Our experience at La Salita last week was simply fantastic. The quality of the food was simply outstanding (Plin Pasta & Veal Cheeks) in my case. We have tried many restaurants around this beautiful area but the combination of highest quality food, wine, service at a very reasonable price is in my view hard to beat. Michaela's knowledge on wine and how to best pair with your chosen dish and personal budget is off the scale. A visit to Monforte would be incomplete if you don't take the time to experience this outstanding establishment.

Tucked away in one of the narrow and steep streets of the old part of the town just a short way from the main piazza, this restaurant is worth seeking out. I particularly enjoyed the trout starter and also the pulled pork. There is a small outside eating area, so best book if you don't want to eat indoors when it's sunny and warm. Good service too.

A Culinary Gem in Monforte d'Alba Nestled in the heart of Piemonte's vineyards, this Monforte d'Alba restaurant is a true find. For just 35 euros, we enjoyed a superb 3-course menu that showcased incredible quality, from the delightful antipasto to the perfectly cooked meat and exquisite dessert. The service was exceptional, reflecting the owners' personal touch and attention to detail. Every dish was beautifully presented, a hidden homage to the stunning Piemontese vineyards. Highly recommended! It's well worth the detour to explore Monforte d'Alba and experience this culinary delight.

Culinary experience turning traditional Piedmontese dishes to the contemporary dining. All in a family friendly setting! We came for a quick lunch but spent more than an hour enjoying the full meal. All worth a bit higher pricetag.

My husband and I were staying in Barolo and looking for a place to eat on Easter Sunday - a quiet day in a small town in Italy for sure. We were lucky enough that La Salita was open that evening. We were highly impressed but the small but curated menu, and the attention to detail in everything. The bread was fresh, the pasta was delicious and the wine was great. We would love to come back if we return to the area.

Lunch here was my favourite meal during my time in Piedmont. The tartare and agnolotti with bagna cauda were both delicious. The outdoor seating in the back is very pretty.
