This place is very lovely, food is good, service is excellent, we loved the chicken and waffles and the southern fried chicken ( don’t miss out on the Mac and cheese it was bomb )
We were staying here and with our stay we were given money for breakfast at Commons Club. The setting is pretty cool, the food was just OK. Wife had chicken and waffles and the chicken was more fried than chicken and the waffle really seemed like it was just frozen and then toasted. I got the drop biscuits and gravy and the chorizo burrito. The burrito was great, loved it. The biscuits and gravy were not so much. They were not "drop biscuits", they were clearly from a muffin pan...and they looked over baked. I would be willing to go back though - give it a try!
We went here for New Year’s Day brunch very good service very good food. It was perfect.!
This Club is located in the Virgin Hotel over on Music Row. These hotels are always so cute. We wanted to have a cocktail first, so we took the elevator to the 14th floor to Rudy’s Reindeer Rooftop bar. It’s a pop up during Christmas. Beautiful ambiance on a warm winter night, with lots of holiday cocktails and music. For dinner we went to the Common Club, which is a fairly small area, but still casual and festive. A DJ came later on to keep us entertained. As a Vegan, I had the grain bowl, which was nice and filled me up. My husband had a flatbread that looked delicious! Service was excellent, decorated with pink Christmas trees and lots of hidden corners and nooks, a pool table, board games if you wish, and valet parking. We enjoyed our evening!
As the weather warms up, the downstairs outside bar is a great place to hang out and is generally shady. The service was great with friendly bartenders and there was live music for everyone to enjoy. I went for just drinks but i would definitely go back for brunch.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The Christmas decorations were amazing with many photo opportunities!
The brunch was amazing! The service was friendly and prompt. The food was fantastic. Just a new level of hotel food.
Great bar attached to the new Virgin Hotel. Excellent cocktails and mock-tails. The service was great. The seating inside is nice and finished. Outside had heaters and great lounge space. The bar bridges the outside to the inside and gives you a view of the club. Great bar to stop at wether you're a guest of the hotel or not.
Throughout our stay we were here a few times. Dylan and Peyton gave amazing hospitality.
A spot my wife and I walk to often. Has a fantastic happy hour along with some great high quality food and drinks. The outdoor patio is awesome, they have live music on the weekends. Not usually too busy. Service is A+ too!
Best overall food & bar in Midtown! The burgers are my go-to and they’re always super delicious. It’s well worth the price for the overall dining experience. The ambiance and music is superb (especially on weekends with the live jazz music), and the quality of service is always top notch. Definitely planning on staying a regular here. :)
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We had the oysters and rib eye… both were great. Damian was our server and he was perfect. Music was awesome!!!
We had breakfast here! such a sexy vibe ☺️ we loved it!! Bottomless mimosas are it!!! And our waitress was amazing!
I love this place for so many reasons; Frank is the biggest reason! The food is always great as well as the service and the ambiance is very high-end which I love.
Visited this bar every night during our stay, so comfortable and good atmosphere, great guy behind the bar sorry cannot remember his name but he was the owner of two blue Peter badges, such a friendly guy looked after us really well.
Beautiful hotel. Amazing food! Roof top pool and bar has an amazing skyline.
Great oysters. Not far from Downtown
Great location, great atmosphere, and great service, i'll be back
Great service and drinks
Service is extraordinarily good! The staff is unbelievable friendly and attentive! Marcin 100/10. He made our experience amazing and we had to come back every day!
I loved the live music it was incredible and I got espresso martini it was amazing, outstanding. The server was very caring and took care of us so well. Overall I joined the bar and vibe
This review is for dinner on Thursday night and breakfast on Saturday morning last weekend, as we were staying at the Virgin Hotel. The ambiance is retro chic and elegant. Dark and moody, it's the perfect way to start our little vacation. Thursday night, our server was Chase, very personable and welcoming! On Saturday morning, Cody was our server, equally as good and accommodating! The lemon pepper wings are a MUST try. Some of the best wings we have had! Hot, crunchy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection! We shared the short rib dinner with sides of asparagus and creamed spinach. While the whole meal was super tasty, the creamed spinach was a bit bland. Breakfast on Saturday consisted of home fries, a fruit bowl, eggs benedict, and an egg sandwich. All were delicious and cooked properly. The poached eggs, as was the muffin, were a bit on the chill side. But that didn't stop me from devouring it! The lightly dressed greens were perfect for sopping up any runny egg and sauce left over! After a couple of mimosas, Cody graciously switched my order to the bottomless mimosa as it would save me money; I was very thankful for that! We cannot wait to come back!
The food was excellent, with well-seasoned dishes and perfectly-sized servings that were great for sharing. The atmosphere was fantastic. JD, our server, was attentive, informative, and pleasant. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in Nashville.
Trendy Vibe and Delicious Food. 4 out of 5 stars because the waitress accepted an additional $50 cash tip after an automatic 20% gratuity was added to the bill which was on one check plus 14.5% tax. A couple of the guests at our table were unaware that the waitress had already received $149 for 45 minutes of work at best. I don't agree with this, 34.5% additional for a meal is excessive. The waitress should have said I already received my tip. We were only there for 2 hours. I don't even make $100 an hour and after the food was brought out we didn't bother her at all until we asked for to go plates. Fortunately everything else went well with our meal and drinks.
Petite oysters and entree portion was small but good flavor.
Made a Saturday brunch reservation (although it wasn't necessary). Nice decor. Decent band.
Almost $100 later (on food for 2) and we’re still STARVING… The 2 of us ordered: 12 oysters (6 each) + Southern Fried Chicken + Fire Roasted Duck (We’re light eaters who typically take 1/2 of our meals home, so this should have been enough food...) Anyway… The oysters were TINY and I think they purposely used the smallest ones for the “Fire Roasted Oysters”—so they could disguise them under 2 Tablespoons of breadcrumbs for each oyster. (Note: the raw oysters were also tiny though.) The presentation was super cute, but they certainly weren’t worth over $40 for 12. —————————-— Southern Fried Chicken - $26 —The flavor was amazing, but I think there was a total of 3 or 4 ounces of chicken—disguised by mostly breading. I mean that will full sincerity, it was absolutely less than 4 ounces of meat. Fire Roasted Duck - $28 —Good flavor but also appetizer sizing! I’d also say this was 4 ounces. Service —We ate our oysters and after waiting 1.5 hours, asked our server where our meal was. Apparently she didn’t come back to ask us for our meal order (she never came back and we each assumed the other had put in the order while we took turns using the restroom). In other words... the server wasn't very attentive. We put in our appetizer order and she never came back for our entree order... In addition-- while my husband can usually drink 4 drinks over the course of a long dinner.... he only had 2, because she spent little time checking up on us. Overall-- we'd absolutely come back if the portion sizes were bigger, but they were SO TINY that we were left starving, and that would cause us to never return.
Since we were staying at this hotel for Valentine’s Day we dropped down to the bar - Commons Club - for a couple of drinks. Despite being booked into the hotel - and paying $47 for two drinks (pre-tip) we were told we had to take our drinks outside the bar and into the lobby unless we had bar reservations. What? What kind of hotel charges $370 for a room (that’s a $263 room rate + $107 in fees and taxes) and doesn’t reserve a set of seats for their guests in the bar? Why not make some room for your guests, if even just a few seats? This was an expensive disappointment and shortsighted on the part of the Commons Club.
Very slow night here and despite that the food came out incredibly cold. Our server clocked out in the middle of our visit and handed us off to somebody who didn’t check on us for another 30 minutes despite us clearly being done. Not impressed, do not recommend.
Rude service and overpriced food, don’t get me started on the bartender..
Hotel is great but this restaurant is a big disappointment.
My wife and I went for the Thanksgiving Prefix Meal, which cost $170 before all the fees, this was a $20 meal at best. ALL the food was lukewarm warm, the ham was so salty even my dog wouldn’t eat it. Overall maybe a $40 meal for the two of us. The bar did have good drinks and a friendly bar tender. The waiter never came back to fill our waters, overall for the price it was terribly disappointing.
Just pulled trig. The butter burgers were severely undercooked, and due to the current state of my stomach, I am unable to attain intimacy with my partner. Given the overall price on the evening, to say I’m appalled and disappointed would be an incredible understatement. I hope they take their actual kitchen seriously in the future, because the overall service and food experience was lackluster to say the least. The silverware and initial plates had grease marks on them, indicating a kitchen staff that either is incapable, ill equipped, or otherwise apathetic to the cleanliness of their restaurant. Hope y’all avoid eating here!
If you're looking for the happy hour oysters, they're out. They will recommend the full price mussels.
Probably one of the worst food I had. Ordered fish and chips and fish was dry and overcooked by about 15 min. Not worth it
DO NO RECOMMEND!! Go elsewhere… Very unprofessional and not accommodating at all for hotel guests my friend and I went for a table of 4, when all online reservations showed available we’d figure we would just walk down and get a table and when we met the host tall skinny bald dude with glasses he did not treat us with any respect like we were a burden to him asking him to do his job he tells us he’s accommodating reservations first but NOT ONE person was waiting to be seated and he disappeared into the back hoping we’d walk away I will be speaking to the Virgin hotel staff about this incident. Get better staff I work with people and it’s not hard to treat people with respect or just tell us hey we are full we can’t take any more
No respect from bartender (Dillard) if not mistaken 7/19/25. As I sat at bar waiting on service he stood talking to a friend that only stop by to chat with him. He gave me eye contact and continued to talk. When he finish he just walk by me and went to other end of bar standing. So I got up asked him can I get a menu and some service. He told me that was his friend and I told him I was a customer waiting on service. So after I got a beer he never came to ask me for my food order. He continued to walk by without asking did I need anything so I never got a chance to order food. So I ask for my check and left. Have no plans of returning back to Commons. Bartender suck 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 have NO courtesy ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
Came in to eat for a birthday dinner and it was terrible. It started with our waitress telling us it was only her second day and she was put on the floor to serve. As a server myself that’s crazy. Management should not be putting servers on the floor when they haven’t been properly trained. I don’t know if there are sections in this restaurant but she was running inside and outside waiting on tables everywhere. She was stretched incredibly thin due to poor management. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks to the table, in which we had to ask MULTIPLE different servers for refills because they kept forgetting. We only got one coke refill the whole time. Once again as a server if you can’t keep a drink refilled do better. After waiting for quite a while for food we saw our food come up in the kitchen and heard the cooks yell hands. Then no one came. After the third time of them yelling for hands we debated if we need to come grab our food since no one seemed to be concerned our food was dying in the window. Finally someone did bring it to us and two plates of chicken were bloody and undercooked. The mac-n-cheese, asparagus and fried potatoes with garlic were cold. We sent the chicken back of course and ordered a pork chop. Explain why we got dessert brought out and then had to once again ask about the pork chop. This was when we finally spoke to a manager, I don’t know her name but she was very kind and did help try to fix our issues. She immediately walked into the kitchen and came back with the pork chop. So was it ready once again dying in the window. I’m confused? Regardless the manager did comp off our food to try to make up for it but we came from out of town for a 21rst birthday celebration and this was the one nice dinner we went out to and it was ruined. Only thing nice about this place is the atmosphere and design. You’ll get a good picture but terrible service and food.
Thank you for calling the night before Mother's Day to tell us you made a mistake and were canceling our reservation. It's wonderful to be left with no options to celebrate a Mom vs you figuring out how to make things work.
