Took my husband for bday dinner last night and the food and service (Michael) was excellent! I'm super picky but there was nothing to complain about. We are pescatarians from RI and hadn't found very good food (unfried) in the area. The place is small but nice decor, very clean and tasty food. Nice relaxing music and great ambience. Their award is definitely deserved.

Hidden gems of Myrtle Beach!! This place is small with a warm atmosphere. The food was delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavor. Service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Perfect spot for a quiet, solo date or intimate dinner. Definitely one of my favorite finds in town!

The reviews for this restaurant set a high bar for our expectations. I was pleased that our expectations were not only met, but exceeded! Friendly staff and pleasant ambiance were the icing on the cake, but the star of the show was definitely the food! Our Arancini was delicious, my Deconstructed Beef Wellington was buttery soft and her NY Strip was cooked perfectly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a fantastic meal at a fair price! ($87 total for all that was pictured)

Delicious dinner at 42nd Street. I enjoyed the Seafood pasta with Shrimp, mussels and scallops. My friend had the Strip Steak with Mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. We had the Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer with the Cherry Manhattans with cherry bitters. This is a great find in Myrtle Beach. About $20 each for dinner, plus cocktails and wine. We had a wonderful dinner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Impressive! The best meat we've had in the US so far. Impeccable service, Chinese food with great seasoning. We will definitely be back. We ordered a deconstructed beef wellington and a fish with quinoa. Both delicious! The place is beautiful and perfect for special thanksgivings.

Was not expecting this to be one of my favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach, but it definitely is. You may drive past this tiny little place, and not even notice its existence. It blends in with all the other stores on the outside, but on the inside a whole other story! It’s beautifully decorated with a cute, quaint bar. Perfect for date night! Make a reservation. The food here is spectacular. I had scallops and my husband had duck. 10/10 our appetizer was good too. I don’t remember the name of it …… but I’ll include a picture. This was a Valentine’s Day to remember!

Very, Very Pleasant Surprise!!! First time at this restaurant and we could not have been more pleased. There were 6 of us and everyone was happy. I had the seafood pasta dish (pic) and loved it…so much seafood. My wife got the filet (pic) and said it was tasty and tender. We shared the chocolate cake which was the best I have ever had. Our server, Michael, provided amazing service throughout. The ambiance is classy and very cool. Prices were reasonable - actually lower than we expected for such a wonderful evening. Wine pours are very nice. Bottom line is this was a Great Find! We live in Murrells Inlet and it is quite a distance but well worth the drive. It made our “Favorites” list and we will be back!

My fiancee and I celebrated our engagement in this restaurant, it was recommended by a friend and it definitely did not dissappoint. Booking a last minute reservation was super easy and on point.It has a very cozy ambiance inside , perfect for a date night.Food and service was top notch, Our server and the owner Jayson went above and beyond with his service, all the staff were very friendly and attentive.All of our appetizers were very good and we ordered steak for entree it was perfectly seasoned and cooked and to top it off Jayson gave us a chocolate cake on the house to celebrate our engagement. I highly recommend this place.Would definitely comeback when i visit Myrtle Beach again.

Wow everything was outstanding I had the shrimp Gyzo dumplings soo such good flavor and texture! She had the beet tar tar. She loved it! She had the duck, it was amazing! Melt in your mouth I had the Wellington! Delicious!!! The raspberry Manhattan was delicious Our waitress, Inana was excellent

Great lighting, jazz music, and excellent service make it the perfect place to take that special someone. Food was incredible. Highly recommend blackened grouper and scallops and white beans.

Quaint upscale restaurant that felt local and definitely has an experienced chef in the kitchen! Everything was amazing from the cocktails to the food! We should have take. A video of the grouper as it was presented!! It was served with a glass dome over it with smoke that smelled so good! The scallops were cooked perfectly too! Michael was our server and very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.

Hey Myrtle Beach! We finally found a restaurant we liked!!! We were very pleased with this find! The price point is reasonable, nicely decorated, clean, the food is good and service from Jayson was great. Very convenient location, ample parking and a 5 star meal! We tried the Halibut and Grouper entrees and I'd highly recommend! Next time we visit Myrtle Beach, we are sure to return.

This was a wonderful experience! We had polenta as an appetizer with warm naan and butter, it was delicious. Our entrees were seafood pasta and a ny strip. The steak was melt in your mouth and the seafood fresh. The ambiance was also great. The service was delightful. This is definitely somewhere I would go again. My partner uses a powerchair and they were accommodating without being condscending. I felt a bit underdressed for how nice it was.

Jason was Wonderful. I took my wife here so we could enjoy her birthday. She was very happy. The food was prepared very well. The salmon was very good. The pork chop was very tasty. The food presentation was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great place for a romantic dinner wife you wife or husband.

Highly recommended. The food is fantastic. Service is superb. We tried the ribeye steak and the seafood pasta. The steak was cooked at the perfect temperature and the seafood servings were generous. We also tried the lemon cake for dessert. Very good indeed.

Every bite we savored was nothing short of extraordinary—truly unforgettable.

The best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We have been here twice and it was a beautiful experience both times. The chef here is inspired and each dish is a work of art. We have had the same server each time. She is friendly and her kind demeanor is a catalyst for us wanting to return.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The food was amazing! This now our favorite place at Myrtle Beach. We were great and treated like family. Our waiter was one of the best I have had. The calamari was some of the best I had. This is must go for an upscale sit down elegant dinner .

Great atmosphere including background music, amazing food, and awesome service! Not your typical "bar and grill" with candlelight tables and cloth napkins! We enjoyed the shrimp gyoza, steak salad and osso buco. Be sure to save room for dessert here - DIVINE!!! salted caramel cheesecake and lemon cake

This place saved my vacation from a food (fish) perspective, as I'm shellfish allergic. There just aren't many restaurants, at least in this part of Myrtle, with GOOD blackened fish (grouper, snapper, etc) and this place delivered... I thoroughly enjoyed my blackened grouper! Great service, wonderful drink options (Manhattan with CHAMBORD in stainless steel martini glass was a great experience) and perfect end to an otherwise lackluster stay off-season in MB.

First off, we were there an hour earlier than our reservation. We sat at the bar for a drink before being seated. Waitress was awesome and super friendly! Gave us bread(shown) as a starter and kept our glasses full! Then, when it was time, she took us to our seats and gave us plenty of time to review menu. We ordered Snapper(shown) and it was absolutely amazing! Their Tiramisu is made in house and it’s incredible! Definitely a place to go. Small, quiet, and romantic. Staff are super polite and professional!

All the food was phenomenal! The snapper was cooked to perfection and the steak was extremely tender and also cooked to perfection. The calamari appetizer was presented very nicely and tasted superb as well. The triple chocolate cake was not too sweet, which made for a very satisfying dessert. After coming to Myrtle Beach for many years, I would highly recommend this place over any restaurant in the area and definitely will return.

My experience here was so phenomenal, I don’t even know where to begin. Do I start with the company, do I start with the staff, do I start with the incredible food? I came to Myrtle Beach for a medical conference and was traveling alone. Whenever I travel I always try to seek out local establishments first to contribute to their community. I tried to couple of places with good reviews, shockingly, where did these people learn to eat? I honestly chose 42nd St. bar and Grill because it was the closest nice place to a performance I was attending after dinner. When possible, I love to sit at the bar/kitchen window, specially if it has a great view of the kitchen, which this does. The first person I met was a delightful Gentlemen I later discovered was the owner John Lombardo. He and the staff were great dinner companions. This restaurant is so warm and welcoming and the staff, if I did not know anything else about the person running this restaurant, I would know they were someone with great character and a genuine kind heart. The staff are so happy and the place had such a sweet positive vibe. I watched John several times treat his staff with kindness and respect. Always asking them please and hearing him thank his staff for their work. He has passed on his culinary knowledge to his head chef which I would put up against any “pro”. That man knows flavor! The whole team was just spectacular! OK now what you’ve all been waiting for, the food: I started with John’s recipe of Oysters Rockefeller. OMGOSH! That was the most magical oyster I have ever eaten in my life! Brilliant flavors! The oyster just melted in my mouth it was so delicious! My next dish was the beet tartare which I highly highly recommend. It’s a very interesting plate, yet beautiful and you wonder, “How are these flavors going to work together, and then they do in the most wonderful way with explosion of flavor in every bite. The stone mustard, do yummy! My entrée was a deconstructed beef Wellington. I have never had a beef Wellington. I know what they look like but I’m not sure what they’re supposed to taste like. I can tell you this, that was the most delicious sirloin I had ever ate. It was so tender I almost thought I was eating a fillet. I took dessert home with me. They offered five or six different desserts. The only two desserts they make in house are the tiramisu and John’s great great grandmothers Italian rainbow cake. Just stop right there don’t order anything else because you can get Italian rainbow cake anywhere but you can not get John’s great great grandmother‘s rainbow Italian cake anywhere. I would love to take this whole cake home with me it was that good. The best Italian rainbow cake I’ve ever had. If you’re going to Myrtle Beach please please do yourself a favor come in and enjoy this restaurant you will not be sorry. I know I can’t wait to return next year.

Quaint, cozy and Romantic style dining. Overall, Amazing dining experience with great quality food and outstanding service. We were very pleased and impressed with this restaurant and menu options. Will definitely try it again.

Hidden gem. Don't let the name fool you, this is not your average neighborhood bar and grill. Small, cozy, upscale, great service, incredible food. Made a reservation for a Tuesday date night to try the place out. Our server Bill was fantastic! Very friendly, great timing, personable. The food was perfectly executed and presented. The price for our experience tonight was unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Made reservations for valentine's day dinner. Our first time did not disappoint. Next time I think I'll order the ribeye - I got the pork which was tasty but my GFs ribeye was cooked perfectly. All the servers were very nice also.

This has got to be the best little gem in the Myrtle beach area. Small but great ambiance. The food is amazing (try the red snapper or the duck). We have never had anything less than amazing service and food here. One of the best at the beach.

We just had a amazing dinner at 42nd Street. Beautiful inside! So classy. Our server Donna was so articulate and knowledgeable on the menu. Always there but not there. Food was amazing from appetizers to dessert. Our entrées were spectacular. Most definitely recommend for a special occasion dinner experience.

What a hidden gem. The name “bar and grill” is deceiving!! No chicken wings here, but rather excellent food with an international flair. The wines were reasonably priced. The food great. Service spectacular. If you want a nicer upscale Myrtle Beach eatery go here. If not, there are plenty of all you can eat fried food places!!

Very good food, with excellent presentation. Service is good and staff is very attentive. The experience was very classy without being pretentious. Highly recommend this place, but you may need a reservation during busy times.

Just want to give a shout out to our waitress Donna she was exceptional. We had the Grouper, Salmon and Short Rib, by far the best on the Grand Stand. Will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!

A very cozy place serving exceptionally delicious food served by very friendly, courteous, customer service oriented servers and staff, smiling, engaging and very welcoming owner at a very convenient location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Food served at a very reasonable price. You will surely come back.

Cozy intimate ambiance. Food was 4-5 stars. Mayo drizzle on everything was unnecessary and distracting without adding flavor. Seafood pasta was phenomenal with perfectly cooked shrimp, mussels and scallops and very flavorful cream sauce. I all but licked my bowl. Beef Wellington was no beef Wellington. It was more a filet with a side of pork and a pastry puff. Service was good and prices reasonable.

It was very refreshing eating NOT fried food for dinner today down here in the south! I had a lovely sea bass chef’s special and the husband had the steak and mashed potatoes with Brussels sprouts. We also had started with the potstickers that were also tasty!

Decided to eat here with friends and family on a complete whim. Just started perusing on Maps looking for a spot we'd never tried before. This place had good overall reviews, and we liked what we saw in the pictures. Turns out, we made the right choice. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere. The service was great, and we had a wonderful time. Why only 4 stars? The cocktails weren't all that great and my sister ordered here fillet medium and got medium rare. Though, l should point out she still thought it tasted great despite her not usually eating beef that rare. Also, these minor issues did not ruin our overall experience. It's not cheap to eat here, but think it's definitely worth it.

We were really hoping for a better experience at 42nd Street Bar & Grill, but Myrtle Beach is officially 0 for 3 on meals this trip. The food was, at best, mediocre — the steak was fine, but everything else was forgettable. What truly ruined the evening, though, was how uncomfortable we were made to feel as a family. We came with our two young children (a 6-year-old and a 19-month-old), just trying to enjoy dinner together. Two patrons spent much of the meal glaring at us, making us feel completely unwelcome. When I finally said something — something I rarely ever do — they snapped back defensively, insisting we should “control our kids.” They’re children — and in what’s supposed to be a family-friendly restaurant, that’s simply unacceptable. What was worse, the staff and management stood by and did absolutely nothing to defuse the situation. Instead of stepping in to protect paying guests (we spent nearly $200 USD on dinner), they just apologized quietly while allowing this hostility to continue. No family should be made to feel like an inconvenience for dining out. 42nd Street Bar & Grill may look welcoming, but in reality, it’s a pretentious, uninviting place that does not create an inclusive environment for families. We won’t be back — and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone traveling with kids.
