Yo' Mama's Pit BBQ

Real bbq place. Ribs and brisket were juicy and tender. Rubs and sauce were so good. Deff a good family owned business. Would go back! We got dessert too but need to digest some until we get into those!

Absolutely delicious BBQ! We got the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket plate! Portion size was EXCELLENT, and taste was 10/10! We tried the mac & cheese and tots for sides and both were great! Ken, the owner is wonderful, he took the time to check on us and chat! It was a great experience and we can’t wait to come back! I’ll be dreaming about that pulled pork!

The owner and his employee were extremely pleasant and attentive for my TO GO order. It was definitely worth the drive and the flavor definitely reminded me of family recipes for beans and potato salad.

Hands down probably the best tasting brisket I’ve ever had. I got the baked potato, seasoned to perfection, this is the only potato I can enjoy without smothering it in barbecue sauce

We got two rib plates, one with beans and potato salad, one with Mac and cheese and tater tots. The ribs are full of flavor! All of the sides we tried were also delicious.

If this ain't yo mama's stop for getting her bar-b-que fixation, then she is MISSING OUT! I was just passing through town for a job, and the sign caught my eye. I was baited well. Had to stop and make my order. Little wait for my order and service (no problem). I've learned the best things come to those... you get it. Ordered up the sausage link, beans, and pork slider(pull pork sandwich). Delicious!!! Turn your gaze to this one and stop for a good eatin' !!!

They had good pork ribs and brisket, but the sausage was dry and not very flavorful. I wasn’t particularly that impressed with the flavor of side items (potato salad and beans) that came with the meal. Overall, the meats were good and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I ordered the combo plate which came with white bread, baked beans, a cold mash of sorts (possibly a sloppy potato salad?), brisket and ribs. The ribs were good and the brisket had a good taste to it but was a bit tough. The beans were OK and the mash(?) was left in the box…

After reading the great reviews, we decided to grab some takeout on the way home from hiking in the forest. Ordered by the pound to go. 1 pound of beef, rack of ribs, and a whole link. Ribs were good. Link okay... could have been better quality. But the beef..... I expected sliced and resemblance of a smoke ring. Instead it was more like a hacked up fatty end of a brisket. Just expected more and a properly sliced brisket. Service was a little slow. Employees not wearing masks properly.

Update: Got some sausage today and it was pretty darn dry. I waited 20 mins for my order and then some for extra sauce even though I was the only one there. Bad customer service. Person walking in and out of kitchen makes me wonder how hygienic this place might not be... Sadly. Awesome BBQ! Brisket smoked to perfection! Wish I lived closer to enjoy it for takeout more often. Def my go to now before heading to the brewery. Young girls are working the counter so bring some time because service is veryyy slooow. And don't bother calling it in ahead of time...

Love local restaurants, but this one was a bummer. Staff was very kind and professional. For being a shack, I did have high expectations. Ribs were tender, and taste was okay. Brisket was alright, lacking in seasoning, nothing to write home about. Sides were definitely lacking in flavor, very bland. I would not recommend this place for good BBQ.

I'm almost 100% sure the food was microwaved, judging off the random hot and cold spots peppered across. Speaking of pepper - seasoning. Everyone in the kitchen must be allergic to seasoning seeing as they avoided using it. I ordered the brisket, sausage, and beans. One time, as a young lad, I was riding through the forest on my bicycle. I hit a bump and found myself thrust head-first into a tree that left me with a mouthful of the dryest bark that ever barked... THAT was more moist than the brisket these folks served me. I can't even talk about the beans and sausage because I'm about to have an aneurysm trying to describe how bad it tasted. If you roll by and see the smoker outside going, don't be fooled. It's a psychological operation to lull you into a false sense of security so they can attack your taste buds with the culinary equivalent to a war crime. I don't care if you're gonna cut corners and feed me food you didn't make from scratch. I don't care if your building is falling apart and being held up with hopes and dreams. I don't even care if the only other customers in there are the swarm of flies hovering over your dirty, dusty, rusty tables. But when you charge me $25 for it and expect a tip on top, my only tip to you is reevaluate what you're doing with life. Oh, and take down the sign that reads "Best BBQ"... we're just lying to ourselves at this point. Cashier girl was sweet and kind
