Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, never frozen. Even the steak & ground meat is prepared in house from local sources. Our waitress was amazing & so very helpful during our first visit. I really adored the atmosphere. It's open & clean with live plants everywhere. They bottle their own hot sauce. It's very flavorful with a nice kick. I liked it so much I purchased 2 bottles to go. We will definitely be back

Loved the "past era" atmosphere. From the older gentleman a few tables over talking loudly about how the area was when he was growing up, to the menus that gave you more history of the area than a list of food choices. Ive passed through this area dozens of times in the last couple years but sitting in this restaurant almost feels like coming home. I dont know if momma could of cooked better okra. The steak had a great flavor, I asked for medium and got a medium-well but still a great steak. Definitely gonna have to stop in more often while passing through.

First time here. Went for early Valentine my husband had planned. Every single thing was perfection. The homemade yeast rolls were mind blowing! Then they served homemade jalapeno ranch for my salad. As a cook I appreciate the effort for fresh foods! It was AMAZING 🤩 Our Steaks cooked to perfection! My husband is super picky because he is a master at the grill and he loved his! He said best he had been served at a restaurant in a long time! Side mention our appetizer of Cheese fries were the absolute best I have ever had!!! I also loved the restaurant itself the view and the staff treated us like old friends! I will be back many times in the future. Also nothing they are very fair in pricing😍

I love this place. I have had chicken fried steak, chicken livers, and steak fingers. They were all great, but the best is the livers. That's what I always get now. The baked potatoes and rolls are also good. The salad isn't much to write home about, but the ranch dressing is good. The service is usually very good, even during peak times.

I have eaten here many times and I’m a picky eater or “foodie”! Every meal is to perfection! I usually get mine to go and when I open it up it is neatly packed and I have everything I need and yummy! If you’re in the area or passing by try this place out! You won’t be disappointed

Wonderful restaurant with the best view of Erath County! We stopped for a wonderful piece of coconut cream pie and buttermilk pie with piping hot coffee! Food menu and quality are superb as well! Our wait person was very friendly and courteous. Wonderful photos on the walls of the history of the area!

We sort of stumbled on this place by accident, but I am so glad we did. The prices seemed reasonable until we saw the portion - then it seemed like a GREAT deal. The small chicken fried steak was huge and so good. The peaches looked and tasted fresh, and the ranch dressing was homemade. Our server was just as nice as could be and there is tons of local history on the walls to check out while you wait for your food. There was no wait for a table when we were there, but there I a nice patio with rockers and a couple of picnic tables where you can hang out while you wait for your table. The restaurant is an hour from us but we are already planning a return trip!

Wow, what a great place to eat! The views were beautiful, the steaks were tender, and juicy, and cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Abby, was very attentive even though the place was fairly busy. I feel that the meal was a great value, and we will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this establishment for a pleasant dining experience.

This was our second trip to the restaurant a short ways outside of Fort Worth. Good selection of comfort food with huge portions. Service has always been outstanding and meals extremely satisfying. Highly recommend chicken fried chicken and gizzards.

I had such a wonderful experience at New York Hill Restaurant that I couldn’t wait to share it. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable, with that perfect balance of charm and down-to-earth friendliness. The staff were attentive without ever being overbearing – genuinely kind people who made sure every detail was taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. My meal was fresh, flavorful, and came out at just the right temperature. The grilled chicken salad was amazing! VERY generous, delicious grilled chicken on top, and cut up in bite size pieces. ( I hate to cut up chicken strips on top of a salad). Also very generous portion of lettuce. Waitress was friendly and efficient. This is a “go to” place for us on the way to west Texas.

We had a great meal as a family here. Kids loved the grilled cheese and burger, chicken fried steak and "Texas Sizzler" were fantastic. Highly recommend the jalapeno ranch with the salad. We loved seeing the hummingbirds outside the window, and what an incredible view!

Stopped here late in the evening. It kind of sits out in the middle of no where. Never having been here and the fact it sat in a dimly lit location we were a bit concerned. Fortunately once inside, all concerns were gone. The whole staff was as nice as they could be and ALL the food was extremely good with very reasonable price. The sweet tea was extremely good. I got the chopped beef steak and the wife got catfish everything was great. This will be our regular stopping point when traveling from Dallas to Midland. Highly recommended!

Have been wanting to try this place for several years. Tonight, my son and I came in and shared the 12 ounce steak. The servings were plentiful, the steak was tender, and all the food items had a good seasoning. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the view from our table looking outside was enjoyable. Will definitely return and looking forward to trying some of the other options.

Good lord, WHY did I wait so long to try this place. It will be a regular stop, any time I’m going past it. The prices are great. The rolls are amazing. The staff was ridiculously friendly, even though they were super busy. We had so much food leftover that we had to get a bag. And our waitress was super nice and gave us some rolls for the road. Their homemade dressing is to die for. Especially the blue cheese!!!

I always see this restaurant passing through and decided to give it a try. I saw multiple people say the chicken fried steak was good, so I got that. The chicken fried steak was pretty good, the rolls as well. I think the mashed potatoes are instant, but they were good. The fried okra was alright. The service and atmosphere were amazing. There are a lot of interesting things on the wall. I will definitely try them again.

We stopped here for lunch on our road trip and enjoyed the scenery of this beautiful country side restaurant. They had hummingbird feeders so we got to see some hummingbirds. This is a nice setup for a pit stop. I will say I was surprised by all the people that are local and visiting after lunch that it stays busy here so we knew it was going to be a good place. I did get a salad, chicken fried steak with gravy and peaches. It was good. I could tell the steak fries and chicken fried steak were homemade so that's a bonus. We enjoyed our time here.

Food tasted good but had to have the steak recooked My friend and I dropped in after work for some dinner. We heard the rolls are good, so we gave them a shot and it surprised us by how good they are. They came out warm and soft. I ordered the 7oz steak with double fries and my friend ordered Chicken Fajita Supreme Nachos. It didn't take long to get the food, the Supreme Nachos came out delicious we enjoyed them. The steak came out over cooked I asked the waitress to recook it and that wasn't a problem. When she came back to check on us she brought my fries back so I gave them a shot they were cold and warm in different spots on the fries. I figured it was because they dumped them from my plate and brought my fries that were sitting there back and they had naturally cooled down. The waitress told me that the cook said the steak was med rare in the middle but when I cut into the steak it was well done. The new steak had a strong blood taste to it, but I enjoyed it and if I had used steak sauce it would have tasted better. The service was great very attentive I have come here multiple times since I live in the area and the service is always good the food is pretty good a majority of the time as well.

The food is just ok. Wait staff not friendly or attentive. There is no WOW factor on their food. Mac n cheese is made from a box. Mashed potatoes from a box. Chicken was under cooked. Waitress was polite but not friendly. She held our rolls on basket for about 5min while talking to other people before bringing to our table. Chicken fried steak undercooked. Hamburger nothing special about it. Salad small and not that great. The rolls are only thing good from here. I was hoping for more because the views of location from restaurant are outstanding!
