This is the best Rudy's restaurant in TX. Service is great, the atmosphere is full of life. And the food?...O my to the what is Tarnations is happening to my mouth gosh. That smoke turkey...I don't think you heard me.....THAT SMOKE TURKEY!? There is not a presidential pardon big enough to safe these birds. Man let me tell you.. if you think turkey is the other dry meat. Well I'm here to tell you. This turkey is so moist. Pigs are jealous of how sweaty this meat is.. This turkey is so good. When you take a bite. You'll wanna have a whole slap party. I just wanna say thank you. To all the employees of the Rudy's establishment in New Braunfels. They have always treated my wife and I with exceptional service. If anyone is reading this, and has not gone there to eat. Stop what your doing. A HUGE shoutout to Rudy’s BBQ and their amazing manager, Ivan, and the staff. I hosted a wedding that the food truck caterer did not show. I had 50 hungry people in need of food. Ivan and his team came to the rescue and pulled together everything I needed in just 30 minutes. The night was saved even though the meal was an hour late. I can’t say enough great things about the quality of food and the amazing customer service we got from the whole crew at Rudy’s. THANK YOU!!!!

Fabulous sliced brisket sandwiches served on a warmed bun. Delicious tender brisket. You will pay $2 more for this sandwich at True Texas BBQ, and they have small cold buns. Will continue to be a Rudy's customer

I love this location we drive from San Antonio to this location. The locations in San Antonio are no where near. The food is amazing and delicious and fresh and some of the staff is amazing like the young lady who was cutting the meat it was like she lived and breathed meat I was amazed. We had one bad experience with a young man who was not so kind I was in a boot on my foot I left my military IDENTIFICATION in the car and he wanted me to walk all the way back to my car and the lady next to him told him she comes in regular she is military and he still didn’t listen if it wasn’t for all the good experience with other staff I wouldn’t come back. Oh yeah that Sissy Sauce beautiful and delicious oh my goodness

We tried a little bit of everything, brisket, Turkey, sausage, their potato salad, cream corn, coleslaw… everything tasted so good! Enjoyed the whole self serve set up for condiments- including the pickles and jalapeños. They have bbq sauces on every table which was great! Then for our leftovers they had ziplock bags and brown paper bags which was awesome because it’s already all set out for you to grab as needed. Very spacious and so many seating available. TVs available so we watched football. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was great & very helpful.

A rare 5 stars. This place is the bomb. Love the atmosphere they have created. As soon as you are in the parking lot you smell the smoke and meat. I got a 1/2 pound of moist brisket, which means it has a little delicious fat. It was sooooooooooo good. Tasty. Delicious. On point. I also got potato salad and pinto beans. Both side were perfect. Tasty. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommend.

We were lucky to have tried and loved Rudy's BBQ in Colorado Springs and when we saw the big red Rudy's sign in New Braunfels we had to try and compare. We LOVED it! Don't hesitate to give it a try. Clean restaurant, restrooms and perfect atmosphere.

Excellent BBQ joint. Rudy’s is so perfect. From decor to food to hand washing station, it feels every bit of an excellent BBQ place. The massive smoked potato loaded with meat is so good. Brisket is nicely smoked, tender and juicy … the best are the sauces, tangy, smoky, peppery, with a hint of sweetness… Happy eating

First time here. Grew up on Smitty's in Lockhart but must say Rudy's is really good. Great space inside, people working there were nice. We really enjoyed our food. Not bad priced either

Excellent service, clean restaraunt, friendly knowledgeable staff, incredible value. I'm from the south and picky about barbecue, these guys know what they are doing. We ordered the pork which was perfect. Sampled both the brisket and turkey, you can't go wrong. This us not a hipster fusion nonsense kinda place, real food, real people, we will gladly return.

We get brisket and pulled pork sandwiches from Rudy’s every few weeks and they’re delicious. We dined in a few days ago and got half brisket and their jalapeños and cheddar sausage to share between my husband and I. They provide toast and all the condiments so we made delicious sandwiches and it was a great portion. We also got a side of Coleslaw. If you’re in the mood for BBQ and don’t want to wait in line, this is a great spot. They have lots of seating indoor and in their covered porch area so you’ll have no issues finding a spot.

Its good, service was to be expected. The moist brisket was well smoked, great flavor in the meat the bark seemed to lack seasoning, was hoping for more there. Beans dropped it a star, a cross between baked beans and chili beans. The slaw was a vinager based and no complaints. Bbq Sauce seemed good.

Very clean, and nice service. We went for breakfast and our food was hot and fresh. My only complaint (and the reason for 4 and not 5 stars) is that although we got here at about 930am I think the sweet tea was not fresh, and may have been from the night before. There were three containers of sweet tea and I tried all of them, but none of them tasted particularly fresh. Overall, definitely a good Rudy’s, though.

We are winter Texans from Colorado. We were looking for a good barbecue meal. The food was underwhelming. We got brisket and turkey. Both were dry and chewy. Beans were a little too spicy for us. Coleslaw was good corn on the cob was not fresh and not tasty. We came away, very disappointed with her first Texas barbecue.
