Go now because as soon as it's discovered, it's going to get bizzzzy! Excellent food. Super friendly atmosphere. The waiter, Shawn D., took great care of us. We used to go to a different place for our family birthday dinners. This will be our place now!

My wife wanted seafood for her birthday dinner and Grab A Crab at Monterey Park did not disappoint. The music and win a crab token game made for a light and fun vibe. Our waiter Adrian provided excellent service with his helpful advice and upbeat attitude. I'll definitely be recommending grab a crab to anyone craving a affordable seafood experience that lives up to the hype.

The food was delicious, Christine was very friendly and responsive, and I was very satisfied with the overall experience!

From the moment we sat down, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and quick. They handed us a token for the claw machine, it lets you win a plush toy which you can either keep as a souvenir or trade in for an extra food item. It was so fun! ​The portions here are huge! Come hungry, because you will leave stuffed. We dove into the Seafood Boil, and I can confidently say it was the best I have ever tasted. Every bite is well seasoned. ​If you are looking for a place where the food is 🔝🔝, this is a must-visit spot.

As fans of seafood boils, my sister & I instantly chose to meet here for lunch. We like this location due to the huge free parking lot underground & that we didn't have to wait for a weekend to enjoy a lunch boil! We went on a Monday & we were the 1st ones there, so there was no rush playing the claw machine with the free token they give to try for free food. We got the combo for 2 for the great price of $45.95, for all you get, that is a bargain & everything was delicious & no skimping on anything. The service was good too, I forgot the waitresses names because my review is late, but they kept checking in on us & talked about the place with us. Saw a couple of to-go orders, so that is something to do if you don't have time to sit & enjoy & lick your fingers (they also have a box of gloves). We look forward to returning to try more items with a bigger group, so stock up those plushies in the claw machine.

First time at Grab A Crab and I would say it was a great experience. The staff was the best. Angel and Jose helped us with ordering and checked in throughout our meal to ensure that everything met out expectations. The menu has so many options but we opted for the 45.95 combo which includes two boils, two sides and a fried item. We opted for the shrimp as well as the gumbo and onion rings as well as the fried fish. Everything was so good! Since we were there during their Happy Hour, they also have specials going on too. What makes them special is there claw game that allows you to potentially win stuffed animals that are tradable for food items. The game was challenging for us but we saw other customers with greater skill than us. Either way a fun experience. Parking is easy with the underground lot and there wasn't a wait during the early evening time that we went.

Adrian is a great waiter! He’s patient and thorough. I found this place on Instagram and thought my kids would enjoy it. This place did not disappoint. The claw machine is super fun.

I won a free pound of shrimp from their pop up. Saw a customer got a labubu from the claw machine, I’m so jealous 😆 I redeemed my reward last weekend. We ordered combo for 4 with medium spicy and the portion was huge. The food was amazing , very garlicky, not too salty or spicy. We also enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. They had the special scratch card game for Father’s Day and we loved the claw machine. I hope they will have another Labubu game soon. Will definitely come back!

Just opened in Monterey Park! Plenty of open seating inside. Order at the counter then seat yourself. All the workers were extremely friendly and inviting. Can’t wait to try this place out. Parking underground, enter on Atlantic or Hellman. Restaurant faces Atlantic, can’t miss it. And there’s a cool arcade machine that lets you win prizes and food.

I’ve been to the Grab a Crab 3 times so far. I will give a summary review of each experience. The first visit was by chance the wife and I were looking for a late dinner option and thought we’d give it a try. The joint is rowdy, and full of young folks getting their late night grub on and we were seated just past 21:00 hours. The place had only 6 months prior. We ordered the Combo for 2 at $45.95 that comes with 4 boilings, 2 sides, and 2 fried. To our surprise, the seafood quality was good and fresh compared to similar seafood boil joints. The shrimp was plump and juicy, whereas many other joints it would be rubbery, soggy and even a mealy texture that flakes apart. They also have a deveined option for those who it unpalatable. We ordered the house sauce which combines Cajun, lemon pepper and garlic butter but asked for it on the side so the flavor wouldn’t overwhelm the seafood, to easier check for seafood quality, and it was quite satisfactory. Our side of gumbo came cold, but the server immediately offered us an additional bowl that was heated properly, allowing us to take the cold gumbo home. The fried oysters were plump and delicious, lightly battered, not overly salty. All in all, the experience was wonderful for the price point. Our only complaint was the house sauce itself is quite salty. Our second visit the service staff recognized me and took care of us right away since I went with my elderly mother and godmother. We opted for the lemon pepper sauce for our boil and chose the shrimp, snow crab legs, and mussels. Once again, everything felt fresh and juicy, although once again the lemon pepper option was also a tad salty, but lighter than the house sauce. Afterall, the restaurant needs to make up revenue with hefty drink bills! On my third visit I went with a larger group of cousins and we ordered multiple combos. Once again the ingredients were of quality, and my choice of garlic butter option really enhanced the natural seafood flavors. Service is still excellent despite the place still rowdy, and the long wait for a table is still worth it. We are already planning a cousin and friend hang out again soon at this place. Hope they keep up the quality!

Angel and Ahrian were very efficient and helpful the best customer service from both servers. The food was amazing best shrimp in Monterey Park. Very clean environment also my kids enjoyed the claw machine. I most definitely will recommend friends and family to come and eat here.

Standard practice is to calculate gratuity based on the pre-tax subtotal -- anything else feels cheating. The tipping option starts at 18%—what a joke!

This place is the WORST on making sure your order is complete & accurate when taking it home. Always double check everything you paid for it’s inside the bag! They constantly mess up! You call and they just say “sorry will replace it “ get it together so things like this don’t happen! Double check ORDER people!
