I had the country fried shrimp and my mom had the lemon pepper trout. My kids had Mac n cheese with fried chicken strips. We also had biscuits with some yummy syrup. The food was served fresh/hot. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. If I lived closer, it would definitely be my go to spot each time! Absolutely wonderful!

Their panckakes taste like they are about to burn but they don't. Their butter is delicious. I had their fried chicken with eggs. Them eggs taste like yolks in a bottle from Walmart no flavor no special at all. They have a gift shop with overpriced stuff and Soo much stuff in there will get you alittle dizzy. Overall resent food .

WOW! If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would. We got an over abundance of food and I expected our total to be well over $60. We got the ticket back and it was around $40! We got 2 appetizers, 2 meals with large sides, and 2 speciality drinks. The watermelon lemonade is free refills too! All of our food was great. Totally suggest the cream cheese French toast!

I bought 4 meals to go. The food was fabulous ! Meat loaf, trout (my favorite, for years), chicken pot pie, and shrimp and grits. Everyone who ate their choices were very happy... While I waited for the order, I tried the biscuit beignet with syrup !!! So, I have a new favorite instead of stopping at the donut shop... And the coffee is so much better...😄 Keep up the great decisions for all new items on the menu now. Congrats to the the new top chef !!

abigail was everything a server should be and more. i truly haven’t had a dining experience like this in a long, long time. from the moment we sat down, she treated us like old friends—warm, kind, attentive, and somehow always two steps ahead of what we needed. she checked in the perfect amount—never hovering, never absent—and made sure our drinks were always full and our buttermilk biscuit supply never ran low (bless her). when i couldn’t decide what to order, she swooped in like a menu whisperer and helped me pick something i ended up loving. she wasn’t just doing her job; she was genuinely making sure we had the best time. abigail is a literal angel in an apron and she deserves every raise, every promotion, and all the good things life can offer. this girl sets the standard.

Met a friend I had not seen in over 20 years for breakfast. Needless to say we had a lot of catching up to do. Explained to the waiter her was FANTASTIC and understanding he checked on us after we got out food and then said very politely “ I want to give you a chance to catch up so I will not keep bothering you but please if you need something flag me down” I did try to make up his tip as he was not able to flip his table as fast. Food was normal Cracker Barrel and very good served hot and fresh.

We love stopping at Cracker Barrel when RVing. They always (as far as we know) have RV parking. They will often let you park overnight, and that food is excellent! I had one of their new, seasonal items; the Maple Bacon Grilled chicken with a baked potato and hash brown casserole. Fabulous! Ive attached pictures of Cheerwine, and Pool Gumballs, stuff my older son would find interesting.

Our family has visited this North Tyler/Lindale Tx location for the past three years. The service and food has always been consistently very good, but this past Thanksgiving I was recovering from being sick and my family had gone ahead of me out of town to see family while I rested. When I visited CB for Thanksgiving, the meal was excellent and the server bent over backwards to serve me with a very kind heart and a smile. It made me feel a little better just being there. Cracker Barrel has tasty food. On this occasion, I enjoyed the "Veggie Plate" with dumplins, cornbread, pintos, and potatoes with brown gravy. Kids meals: Mac & Cheese, and the Chicken Strips with the tastiest Steak Fries. We also had the cream-cheese-filled pancakes, which were the BEST. They serve Breakfast all day, which is awesome. This restaurant is near I-20 in Lindale, so it tends to be pretty crowded and the servers are extra busy, but they have always been kind. Their gift shop is full of cool gifts.

Down home food that is absolutely excellent! Thw country fried steak was wonderful, the baked mac and cheese was to die for and the fried apples were a dream! Service was fantastic and our server was very friendly and attentive. Definitely one of my wife and I's go to places. We went around 4 on a Saturday so it was not that busy. And the shop is fun to browse around too. If you are in the neighborhood go by you will not be disappointed! Update: even on Sunday night and busy service was great and food fantastic! Breakfast is absolutely wonderful!

Excellent service! The food was fresh and delicious. The waiter was amazing he was on point with everything. Our drinks refilled extra napkins, checked on us a few times. Brought us to go boxes and a drink to go without being annoyed. He definitely deserved the $17 dollar tip we left him. We had a wonderful time. We were meeting a young couple from church and it was a delightful time place and we’ll have a special memory. The only thing was it was incredibly loud and very difficult to hear. I didn’t need my hearing aids at all because they wouldn’t have worked lol it’s a fun place and we enjoy going there. I used the app and we did not have to wait in line at all.

I've had a terrible week, and decided to treat myself to breakfast. My server, Jake, was very attentive and sweet and made me feel a lot better. He also put up with my very specific breakfast order and everything came out perfectly. I always love coming here!

My wife and I like coming here on the way to Jefferson, TX or the casinos in Louisiana. The campfire beef and chicken was ohhhh so good. Loved every mouth full. The meat was so tender.

We’ve been going here for several years and they’re consistently good. Their service is always great and the food is always great. I wish they would change their menu up a little, but even if not, 5 stars from me.

Been here tons of times so I decided to review it. First off the food is always great here. There’s always plenty to look at with all the things on the walls. Gift shop is big and packed full although prices can be high on a lot of stuff. There is a lot of good edible items to choose from that you don’t normally see so that’s a huge plus. Recently they just added a lot of things to the menu and some are permanent and some seasonal. I tried one today and that was the cheesy bacon homestyle fried chicken. It was very good. It had fried chicken with bacon, onion strings, green onion, cheese, diced tomatoes, and ranch drizzled on top. Sides were whole kernel corn and the best one which is hash brown casserole. Definitely my favorite side ever. Also had side house salad they brought out before the meal. You have a choice when you get drinks to have cornbread or biscuits or both brought out. That’s always hit or miss with us. Cornbread is usually the best if it’s fresh and hasn’t been sitting a while. The other plate in the picture was meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and broccoli. Everything I have tried here is very good comfort food and they also serve breakfast all day as well. Either way you can’t go wrong depending on what you are in the mood for. Katy was our waitress tonight and she was fantastic. She was very attentive great at her job. She was quick with getting everything out and always refilled drinks before they were down too far. She had a smile on her face and seemed to enjoy what she does. Always recommend here when looking for good country meal with great service and comfortability. Enjoy!!

Grandms special with pancakes, chicken fried steak. Overall the place is a great place to stop and have breakfast. They do have RV parking in the back, but could be pretty tight with a big rig. Skip the tea, has a twang, but the coffee was good. Shop was fun to explore both before and after eating.

Arrived at about 9am. Was greeted and seated promptly. My last visit was about 5 years ago. Our waitress Vickie, promptly took our drink and helped us with recommendations. We were served our drinks and breakfast was served in less than 10 minutes. The meal exceeded our expectations. Jim, our cashier was also courteous and asked if breakfast was good. We will definitely come back again. I highly recommend this business.

It's a drive to come eat here. However, we made it. My son requested we come here bc he misses eating with grandma at the cracker barrel in Houston. The service in Lindale was on par with no wait for a table. The staff was courteous and exchanged a meal when my son didn't like what he picked. (He said the chocolate chip pancakes are weird - not sure what kind of chocolate they use, but it tasted bitter and burned.) However, they exchanged his pancakes for regular ones and he ate them all up. Will visit here again, but only for special occasions, it's just too out of the way for us.

Cracker Barrel is like stepping into your grandma’s house, if your grandma had a gift shop attached and served chicken fried steak like it was a religion. The food’s not fancy, but it’s hearty, dependable, and comes with enough sides to make you question your life choices by the time the cornbread hits the table. The service is usually friendly, even if sometimes it feels like your server might be auditioning for a role in Mayberry R.F.D. And yes, the wait can stretch longer than a church sermon on a hot Sunday, but that’s what the country store is for. Now the country store—that’s a time warp in itself. You walk in for a quick look and walk out with a rocking chair, a jar of moonshine jelly, and three tin signs you didn’t know you needed. It’s Americana on steroids. And somewhere between the hand-poured candles and the Dolly Parton cookbooks, I saw them. Necco Wafers. I hadn’t seen those dusty little sugar frisbees since the Reagan administration. I don’t even like them. Nobody likes them. But I bought a roll out of pure nostalgia. Took one bite, immediately remembered why I stopped eating them, and smiled anyway. Because that’s Cracker Barrel in a nutshell: not everything’s perfect, but something in there’s bound to hit you right in the memories.

Waitress not very good. Forgot part of my order and we had to ask twice. It came when I was almost finished. Kept coming by too much (prob 10 times at least) to ask how we were doing but still wasn't bringing our food..drippy sweet! She has waited on us before and weren't happy when she showed up at our table again.

The wait to be seated can be a little long, but at least you can look around the general store to keep occupied. I tend to buy gourmet sodas since I collect bottle caps. They have a variety to chose from and looked at! The atmosphere is fairly loud and seating is close together so be prepared to be a little crammed in. The wait staff can be hit or miss but we have had more good wait staff than not. I love the Nashville fried chicken it's so good! And of course you can't forget the buttermilk biscuits!

I and a coworker stopped at the location in Lindale. Texas on 1/24/2025. The food was terrible. It was cold you could not even melt butter on the biscuits my eggs were absolutely cold and raw. We asked for your apple butter received it. It was just cold apple sauce. Very disappointed. I did enjoy your store and spent quite a bit a bit in there but the food was a waste. I love the old decor. Please don't change it. But the we gotta talk about the chicken fried steak. What did you do? It's now school cafeteria quality with a pre-made (looked and tasted prefrozen) round patty. Used to be my favorite but not anymore. So disappointing when your comfort meal gets changed and no longer is good quality.

I had the last southern fried chicken 4 piece meal at 6:00pm on Monday night and it tasted as if it had been refried, it was slightly burnt and the oil tasted old; ocra also tasted like it had been fried in old oil, the baked potato was good. Husband ordered the chicken camp out meal, chicken was moist, flavorful, but the vegetables were mushy. The biscuits and corn muffins were great. Service with Kaylen was amazing, and the restaurant was sparsely visited tonight with a few senior couples, and individuals in it. I recommend going on a weekend when they expect more people, and they have a stocked kitchen and fresh oil.

Most of the time everything is great. This night we were celebrating my wife's birthday. The service wasn't bad but it was spread thin I think. I am sure our large group was a little exasperating as well. The only issue I really ran into was when the food came out. My food was not hot, but it was warm and my mashed potatoes were moving towards cold. I personally think that either the food was not adequately placed under the food warmer or not at all. The issue here is the food has to be kept at about 140 degrees as anything between 40 and 140 is the danger zone. The server was great!

Cracker Barrel just doesn’t taste the same to me. I’ve been to a few different locations and they all taste different. This meal, to me personally, is more bland. I’ve tried another item of there’s and it was good but the French toast meal is a no go for me. This could be due to me being 9 months pregnant and body changes but I’m not a big fan. Overall they are very nice and timely. So, customer service skills: 7.5 - 8 Food quality: 5 1/2 - 6 Food appearance: 5 But you may enjoy it. Give it a try. That’s just my experience.

The weight was not very long and my server was very hospitable. the only thing that I was severely disappointed in was the size of my chicken fried steak. We're in the state of Texas and no one serves a chicken fried steak the size of your palm. Chicken fried steak is always a meal that's guaranteed to serve a large hunk of meat or you will feel full after dining. When I left cracker barrel tonight I was still hungry and had to grab something else to eat. This just should not happen. Look at the meat it looks like a side item.

The visit started out bad when they sat us at table that had been washed off, but not dried. So, when the menus were dropped on the table, they in turn were also all wet. I commented that I hate a wet table as I began to dry it off with the napkins, also placed on the wet table. The waitress responded with a flippant attitude, "OK, you want a different one?"... Bad start. Waitress sucked, but the food was still good, as usual.

Service mediocre. They were not busy at 10:15 AM. ORDERS were wrong and delivered piecemeal. Food was warm but not hot, and bland. The breakfast sausage patties were so tough it was difficult to cut with a knife

The Nashville Hot (?) Chicken was surprisingly pretty good. Sides and other food orders are the usual bland, middle of the road, boring, no seasoning, amalgamation of tasteless fares everyone with limited pallets and unadventurous preferences seem to like.

I was craving some good homemade-style food, so I gave this a try. Had it delivered and it arrived warm, which I appreciated. The turkey was juicy and the gravy hit the spot. The dressing was decent — not bad, just not the best I’ve had. The pinto beans, though, were bland and really needed some seasoning. But those cornbread muffins? Soft, flavorful, and honestly stole the show. They tasted just like something grandma would’ve pulled out of the oven.

Shrimp and sausage camp fire: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, the seasonings were fantastic and the shrimp was lovely as well as the corn, the potatoes needed seasoning but other than that it was great Fried chicken breast and dumplings: ⭐⭐ chicken was good breading was crunchy, hard to cut Chicken and dumplings: ⭐ the dumplings were just soggy dough, the dumplings, the shredded chicken, or even the soup base had not a trace of seasoning and tasted something out of a can and I don't like to be negative but it was straight up such a disappointing dish Bacon mac and cheese: ⭐⭐ the pasta and cheese were good, but the bacon was straight burnt, the "crumbs" just did not vibe and for a "premium side" it tasted more like a downgrade from the regular. Coleslaw: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ no complaints, was really good. The only reasons that the rating is even 3 rather than 1-2 is because of our server, the coleslaw, and the shrimp and sausage campfire skillet. Nice cracker barrel for gifts, great ones for low prices, but food other than the "spicy" or specified seasoning dishes, not the best for food.

Our server, Miss Kaylee is the ONLY reason this review has 3 stars in place of zero. She did excellent in absolutely every single way; pertaining to her role and hospitality ! She made us feel very welcome !! The ATMOSPHERE at this place is truly remarkable; a one of a KIND country dining experience that personally reminds me of Amish country back home in Ohio !! The food could have been better. A lot better. The cornbread muffin bottoms were burnt & I happened to find a sticker (assuming from a prepackaged ingredient either for the sauce of vegetables.) 🤨😳🫣 The on duty manager comped the cost of the entree upon seeing the sticker at the bottom of my plate beneath my Hashbrown Casserole Shepherds pie. I will be back, hopefully for a 5 star review in the future. These are simple kitchen issues, that I expect to see overcame by our next family outing to the Cracker ™️🤞

i’ve been to so many different cracker barrel locations and have always had delicious food, and this is the only one i’ve had a bad experience with. 1. bacon was basically raw and had no flavor 2. scrambled eggs tasted slimy 3. hashbrown casserole tasted undercooked 4. hair on one of our plates 5. sausage did not taste good at all i’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately the quality of food did not match the service.

I normally eat inside when I come here, however this time we ordered curbside. Not only did it take well over an hour to get our food, but our food was barely sub par. 2 of us ordered meatloaf, and it was very dry, one person ordered mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy and they were given brown gravy. The person that ordered mashed potatoes with brown gravy was given no gravy. The macaroni and cheese was mostly burnt cheese, and the pinto beans were flavorless. When the young girl brought out our food we got an "I'm sorry" and that's it. Someone did call us 45 minutes before we got our order to tell us "our girl is really backed up right now so it will be a while, okay?" We drove 30 minutes there to get our food that we had to wait for an hour to get, and our food wasn't good. We expected more. I'm sorry but if I have to wait that long for my food I expect it to be correct and taste good too.

What has even happened? The food is 🤮. I mean bad. Gravy taste like lard, flat biscuits, flavorless cornbread, whatever yall did, undo it cause this is not it.

Breakfast side options are limited to 3 and myself and guests didn’t like any of them. Please add choice of piece of toast or one pancake or make a breakfast without side option at a lower price. Cashier checkout is always too long. I am older and have issues standing. Please let waiters check us out or have more help at checkout.

We usually like Cracker Barrel but they were really busy this time. My husband's fried cod was cold, my maple bacon grilled chicken was burned and they tried to cover it up by putting the burned part down so you couldn't see it on one piece and the other piece they covered up with cheese and ranch dressing, my son in law didn't care for his meatloaf and it's usually a favorite for him. The server Harlee was very slow getting our food to us and blamed it on the kitchen being behind because they were so busy. She has to come back several times because she kept forgetting what we had asked for and to be honest she didn't have a smile on her face and didn't seem to want to be there. When my daughter and son in law asked for drinks to go she brought them in kids sized to go cups. It just wasn't our best experience this time. I'm sure we'll be back because we like Cracker Barrel but I hope maybe next time will be better.

It was a slow day and it took them 5 minutes to sit us. The food portions have went way down. I remember them have the biggest and fluffiest biscuits now they are as big around as a soda can and really thin. They use to have chicken fried steak the size of the plate now they are really small. What has happened to the cracker barrel I grow up loving. We won't be going back. Then image below is from their website of how big the biscuits used to be they aren't that size now.

As always the servers are polite and eager to please. I think you must have a new cook as we both left quite a bit of food on the table. We are not ones to complain and I know supply lines are not as good as they used to be. I'd rather not have to say it, but you asked and I think this has taken a tole on the taste of the food. For instance I have always ordered the chicken and dumplings every time I came to Cracker Barrell in Lindale, Texas. That is until one time it was like eating glue as I assume the water had mostly evaporated and the next time I ate the chicken tenders and they were burned. Hopefully things will get better in the future.

The waitress was nice, friendly and professional. Had no issues with service. The food was not so good. This was the first time eating here in probably 40 years. Now I know why I stopped. Now I love all the stuff in the store for shopping. They had some really good products for sale. I will go back to shop but not to eat.

Cracker Barrel has j7st out priced itself for what it gives you anymore ! I usually love to eat here. I’m not sure what was going on but I sent my whole meal back. The meatloaf looked like it had been set under the heater for way too long. It was very dry and burnt. It took a while for them to even take our drink orders or bring us our appetizer. I would understand if it was really busy but it wasn’t bad not bad in our area I only seen her checking on 2 tables including ours.

We usually love Cracker Barrel, but this was horrible. Came to celebrate my 9 year olds Birthday. After seated, we waited awhile before we even seen the waiter, when she finally came out, she went straight to the table that was JUST seated.. leaving us with a longer wait. Finally, when she came I tried to ask her if they sang in this location and did anything for birthdays. I tried to ask away from my child, in case they didn't so she wouldn't get excited. Well, she spoke loudly that they offer a cake and team members will come out and sing. Ok. Child heard, and was grinning ear to ear and couldn't wait. The end of our meal came, and the waitress brought us our ticket, along with a tiny piece of cake in a to go box, then quickly left. My daughter was so disappointed. The food was ok, but the service was unlike anything I've experienced at a Cracker Barrel. Not sure if we'll ever come back.

Went to restaurant 5/30/2025, @ 3:15 p.m., to order a pickup order. Waited 30 minutes for someone to respond. A young man said he would be right with us, but needed to go to his car first--he never came back. A young lady then took our order and shortly after announced she is off shift. Cashier said someone needs to fulfill the order. Eventually the floor mgr got involved after waiting for an hour for our order. Approximately 1-1/2 hour we got our order. The mgr apologized for the extensive delay and gave us a promotional card for dessert or crafted coffee which Expired 12/31/2022, so could not use the card. The meal was cold and appeared to be thrown together slovenly. We will not eat there again.

Our name was called. We approached the counter after waiting 15 minutes. We were told we could NOT be seated because everyone was not there. We explained we are all here my daughter was changing our granddaughter diaper. The lady still refuses to seat us. I asked why can't you seat us. She stated everyone had to be present to help the sever giver quicker service. Ha once we were seated we waited another 5minutes for them to take our drink order. Unreal. Horrendous. Lack of knowledge about products they carry in store which resulted in a refund for part of my order. Then I noticed other items were missing from the order and apparently mashed potatoes that have been sitting at the bottom of a food well all day turning brown are acceptable by the cook staff to send out to customers. Management was less than helpful so as they say training in customer service starts at the top and this store has failed. Will not patronize again. Not that they will seem to care based on their inadequate skills as customer service providers.

Placed a pick up order. Was missing biscuits which was the reason my son wanted Cracker Barrel and food was absolutely awful. The hashbrown casserole tasted like it was a week old. The steak was tough and cooked to death. Kids pancakes were completely burnt and black.
