Tom's Burgers

Tom’s is our go to burger spot. We live down the street and love it! Their cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and chili cheese fries are out favorite! We order from them at least once a week and bring our friends and family when they visit.

This is the best classic spot to eat if you want to get some fries or some chili cheese fries to go they have the best fries in town. Amazing service great service everybody is very polite the food is made fresh. You will not be disappointed.

We been going to eat at Tom's for 25 years. We lived in Montebello for 5 years on 6 we walked every weekend or when I was off work. But we moved to Ontario 20 years know..we still drive every year for our favorite chill cheese fries they know we loved then extra crunchy. My daughter was a baby going to Tom's know she's 25 and she still loves going...

I have to say, the burgers here are the best in LA, also in my life. The first time I ate here was in 2014 when I worked nearby. It’s been awhile since I quit my job but I still drive long time to here for the cheese burger.

This my first time at Tom's Burgers I was very curious about this place I always past throught many time but many times I throught the restaurant was close I took a chances but it was open. I step in the restaurant it have so many memorabilia like movies sports and other things. I look at the menu they have wide section then I decided to order the sourdough chicken club combo. I waited then the cashier brought my meal to me really nice. I took a bite of the sourdough chicken club wow nice flavors in the club. The chicken have great flavors and cook perfect addition with bacon lettuce and tomato I really enjoy it very much and fries were very crispy and it have that crunch. I enjoy my meal very much and I need to come back again soon.

I know they are under new management again so I walked in and it seemed to be dead at the time I went but the new owner seem to be really nice and recommended me the chicken teriyaki bowl so I went for it which turns out to be really good!! Would recommend

Tom's Burgers is my hometown favorite. I miss going there. A variety of items on the menu. Burgers and pastrami are good of course but you gotta try their breakfast sanwiches on Armenian Bread. Man, I'm salivating just thinking about it! UPDATE February 2024— The last two times I went to get my breakfast sandwich, Tom's was closed... Does anyone if it's closed down? I didn't like the change from food to all the Karaoke and gift items for sale: That's why I put two stars for the atmosphere. I go there for food, not a swap meet.

My first time here and was craving a cheeseburger. It was delicious! I ordered a double cheese burger combo. Just on the cup alone I should have expected amazing tasting food. The burger is beautifully seasoned with melted gooey cheese. Must try!

The food is very good employees are nice the restaurant is clean and the seats are comfortable they play music and it’s very nicely decorated

What a pleasant surprise!! A new owner with a multitasking cook, sever, and covered the register. The owners were there and gave their worker complete trust to get the food out. We had the teriake chicken which had a scoop of rice with an egg. Great salad on the plate. A very nice plate of delicious food. They have hamburger combos plus they give local students a discount. We will definitely go back.

I eat here once a week, nice place, good food and pricing is fair. Unfortunately, the place was sold and I can only hope for the best now. Will give the new owners a chance but I can already predict cheap meet, the pictures off the walls, no more music and the A/C will be cut off or reduced. I will miss the previous owners and I wish them well. Let's all give the new owners a month or so to see how they do things.

Good home made feel to their breakfast platter. Nice homey feeling too the ambiance. Can't say I've tried the burgers yet, but if they are as good as the breakfast. I can see myself going back.

Ok so the ground beef tacos are the best! My only complaint is the hot sauce, its pretty spicy which is great but it has too much of a vinegar taste to it that I Don't like, but is doable. They have pretty good fat fries. The ranch is not good either, I do not recommend it at all. But I love the tacos!! I used to go here for my grandma when she lived in Montebello, so I've been eating there tacos for about 25 years. And I only get the ground beef taco.

The place opens early, it's clean, parking available, family friendly, public RR available and staff is super friendly. However I have to say that this time the food was not as tasty. My BF birrito was blant & a bit dry. Not how I remember it. Not sure if I'll go back?

It's pretty good, the portions are not ginarmous which I liked. We had the hamburgers, fries, pastrami, and taquitos. Hamburgers were good, fries too. Pastrami was good, just meat was on the thinner/fattier side. Taquitos I wouldn't recommend. The inside looks really neat though. They have neat posters and a TV. We've been there about three times now. Prices are fair. People are friendly and service was quick. It's clean and I recommend it :)

I really like this restaurant! It's been here forever! It looks a bit run down but the food is great! 👍 I'm a vegetarian & I love there egg & cheese sandwich! My son is a very picky eater & whenever we're in the area he'll ask to eat at Tom's Burger lol so cute! 😄

Food is good, the proportions are huge and filling. The fries are thick cut and golden. I really like their hard tacos the shells are warm and flamey and they don't skimp out on cheese. The parking lot is kind of small and their aren't many seats in the dining area either so it's hard to find parking when it's busy.

I have been coming here for 30 years when Tom actually owned it. Then Gus and his family took over. Came here Sunday. To my surprise new face’s. I asked the young man if it is new owners he said yes. I was a little bummed out because the previous owners knew how like my order. Yes onion ring’s a lot different not the same! I will give them a chance going too see if the green burrito is the same. Hope all goes well for Gus and his family👍

Place is great. Staff is friendly. I believe it's Korean owned due to some items you won't see at other Tom's. Cheeseburger combo was so good. Fries well seasoned and fresh off the fryer. Tried their bulgogi kimbap. It was good. Parking is decent. They do phone orders. Definitely will come back again

Tom's is losing it's touch smaller pastrami sands, reduced tortilla size of the hard shell tacos no more beef green chili burritos losing the customer care and lost the awesome red hot sauce.

I asked for big fries. And they gave them to me im a bag. I asked if they come on a box and they said no. I was disappointed I would have paid for the box of they would have told me. I wanted to eat them on the way home but I couldn't. SAD the your lady have Excellent service. I don't know if I'll go back. Fries where good

Been coming here for years just a Pastrami sandwich and they changed the quality of the pastrami meat....it's sliced very thick and the meat is fatty and at the bottom of the wrap it's mussy. Sure miss the old Tom's!

Terrible breakfast burrito. Dry tortilla and terrible taste. Threw it away after a few bites. There was someone living in a camper trailer within a few feet from the restaurant in the parking lot.

When I go eat some where, I want to feel welcomed. That didn't happen here. They took my order gave me my change and never said another word. Told me my order was ready left it on the counter and walked away.

Disappointed. The restaurant seems nice and homely, and the staff looked friendly. I ordered chili cheese fries and onion rings. The chili tasted so bland. Like imagine Tommy's chili but even blander than that. The onion rings also tasted overcooked. Probably won't return.

So I've been eating here for some years, always great service and great meals. As usual I placed a phone order for pick up. A pattymelt on sourdough,no tomatoe,, grilled onions, fries and a large coke. I got there and was charged $18 and change. Soda and fries were ok, my pattymelt was cut in half and I see tomatoe which I asked for no tomatoes, it had a bunch of lettuce(never had a pattymelt w lettuce before)the meat patty a single patty really thin, it had grilled onions along with totally raw onions together, and the bread was toasted white sandwich bread totally dry. Nothing like what I have been accustomed to by the previous owenership. To be charged that amount then be served what they gave me? I said I would support the new owners as long as the food didn't change, but this was like a huge leap backwards. I guess , no , I know I won't be going back there again . Total bummer having to lose such a good spot for fast food which was really great tasting and filling for fair prices. Not anymore. I wish the best to Gus family & crew in there new journey's. For the new owners if you don't know about the burger business or tried to cut corners and cost like it appears, maybe you just ought to stick to what you know. Maybe a Chinese fast food place might be better for business. There aren't any really close by there. Either way I wish you guys best of luck too.

The breakfast burrito tasted like the top of the pepper shaker broke... It was gross, way too much pepper.. The customer service sucked... TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.. The Tom's on Olympic and Maple in Montebello... It TASTED like pepper... if you don't use pepper I can't even begin to imagine what it was... I'm sorry, maybe the cook was having a bad day, but I went there because a co-worker raved about the breakfast burrito.. I was very disappointed..

I used to think this place was good. Just the other day the cook guy was sweeping that cooks the food. Then proceeded to make my food then he got on his phone which is very dirty it's very dirty from any standpoint a standpoint then finish my food.. So I paid for it and threw it away eh I should have confronted him but you never know who has a gun..

Went for the first time since they changed owners and they made me wait half an hour for a blt and burger. Then proceeded to pour an entire tub of sauce on the burger that was supposed to be plain. Avoid this place. Not worth it anymore.

Asked for extra crispy fries with no salt on both my chili cheese fries and order of regular fries, and they PUT SALT and the fries were undercooked flimsy and soggy 🙃. But that’s not the worst part. My cheeseburger was partially raw?!!! 🤮 It took me a few bites of the burger before realizing it tasted off and when I looked down saw what appeared to be a partially cooked frozen patty. I actually lost my appetite. This place isn’t what it used to be. Will not be ordering from here again.

If I could give this place - stars I would. I have no idea how this place is open so disgusting. I went a few days ago and saw a RAT run across the restaurant PLUS my burger had MOLD ON THE BREAD ! And when I brought it up to the new owner he didn’t even seem apologetic or offer a refund ! WOULD RECOMMEND NEVER TO EAT HERE !!!!!
