We enjoyed our dinner here. We were in the area and several of us were hungry so we hit up the buffet. It was an average buffet. But I'll tell you they had the best bread pudding I've ever had on a buffet.

Good buffet. Lots of good veggie options. Cabbage and corn was good. Lots of gluten opens of course but also plenty of non gluten yummy stuff too. Service was excellent too.

I had not been here. I came in expecting Mexican and was confused when the special was “chicken and dumplings”. As the hostess Stephanie was taking us to our seat I asked l to see a menu to be sure I wanted to eat there, pretty reasonable request. She rudely huffed while aggressively throwing open the menu and shoving it at me saying “sure”. Super unprofessional and definitely set the tone for our meal. Unfortunately the food was very bland and not impressive. I ordered the carne asada medium rare, it came well done and did not taste seasoned at all, not even salt. The shredded chicken enchiladas with ranchero sauce that came on the side were good. The Filepe’s beef tacos were bland as well. And the food presentation was great. Abbie the waitress was kind and Tina found my wallet in the restroom. They are the reason for 3 stars. Overall, I honestly won’t be back. But may be a great choice for those who like buffets and classic America dishes.

Aug 29, 2025 . We went to the restaurant at 4:45 pm. The food on the bar was dried out, cold and nothing was replaced until we were leaving. I posted this review on FB and was told that I must like McDonalds. Wow... I am just truthful and some people can't take simple truth. We had been one other time and the food was better but it was not good last Friday evening. I will not go back ..

We asked if the chicken was tender, it wasn't, but they refused to take it off the bill or replace it. The waitress got nasty and called the police on us.

Really wanted to try this place but unfortunately upon arrival on Sunday they were closed although Google said they were open until 8. Such a bummer, when leaving 2 more cars also pulled in and left. Maybe need to update yalls hours on Google platform to reflect hours of restaurant. Will update if were ever that way again and able to try this place.

We have been to Paredes a few times and never had issues however tonight was terrible. The food had been out in the hot plates so long it was hard, the fish was soggy, the hush puppies were rocks. The fried chicken wasn’t hot in the middle. It was a disaster. I told the lady at the front and she got uppity and argued with me saying “look at all these people, there is no way the food was cold.” Ma’am. It was in front of us. I know it was cold. We paid for our meal and left, the woman argued the food was fine and then made us pay full price even though we only ate salad after finding the food no good.

Okay so let me tell you about this restaurant my husband and his side of the family used to come eat here all the time then he passed away my mother in law and wanted to start the tradition back up of going here to eat and sitting at the same table they use to so we did just that… waitress was nice but let me say this about the food fish undercooked raw slimy, pork chops was grey, cabbage had a old taste, Mac cheese was watery, the chicken fried steak was cooked at one point then I guess they reheated it up cause it hard could hardly chew it and I got good teeth, salad had a chemical unwashed taste. The only thing that was good was the rolls and dr.pepper…….let me add this if that didn’t scare y’all to eat here next day we woke up vomiting coming out both ends chalky white and sweating we all went to the hospital ended up being norovirus stomach flu from contaminated food. So if your looking for somewhere to eat here in Mineola I suggest kitchens tomatillos Val’s east Texas burger those I have never had this happen to me at

The food was dry and bland, my soda glass was almost half empty and becoming watered down so the waitress just poured fresh soda into my watered down soda.....from over my shoulder. I definitely won't be back and definitely was not worth $35 for the half a plate of food i tried to eat and the small amount my daughter wasn't able to eat either

The food at this restaurant used to be amazing are used to enjoy taking my grandchildren there! However, the food is terrible now! When you go to the salad bar? The tomatoes are bad, the salad taste like there’s something wrong with it, the salad had an odd, funny taste. So we moved on went and got the chicken fried chicken, it was so bland and so dry you couldn’t even eat it. Out of the vegetables? I can honestly say that the corn was the only one that tasted good. The macaroni and cheese was awful. The fish was not even cooked all the way. On the dessert bar it was disgusting couldn’t even eat it no flavor. The salmon was over cooked. We went to get the Jell-O and pudding‘s? The Jell-O is good, but when your grandchildren won’t even eat the pudding, and they love pudding, there’s something wrong with it. They love the watermelon. I ordered the potato skins? I do not recommend these either. It was so gross. Everything tasted like it was out of the can or straight from the freezer. Nothing is fresh in this restaurant. If I could give this less than one star, I honestly would. Our service was great!!! I do not do not recommend this restaurant to eat at. Save your money cook at home.
