I loved the food as always. Went to this store thinking it would be more convenient. Didn't have cash so I was disappointed by the "cash only sign" in the drive thru cause I drove way out of my way for the convenience of the drive thru (since the one by my house is pick up only). Had to go in to get the food and one of the employees was on break while two employees basically were handling the drive thru and the front end. As I was leaving looked like the manager and an employee were outside talking by their car when I snapped the picture of the sign seemed to be upset I was doing that. Not sure why but seemed odd

This is my second time to stopped by to Popeyes (drivethru) I like the chicken sandwich, but on Tuesday they have Special Tuesday. So, I try to order, but I have to wait 40-45 minutes otherwise if I mixed the chicken mild and spicy I will get that order right away (how odd). FYI, It took me about 30 minutes in and out. The food so far okay, but only recommended for chicken sandwich instead of the chicken.

Food was good. Jake, who brought out the food, was very nice. My only issue was that some of the stalls are not numbered for pickup. This was my first time at a Sonic in California and I didn't notice any signage directing to one side for order pickup and another to place orders. So it was not clear enough. My local Sonic at home has a number at every stall.

Ok. I'm going to cut them some slack because they were short staffed, but it took over 20 minutes to get our order. Sadly, my daughter's chicken tenders were missing their sauce, but we were able to quickly remedy the situation. The sunset view from my car was lovely, so that helped. My most recent visit, there was an actual car-hop on roller skates.

Finally, Popeyes is open. Well the recepie has not changed from 20 years ago, it is still delicious. We had a combo meal for $20, that included 10 pieces of chicken, two sides, and five biscuits. As I mentioned, the chicken was delicious and crispy. The cajun fries were good and tasty, coleslaw fresh and balanced in taste and finally the biscuits were fabulous. The crew are new and young but looked hard at work. The only thing missing in a fried chicken place, was wet-wipes for hands. Score is 3.5 star 🆗️🆕️♿🍗👌

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a multinational chain of Southern fried chicken restaurants. There isn’t a location near my home, so I decided to venture out to Mission Viejo one weekend with my daughter in tow. I ordered directly from the Popeyes app, so I didn’t interact with the staff other than to pick up my order. I did notice that the restaurant already had some holiday decor up which I thought was festive considering it was mid-November. My full order included the following: 1) 8pc family meal including a large signature side (mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy) and 4 warm buttermilk biscuits. 2) 2pc signature chicken, 2 regular sides (homestyle mac & cheese and mashed potatoes) and 1 biscuit. I have to say the fried chicken wasn’t all that and I’ve def had better elsewhere. In fact, the sides were more memorable than the chicken and in particular the Cajun gravy. I did appreciate that our full order provided enough food to last us 2-3 meals. I don’t eat fried chicken often for health reasons, but I might consider a return to this establishment one day.

Fine Sonics location. You can get the expected Sonics food and eat it in your car, as you might expect from a Drive-In. Broken screen made ordering confusing. Bathrooms are locked and need to be manually opened by the staff. I'm sure there are good reasons for this but it made the experience very cumbersome to have to time your hand washing trips with other people's food deliveries. There were also a few cars parked at stalls with no one in them (and the outdoor seats were totally empty) so not sure what that was about. Overall an acceptable although somewhat confusing experience.

Great place, but beware of lack of carhops it takes a while to get your food. If you want your food fast go through the drive thru or preorder on the app. Great staff always friendly, I have had them mess up my order on a couple of occasions. That doesn’t bother me a whole lot. My biggest complaint is the quality of the food. It’s always cold and made poorly seems to be thrown together. Somedays everything is good and other days it’s terrible. For instance we purchased Chili cheese Tater Tots with Jalapeño and Onion. Cold tots, cheese and chili. I added ranch because I wanted to make “Extreme Tots”. I love the drink selection, but I have to give up on the food. I am just throwing money away…

Literally the worst drive through experience. They made us wait 15 minutes on the lot, then forgot to bring our order out. I went in to remind them and they handed me the bag. Once I got home I opened our food and half the chicken was missing. I called to see if I could get some resolution but nobody answers.

I haven’t had Popeyes for around 3 years, so when they did a collab with the FNAF 2 movie I decided to get the new food item to see if the food was good or not after the opening of the place. walking to the door the handle was broken when I tried to open the door being hard to open (it might have been a sign not to get the food), ordering at the kiosk there getting the Freddy Fazbear deluxe box witch was the thing that haves all the new items with making the item spicy and after 5 minutes of waiting I get my order witch is not a good sign seeing little people there. After I ordered and got the food I noticed they didn’t have the collab cups nor the collab box. once home I opened the box expecting the order to be 3 spicy strips with cheese bites and a cupcake, What I got was 1 chicken strip not spicy with the seasoning just lying on the strip witch is not how it is supposed to be with a handful of cheese bites the only thing spicy was the sauce the single strip did not have a single ounce of what I paid for, having the same taste with the cheese bites the only thing that made it ok was the sauce which was made in the factory premade(sauce is there signature sauce) the cupcake looks like something you would see with a bubblegum factory (witch was the image thing with the chicken nugget McDonald’s controversy) the frosting was not mixed properly having a grainy texture with a chemical strawberry taste you would tased with a child birthday cake knockoff. didn’t get fries everything was cold (I live close to the Popeyes) no quality control no anything. this Popeyes is a scam. I payed 15$ this is not worth of what I can get next door at sonic. Would I get Popeyes again NO

I ordered delivery because I cannot go out. I ordered the two can dine on What I got was 5 pieces (I asked for all white got no white) three small legs and two other small pieces. Placed the order in my phone and charged credit card, when pick up the stuff told me no order match and can not refund, the most rediculous restaurant i meet in my life. Paid but get nothing and can not refund. So I know why so much bad reviews!!!

This is not the first time . But the worst. I order no 4 combo that should contain a leg , wing, breast and a thigh . My order came with two legs and two thighs not fully cooked taste like $hit . Very disappointed and will never go back there. I don't know how they keep the franchise with this bad service.

Instant diarrhea. All three of us about 20 minutes after we ate. Something isn't right here. Ordered a family meal around 2PM. The food I got was probably made in the morning. The fries weren't even fresh. We will never come back.

I went to get my order and when I got home I found out that my 5 pc tender meal was completely absent and so was the side of coleslaw and biscuits. My son doesn't eat bone and this made him very upset. I also ordered the family meal 50% rg and 50% spicy. Additionally, I called them two times for over 30 seconds each and they didn't answer NEITHER of the calls. My order is 612.

I have a strong appreciation for Popeyes, and I have experienced even better service in some challenging neighborhoods than what I received at this specific location. I had placed an order for a 5-piece chicken combo, which I was excited about, along with a large serving of mashed potatoes. However, upon returning home and unpacking my meal, I quickly realized that they had mistakenly given me a regular-sized mashed potatoes instead of the large I had requested. To make matters worse, I found a used napkin tucked inside the bag, which was quite off-putting. Frustrated by this experience, I attempted to reach out to the restaurant multiple times to address the issue, but each time, they answered the phone only to hang up on me or let it go straight to voicemail. Based on this whole experience, I have decided that I will not be visiting this location again in the future.

We ordered 6 pieces classic fried chicken for my son but received all spicy chicken. We didnt know until we got home. The drive thru was not busy at all and the person who was taken the order even asked "classic or spicy?". I told her "classic please" and still got the wrong thing...So disappointed because my son couldnt eat spicy food :-(

Honestly disappointed once again by popeyes' QC. This is unacceptable for a national corporation - atmosphere was poor, many lights didnt work, walls were scuffed up in the corner, crumbs on the table, bathroom was unkempt. And then the food, oh god the food. Most horrible mac n cheese I have ever had the displeasure of trying. Looked like a day old open bowl of mac with a piece of cheddar cheese fried on top. Terrible mushy consistency. Mashed taters smelled like garbage cafeteria food I had back in middle school. Tasted worse than the paper container it came in. Service also poor, they screwed my order up in three places - asked for two apple pies - received two strawberry cream. When they claimed to have fixed it, they screwed up AGAIN. Asked for popeyes sauce- received nothing. It seems like the common theme here is you'll have a high likelihood of having crappy made sides with a delicious chicken sandwich (because it was). I expect better from popeyes, but given the state of fast food I cant say im surprised

had a very disappointing experience at this location. I ordered the 5-piece signature chicken combo (with 2 drinks included), but I was never given the drinks. Honestly, I didn’t even want to bother going back because the service was already terrible. When I requested to have my order made with 3 legs and 2 wings—something I’ve done many times at this same location—the manager, Louis, rudely interrupted and repeatedly said “no.” I explained that I’ve always been able to get this request before, but he still refused. Even after I said I didn’t want the breast and would just throw it away, they gave it to me anyway. It felt like they simply ignored the customer’s request and did whatever they wanted. The manager’s attitude was unacceptable: dismissive, unprofessional, and downright rude. When I said I would file a complaint, he actually told me to “go ahead” and didn’t care at all. That is not how a manager should behave. This was an unprofessional and frustrating experience. I will never return to this location and strongly recommend others in the area choose a different Popeye’s or another restaurant altogether.

I recently ordered a classic chicken sandwich combo from uber eats in this location. While eating it, I noticed that the bottom bun had some suspicious white spots that looked like mold. I am not sure if it is mold or just flour, so I wanted to check with the store. I tried calling the restaurant to ask about it, but I wasn’t able to reach anyone, so I’m leaving this review to bring it to your attention. I’ve also attached a photo for reference. I would appreciate it if the store could clarify whether this is a normal characteristic of the bun or if it might be a quality issue. Thank you.

On 04/21/25 I placed an online order for pickup later on the same day, at 430pm. I arrived at 433pm and parked in a stall. Notified the employee that I was there to pick up an online order and gave them my name. I patiently waited, and waited, and waited. After seeing several other cars had come and gone, I pressed the call button at 453pm to check on my order. The person who responded asked what order I wanted to placed. I explained I was still waiting for my online order and she said it would be right out. After 5 more minutes of waiting, I still did not have my order. I pressed the call button for the 3rd time and again, I was greeted with someone asking what I would like to order. This time I explained I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for my online order and that if it wasn't ready, to just cancel it and refund my money. The girl asked what I ordered and I told her and she just said "ok." So I asked - does that mean you're not going to make my order? She said no and that it would be right out. A couple more minutes passed and someone finally came to my car, but still with no food. The employee asked to see my order, which I had on my phone, so I showed it to her. She said the problem is that they can't seem to find my order. She took a picture of my order on my phone and walked back in. After about a minute, she came out with my bag of food. I was finally able to leave at 405pm -- over 30 minutes from when I scheduled my order to be picked up. It was extremely aggravating and such a waste of my time. Not once did any employee tell me they were having problems finding my order until I followed up on it for the 3rd time. That is some of the worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a fast food restaurant. I also submitted this to Sonic's customer support the same day it happened and never got a response.

Disappointed- Consistent Issues with Drive-Thru Service We've now given this Sonic location a couple chances, visiting on separate days, and unfortunately had the exact same frustrating experience both times. Despite only a few cars ahead of us, we waited over 20 minutes in the drive-thru on both visits. The same employee, Ellie, was working the window each time. While I'm sure she's doing her best, it was clear she was moving very slowly, laughing and chatting casually with co-workers instead of prioritizing customer service. This isn’t just about speed, it’s about professionalism and respect for the customer's time. We initially thought it was a one-time fluke, but the pattern makes it clear this is a management issue. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of urgency and care at this location. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I usually love Sonic's Strawberry Cheesecake Shake. This location never seems to get it quite right, usually missing the cherry or other ingredients. This last time was absolutely awful. The shake was pure liquid, I dont think any ice cream was used at all. They put no Graham craker crumbs and almost no strawberry. They did remember the cherry but this was one of the worst shakes I have ever had. Horrible to pay almost $10 for this garbage!

I hadn't been to a Sonic since the Bakersfield days, and I was ready to relive the nostalgic rollercoaster of flavors. First off, let's give a round of applause to the "best employee ever" who made me laugh by joking about it. But when it came to actually getting my order, it was like watching a sloth race a turtle. I had enough time to Instagram the entire Sonic parking lot and learn a new TikTok dance before my corn dog and drink showed up. Now, I'm no math wizard, but I'm pretty sure that waiting for 25 minutes for something you can devour in less than 60 seconds doesn't add up. And what did I get in return for my patience? A coupon for a single serve ice cream. Oh, how generous! I felt like Sonic personally slapped me in the face, metaphorically speaking, of course. But hey, in their infinite wisdom, they decided to compensate me with a coupon for a free single serve ice cream. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of it all. I mean, who needs a meal when you can have a mini ice cream cone, right? It's the perfect portion size for people with the appetite of a hummingbird. Just don't forget your stopwatch, because you'll need it to measure the time it takes for your order to arrive.

Updated review 07/18/23 What a major disappointment in Sonic. There at 5:30 and the place was completely empty and I now know why. Ordered the 5 strip chicken and it was beyond bad, really tasteless and obviously had been cooked for hours and left in the warmer, not visually appealing, altogether gross, see photo. The Texas toast was old and limp, had no flavor, the tater tots tasteless which is surprising. What a shame, I've been eating Sonic over 50 years and this meal is by far the worst I've had from any Sonic. The quality is just not there, I don't know if the franchise operators are now ordering inferior product to save some coin or what is going on, but I can tell you these places cannot financially remain in operation with food like this being served. What a shame Sonic, food above average for fast food, staff was pleasant and friendly, service quick. Prices are up, but not sky high. Chose here after going to Popeyes (next door to Sonic) for fried chicken until I got to the menu board and saw their truly CRAZY prices, $14 for a 3 strip meal - guess that explains why there were no customers there at 5:15pm.

Order is wrong EVERY TIME. We used to order bacon burgers only to get home and find no bacon (they remembered to charge us for it though). We give them a new chance about once a year and they never fail to disappoint us. This visit, we wanted a hamburger, and 2 cheeseburgers -- one with jalapenos and all without mayo. It was rung up weird: as plain burgers with everything added separately. This seems like a lot of effort versus just putting "no mayo". Despite that...they all had mayo! Of course they did. I recommend unwrapping your food at the window before driving away, so u have a chance to return it.
