to friends and family!
We traveled from Round Rock to visit family and they brought us here for breakfast. The food was delicious, and Kelly our server was so sweet and kind! This will definitely be our new breakfast spot when we come back!
Everything was absolutely delicious! The burger and homemade fries were amazing! Kelly was outstanding!
Very good food. We have been here 3 times in the past month and it’s been great every time. Ask for Kelly to wait on you.
They have the best crispy chicken salad! Our server Alyssa was sweet and attentive.
This restaurant has great food and service and is in such a cute town. We had the club sandwich and Rueben sandwich and can’t say enough good things!
I love Kitchens! The food is good, staff was friendly & accommodated our special needs child with compassion- even a young bus boy/host was kind and helpful. We also love the decor and just the old hardware feel associated with the building. We try to go every time we are in Mineola, Texas
Great food and friendly service a little busy but food was still out pretty quick
I spent the day in Mineola yesterday with some friends. We stopped in Kitchens for lunch and had a wonderful experience!! The food was delicious as well as the homemade chocolate chip cookies. Kelly was so friendly and gave us exceptional service. I definitely recommend Kitchens and will go back there whenever in Mineola!!

The cook heather also makes us feel very welcome when its not busy she always comes out to greet us and make sure that we love her cooking also this play is mostly definitely a family place.
Lunch wall was fantastic.. we had a fried chicken salad and that was the best chicken. 10/10 If you have not been to Kitchens lately you should!! Service was exceptional as well!!
Impeccable service from Ms Kelly and Nemo! They both went above and beyond!! My food was Scrumptious highly recommended the French Toast!!
This is a little gem in the small town of Meniola Texas. Food is fresh wait. Staff is excellent. Trey was our waiter he was fantastic.
Best breakfast in town, delicious food and super excellent services and delicious coffee and also is affordable. If you ever been en Mineola Texas passing by or visiting you should try the restaurant one of the best.
I visited this establishment for a late breakfast and was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Western omelet, home potatoes, sourdough toast, and coffee. Despite being busy at 11 AM, the staff remained attentive, and I appreciated the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. When my food arrived, it was visually appealing, with generous portions. Every bite was delicious—true home cooking, not the mass-produced fare of larger chains. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and the omelet was flavorful and satisfying. A special thanks to Kelly, my waitress, who was exceptionally friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a hearty, homemade meal served with genuine hospitality.
We had the breakfast and it was perfect! The gravy was very flavorful and the hash browns and bacon were cooked just right! Our server Kelly was very attentive. Atmosphere cute and quaint! Definitely recommend!
Beautiful place..Friendly Atmosphere . Kelly our waitress is great. Definitely recommend going by for good food friendly service and say hi to Kelly
Belinda makes this place shine! Did I mention how good the food is? Five stars isn't enough!
This place has changed with New Owners and Great food. The waitress Kelly is a new asset as well! To the owners GREAT RESTAURANT! We will be back. We are all so full.
My wife and I eat here often and we love it. The food is delicious. Tammy and Belinda are great and make you feel at home.
We’ve eaten here several times and everything is so good! Sunday brunch is fantastic! You can tell she took great care selecting the menu. The place is a trendy little eatery in a perfect historic Texan atmosphere. Our waitress Kelly is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was fabulous and my server, Kelly, was the best! The manager, Nicole is the greatest. I highly recommend Kitchens!
I have had both the breakfast and the club sandwich and it’s all very good, I will be back!
We stopped in Mineola on our way to east Texas today and had lunch at Kitchens. We remembered it from years ago as a deli inside the hardware store. The new owner, Lesley, is making a remarkable renovation and the food is outstanding. We had a hamburger and a patty melt, both of which were fresh and tasted beyond what you expected to be good…..so juicy and flavorful. The staff made the visit even more memorable with their attention to detail and their friendliness. Thank you, Nicole - Manager; Kelly - our server, Heather - the chef, and Fiona - the young lady who does everything. We will definitely return. Jeanie and Gerald from Plano.
Having heard about the new ownership and management of Kitchens, I decided to give it a try. It's uncommon for me to give five stars in every category, but from the moment we stepped into this small East Texas restaurant, we felt welcome. Kelly B., our waitress, was outstanding, and the food was excellent. I recommend indulging in a delicious East Texas breakfast or brunch. Feel free to mention that Merck sent you! Lol
Excellent food! Excellent service! Kelly is the best! The chicken corn spaghetti was the best!
Nemo & Kelly have once again provided me with absolutely The best service! This you are super efficient they go out of their way to make me feel welcome. Food is top notch. Just love this place. You’re missing out. If you don’t try their Ruben and for breakfast, the French toast is impeccable.!!
We hadn't eaten at Kitchens in a couple years, then a few weeks ago we went for breakfast. It was SOO good! Our waitress, Belinda, was AMAZING! She made our experience 100% better! We have now added Kitchens into our Saturday morning breakfast rotation. We LOVE coming here. The food was great, but Ms. Belinda was the cherry on top. If you're in Kitchens on the weekend, ask for Ms. Belinda(even if she isn't your server), and say "Hi!". She'll brighten your day!!
Went last weekend and Belinda was a great server with a very nice smile and excellent attention to detail. She was attentive without being overbearing, and the food was really good. She made the whole experience enjoyable.
I had breakfast at kitchens this morning and the service by Kelly was great. She was attentive and so friendly. The kitchens omelet was fantastic. Go see them and they will fix you up!!!
THIS is one of those places that make me wanna move JUST to have as a place to eat at every day. 😍 SUCH a cool, friendly, historic spot. Such kind and friendly folks. Sweet tea, on point. Biscuits, amazing. Gravy, tasty. Everything we ate was simply awesome and like it came from granny’s kitchen.
My go to breakfast place! I have always loved eating here my favorite food is the western omelette! The staff here is very friendly!
I ate at Kitchens on Friday and my server, Kelly, was fabulous! She was on top of everything and makes Kitchens the most friendliest restaurant in Mineola. The food was amazing as well. I give them 5 stars!
I came into Kitchens Restaurant on one of the hardest days of my life—I had just lost my dad. I honestly didn’t know how I was going to get through a simple meal without breaking down. Then Belinda waited on me. My food was good, I dont want to diminish that. But belinda... made the entire experience better. Every single time I felt myself about to cry, she somehow knew. Like she had a sixth sense. She cracked jokes at just the right moments, kept the conversation light, and gently distracted me when my grief started to feel overwhelming. She never forced cheer, never overstepped—just pure kindness, warmth, and perfect timing. Belinda turned what could have been an unbearable experience into a moment of comfort and laughter when I needed it most. She’s more than a server—she’s a genuine, kind soul, and honestly a little angel on earth. Thank you, Belinda, for helping me survive a really bad day. I will never forget your kindness. 💛
Let me just say, I have always loved Kitchens. I’m from Mineola so I have always been around the food here. With 4 different people owning and running the restaurant, it’s pretty special that the food has always seemed to be valued and remained the best. It’s Jan 10th, 2026 today and I came in and had the 2 over easy eggs, hash browns with a side of French toast. When I got my plate, I already noticed the food was looking different than the last time I was here under different management. However, the taste was marvelous. I noticed that I was the only one eating like an animal in here while everyone else was taking their time, I did not. The best part about this morning was Belinda, the waitress. I was already having a bad morning. Really did not even want to come in but I did. When I sat down, I noticed a woman across the room smiling at me as she walked towards me. I love when people are smiling so already feeling less stressed out at that point. It was Belinda. Please come in and ask for her. I was going to explain our conversation and how she made me feel about what I ordered but you really just need to come In And see for yourself. Now I’m leaving with a full belly and a happy heart! Thank you all!
I was on a road trip, keeping my eyes open for a classic, cozy, country Americana diner, and that is exactly what I found in Kitchen's. I ordered the Western Omelette with hashbowns and biscuit and gravy, and it came with an orange slice and strawberry, which gave me a little smile. The music playing added to the aesthetic, songs like Eastbound And Down, and Southern Nights. I can't remember the name of the waitress, but she was sweet and reminded me of Dolly Parton. If you're passing through, Kitchen's is worth stopping by!
We love Kitchens! Have been going here for over 20 years and every time is as great as the last. The food is excellent, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Usually we sit in Kelly’s section, and she delivers just superb service!
I had a great lunch today! My sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the cozy outdoor patio made it even better. Trey and Kelly were super friendly and checked in just the right amount. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed lunch with friends!
We are fairly new to Mineola, but have been visiting Family for the past 2 1/2 years here. Over the years, we have visited kitchens from time to time. It definitely had a small town feel to it. However, today we stopped by for lunch, and we’re pleasantly surprised with all of the changes that have happened. The decor is much improved, and the Food is fantastic! The food options are more refined, with many on the healthier side. Nicole and Heather were Extremely friendly and helpful. They helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere that we will definitely frequent more often now.
I've been coming into Kitchens since new management took over, and I must say, the changes are all great. The food, the people and the atmosphere is so much more vibrant and friendly. I typically go in every Sunday after church and sometimes Saturday to get my usual Kitchens breakfast, always adding an egg and large bowl of grits with extra crispy bacon. They nail it every time.
M girls and I come wvweh other Sunday morning for breakfast, it is always the greatest!!! We have come very repetitive in askkng for kelly when we come. Today I brought my nephew and a lady I work for we sat outside because it was so full 🌝 i lobe how they had another young lady enauring we didnt eait very long at all to be sat, spoke to, or drinks gotte . And as usual miss kelly is outstanding from start to finish always ensuring we are happy, comfortable content and continue to come back! Bh far one of the best servers ive ever had! And the food ooooh we absolutely love when Heather is in the kitchen! She ensures things are done freshly and correctly 🙌 great job kitchens!
My husband and I have been coming to Kitchens for many years. We had lunch a couple of days ago and I ordered the stuffed tomato with tuna salad. When the waitress brought it out I was amazed at how beautiful it was...almost too pretty to eat. It was delicious
My friend and I went to Kitchens today. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The server Kelly and busser Trey took great care of us. I highly recommend Kitchens. Nicole, the manager, was so friendly and is an asset to this establishment. Thank you for a great lunch. We will be back.
We visited again to see the lovely Kelly as our waitress. She is quick to greet and is very patient to get our order in exactly how we want it! We also get to see Nicole the newest manager coming into make a few changes! She always has the biggest smile! She is doing an amazing job they all are! Come see these amazing beautiful people Today!
We had a great lunch at Kitchens! My friend and I got the best of both worlds by agreeing to share 2 different entrees - the chicken fried steak and the tuna salad plate - comfort food and a healthier option. The delicious chicken fried steak was huge and had a crispy exterior, and we got homemade mashed potatoes and FRESH CUT fries!! The tuna salad was perfect with the slight sweetness from sweet pickles, and came on a bed of fresh lettuce with fruit. It was all so tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Alyssa sat us to a table quickly, and Kelly was a great server. I could tell they enjoy their jobs and I am sure regular customers appreciate them!! The dining area was very cute - perfect for a main street in a quaint town - and clean. We were told about renovations happening to the “hardware” side, and I can’t wait to return for another amazing lunch (or maybe breakfast!!), and to see the other side.
I was in Mineola taking photos today and walked past this little restaurant. Mom and I stopped in for lunch. Our waitress was amazing and the food excellent. Mom had the 1/2 breakfast it was served with fresh fruit. I had the hand battered chicken fried steak, homemade mashed potatoes with green beans. Ice tea was also very good. I asked for a cup to take my tea with me. The waitress brought back two glasses of tea in a to go cup.
Our server was really good, and the food came out amazing. My dad got the Chicken Fried Steak which didn't have much flavor and was really tough to chew. But, his mashed potatoes and gravy were really good. Mom had the chicken strips with homemade chips and toast. I had the crispy chicken salad which was huge. Scott went with the Kitchens club with homemade chips which was also huge. The historic hardware section was closed off during out visit, but we've seen it in the past and it's a fun travel through time. Neat place to visit for sure when you are in the area. There's outdoor seating available for better weather days.
Food is awesome. Service can be slow. Be patient when you visit.
I had breakfast this morning, and it looked almost too beautiful to eat. But once I took that first bite, I couldn’t stop.❤️
Solid breakfast/brunch menu. Cooked with flavor and brought out with nice plate appearance, not just jammed together like most breakfast places. We had a large party and food and service was good!
We had breakfast, the eggs and sausage were over cooked, biscuit and gravy were ok but not great. I was told that they had a new cook.
First time here since new ownership. We had breakfast and the atmosphere was awkward. there was some random woman limping around and hovering not sure what she was doing. then we noticed she went outside. The inside waiter and cook was looking around for her and loudly making it known they were Frustrated with their coworker for going outside. The woman finally came back in and was somewhat reprimanded in front of everyone by the cook. Mind you the place wasn't full so everything echoed. Going to the bathroom felt like I was walking into the kitchen. Also had no way to dry hands the paper towel holder was empty. As for the food itself it was delicious. Everything was perfect. Waiter was awesome. Just very awkward vibe and layout. It didn't feel like a restaurant. It felt like we walked into someones living room without them knowing.
I ordered 2 pancakes, and my husband ordered eggs, grits, and a biscuit with gravy. His order was wrong. They corrected the mistake, although it took 45 minutes to get our food.
My wife and i ate there for valentines day. We each had an 8 oz. Steak that was 1/2" thick and a baked potatoe, 2 glasses of tea. Meal was acceptable but not exceptional. The bill was $112+ tip. This would have been 18.99/ plate anywhere else. Never again.
Been here over an hour now. Only three tables with customers when we got here. One waiter/cashier. No sense of urgency. Just signs all over saying to expect a wait when busy. They are not busy. Took 20 minutes for the waiter to get our drink order. I’m giving it two stars because after 20 more minutes I did get a margarita that was good. We ordered a sandwich and a salad. Finally paid for the margarita and left after almost an hour and a half without our food. Should have read the reviews about slow service. Will not give them a second chance.
This was our first time since the change in ownership and I'm not impressed. The service was slow and one of the waitresses was quite rude. The food was below standards with shriveled moldy grapes in the fruit cup. The Bunny "burger" was larger than any human mouth could get around. Hopefully they will improve in service and food quality.
My first time there. I ordered the full breakfast a pancake and coffee. Service was very slow the hash browns were undercooked and cold the pancake was very thin and undercooked I had to ask for a drink refill my plate had chunks missing from the edge 1st impression not good I do not recommend at all.
Table of 6. Food was bland (not much flavor) Chips on the nachos were very stale and the meat was overcooked. Chicken fried steak was very tough to cut. We ordered a few sides of mac and cheese and it came out as pasta with shredded cheese on top. Our waitress took our order and we didnt see her again for the rest of the meal….
My wife and I frequented Kitchens weekly back in 2016. "Jim" was the owner, and he was there almost every time we were. He was very hands-on, and it showed. The food was excellent, and we always enjoyed going. The servers were very friendly. We moved away, and when we had the chance to visit the area again in 2018, we of course went to Kitchens for breakfast. One of the previous servers, Corbie, now owned the place and she seemed to take great pride in that, and it showed. She was there, working alongside her staff, and the food was excellent. We recently came back to the area, and learned that Kitchens had been bought by someone who doesn't live in the area and isn't involved in the day-to-day operations or the customers.. It shows.
What a horrible experience again. Decided to try breakfast. We waited almost an Hour for regular breakfast items in a less than half full dining area. We actually asked if perhaps our order never went in by mistake about 45 minutes in. When we were finally served, we got burnt on the outside- raw on the inside pancakes, mushy hashbrowns with black burnt patches mixed in, eggs not cooked as ordered- etc. The only edible thing on my plate was the bacon. Obviously our food was rushed at the very end of an almost hour wait. Our server never came back after serving the food... not even to drop our bill off. We had to wait up front until he showed up to let us pay. Both my husband and myself have previously worked in the back and front house restaurant positions. I can say with confidence- kitchens needs all new cooks or retraining. There were plenty of servers- I don't know why we never saw ours again after he dropped the food, but our last experience was a cook issue. I feel horrible to leave such a bad review. The last time the owner herself came and made good on the cooks mess-up. She made me a home made coupon for a free replacement burger to use anytime. I did a couple weeks later- (ordered pick up) and it was good. I was almost overcharged at the pick up counter...but I feel overall the staff needs to be more attentive to details- and I said earlier... cook's need retraining or replacing. Thanks.
First time, had to wait to place our order after two other tables came after us. Second time (today) place was not busy. Young man hour drink order. Brought out our drinks we said we are ready to order. He said waiter will take our order. Waiter never came. Tried to get attention but waiter was busy cleaning tables. We left, on the way out she said thank you for coming. I said for what, we never placed our order.
This is the second time I ate at this location. Both times the service was very slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. For reference I had a salad. Which was good and beautiful. But my sister had breakfast. The hash browns were definitely not brown. Nor were the pancakes fluffy. The same excuse was used both times. We had a rush and there is only one cook. The place wasn't even filled to 1/2 capacity. Mind you it was a good year in-between visits. I had hoped the first time was just a fluke. But apparently not.
