I love this place. Went for lunch after blueberry picking. The hostess was so nice as we chatted on our way to our table. I have a thing for fish tacos and their fish tacos are now my favorite. When they came out I thought they looked boring but then I bit into them. Wow! Amazing flavor!!!!

Love the atmosphere here! Great wine selection. This small Texas town bistro is like a little bit of Italy has been carved out and planted right into the downtown area of Montgomery, Texas. The menu is diverse enough that there is something for everyone. Outdoor patio is relaxing, but not boring. Music is wonderful, upbeat background tunes (think Italy) that don't overtake your conversation. I'm coming back tomorrow for dinner. Tonight was just a little wine night, a sneak peak. Looking forward to tasting the chef's creations!

We are staying at the Caroline House bed and breakfast. The owner Mary had recommended we go here for dinner. She even handed us a 10% discount card that the restaurant has made for her guests. The fact it's right down the block from where we are staying was a huge plus. The restaurant has plenty of free parking, plus indoor and outdoor seating. They have a bar on the second floor that stays open later than the kitchen. We sat inside on the first floor. The second we walked in the ambiance hit us. With music, low lights, dark colors and the art on the walls I immediately said to myself "I love this" We were greeted and asked where we would like to sit(inside,outside,bar). Once seated we were given menus and asked if we wanted water or drinks etc. We placed our drink order and started to read the menu. They have specials on certain nights and one of them is the chicken Romano. The description had me sold. We also ordered a few appetizers. Appetizers Cozy Mac n cheese (without onions) Escargot Cheese board Olive tamponade For entrees we ordered Lamb shank Chicken Romano Every single item we ordered was delicious. I spread the Tamponade on the bread and then added some of the goat cheese from the cheese board and instant happiness was found at my first bite. The Escargot was very delicious and prepared the way I like it 🙌🙌. The Mac n cheese with bacon had a smokey flavor and the pasta was perfectly cooked! I was truly enjoying picking from every plate. When the entrees arrived we packed the starters up to take home(plenty left over) the lamb was so tender and had such a robust flavor. Like stew that had been slow cooked for hours. The chicken served with artichoke and a white cream sauce was absolutely perfect. I can't even describe the taste because there is so much going on that I just ate it in silence (smiling). The servers were very attentive, and made no mistakes with any modifications or dishes we ordered. They were also very very polite. Each one saying Ma'am in their replies. I will definitely go back before this trip is over. If you live near by or even an hour away..definitely make the trip to Montgomery and eat here!!. The pictures make the dishes look very basic, but the flavor of each dish is above and beyond!!! This place is 100% great for romantic dates.

The cute & cozy front entrance belies the fancier dining area inside. Not too fancy yet enough to hint at the menu to come. We sat on the back patio, which was airy, roomy, lovely. We enjoyed a red wine flight and black olive tapenade as we waited for our main entrees. Loved them! Both the grilled shrimp and tuna meals were delicious. Will definitely go back!

Two soups were delicious. Tostadas were laughably plain and embarrassing to serve. An 8-year-old could have made those tostadas. Creme Broulee was average. Service was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Stopped by for lunch as first time visitors. Had the gourmet shrimp tacos which were excellent. Wifey had chicken salad sandwich on croissant along with roasted jalapeno soup which were both excellent. Both items were on lunch special for an amazing $9.00. Outstanding service and my only critical comment is the unusually high noise level. All in all this is definitely a recommend.

Stopped in for dinner during a work retreat and was not disappointed. The hospitality was wonderful, the atmosphere was casual/laid back, menu selections broad, and the palette was delightful! Will definitely come back. (Be warned-masks are not required)

Food was good. I ordered a flight of wine and wasn't told until I asked that it wasn't going to be possible, because the bar was "chaos." Just a glass would have been great. They did acknowledge the mistake and brought a piece of cheesecake for dessert, but we were seated below a camera, so they may have seen me start to post review. We would be willing to try again sometime, but will make sure to make a reservation for a time that is not so busy.

I'm 40, went with my mom for dinner on a weeknight a couple months ago. Wasn't busy, food came quick. Everything was bland. Server, while decent, wasn't aware of certain things - like refilling drinks, checking on us after a few bites, etc. The hostess seemed like the manager and was terse, not warm. The green beans were undercooked (yuck) and everything else was under seasoned and just meh (especially for the price). The worst part of our experience was that at least one of the owners, an older white man, was sitting across the dining room with some buddies or colleagues drinking and talking loudly. It was annoying, we learned that one of them was the owner. Then a few slurs about brown people (of whom there are many in the kitchen) were said outloud - and loud enough for us across the dining room to hear. It made my stomach drop. By the end of our meal it was just us and them in the main area of the dining room - I'm sure they didn't even notice us, patrons, aware of their too-loud-we-own-this-place conversation. It was off-putting. I've worked in many restaurants where the owners/managers drink and chat at the end of the night - but they always do it away from patrons. This just seemed like owners that are WAY too comfortable and not taking their business seriously - while the food and service were both subpar - and they were probably drinking and eating "on the house". Not the place I want to give my money and business to.

I have never eaten at a restaurant where canned chicken breast was served in a chicken enchilada. It was not good. I hope you will consider this in the future when you prepare chicken enchiladas. The chicken was dry and had no taste. I've eaten there before and recommended it to my friends that were with me. Also, it took 15 or 20 minutes for the waiter to bring my change. He said he had to wait for his manager. Unacceptable.

Pay attention to the bad reviews as The Cozy Grape has earned every one of them. As the food and drinks were ok, our waitress was great but the hostess / possibly manger was incredibly rude. At first she was very pleasant but that changed quickly. My wife and I were enjoying some well deserved us time, order cocktails, two drinks but we were not fast enough for the hostess. We had been there an hour when she came to our table and said she was placing our order because there was a 2 hour time limit. Keep in mind we were one of only 3 tables in the dining room. A table near us when leaving said to us “ I would not put up with that” and we didn’t. Got the tab and tip over 20% as the waitress earned it. When leaving I realized I had forgotten our umbrella and went back to retrieve it. The hostess had locked the door! Obviously she has had unsatisfied customers before. I spent 25 years in the restaurant business (never fast food) front of house and back and never even heard of that type of rudeness occurring. Please don’t spend your hard earned money at this establishment.

WOWEEE rudest customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I say customer experience because we were planning on going to have wine and food inside after a photo shoot. Unfortunately as we walked to the cars afterwards a man claiming to be the owner starts screaming at us because we parked our cars at his restaurant. The man followed us and filmed us yelling insults. Way to be hospitable to almost paying customer. Great way to drive customers away from an already dying business.

My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner. She had been here for lunch once before and liked it. She has a service dog, and it was no issue the last time. This time, however, the host didn't have an issue but then was stopped again by Management. He then gave us an issue because he wasn't on a leash. He was in his bag like always. We do this because some people don't like the animals in the open. If they shake, dander does float around. He has all of his tags, paperwork, etc... and this has never been a problem with any of our local spots. We own two customer service oriented businesses, and I assure you that this would have never happened in this manner. Our money will spend very well elsewhere.

Who doesn't carry ranch? $11.50 for a grilled cheese at lunch? This place is ridiculous. And I just found hair baked onto my fry, reported it to the wait staff, and they were gonna let the manager know, and she took 15 minutes to come and address the issue... just do better.
