Amazing food, awesome one of a kind BBQ sauce, wonderful atmosphere- friendly staff. I’ll be making a stop here everytime I come through Mt. Vernon!! Love this place!!

I always get the baked potato loaded with everything including brisket. It's huge and at a great price! The people here are the most friendly around. I love the atmosphere! Wish I could give more stars!!!!

Absolutely fantastic rib plate!! Much better than the Cotton Belt BBQ place at Dukes. The ribs are fat and the fixing are right on point.

My husband loved the hot links and brisket! Our son demolished his mac and cheese and 2 pieces of Texas toast. I had the rib plate with yummy potato salad. We shared the peach cobbler with ice cream!!

8/31/24 Super friendly service from everyone I encountered inside the store and very welcoming. As a truck driver, I really appreciate the spacious truck parking area. The Loves and TA Just down the street are packed, noisy and chaotic.... and I'm sitting down here at the BBQ Corral all alone with total peace and quiet and a belly full of tasty pulled pork and sliced brisket. 😋 WINNING!! 👍😁

Stopped by on my way to the lake. So much meat!! My loaded baked potato was full!!

The super stuffed tater is awesome. The decor and quick service make this place superb. Oh and one of the only few places that still have a smoking section.

Eating here was a great experience. It has a home town feel and a great taste. The flavor of the meat has such a smoked flavor you will have to try it yourself. I would recommend them to anyone.

I really appreciate the atmosphere of this restaurant. It has many years of memories posted on every wall. The people are friendly and the food is cooked with years of experience behind it.

The food was delicious! I got the brisket, chicken, cowboy beans, and mac and cheese. Everything was very good and well seasoned. I’m glad I found this place I will definitely be back!

It was freezing cold outside, so nobody was there. Even so they served up great brisket and Ribs, my side was a baked potatoe. Loaded with butter, chives, cheese and bacon.

Today I had the BEST ribs, brisket tacos, and sausage I’ve ever had. I’ve been here several times when passing through and always love it, but today I feel lucky to have eaten this food! The ribs were seasoned incredibly and were ridiculously tender and delicious. WOW! My coworker and I traded a brisket taco for a rib with each other so we could try more. The brisket was tender and savory and still had incredible flavor even with all the delicious toppings. I always get the bbq beans- so good! This was the first time I got the LBJ salad- I will definitely get it again. I can’t recommend this incredible place enough. I love this place!

Driving thru TX en route from NYC to NM. Stopped by after a long 8hr drive from TN. The ribs are bar-none. The rub they use tickles every single sense from first bite to last swallow. That spud with all the fixins was unlike any I ever had before. All the sides are insane, we loved the green beans and cowboy beans the most. Last but not the least, that vinegar BBQ sauce cuts thru every single hint of savory for the perfect balance in every bite.

Some of the best tasting brisket I've had in quite a while. We had the brisket baked potato, it was loaded and the Frito pie, delicious!! Looking forward to my next visit. Love the homey atmosphere.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Perfectly smoked brisket and the sausage was amazing. I ordered the Big Tex, two meats on Texas Toast. Y'all... It's worth the stop and then some. My buddy had the two meat plate, same meats and he agreed it was all spectacular. It's a homey atmosphere, a little bit old diner, a little bit your uncle Steve who lives in the country. Lots of animal heads on the wall, but if you're stopping here you're not a vegan anyways. We also had banana pudding that tastes like your aunt Linda made it this morning. Oh and the tea was great too, brewed strong enough to know it's tea and sweet enough for a Texan adult. And the portions, I've got a belly but I left full.

Truck parking !!! Good TX BBQ. Best baked potato ever. Brisket was perfect. Amazing smoked sausage. Portions were huge. Coleslaw like Mama made. Turkey is a processed lunch meat style, but the smoke flavor was amazing, and on a sandwich, it works perfectly. People are nice and friendly. IF you take the time to smile and talk with them !!

I had the brisket sandwich and a baked potato. To say that everything was on point would be an understatement. Delicious. The baked potato was huge, steaming hot, and tasted really good. It pretty much is how the other reviewers mention. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

The ribs do not fall off the bone but they are well cooked but you will need to add Barbecue on top as it does not appear they are seasoned in brine. They have a brisket taco that was very good as well. The brisket itself falls apart when you try to Fork to eat it. A literal ice cream scoop a butter was placed on the corn. Overall, highly recommended for a good barbecue meal.

The barbecue here is so good! De occasionally close early because they ran out of food. But most barbecue places are like that so I won't fault them for it! Really great place and kind people.

I’m upset I didn’t take a picture of the food the brisket was really good but the sausage was dry. The potato salad tasted like it had capers which had an interesting taste. When we walked in they just stared at us… not one single hello felt very uncomfortable. We were hungry and passing by not even from around there but wouldn’t recommend. Almost feels like they’re only open for their friends and family and not to the public. I’d advise them to work on their customer service.

Not sure how this place got the high rating. I only come once, prices where fine people friendly but the foods all so bland and tasteless. And I mean tasteless everything. Meats sides everything. Sliced bread was fine.

Ribs were terrible not much meat and gave me the dry roasted end rib and only gave me two bones on a two meat dinner and they were huge bones when they had smaller ones. This is the second time I ordered them the first time I ordered them the owner wouldn’t sell them to me cuz he knew they were over cooked was some young girl tonight. Brisket was kinda tough and dry and she didn’t know how to slice it. Beans were good but too hot. I had forgotten how terrible their potato salad is bread was good. The best thing I’ve ever had there was a chopped beef baked potato. Net net they do not know BBQ!

They close early! I never catch them before they close at 7pm but today was perfect! I'd be there at 5:45pm on a Thursday and guess what? They're closed! Do yourself a favor and head down to Cotton Belt BBQ, they stay open late and have amazing BBQ! I used to have Texas BBQ Corral on my "want to visit list" but they just got removed. I'll be going to Cotton Belt from here on.

Brisket was very over cooked and dry. I spent $64 and my family would not eat the Brisket.

Brisket was overcooked and dry!!!!!! Jalepeno Sausage 5/10 Turkey 2/10 Ham 2/10 Macaroni 2/10 Pecan Pie 3/10 . This place has clean restrooms and overall a clean facility.

Who ever heard of A1 as a BBq sauce My only complaint which is huge considering the sauce and meat is what makes it a bbq place in the first place so no absolutely not ever eating here again unless they get real bbq sauce yall should be ashamed to even serve it as bbq food
