Thanks to the management this place has amazingly changed within a matter of weeks. A lot more polite and courteous staff with smiling faces. Keep up the good work!
We went in and it was busy with a long line, but the staff were helpful and helped things along even with some slight confusion. Food was nice as always.
The place has a lot of steaming cooking food in the back. But when we sat down, in the restaurant, the food isn't even the slightest bit warm. I told my daughter it'll taste better when she eats leftovers at home where she can heat it up. This is a bad experience that I've never had before. And the place is very busy so the food isn't just sitting around.
Panda Express looks a lot better than it tastes. I thought the food looked great but tasted mediocre. Little disappointed. Needs more flavor!
Morning 5 people were waiting outside at 9am and store door was close. It seems hours were change but in the door the hours are different. Friday August 23, 2024, it seems they will be opening at 10am instead of 9am. It is upsetting that at the door they have different times than the one they provide as in the pictures. Although they will close early this specific friday around 6:30pm, they also should let people know in a written notice about morning hours been change as well until further notice of new permanent hours. Workers and people passing by due waste their time guessing if they are open or no. No one even come out and tell people or explain it. Not a good sign of communication to customers passing by and waiting outside the door.
I experienced subpar customer service today after receiving a text that my order was ready at 12:10, arrived by 12:12, but was told by the young male at the register that my order "was being worked on". After many customers came in after me and received their online orders, followed by many who came in, stood in line, and also received their orders I finally got the young male at the register's attention and asked if they had forgotten me at 12:23. He asked me to show him my email with the order again, then went and spoke to manager Diana, who then finally prepared the meal. When a different male brought it to me at 12:28, I asked him what happened to cause the delay. He either didn't speak English, or was intentionally extremely rude, because he simply turned and walked back to the serving line. I walked over and asked him why did he fail to acknowledge me and he completely ignored me. I then asked manager Diana, who was standing next to him to speak to her. She gave me some story about my ticket falling on the floor and a feeble, insufficient apology for the 2 male employees behavior which was rude & inconsiderate. This will affect my patronage of this establishment going forward.
I make an orden for pickup and when they tell me was ready, when i was there they make me wait like 25 min and when they finally come whit me they said " The order is missing, we need to do it rigth now, bro i been driving 4 hours" and after that they didn't put the full order on both plates, they forgot the sauces, forks... come on! I know there's some time they got a lot people on line, but I'm not here to evaluate the food, because I like Panda Express, but I'm telling you if you want a good service... I recommend you another location.
Seems like they gave me someone's leftovers.
Always busy, and chaos, the servings are terrible ,the ratio of sides to protein is ridiculous, never give sauces , do better.
Ordered fried rice and got stale food which led to stomach upset and vomiting next day. Incidentally, this food was filled up in the bowl right before me, so looks like they mixed some freshly prepared and stale left over food behind the scenes in order to leave any doubts. I could feel the stale/dry food while eating, but given it was bought fresh right in front of me, erased those doubts, only for my body to reject next day.. I will not visit a panda express food joint anytime soon..
Walked into Panda stood there for a minute, Angel was fixing boxes, didn't get the lady's name, no one acknowledged me so I asked if they were open, Angel said yes, then I asked if they were going to wait on me, he said "NO, as you can see I'm putting boxes together" the girl giggled and both continued ignoring me, I was floored, I will never enter that place again, terrible customer service.
Staff is slow and incompetent. if you're going to order from here order online. if you go in person you're just going to watch the staff make a million online orders in front of you.
If I could I would give service and atmosphere ZERO STARS! I had a horrible experience tonight. I came in and all I saw was unhappy faces from the two young ladies in the front. One Hispanic lady and one Asian lady with glasses. The Asian lady with glasses was rude and gave me small portions. Not even a full scoop. Outrageous. She wouldn’t even look up to ask me what I wanted. She had NO customer service skills. With this economy there’s plenty of people that would take her spot in an instant! She should be more appreciative that such a thriving business would even hire an unprofessional employee like herself! I don’t remember what her name was but I do recall it started with a “C”. To that young lady… it’s a privilege to be able to work out here don’t take it for granted. Also the front dining area was dirty. It didn’t look like anyone cleans the dining area! Food was decent though the customer service was TERRIBLE! I’ve seen on the reviews from yelp and google so many of these employees have crappy service. Why are they still employed.? Management needs to do a better job at screening these young adults.
I witnessed an employee treating a customer in a way that can be considered racist at the Highland Ave location of Panda Express in National City, California. It is a known stereotype that Mexicans of a low socio-economic background treat other Mexicans in unpleasant and mean ways. Keep this in mind and, also, the fact that most of the employees at this location appear to be of Hispanic heritage.Today, as I was in line waiting for my order to be filled, there was a Hispanic man (who primarily spoke Spanish) behind me in the line. The man ordered Coconut Shrimp and the lady who filled his plate, who also appeared to be of Hispanic heritage, gave him about 1.25 scoops of the Coconut Shrimp entree, which was all of what was available of this entree at the time. The Spanish-speaking man protested and told her he had been served too little. The lady serving him responded agressively in Spanish with, "asi esta bien. Lo quiere o lo regreso?"--which translates roughly to "it's fine like this. You can take it or leave it." I feel this was extremely unfair treatment that borders on racism when seen under the lense of the aforementioned Mexican stereotype. I have seen instances when there is not enough of an entree to fill an order and the employee simply tells the customer to please wait for more food. The cook cooks the fresh entree and then the order is properly filled. In my opinion, the Hispanic lady who served the Spanish-speaking man gave him racist behavior. I was too shocked by her treatment of him that I did not think of looking at her name tag to properly mention her here. I hope the higher-ups of this Panda Express read this review and work on addressing proper treatment of all customers.
I ate their plenty of times!! today was not as my usual visit the service was not good especially the cashier, the guy not wanting to work there why are you even there .😒. If you see the picture it looks like they threw my food in there halfway. They have me waiting for noodles took more than 7 minutes . After waiting, they serve me like four noodles only omg ..
Absolutely Disgusted – Found a Worm in My Food! I’m beyond appalled by my experience at Nation City South Bay Plaza Panda Express After taking just a few bites of my meal, I discovered a worm inside the food on my plate. I was shocked and horrified. This is not only unsanitary but also completely unacceptable in any food establishment. I tried to remain calm, but after seeing something like that, it’s hard to ignore how utterly careless this is. I can’t imagine how something like that could have slipped past kitchen staff or quality control, especially given that it was noticeable immediately. To find something so vile in my meal has completely ruined my appetite and trust in this place. I am deeply concerned about the hygiene standards here and am seriously questioning how this was allowed to happen. I don’t want anyone else to experience what I did – it’s both disgusting and unsafe. I am requesting a full refund and for the restaurant to take immediate action to improve their food safety procedures. This was a completely unacceptable experience, and I will not be returning
I am absolutely never eating here again. We ordered delivery and they didn't include the two drinks we ordered, and it is on the receipt. The picture shown is a double order of broccoli beef because it's always been my favorite. The meat is grey and tastes off, almost bad, the broccoli is yellowing and tastes off too. The chow mein is unseasoned and tastes like I tried to eat raw spaghetti noodles that look nice. I'm literally so off-put by all this I'm throwing it in the trash after 3 bites. One for the meat, one for the broccoli and one for the noodles. I rarely get Panda Express, but with this experience, I see no reason to ever have it again.
My review today makes me so sad because I had a bad review a year ago and came back to find things worse. We always came here late and they would make fresh dishes before closing and today a whole hour before closing the pans were empty. I always order a family pack, extra dishes and egg rolls, spring rolls& wonton. There was not enough to get a family pack. No one was cooking and some gal behind the counter kept answering the 3 other employees who asked her if they could make egg rolls and other dishes requests with big No's. What money are they losing by not having staple dishes like Mushroom Chicken, Angus steak and sweet and sour. They had a full crew and no one cooking. This was always the best place because they would cook when you came late. Even when they were closing. Such sad times when you spend a lot to go out to be disappointed and not be able to get what your family wants. My review about a year ago- 1 star Super BUMMED OUT! We work late like after 10pm often and come to this Panda Express because they are open late usually about every week to 2 weeks....well we arrived at 10:39 & the Open sign was on. Walked in and they were closed. We were so so bummed out and they just lost a $40 to $50 sale since we always order extra for the kids and egg rolls etc.
