I live in Houston, anytime I make a trip to East Tx or North Louisiana I make sure to stop by Southern Classic to get my fix. The chicken is always hot and fresh and the fries are seasoned so well. I wish we had a few in Houston.

I was excited to see one where I'm about to move in Tyler. It wasn't like in Shreveport! But it's waaaaaaay better than the one in Longview!!!! Wasn't bad just not as good. It was 30mins b4 closing too. I just got off wk and hadnt eaten all day. I'll try to go earlier next time. Guy with dreads was nice. Oh and my rolls were fresh. I hate when they not. Edit: I went two more times, food was better but I also went earlier too. I love the skin on that chicken!

I havent had Southern Classic in over 10 years since I was living in Shreveport. Here visiting Tyler and was excited that there was one here. I figured the place would be busy as it always was. We didnt wait too long for our food and it was hot and fresh. Unfortunately it didnt taste the way it did back in the day. There was this special flavor that chicken had back then that is missing. Nevertheless the chicken still tastes good. I was so hungry I forgot to take good pics before I started eating😂

First Timer!! friend recommended it..The chicken was good..i got a good deal that they were offering. the rolls are HORRIBLE!! Cold and HORRIBLE! i got the recommended dirty rice and it was really good. Cant sit down inside, which is weird for a chicken place...Ill be back when i see a good deal for sure.

Fried chicken was good, I was expecting a more country style type flavor as the chicken reminded me of Chicken Express style. The french fries came out soggy and there is no inside seating, take out or covered tables are your two options. Of note, the apple turnover was very good to me. I intend to go again in the future.

The cook (Dec 7th, pm shift) looked at this container full of grease and still proceeded to place a top on it. Never experienced this until now. It’s barely edible at this point. Luckily the tenders were okay to eat but lightly seasoned.

Just not that much variety on the menu to mess up an order but it was. Ordered white meat and mashed potatoes white gravy. Got dark meat and fries. 40 min drive back so I imagine another customer got my order. Should I invent see thru to go containers, 🤔

Im originally from Louisiana, I drove 80 miles from Dallas thinking the Tyler location would taste great like the Louisiana locations, WRONG! Chicken taste nothing like the other locations, chicken was bland, cajun rice was hard. Yall need to call the manager at the Louisiana locations and copy they recipe
