We go early, so the service is especially fast. I could live on the nachos. We had a family gathering of eight people about a months ago and every dish ordered was excellent. Really a sports Mexican place (TVs everywhere) but you can turn that off visually - I do and just eat those nachos!

From the quesadillas to the enojocados, everything is extremely flavorful and tastes authentic. I love the vibe and atmosphere, and the waiters are extremely friendly. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat fresh, phenomenal, authentic Mexican food.

I have been a regular to this place 3 years. Friendly staff and good strong margaritas. The food is good too. They have happy hours now. Luis and Juan(waitresses) are always welcoming and have smiles on the face. The best part is it is dog friendly and you can order chicken for your dog. :)

A very nice place with a family friendly atmosphere! The Moxtil was called out as the best on the menu as it was a wonderful shrimp dish full of flavor. The service was fast and friendly dry and the atmosphere was quiet enough with ample parking. A local family favorite.

This place was really great! I live in San Antonio so I know good Mexican food and this place exceeded my expectations. My chicken fajita skillet really impressed me! Typically I only get sautéed peppers and onions with my fajitas in San Antonio but these came with peppers, onions, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, and some zucchini! Excellent! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the tortillas were really good too. Their free chips and salsa were also very fresh and crispy. I started with a prickly pear margarita then tried the raspberry margarita and they're both really good also. Only $12!! Very happy with this place and I'll probably come back tomorrow night during my visit to the area 😆 They also have a huge selection of tequilas and other liquors with a very friendly and attentive staff.

Agave is my go to Mexican joint well placed on an intersection in Mountain View Downtown. Great food. Great vibes. Great service. The interior of Agave was very cute with a little bar and lots of TVs. Grew ambiance to hang out with friends or for a date. We were first seated by the funniest waiter who had lots of enthusiasm and even joked with us which I enjoyed. He took our orders very fast and our food came very fast as well which was refreshing. The food was kinda expensive but for the portions the prices made sense because of how huge the dishes were. I got the enjococado chicken quesadilla. I learned that the enjococado sauce was the “Grandma’s sauce” passed down! It is super flavorful, creamy, and a bit nutty which was perfect for the crispy salty quesadilla! The chicken in my quesadilla was phenomenal.nit was shredded and had no gamey taste and was incredibly tender which complemented the crispy tortilla perfectly. Overall for the stellar service, food, and ambiance I would definitely recommend Agave to others especially large parties!

The staff was not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations and accommodating our dietary preferences. Their attentiveness to detail and prompt service truly enhanced our overall enjoyment. Now, let's talk about the food. The standout dish for me was undoubtedly the Steak taco. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the tender and juicy steak complemented by a medley of fresh ingredients. Each bite was a burst of culinary delight that left me craving more. The chefs certainly know their craft! Additionally, I decided to substitute the side of rice with a salad, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation. The salad was vibrant, consisting of crisp lettuce, colorful vegetables, and a tangy dressing that added a refreshing twist to the meal. It was the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful steak taco. Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The combination of warm customer service and delectable food left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend there to anyone seeking a delightful culinary by attentive and friendly service.

These blocks of Castro Street are closed to traffic and the streets are filled with tables and chairs. Most of the storefronts are restaurants. Agave is one of the more popular ones for both the food and the drinks. I enjoyed the enchiladas with mole tonight. We'll be back.

Favorite place to get Margaritas, they’re so delicious and strong!! We ordered the queso fundido, enchiladas suizas and ceviche. I was not a fan of the ceviche but everything else was so good! (Even the chips and salsa.) I recommend the hibiscus and strawberry margaritas.

Trying this place after 10 years. The quality has gone down compared to our last experience. The spring roll was good but the sauce could have been better. It was too salty that it overwhelmed other tastes. Pineapple fried rice was good you can’t go wrong with it. Green curry was delicious. I think this was the only place that I could find spicy Thai curry. Overall, good meal, but kinda overpriced.

We have eaten here for years and this is the first time at the new location. This place is half the size of the old location that was across the street. The food is still very good. Mango cashew chicken is a family favorite. Service has room for improvement. They dropped stacks of plates on the center of our table and had us place them, dropped 4 glasses and left at the side of the table, and brought the wrong appetizer by accident, We will still return and hope service is better next time.

The food was delicious I enjoyed the green curry I ordered and the pan-fried noodles. Service: The server was also really attentive to our friends’ nut allergy so I appreciated how they went back to check if the dishes were nut-free. The service can be slow also. We waited a while for our food and they almost missed the last dish we ordered, so expect to wait after you order. Restaurant: The restaurant has plenty of seatings. They have Thai decorations on the wall which is nice to see. It also looks like they have the tables where you sit on the floor, but those were closed when we came. Parking: Parking around downtown Mountain View’s not bad. We just parked in one of the lots nearby.

The food was really delicious but I am giving four stars because they gave us small dish and it was hard for us to eat in small dish. Apart from this the overall quality of food was awesome and the service was also good. Along with it they also helped us by keeping the cake in refrigerator as went to celebrate one of friends birthday. Fried rice , spring roll, pranthey and chutney and special salad was too good but the quantity was less as per price. I am definitely going there again!!

A great Thai place to eat with friends! The Tom ka soup is pretty good! I ordered with seafood. Curry is a bit salty but I guess you need to eat it with lots of rices, crab fried rice is my favorite! I had it twice but first time is better than second I guess. Still enjoyable

Came for lunch. Tried to skip carb and eat healthier and asked if I can have veggie as replacement. The waitress was flexible and agreed to change it without extra charge. Food came fast. My soup was delicious, although the replaced bean sprouts were scanty. Can't ask for more when they were nice enough to modify for you. Basil chicken and yellow curry chicken were both tasty. Yet the papaya salad was unbearably sour and tasted terrible, it also had fishy smell. I've never had papaya salad this bad. The recipe was a disaster. Service was very nice. Staff was polite and attentive. Would probably come back to try other dishes.

Good authentic Thai food. Friendly staff. Nice ambience. A bit pricey but well worth the tasty fare they serve. Some tables offer great view of the street and you watch the world stroll by.

Good comfort food in a nice big space. Mole Burrito was good but not as much as Vive Sol. Margarita was not that strong. Service was good. The played quiet music making it suitable to talk.

Went on a Sunday night — the restaurant was empty. Service was fast, but unfortunately, the food and drinks were pretty average. I ordered the guava jalapeño margarita, but it had little to no guava or jalapeño flavor. On the food side, they do offer a good number of vegetarian dishes. We ordered the veggie fajitas, and I was super disappointed. The veggies were absolutely bland and lacked any spices — it seriously felt like frozen mixed veggies microwaved and thrown on a sizzling plate. No spices, no flavor. You can literally see it in the photo I took. Wouldn't recommend this place for vegetarians, flavor-wise, it didn't work for me.

This place has great cocktails. Food was quite good too. The place is very lively and has great vibes. The indoor bar/restaurant has many screen playing various sports channels. Among the margaritas, if you like tamarind’s sour, sweet and sharp flavor - Tamarindo margarita is highly recommended. The food portions are quite generous. Like most Mexican restaurants, they serve free nachos and salsa for the table. They have various seating options: indoor, outdoor and patio seating at the back.

Great Mexican restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale serving authentic Mexican cuisine but what really stands out are the drinks. The margaritas are authentic, delicious, and unique. Plenty of outdoor seating on Castro Street. [The Food] The food here is great for a Mexican restaurant. Competition is tough in the Bay Area, but I would give them a 8/10 for the food. It tastes real, but a little lacking in uniqueness and flavor. However, still very good. The prices are fair for the Bay Area. [The Drinks] We frequently come here just for the drinks. They have Margaritas that don't taste watered down or artificial with a ton of sugar. I feel like they use real fruit, good tequila, and put care into their recipes. We were really impressed. They have these spicy margaritas which are amazing. One of them, they roast the Jalapeno's beforehand giving the drink a smoky flavor. The Guava Margarita is probably their best drink. Definitely worth stopping by and getting drunk here! [The Location] Location here is right on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View, near the train station. They have lots of outdoor seating, restrooms available for customers, and fast service. I never felt like I was too close to anyone, and the sunshine was really nice. Overall, a good Mexican restaurant with an amazing bar. Probably the best margaritas in the South Bay. Worth a visit.

Good authentic food mostly, curry etc a bit over seasoned . Also note that extra sauce for ROTI seems like an extra charge of $7. Also the bill was given to me without showing the specific price for each item. Just wishing more honesty on this. The point is mostly deducted for this.

It wasn't clear when we came in what we needed to do since there was no host/hostess so we tried to flag down the bartender to ask for seating. They told us we could sit anywhere so we picked a table near the front. They didn't bring out any water for us so after about 10 minutes, we asked to have some (after we placed our order). We ordered some queso fondito, shrimp tacos and shrimp enchiladas and the dropped off some chips and salsa (red and green). The queso was a lot thicker than I'm used to and almost seemed to go solid after being on the table for about 5 minutes. Noticed that the cast iron plate it was served in wasn't hot at all so that likely caused it to not stay more liquid. The tacos were alright but the enchiladas just had shrimp in them with some cheese on top. Was expecting some type of sauce they'd come with or be soaked in. Overall, the best thing we had here were the chips and red salsa. Not sure I'll be back.

Good food, but quite expensive. Quiet during lunches, gets busy during dinners. Came here on a Friday for lunch and there were only 2 other tables. Nice spot for a quiet, quick lunch. With so many food trucks and Mexican spots around the bay area in general, not sure I'd come back to pay this price. While the burrito I got was good, I could get multiple elsewhere with the $20+ I paid. This spot is passable.

The chips and salsa that comes with the table was pretty good. We ended up adding the guacamole but it was only okay. The chicken enchiladas were good. I would consider going back but there are a lot of good places off Castro.

Food lacked flavor. Chicken satay and papaya salad was good. Fresh rolls and crab fried rice were average at best. Pranag chicken curry was the worst. Had big chunks of chicken with two three pieces of bell pepper. Curry was tasteless and whole dish looked unappetizing. Won’t be visiting again

Unfortunately service fell far short of even decent. Both waiters were rude and short with a 10+ minute delay to take our order and 30+ minutes to receive food. Drink refills were nonexistent. When it came time to pay the bill, we were told when we were given the check that the bill could only be split two ways. There were 6 of us that sat down and we informed the waiter we would all be separate checks and there was nothing said. We paid via handheld PoS system which could easily separate the checks. I understand it takes a few more minutes of the waiter’s time to split the checks, but that is compensated by mandatory pay and optional tips. On the positive side, the food was fantastic, with great taste and really solid portions. This unfortunately does not overcome the service issues. With all the other options in Mountain View, I would look elsewhere.

Bad service, our server was kind of rude. Food tasted different. We ordered Sabana de Arrachera, and the chorizo tasted like it was cooked with weeks old oil. Ordered Huixilopotzly with Asada and it was a RIP off. $28.00 for a 4oz piece of steak that was so dry. Chips were home made but way too oily.
