This store is great in some ways, and not so great in others. I know this sounds ridiculous, yet one main reason I renewed my membership was because the gas and the snack bar pizza. On my last visit, a few weeks ago: 1) the gas was showing a lower price in the store lit sign, but different at the pump. 2) the pizza was previously really good. But, now, it is the worst pizza I’ve ever had. We bought a whole, freshly baked cheese pizza and it was lousy. The dough was really texturally strange and bland, and the sauce tastes like meat juice in it… in a bad way. We had to throw mostly all of it away. Very disappointed. Never getting it again and won’t renew. Please go back to making a real and good pizza.

Based on my experience, Sam's Club is a great choice for a warehouse club membership, especially for those who find Costco's massive quantities overwhelming. The membership fee is very similar to Costco's, but Sam's Club's slightly lower starting price is a nice perk. The biggest advantage of Sam's Club is its more flexible package sizes. As a small family, I find that Costco's bulk products often lead to food waste and storage issues. Sam's Club offers a much better balance, allowing you to save money by buying in bulk without needing an entire pantry to store your purchases. When it comes to products, Sam's Club provides a lot of variety with many options for a single item, which is a departure from Costco's more curated selection. However, the quality is where the comparison becomes tricky. While Sam's Club's Member's Mark brand has improved, it doesn't quite have the consistent, premium feel of Costco's Kirkland Signature. Still, Sam's Club products are a noticeable step up from what you'd typically find at a standard Walmart. The major downside is customer service. There is simply no comparison to Costco's excellent support. My attempts to get help from Sam's Club's online chat and phone representatives have been frustrating; they often seem unconcerned and unhelpful, making it a difficult and time-consuming process to resolve issues.

AWESOME CAFE & BAKERY MUFFINS! My Mom and I are new Sam's Club members and we are so pumped about the cafe perks. Where else will you be able to purchase an 89 cent icee?? Oh, and a whole pizza under $9 bucks, wow! We tried the hot dogs, pizza, & drinks and it's safe to say we enjoyed all of our snacks. We immediately got our money's worth out of our membership with the cafe! My Mom got a deal for a discounted membership so we are paying a lower rate for a year. Next year, our membership will be $50 for the basic pass. On our first trip, we tried getting physical membership cards but they were all out for the day! Guess our digital cards on our phones will do the trick. My family and I explored this Murrieta location and we were neutral on the experience. Overall, they had plenty of clothes for kids and plus-sized customers. Other than that, I didn't spot any good clothes, especially not for men. I can tell they cater to older white dudes at this store lol (they literally had beer across from the dad bod clothing line). I only spotted polos, Dad shorts, and goofy flip flops. We need better selection for a younger crowd! I DID appreciate the $29 sketcher sandals (the only bright spot). They had good deals on camping gear and jewelry, some items for bulk meals were decent. I liked their english muffin double packs and large popcorn bags! If you're looking for grab-n-go dinners they have pre-prepared meals like enchiladas (that only need to be warmed up) and hot rotisserie chicken. The chicken here is a steal, it's more affordable than Walmart. Checkout was simple, all you have to do is walk up to a self-checkout kiosk and scan your member card before scanning your items. I was done within 2 mins. The store is very convenient, something I really enjoyed! BIG shoutout to the greeter at the front, she was a younger employee who had excellent manners!

Love the fact that I can use scan 2 go when I buy my things at Sam’s Club. However-customer service at this location is a nightmare. Employees are impolite. Will probably start going to Costco for better service I guess.

First time here getting a membership. We shopped and there's stuff different from Costco. Some good some bad. I definitely love the pizza here better than Costco, and the sea salt milk chocolate caramel thingies. What I didn't like, is when we were there on 1/3/2024 around 5p.m. ish ....There was no rotisserie chicken, which I understand they go fast. But there were a few customers asking about them, and I think the guy was rushing... The chickens came out.... And when we got home this is what we got ... Not a good first time experience... But we'll give it another shot....

Their customer service sucks! You call and they immediately put you on hold, and they never get back to you. You call again and they do the same. Do better Sam’s. To Costco I go :)

Getting you guys on the phone is impossible. Your phone ring for soo long and after a while you finally answer and put me on hold. By the time you guys answer im already at the store. I was hoping to get some information before I got there. And on top of that you only have one girl working the membership service and a line thats almost out the door? Do better. Because all I see is employees on the floor talking and laughing and not helping make the lines at membership service go down.

WARNING Due to my experience with Sam’s Club, I would never use their online ordering in the future. I placed an order on January 3 Sam’s Club canceled my order and now they are refusing to refund me,in the past I have had issues with my order when they take forever to bring it out, Product is damaged or missing. I never made a big deal about my items missing because they have been good about refunding me on my items. This last experience has led me to feel that Sam’s Club is not competent enough to for fill orders nor provide good customer service. The person who provided customer service was very hard to understand, not to mention she had an attitude and was really no help at all. Think twice before ordering online, I would hate for someone else to go through the frustrations that I’m having to go through.

Worse customer service ever! Long lines and rude service members. Second time cashier forgot to ring something up and then they wanted me to get back in line! Can never find someone to help and when you do they can’t answer the questions. Never had this problem with any other Sam’s Club ever. Do not come unless you want to leave with a headache! Called the store multiple time was placed on hold for over and hour and when they finally answer they just hung up.

Don’t do curbside unless you have a LOT of time to kill - Curbside pickup as a mess! They tell you your order is ready then have you wait over an hour. Why tell us our order is ready if it’s still going to take over an hour? Kind of defeats the purpose when I can shop myself faster! Meanwhile the store closes isn 5 mins, let’s see if they even bring the order out tonight.

Every time I do curbside pickup it takes such a long time. Im assuming it’s the need or more employees working the pick up dept. It’s faster just going inside and picking everything yourself and paying with their scan and go

I was trying to call to check to see if the Murrieta location had an item I had seen on a YT channel. I'm not a member but was thinking of becoming one. I called to be put on hold for 40 minutes! Yes, 40 minutes. I was tired of waiting so I called back. They hung up on me!!!! I called again and nobody would answer, and then they hung up again. I guess nobody cares about customer service at this place! They can keep their membership and I will go to Costco instead. Thanks for saving me the trouble. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time on Sam's Club. 😒

Placed a pick up order the morning of 9/30 for same day pick up. After taking my order home I noticed the expiration date on the burger buns were 10/1(the very next day) and after inspecting it, had mold all over. Its very noticeable if you're picking out the bread. I dont understand how hard it is to pick decent food for the customers. When I returned it the next day and let the lady at the counter know it was moldy. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience or even seem like she gave a rats ass about it. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE EXPIRATION ON THE FOOD YOU PICKUP OR GET DELIVERED FROM THIS STORE. ASSOCIATES DONT SEEM TO CARE WHAT YOU GET.

On August 10, 2025, at the Murrieta Hot Springs Sam’s Club, my wife and I had one of the most frustrating and disappointing shopping experiences we’ve ever had. Our order was scheduled for pickup between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. We arrived around 3:00 PM, but couldn’t check in via the app. My pregnant wife went inside to ask about it and was told by an employee that the order was being prepared and would be ready within an hour. We trusted that statement and decided to wait. Nearly three hours later, I went inside to follow up. Instead of finding our order ready, an employee told me that someone had “just started the order” and that it would take another hour. At that point, I told him that would not work, and to cancel the order entirely. We left, frustrated and disappointed. After about a five minute drive home, we got home, I received a text saying the order was ready. This means our order was either close to done while I was standing in the store or could have been finished within minutes, yet instead, we were told to expect another hour and sent away empty-handed. This entire ordeal wasted over three hours of our day, forced us to cancel our other plans, and showed a complete lack of communication, accuracy, and customer care. When an employee tells a pregnant customer “one hour,” it should not mean three hours and a canceled order. If an order is almost ready, you do not send customers away you finish it. This experience left us questioning whether Sam’s Club values its members at all. I hope management addresses this immediately so no one else has to waste their day like we did. I have to say we have been shopping with Sam’s club for years and have never experienced something like this. I had to fight my wife just to keep shopping at Sam’s club because she wanted to go to Costco for the samples now this
