We had a great time! This place is very isolated and Foce doesn't offer many amenities, which is precisely why I liked it. It's an excellent location for various excursions! From here, you can walk to Mount Vettore (not an easy route), passing by the Pilato Lakes. If you want, you can reach Mount Sibilla in a 10-minute drive. The restaurant is top-notch; I would come back just for dinner. We ate very well and the dishes were very generous. Welcoming service. The room was spacious and clean. I loved everything.

We had a great time. The place is cute and welcoming, and the staff, always kind and professional, makes you feel at home. The cuisine is inspired by local tradition and is truly delicious. We enjoyed two extraordinary soups (one lentil and chestnut, the other chickpea and porcini) and an excellent mixed grill accompanied by sautéed chicory (I don't have photos of these... my forks were quicker). Worth it!

Beautiful refuge in a stunning location! We stayed here as a stopover on a trek. A magnificent place in an incredible valley. The super-kind owner offered to help us dry our rain-soaked boots so we could tackle day two of the trek. €120 for two for the night, including breakfast and dinner. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful. We'd definitely do it again! The only downside was the bidet leaking from underneath the bathroom door when you turned on the water!

A historic tavern in the heart of the village of Foce di Montemonaco. Although it has lost its rustic, family-friendly feel over the years and has expanded to accommodate an ever-increasing number of diners, it has retained its style and warm welcome. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cuisine is truly excellent, with hearty dishes featuring local produce. On-site, you can also purchase park merchandise, as well as local products such as liqueurs, legumes, cheeses, and handicrafts. The prices are absolutely reasonable. A trusted source for decades.

I'd like to thank the incredibly welcoming and kind staff. It was a wonderful experience as a weekend getaway in the mountains, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I'd particularly like to mention the food, the originality and attention to detail amazed us: the tagliata al tartufo was a transcendental experience, along with the polenta alla carbonara. We can't wait to return.

Very welcoming. Friendly staff. The food was very good, the wooden tray with cured meats and cheeses was excellent, and the ricotta with berry jam was delicious. The wild boar pappardelle was very popular. Pleasant interior decor. Clean bathrooms. In the lobby they have typical products such as honey and other local foods, souvenirs and tourist gadgets.

It seems to be in a world of other times, spectacular place and still very natural, pleasant temperatures. You eat very well first courses with ancient flavors and grilled meats of excellent quality then the menu offers many opportunities. Very kind and professional staff. Really worth trying.

We stayed one night at this refuge in Foce and had a truly wonderful experience. The room for three was comfortable, clean, and welcoming, considering it's a refuge: simple but with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, tasty ingredients that gave us the energy we needed for the day. We also dined at the refuge's restaurant and were very satisfied: the dishes were authentic and well-prepared, with a special mention for the arrosticini, truly excellent! The location is ideal for those wanting to embark on excursions to Lago di Pilato, which can be reached via a beautiful scenic route. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet, welcoming, and authentic base for exploring the Sibillini Mountains.

Wonderful inn from every point of view. Breathtaking location, a valley surrounded by the Sibillini, the refuge is rustic but furnished with care and craftsmanship. The rooms are not very big but they are comfortable, clean and suggestive, there is a bidet and a shower, the WiFi is very fast and considering that in the area there is almost no phone service, it is not a small thing. Breakfast is abundant and with excellent homemade cakes. The cuisine in general is excellent, everything homemade, including cured meats, many ingredients of local excellence. Let's come to the availability of the staff: simply exceptional! They responded with cordiality and competence to all our requests (we made many), attentive to the well-being of the guests and ready to recommend routes and activities to make the most of the stay. Personally I appreciate and agree with the choice to accept animals only in the carrier, those who gave a negative rating for this only demonstrate their own ignorance. Finally, the price is really low, both for the stay and for the food. So I can only say: Bravi! Bravi! Bravi! Not only will I be back, I can't wait to do so.

Incredible location and welcoming atmosphere. Good base to explore the park. It’s an hotel that feels like a rifugio. Good and inexpensive food. You have to book by email or phone. They accept card payment. They have reasonable wifi (no cell service). They were welcoming to us and did their best to communicate in English. They can prepare packed lunch. They have child chair in restaurant. And most of all: no dogs allowed which is great 😉

Siamo stati qui il giorno di Ferragosto con i miei amici, posto particolare in una valle, ristorante carino non male un po' rumoroso poi il proprietario ci ha spostato, ospiti molto maleducati credon…

La prima volta che mi viene vietato di entrare in un ristorante con il mio cane Chiwawa. Mi si chiedeva di tenerlo all'interno del trasportino. Sono stato in parecchi ristoranti, anche stellati ma una cosa del genere MAI. Non ho mangiato e non verrò mai più.

Ho prenotato per due a pranzo all' arrivo con il mio cane 🐶 leggo sulla porta di ingresso che lui non può entrare. Solamente se lo metto dentro al trasportino può entrare. Il mio cane è un border Collie di 20 kg addestrato che hanno fatto entrare dappertutto....meno in questo ristorante di montagna sgarrupato . Chiaramente me ne sono andato immediatamente in un altro ristorante li vicino senza alcun problema per il cane che anzi è stato accolto con il solito entusiasmo da tutti. Quindi possessori di cani sappiate che senza trasportino in questo ristorante a 5 stelle non si entra......pensare che siamo nel 2026

Maybe the food there is good. Maybe. We didn’t try as we couldn’t enter with our small, well behaved dog. Dog or small animals can only enter being put in a cage. Who does hike mountains with a cage ??? It was embarrassing I think as the personnel inside didn’t allow us to have something to eat / have a hot drink despite the fact it was raining and terribly cold outside and we were coming back from Lago Pilato hike on 19 May 2023. This is not a refuge and this is not a place run by kind people. We decided to leave immediately and I will not be back there no matter what. The soup is €9 and they call themselves a refuge ??? Sorry but out of principles. I have been travelling around Italy for the last 3 months and nowhere else was refused to enter with my dog. Definition of refuge in Italian : rifugio /ri·fù·gio/ sostantivo maschile 1.
