My partner and I came here for lunch on my birthday and our waiter, Stephen was such an angel. He was so helpful, his customer service was out of this world. He made us feel very comfortable. He’s an asset to this location.

Our server Audrey R was an amazing server, very respectful and very kind service with a smile. If I come back I would be asking for her, the food came out on time and she made sure we had everything and that our drinks were full before we even had a chance to ask for another refill. Of the owner of this location sees this review I hope that she gets recognized I don’t know how long she has been working at this location but she is a great worker I give her ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review 👍.

Co workers and I went out for a pre Christmas dinner. The service was great, the manager even came to check on us and introduced himself while we ate. Multiple servers came to sing happy birthday to my friend and over all a very pleasant experience. We stayed about an hour after we were done eating and we did not feel rushed to leave or anything. Needless to say the food was delicious.

This chain of restaurants is a first rate one. They serve very decent Italian food, with very friendly environment and affordable price to some extent. I can say all stuff is friendly and helpful. However, during weekends and holidays it gets so busy that you may need to seek alternatives.

We enjoyed the nepb special even though neither of us ate too much. The manager took good care of our dietary restrictions (we keep kosher/halal to an extent). Our waitress Julissa was exceptional, we really felt comfortable with her level of service and family like attitude. The other servers who took care of us were also all great. The salad was customizable, and we were both fully satisfied with everything. Olive Garden has reasonable price but I've always had great experiences going. We also got a portion for takeout, so that's tomorrow's lunch sorted. Left feeling full to the brim and very satisfied from everything.

I love going to this Olive Garden, of course for the bread. The food always comes out very hot and good. The service is wonderful. The only thing that got me was the bathroom. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon that bathroom should have been clean. The bathroom was a mess tissue all over the floor. The floor was wet and dirty. The paper towels sitting on the counter absorbing the wet water from everyone's hand washing. The paper. Towel holder was broken. Other than the bathroom trip, everything else was very good.

The Olive Garden in Montclair has a "Waiting List" on-line that you can put your name on with the number of guests so you don't need to be there and sit (or stand for the most part) for 90 minutes or so.. It will update your number in line so you know when to show up. And show up you should!! The food was perfect and our waiter was, Jarod, was attentive! This, by far, was the best meal at a restaurant experience I've had in years, hands down! I ordered the shrimp scampi and my husband the chicken fettuccine alfredo, and both were great! Plus, for the first time, I ordered to take home the spinach-artichoke dip: ALERT - It was HEAVENLY!! Really awesome with the bread they serve with all meals!!!

02/12/23 After Sunday Church Lunch. This place is quick when serving your food and their services are pretty decent. I like how we only stayed there for less than an hour because we are rushing to do our errands. We enjoyed our main course and we had unlimited refills of our Garlic Bread and Soup. I highly recommend this place if someone is into lots of carbs. Hehe..

We got in quite late on a Saturday night for dinner and the place was still quite busy. Ordered the Gnocchi soup and Chicken Marsala Fettuccine. The service was really good and the food did not disappoint.

Had a great time tonight celebrating my daughter's birthday! Dario was our food servee and he was the best one I have had in quite a long time, over all the restaurants I have visited lately, extremely attentive. I just came back from a 3 week vacation in Italy and I was dubious about eating here. Let me tell you, this food was on par and often better than the food I had in Italy. The potatoes in my soup were freshly cut, bread freshly baked, the tomatoes in my salad tasted fresh off the vine. I was service quickly, and the staff even out of their way to customize a cheese plate for my daughter. The manager of this place needs to be promoted to CEO.

Stopped by this location Sunday afternoon. The food was great. Our server wasn't the girl who took our order. Apparently, she left and didn't tell us. But whoever took her place was great. My only issue with this location was the hostess. Both of them seemed bothered when i checked in as it seemed I interrupted the gossip. Then, when I got a text message, that our table was ready... I got a what response. Luckily, I was in a good mood... What...is that a message that our tables is ready was sent to me. Then her attitude changed to oh what was the name again. Other than that, everything was good. But these young ladies are the first impressions customers get when visiting, and if I wasn't with my kids, I would have asked for a manager or went elsewhere. That's the only reason I didn't give five stars.

It’s pretty healthy if you watch what you eat and avoid too many bread sticks as they are the equivalent in calories to a single soup. Will be coming back here, service was great! Atmosphere was nice, not too loud moderate noise level. seated in less than 15 minutes during the week for a party of two. They had open bar seating but we wanted a booth.

Stopped here for dinner after seeing a movie at the AMC Montclair. I ordered the steak and pasta (which is served with fettuccine alfredo, but I substituted spaghetti w/meatsauce). I ordered my steak medium, but it was cooked medium-well and had to be sent back. When they brought it back they gave me extra pasta (nice touch). The service was exceptional. It was New Years Eve so I left a 50% tip. :) The interior is one of the nicer Olive Gardens that I have been to. Good experience. I would definitely visit again.

Nice place. We had a party of 10, and it seemed a little difficult to get the waitresses that were appointed to our table to come over frequently, and the restaurant was not busy at all, so that was a little disappointing, other than that good service, pretty good food. Pricey as usual though.

She certainly gets 5 stars from our family. I would also recommend this Olive Garden over the other ones in the area. Now, while the restaurant was clean and everything was in shape, I took away a star from the rating for that awful carpet. I get the "olive" color, but no matter how new and clean it might be, it would still look like you're in one of those shady motels you only see in movies. If corporate or Darden Restaurants are monitoring Yelp reviews, have your interior designers pick a nicer looking carpet. You will definitely get more business.

A lot has changed since I went to Olive Garden a few years back. The food I felt was better as well as the service. We came on a Sunday and got seated fairly fast, and was actually here to celebrate my kids bday. One thing to note is that they give you a free desert for the bday, which was quite nice, and we loved that they sang to my daughter making the day more special. Food This was when things were a bit rocky. We always come for the soup and salad. One of the best soups in my opinion is the Tuscana soup paired with their salad with the famous Olive Garden dressing. The spinach and artichoke appetizer was great, and the warm donuts for desert was also really good accompanied by its chocolate dip. The Marsala Chicken Pasta, chicken was a bit salty, leaving us quite thirsty, and we actually had kids meal pizza, but for some reason they brought something else, but quickly changed it. The breadsticks that have known seems to have changed, not sure if it was us but it didn’t seem as good as it was before. Also with the soup or salad, we never got asked if we wanted any cheese which was one of my fondest memories of eating at a Olive Garden. The place was packed like always, with a ton of people waiting, and note that you must be there to get on the waitlist as I was told you cannot over the phone or on yelp. Maybe the next time we decide to come our experience may be a bit more different, until then.

Food is pretty good if you are looking for pasta and salad. I also enjoy their soups. Minestrone is a personal fave. They have a very good Chicken Parm and I also enjoy their Shrimp Scampi. The food was alright. The waitress we got was friendly to us. They seemed to be short on people or something. The lady with red hair leading us to the table was hesitant to give us a booth for a little while. Even though she said a table was available for us. She said we would have to wait 20-40 more minutes for a booth. Even though no one else was in a couple of booths. And there wasn’t much of a line. But luckily they eventually gave us a booth. When we were leaving they didn’t say anything they just started at us. It was the same lady with red hair and someone else. “Have a nice day” would have been nice. I haven’t ever had a experience were someone wants to not give a booth. And then there was a guy working there carrying a vacuum near costumers while they were eating. I wish I could have said it went better. I felt somewhat uncomfortable but I tried to have a good time.

The pasta was ok. I ordered grill chicken on the side for $5 dollars, and the portion of the grill chicken was the size of 2 chicken nuggets from McDonald's.

Usually they're better than this. I requested no onions in my salad and it had onions (a lot). I picked them out one by one and the lettuce was somewhat wilted like it was premade and sitting for who knows how long but I didn't mention this to the server. When I received my entree it looked very toasty on top (cheese). When I started eating it I realized it was over cooked and some of the raviolis were rubbery around the edges. I couldn't finish it. Yuck. I'd had enough and told the server who notified a manager who saw the plate and said right away that he would deduct my entree from the bill. So 2 stars for the food but I gave 3 stars due to the managers handling of the matter.

It was okay. Nothing to write home about. Your basic Olive Garden just more expensive.

They claim no reservations but one in our party made them. Another just got wait listed. Wait was over an hour for a large party. Instead of putting tables together, they continued to seat smaller parties. Crowded, servers over worked, just slow.

A warning to check your bill! This is the second time we've been charged twice for the same item on Olive Garden's electronic billing kiosk, and then confusingly they fix it by creating a new bill so there are two bills (you only pay one). They need to fix their system so this doesn't happen. The food was ok and service was friendly.

Although the endless soup and salad is a favorite of mine there were other things that I was disenchanted about. 1. No soap in the bathroom and they lied to me about the dispensers not working well. 2. I'm not fond of people who lie. 3. The large carafe of t was watered down because they only put one tea bag in a large amount of water. 4. The carafe was filthy on the outside.... Filthy.😱 5. Little people's dirty hand prints on a mirror above us. Was this enough said?

It's okay - not fine dining. Service varies depending on the server and hostesses. Some are more attentive than others. The hostesses were observed at the front desk and after being seated attending with their work more than their guests. A polite, "Welcome, I'll be with you in a moment," works wonders. Our most recent visit, it took at least 10 minutes (no exaggeration) before anyone greeted our table. This included the hostesses off to the side reviewing the floor plan for incoming guests. Turned out, our server had just started her 30 minute break, but didn't greet us first, or didn't know her table was sat..? And the server who was to take over during that 30 minutes either wasn't aware it was her job to take our table, or forgot? I don't know, but communication is obviously not prioritized. Overall it just felt chaotic. Busy doesn't have to mean chaos. And if chaos is inevitable, then chaos with a smile is better.. just sayin. As for the food, the minestrone was good, bread sticks were good, the mixed drinks were good. The eggplant parmesan is not recommended. Too heavily fried with too much cheese. It was all too much the same kind of mush texture. Overall, wouldn't be my first restaurant choice on a weekend night, as they don't provide the comforting service, food, or atmosphere I personally enjoy experiencing.

Flamboyant short 💅 host literally gawked at my guy, gave us horrible seating arrangements, you could hear the servers talking really badly about someone’s appearance, just awkward and weird. It wasn’t a good experience as soon as we entered. Please hire new servers and host . it was a weird dinner and we will never come back lol. Maybe new managers ? Question mark?

Wow are they really doing this? I placed my online order today and noticed that they have a limit for the breadsticks. I keep what they said was included with my food, 4 breadsticks bc is 2 dishes. I get home and notice they only give me 2 breadsticks. I know I did not leave a huge tip (5%) but it is just pick up. I even left a comment reminding them about the breadsticks. And btw the 2 only breadsticks we got were not even fresh ( can notice the texture when fresh), and the food did not have enough sauce (just the visible parts did). On a holiday. Sad and disappointing

This fragment of a lunch-sized Lasagna at $13.49 for dine-in is an absolute disappointment. Fork placement is for size comparison. The cheesy top layer of this serving with the clumps of sauce gives it a bulked illusion. I questioned my server if it was legitimate and confirmed it was right. Even tried to upsell me to the full dinner meal and its cost, saying it would be an additional equal slice. I was speechless. Quite literally, it took 4 bites to clear the dish. I felt like cancelling this order and sticking to the basic soup and salad just to cure my empty stomach. The restaurant location wasn’t busy at all. I can’t comprehend the restaurant’s agenda of offering never-ending servings of soups, salads and bread but underserving the main dish. My visit on 08/25 (Around 8PM) can't go wrong more than this. Before I ordered anything, I asked the server to run my gift card in which she came back to me with a paper saying it had a balance that was more than enough to cover my check and ready to use . Lasagna was extremely bland and out of place and cost $24 before anything. When I tried to pay for my check, her screen said needed an override as it's in Ruth's Chris formatting (part of the same company) and she called this extremely rude manager who not only refused to honor it, but she also harassed me saying in front of the public “yeah thats why its very rare someone would order our more expensive wine to go” even though they literally have a wine to-go on their own website. Even after telling this manager that I could call the corporate to get the the general formatting and read it to them over the phone later, she claimed that she could not do a refund to my credit card that I used to pay. I also explained that this is Ruth’s Chris formatting which is under the same company and she was harassing me: “No all the information you gave me is wrong.” Last but not least, they defrauded me by freezing my Ruth's Chris format gift card and basically they trashed away over $100 on that gift card. Should you be hiring or naming someone who not only is mocking customers for fun, but also doesn’t want to do their bare minimum work and screw customers over?

Got here today at 4 pm restruant was half full open table but not full .. yet . Party of 5- 3 kids 2 adults . Took 15 mins to be seated . With other customer walking in and beeing seated before us . Finally get seated and we are at a very large table round table seating for 8 . Ask lady at the entrance if we could be seated in a booth or just a smaller table in general . She seems to be really bothered like it was an inconvenience for us to even be there and gave me a snark response telling me they have to move tables and it be another 15 mins waiting . Mind you the restruant was not packed or busy. I told her no and that I've already waited 15 mins and there a table right here that will seat my 3 small kids and me and my wife. Got seated in less then 2 mins restruant was busy . Got to have my 3 kids all under 5 sit next to me not 10 ft away . And both the waitress and front of house staff was polite and quick with service so . We will not be returning to olive garden with such rude staff members . O also we spend sbout $150 at apple bee on food and drink that night well worth the money over olive garden rudeness from staff over a seating arrangement that I tried to navigate nicely to accommodate my kid and my family confirt going out to eat .

First, I wanna say that this is only about the location of Montclair CA. We went and was set in the back. Where the kitchen is and all the servers pass you up with dirty dishes cooked food. Is just the surface area. In my opinion, it shouldn't be an area where you sit people. There's a big wall that blocks you off from the rest of the restaurant, which means it blocks you off from circulation of air. It was stuffy It was musty completely unacceptable where they sat us, so make sure when you go, don't let them sit you all the way in the back. Now as far as our server On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give her a 5. Now, as far as the food, this is the first time in 20 something years that I've ever gone to Olive Garden and was not happy. We ordered this new dish called steak Alfredo with blue cheese and some other kind of cheese. And a balsamic drizzle is absolutely horrifying. Maybe it's the way that the chef made it where he did not balance the cheese, but it was terrible, absolutely terrible. So Beware of the new dish. I give it a 0. The Italian Margarita tastes like fruit punch and that's the first time that I've had that drink and it didn't taste like what it was supposed to be also when the server brought it to the table, she spilled it all over the table. We never got forks, we never no. That's not true, we got forks, we never got napkins. No matter how many times we asked for them, you had to keep asking. It was a horrible experience, and I will never go back to the montclair california location You have to be mindful of where you spend your mobecause nowadays.They'll serve you anything and treat you any kind of way.I am completely Dissatisfied with my experience, especially being a nurse and not getting that many off days off when I go out. I want to have an experience, not an horrible experience. And it was far beyond pleasant from food to service to where I was set. So, just to sum it up, go to another location. My favorite location is in Chino Hills near the spectrum center. That's where I'll be going from now on.

I took a close friend to dinner to celebrate her birthday. Our dining experience was horrible. We arrived a little after 4:00 pm and were told there was a twenty to twenty five minute wait. This was fine and that is what we waited. My issue was that there were dozens o empty tables when we got seated. Also it was extremely cold in the restaurant. Our order was taken in a timely manner. The waitress was not very friendly but also fine with me. We placed our entire order including appetizer cocktails and meal. I ordered pins coladas and an iced tea. We both ordered the stuffed chicken Marsala with extra sauce. My tea came first and I had asked for regular iced tea. It was sweet fruity or something tea when it came. Next our soup and bread sticks arrived without the Alfredo sauce to dip the bread in which we had ordered. Then came our meal quite shortly after which arrived cold. Then came our appetizer and finally our cocktails. I politely commented to the waitress that our food was cold she took them away claiming new ones were being made. While our food was gone the extra sauce we ordered came before the food came back. When the food arrived it was obvious it was the same plates as mine had one bite removed as this is how I discovered it was cold. Overall it was a very disappointing dining experience all around.

Service was terrible!! waitress and hosts in front. Woman’s bathroom had all this water on the floor & sink area … people were tripping as they walked into the bathroom everything needed to be stocked and the toilets were so filthy and the toilet seats had poop all over them. when i noticed this i told the hosts in the front. after my 2 hr visit, i used the bathroom and nothing was done - still dirty. they blamed it on being “busy”. there was 2 hosts.. so hazards don’t come before seating people?

I love Olive Garden but this location is horrible. Dinners not that bad but the lunch staff is completely incompetent. Messing my order up EVERY time. They’ve literally handed me pasta with no sauce TWICE! Imagine you’re a cook at an Italian restaurant, how horrible at your job are you that you forget to put sauce on pasta not once but twice! Lol. My guess is its bad management since dinners not that bad here.

sat down for 15min, and no one came to serve us. Waited patiently, but did not ask us if we wanted drinks, nothing . I just walked out.

Never coming to this place again! This is the first time I ever felt the need to do a review on a restaurant but what happened to me is unacceptable. Ordered dinner to go and as my girlfriend and 1 year old son were eating the chicken & gnocchi soup my gf saw what appeared to be some wings inside the soup and immediately screamed at me to take a look and with my own hand I pull this out!! Seems to be some sort of moth. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!

Me and my daughter ordered the "endless pasta bowl" ... can sauce is better than this... minestrone soup was bland as well..in fact I had to add salt and pepper to everything..perhaps it's the location?

went there yesterday wit 2 on my friends the service was horrible took like 20 minutes to even ask us what we wanted to drink.I seriously saw like 3 other people get sat down and get their appetizers and drinks before us.All the waitresses were ignoring us until i speak up and said something so they finally helped us.A waitress was trying to be nice but i knew she wasn’t being genuine.Overall bad experience never going again

I want to start and say the waitress was nice and friendly and I had no issues with her. The woman at the front who sat us was a bit awkward but again, no issues. I took my 6 year old daughter out to lunch for a day date. She got her food and I got my salad and everything was okay. The breadsticks were a bit stale but we’re not sticklers for stuff like that, so again it was fine, not great. My meal came and I had a few bites and it was delicious. The issue began after my daughter said she needed to use the restroom. The hostess was walking by so I asked where the restrooms were located. She stated by the front entrance. I took my daughter to the restroom and we were gone for no more than 2 or 3 minutes. We come back to the table and a bus boy is standing there confused. He had already taken our plates and drinks and stacked them. He says “oh were you still eating?” And I was so confused. I had my phone and purse on the table and hanging on the chair. The food had three bites missing. I had asked the staff where the restrooms were and left my belongings on the table. “Obviously we were” I said, upset that he just ruined our meal. “Someone said you were done “ he said. So I grabbed my purse and said I would not be paying for this and walked out. I came back and asked the woman at the front for my phone I had left on the table. The bus boy went back to the tables and I stood there upset and waiting for 5 minutes. A manager came out and I grabbed my phone. She began trying to have a conversation about the incident but by that point I had no interest. I left with my daughter. We will never be going back. I understand that misunderstandings happen but it’s common sense that no one seems to have. No one seemed sorry or as if they cared at all. Had I stayed I’m sure they would have tried to make me pay.

Overall such a horrible experience i had last night. i came in around 8 and waited for almost 30 minutes just for a party of 3, the hosts were alright and doing their job well, but when i was going to be seated there were so many tables that were dirty and it just seems unsanitary so i just brushed it off and thought maybe they just finished a rush and are trying to clean as best as they can, we get seated and our bread and salad come out good, there was one small hair in the salad but we just took it out and kept eating, the raspberry pink lemonade or whatever it is tasted so bland and it didn’t even look pink, the color looked so watered down and tasted bad. Def not coming here ever again, probably bad management anyways if this is happening when i read the other reviews as well

I like to sandwich reviews, so I’ll start with the positives. The service and presentation were great. We sat at the bar and were greeted and served right away by Aliyah—an amazing bartender. She got our drinks going quickly, and we ordered an appetizer for our group of three. Everything started off smoothly and felt welcoming. After finishing our appetizer, we ordered the never-ending soup, salad, and breadsticks—what Olive Garden is known for, and something we genuinely love. Unfortunately, when the salads arrived, there was a hair in my friend’s salad. While definitely gross, we work in food service ourselves and understand that things can happen, so we tried to brush it off and continue with the meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet it took about 25 minutes for the kitchen to send out our food. Again, not ideal, but we were patient. The final straw came when another friend found another hair in her plate. At that point it was a “strike three” moment for us—no dramatic confrontation, but it definitely left a sour taste in our mouths. $140 later, we won’t be returning to this location. Word of advice: please enforce hair nets—health code protocols exist for a reason. That said, thank you again to our bartender. Aliyah truly made the night better and was the highlight of the experience.
