I had such a great experience at this Mexican restaurant! The mulitas were absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside with flavorful, juicy meat and just the right amount of melted cheese inside. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor. The dirty horchata was a standout too. Creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with that hint of espresso — it’s a must-try if you want something a little different and super satisfying. And don’t skip dessert! The cajeta Mexican toast was incredible. Sweet, rich, and beautifully caramelized with that deep goat-milk caramel flavor. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Great food, amazing flavors, and definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend! 🌮🥤✨.
This is our go-to breakfast spot. For the longest time we only ordered the churro pancakes and cajeta toast because they were SO good. But then we finally ventured into the savory dishes and WOW - we were missing out. The SED toast is amazing with so many levels of flavors! My partner's favorite is the breakfast tacos. We highly recommend ordering the salsa macha with the other two salsas! And last but not least, the Cafe de Olla....hands down the best cup of coffee you'll get at any restaurant!
The food is absolutely delicious! It reminds me so much of the food I've tried in Mexico. And the staff is really attentive and kind. Not to mention the coffee. 10/10! 💛
This is an amazing and delicious food. We had chilaquiles, El pocho plate included churro pancakes. I definitely recommend this place. They have some giant burritos enough to share. Is kind of expensive 🫰 but it is worth it. The service is fast and good 👍
Best breakfast spot if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food. They recently took over the location, it use to be Cinnamon Cafe. Honestly, waayyyy better. Food quality is freshly made to order. Their menu is small however, they do change it up depending on seasonal ingredients. We had the privilege of actually speaking with the owner and getting to know the idea and story behind his great restaurant. We certainly are impressed with their food and quality. You guys have to try this place!!
Great food! We came over here for lunch from Bullwinkle's, and I'm glad we did! We had churro pancakes and a relleno burrito, with cafe de olla and horchata. We'll definitely come here for lunch again next time we're at Bullwinkle's.
Best food!!! Hidden Gem in Montclair. Today I tried the chilaquilas with steak, and best I ever had!! And the cafe de olla is sooooooo good!!!

Came here with a group of 8....our first time here and the food and drinks were delicious. The Huevos Rancheros with Pastor was to die for....freshly squeezed orange juice, cafe de hoja and so much more. Highly recommend....can't believe there is not a long line out the door. And they even gave us 2 slices of their corn cheesecake flan. I LOVE THIS PLACE! We will definitely be back.
We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our server, Andrew, was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out exactly the way we wanted. The manager also stopped by and was genuinely welcoming, which made the whole visit feel even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and served hot—and the service was quick and professional. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!
Sed was an amazing experience, it was my first visit. the owner was friendly and insightful, very helpful on his recommendations. I had churro pancakes with the potatoes, eggs && bacon. It was seasoned just right. Not to heavy, I will definitely going back and recommending to family and friends
Frequent customer as of the last few months. They have a wide variety of delicious breakfast options as well as tasty and packed burritos. It’s a very clean and intimate atmosphere with friendly servers who provide exceptional service. I love the meat quality and the seasonings are delicious, shoutout to the chef! Will definitely keep coming back and remember there is menudo weekend mornings, delicious salsas, and those maiz tres leches waffles are a must!
This place is fantastic. The food is made with love and so are the waffles. Chilaquiles were my favorite Tiffany, the husband’s wife who both own this place or extremely sweet and humble. I am definitely a lifetime customer..
Such a great New Mexican food spot! The food was delicious and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the kindness of the staff. They were incredibly welcoming and even surprised us with a free coffee cup, which was such a thoughtful touch. Definitely a place that makes you want to come back.
This Mexican restaurant was really good! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The service was fast and friendly our food came out quickly, and the staff checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. You can really tell they put care into their food and service. I'd definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food!
Food was great. Service was quick and attentive. Shout out our server, Andres, who was super friendly and gave out great recommendations. The tres leches waffles were a must. Recommend adding asada to the chile relleno burrito, ELITE. Will be returning soon!
I had no idea this place existed. We seen it on our insta and had to try. It DID NOT disapoint. we did have to wait a while, but it was deffinitley worth it. The food was great, the coffee was delicious. My husband ordered the menudo which was really good. We didnt expect that. I had the papa tacos..really good. The rice and beans were authentic. We will be back next week to try more stuff.

I can always count on SeD’s to be the best spot for Mexican food whether for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner! Always serving great food and playing good music with the best service. Anytime I’m craving Mexican, this is the spot that will always hit!
Absolutely delicious! The chile relleno burrito is my new favorite thing. Service was great. Would highly recommend this cute restaurant!!

Had a bit of a wait to get in. It’s a small location. The service was okay. It could be better, but it was a bit understandable given it was a full house. I only saw the waiter a couple of times during my visit so that could be improved as I had to waive down for service. But it was okay. Keep in mind this is a newer place. The food was DELICIOUS! I had a mulita and half of the torta as I was full. The spicy garlic cream in the tortas was a perfect addition of contrast to the hot ingredients. It was great. I tried the dirty horchata which is horchata with coffee. That was good as well. The molletes could have had the chorizo spat better across the bread, but the combination of that with the pico de gallo was really good. This place is owned by a family member of the owner of Oli’s Tacos. I knew the food would be good, just from that information alone. Plenty of potential if the service is tuned up, but the food is great.
This spot is my comfort food go-to for breakfast. It never disappoints. There is usually a wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings but never long. Also there are only 2 servers so be patient... give grace because when they get busy I've noticed they don't remember to follow up with tables. My favorite dishes to try are the Chilaquiles, the breakfast potatoes and the waffles... also special shout out to the Coffee. Plenty of parking here so no worries on that front. Oh yea the portions are large, I always have leftovers. Respectfully Reviewed.

Usually really good food, however had one bad experience. Ordered online for pickup at 540PM, once arriving at 615, was told that they close at 6PM (website says 8PM), yet no staff were present after 530PM. We had already paid and staff were not able to process a refund. The restaurant made up for it the next day, and we still enjoy visiting, but if ordering pickup, call to make sure that they are still open.
Location:Okay, Parking: Okay, Service:Okay, Presentation of food : Good, Time from order to table: Okay, Price for food received: not bad, Getting drinks refreshed by server: Nope. Overall: I had been here once when it opened and it was okay then but they were just starting so I gave them a pass. This time they have been open for more than a year so now they should be go to review. The ace did not seem that busy for a small restaurant. We sat down and had to wait more than 2 minutes to get drinks which already bummed me out. Once we got both our drinks and order placed it did not take too long for the items to arrive. The food looked nice and tasted good. My guest was not happy with part of her order but she moved it aside and continued to eat. Now when I tip I look at a few things gs one is when the server refreshes drinks. It's simple when the place is small and half full. When we had to ask to get a refill that again bums me out. Now would I go back maybe. The prices were not bad, Coffee was good, and.the food was decent. I would like to try another dish or two and see if the servers were just off that day. Until then 3.8 Stars...

We’ve been here about four times already, and overall it’s a pretty solid spot with a lot of tasty options. The food is flavorful and the menu has some unique items. That said, there are two things I’ve noticed each visit. Some dishes — especially the chilaquiles, tostadas, and molletes — have a noticeable oil aftertaste. It tastes like the type of oil used (possibly seed oils). It’s not horrible, but it is consistent enough to mention. Now, one thing I absolutely LOVE: the elote waffle. WOW. So good, flavorful, and different — definitely my favorite item on the menu and a must-try. Also, make sure to double-check your bill. We’ve noticed extra fees added before, so just review your receipt carefully before paying. Overall: good food, standout items like the elote waffle, just be mindful of the oil aftertaste and your final bill.
We decided to give the new Mexican restaurant SedCocina a try — and honestly, it turned out to be one of the more disappointing dining experiences we’ve had lately. We were seated fairly quickly, but it took a long time before anyone came to take our order — not even water was offered at the start. It seemed like the staff were more focused on a private social gathering happening in the restaurant than on their paying customers. I ordered the Surfin’ Burrito, while my wife went with a Torta and a drink. Unfortunately, the food didn’t deliver. My burrito came out early but was overly salty and had only a couple of shrimp pieces, which made the $19 price tag feel unjustified. To top it off, chips weren’t included — which is a surprise for a Mexican spot at that price point. My wife’s torta wasn’t much better. While the meat was okay, the fried cheese was extremely salty, and the rest of the ingredients didn’t come together flavor-wise. Her dish cost $20 but only came with what looked like store-bought chips. The total came to about $70 with tip for just two entrées and one drink, and sadly, the food quality and service didn’t justify the price. To make matters worse, one of the staff members was even on a FaceTime call on speaker with their family — right in the dining area. It was loud, unprofessional, and left a bad impression. Overall, SedCocina has potential, but the poor service, overpriced menu, and lack of attention to customers make it a spot I wouldn’t recommend — at least not until they improve both their food and hospitality standards.

Walked in looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the start. The waiter was not friendly, and when I asked to sit in a booth, I was told no because we were only two people—even though other couples were clearly sitting in booths. We waited a long time for anyone to even come by and take our drink order. The service felt cold and unwelcoming, so we ended up leaving. Definitely won’t be returning.
