A great local Italian place that’s been pretty consistent over the years we’ve been going. They make their own pasta and they have lots of stuff on the menu that’s tasty. The riggies are excellent, the pasta is always a good choice, you always get fresh bread, and the chickirina soup is excellent.
Best bacon blu burger I've had in the area
Stoped in with my friends for happy hour! Erica greeted us and made us felel so welcome. We had delicious drinks and the vodka riggies were outstanding! Great service great atmosphere and the cannolis are next level! Stop by and try one yourself.
My husband and I had an impromptu date night on Monday. The service was great and the food was amazing! We both tried something we hadn't had there before, him the ribs and me the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Both were so yummy and we had enough for a second meal tonight 😋
Love this place. I always want to come here, and man it was good. Yea it is a bit pricey and takes long, but I occupy myself while me and fiancée wait for our food by watching movies on my phone. Such great staff and love them, always kind. I usually get well done burgers and the fries r amazing. I add salt to my fries and maybe pepper. I'm gonna try to BLT next time we go - Kiara Carson
Fantastic wait staff, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, and really good food. I ate with a large group of people for dinner and I was amazed at well, how calm, and how friendly the waitress was that had to handle our group of almost 25 people. Everyone got their apps, drinks, and food on time, together, the food was all correct, and we really enjoyed everything. Not a complaint from anyone I was there with. I really enjoyed the Chicken Alfredo, and my salad was fresh. They offered drink specials, and everyone had a great time. My first time there, and I would definitely go back.
Hidden gem! Prices are reasonable for the quality of food, and everything came out exactly as expected. The sandwiches were delicious, and the pizza was spot on. The restaurant itself has a bit of a worn look inside, but it honestly adds to its character and makes it feel warm and inviting. If you’re after tasty food at a solid price, this is definitely worth it.
Austin's Wing Review: Service: My waitress Cindy was absolutely the BOMB. She was so nice and joyful. She kept up on our drinks and always made sure we were enjoying our food as much as possible. She also noticed we were drinking a lot of water so she gave me a bigger glass. That really shows how observent she is Food: Pros- The wings were seasoned to the best I have seen so far as I could taste the true richness of their BBQ sauce. As you bite into the wing, you taste a bit a sweet. And then out of no where you get hit with spicyness to really seal the deal of these wings. The wings were also juicy and not dry at all. This made it take a few bites to eat the entire wing as I enjoyed evwry bit about that. Cons- I could not find a single thing bad about these wings because they were that good. Final thoughts: I was so satisfied with this place and WILL come here again as I love everything about Carmellas. 👏👏👏
I live in the Watertown area me and my friend went there for lunch I got raviolis wowwwwww that’s all I gotta say it was so damn good I be there again soon thank you so much the waitress was excellent also 💯
The waitress we had tonight did a great job. She was very attentive and paid attention to my drink. I never had an empty glass. Doesn't seem like a big deal but alot of servers sent this attentive anymore.
The waitress was very friendly and the food was excellent!
Great place to eat, drink, watch the game, hangout, etc. Yep, try their onion soup too, delish! Daily specials, early birds, and 8pm two for's apps. You can't go wrong here, weather it's with the family, or friends, or solo Carmella's Cafe has it for you. Oh yeah fresh popped corn at the bar too!
The place was great! The pizza was good, the gluten free was amazing, and the atmosphere was welcoming! I highly recommend the connoli cup and cookies. It's a gluten free connoli option.
Great bar staff. 2 for 1 drink specials all day everyday. Good food.
It was a beautiful dinner outing .. the food was temptous and tasted great..!! We went there after snow Tubing with our little one and so hungry can’t describe. We were worried the order will take time and wait time would kill us of hunger. But the food come on our table very soon also was delicious. What more can we ask on Friday night after an exhausting week..
Yanno every time I come here it’s amazing & idk why I haven’t left a review sooner but let me tell you they were on FIRE tonight. Everything was perfect, steak was insane
This restaurant is so full of love, great food and nostalgia. The red white and blue tortellini, minestrone soup, chickorina and chicken riggies are fantastic. The onion rings here are aces too. I only get to this restaurant once a year or so beacuse it's almost 2 hours from where I live. But when I am in the general vicinity, I will go out of my way to eat here.
We brought our mom here to celebrate her birthday and the food and service was fantastic. Kelly was so nice and made sure my mom had a wonderful birthday. The appetizer sampler was huge and yummy. The manager brought us more onion rings as the first batch got cooked too long which was so nice they cared :) The thin crust brick oven artichoke pizza was great. We love coming here for good food and excellent service!! And Kelly makes all the pasta! Wow we did not know this. Everything was delicious!!!
Great food, it has been 20+ years since we ate here, still great food
We drive about 50 miles to eat at Carmella's. It is worth every mile. The food is authentic, the service is pleasant and professional. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Food and service was great. The Chicken Riggies were perfectly cooked and our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
We rarely go out to eat because we are so underwhelmed compared to what I can cook at home and the prices we have to pay. I was out doing some Christmas shopping today and decided to stop at Carmella’s. This… i’m going to be bragging about to everyone. Everything was home made even the pasta & bread and all fresh veggies. I am a happy Italian today!
I love the vibe of this place. The server is super nice too! Husband’s steak was not up to his expectations, it was not medium rare for him. Stuffed ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo is sooo good. I ordered the salmon dinner and i love how the salmon was seasoned and cooked. The broccoli on the side though is overcooked in my opinion. Coleslaw is good too! Free bread is to die for!😁
Elma was my server she was top shelf, great service without having to look for her or be overwhelmed with too many visits to the table. First time here so Lasagna, of course. I think they make their own salad dressing. The Bleu cheese was great! Took dessert to go bc I was stuffed! Love finding these family owned places.
California sauce is fresh and delicious. Grilled or fried chicken on point. Homemade pasta is the best!
Used to be a huge favorite of mine, but they fell off for a couple years with food quality. Very happy to say that it seems they are back to their good days. Great food, good deals, excellent staff (blonde waitress with the nose ring was one of the best waitresses I've had anywhere in a long time), nice atmosphere. Even when it's fairly busy, which is often, the food is out relatively quick & the service is good. They often have happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers like buy one get one free. Their fried calamari is one of my favs around. Good choice for a variety of occasions and diners, including just going out for drinks.
Come here a little more than I should. I love the fact that they make their pasta fresh. Service is amazing and the bartenders make it a lot better as well. They're great. One gives sass back but in a fun way, which heightens the experience. Oh and the drink deals?! Like c'mon. So worth it
Absolutely the best experience i have had in a family owned restaurant. We walked in immediately greeted by everyone as if we were coming into a family reunion. The manger walked us to the table and conversated to the Max. When seated immediately greeted my our waitress Sondra. Who was Absolutely amazing with our autistic son... definitely would recommend
Autumn Cocktails! Apple Cider Sangria was excellent! Buratta bruschetta was just right. Pasta with broccoli and garlic was a little dry but very tasty. No room for dessert.
This seems to be a local hotspot, and there is no question about it that it is deserving of that! The food here was absolutely fantastic, they sure know how to do Italian food right! I'm not from around here and had to dry out the chicken riggies, and I got to say those were some damn good riggies! Honestly, the first bite wasn't all that exciting but the more I ate it, the better it tasted, and I wasn't even sure if I was going to finish it yet there was an empty plate at the end of my meal! Oh, and the portions are massive, like really big! You really get a good deal for your buck! Service was really nice, and the atmosphere was a nice and comfy place. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for some good Central New York cuisine!
I go here with a large group once a year to "carbo load" the weekend of the Boilermaker. The food and service was great. This weekend, I had a salad, spaghetti with sausage and dessert. The salad isn't just simple lettuce but nice fresh greens, cukes, and other veggies. They give me a large serving of spaghetti with marinara sauce and spicy Italian sausage. The cannoli was a wonderful finish to the meal. Our server was attentive and friendly. The restaurant manager even stopped over to check on us to make sure our experience was good. Highly recommend.
We were in New Hartford visiting family and I am gluten free, as is my daughter so it is always difficult finding a place to eat. Well, we tried Carmellas and we're very happy with our choice. We did have a 30min wait but it was a Saturday night at dinner time, so to be expected. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone that ordered had nothing but good things to say. The gluten free menu was extensive! Portions are generous! My daughter (2.5) got sauce noodles and I got the chicken broccoli alfredo and they were so good. My gluten eating family got ribs, alfredo, tuna melt, sirloin and grilled cheese and no one had a single complaint. Waitstaff are very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive even for a Saturday night. We will 100% be returning next time we're in the area visiting family! Also, they offer a military discount. Even for 7 of us the bill was only $160 and we had two steak entrees and two gluten free entrees! Only tiny negative thing I could mention was the music was a bit loud so we couldn't really hear one another well. We asked for it to be turned down and I'm unsure if they did or not.
Went here for lunch on a Tuesday because it was busy , the online menu sounded good And I've found it really difficult to find anything I think is worth eating in the area. Got an unsweetened iced tea with lemon , antipasto and artichoke rustica pizza - which, I gotta say ,was unlike any pizza i've ever had and i eat pizza on the regular. It had a super thin, crispy fennel crust that reminded me of foccacia. Delish. Sauce was equally yum. Everything was brilliant. Place was cozy and relaxed. Waitress was super friendly. All the waitresses stayed busy , even if they werent waiting on patrons. That's something pretty uncommon these days , especially where im from (massachusetts).Super happy to find an Italian place that was just as good as Boston for salad & 🍕. Yee,haw! ( sorry chicken riggies, I'm a salad & pizza type gal 😉)
A bit of a wait at 4:30 pm, no problem, well worth it. Once seated with the family drinks were served staff was attentive. Appetizer, we chose was mushroom fritters served with a unique cherry mustard, was a delightful flavor adventure. Meals arrived quickly, plates were warm food was hot, so no heat lamps here folks, even with a full house. The wine paired well with dinner. We had kid's pizza with mushrooms, pasta steak pasta, baked lasagna chicken Parmigiano combo, and the salmon, served with fresh steamed broccoli, and onion rings. All were delicious, we took turns trying each other's dishes and were not disappointed. Home-made pasta, steak cooked to perfection, sauces that were per Italian tradition sticking to the noodles! With wait staff taking pride in their craft, we recommend that you take advantage of this gem 💎.
We loved the food here. Everything is great, Sarah was very friendly and nice! We got Philly steak and chicken Parmigiana, both were great. Soup was spectacular as well (broccoli cheddar soup). I love their garlicky bread, its very sad they do not bring it faster, it feels like they are conservative on brining bread, compared to Texas Roadhouse. Anyway, we definitely will come back!!
Really wonderful first experience! Our server Brianna was fantastic - very friendly and informative! Their patio is dog friendly which was a big draw for us. We were hoping to get breakfast (on Sunday) but it ended at noon so we decided to still try them out and we’re very glad we did! We will be back!
Wonderful food and service. I had the chicken parmigiana, possibly the best I ever had here.

Delicious food! 2 for one drinks! Special candle for the birthday girl's dessert! We'll definitely be back if we're in the area!
Food and service are great. Homemade flavors in a restaurant atmosphere. Like being at your Italian family's house!

Almost missed out because of the word "cafe" but thankfully looked at the menu and gave it a try! Our server Kelly was awesome and helped make recommendations that did not disappoint. The amount of food you get with a pasta meal is crazy (didn't get a picture of the salad or bread because was too busy enjoying it!) Update March 2026: went back and got more pictures. "Ultimate chocolate cake" was a little disappointing for the price, but the rest was good! Service was not as good as the 1st time... We will definitely be back when were in Utica next!
The fish fry is always very good with fair portions. The pasta dishes here are okay, but sometimes lack flavor. The appetizers are generally very good and the portions are good as well. There was no wait as we had reservations. Parking on a busy night is ‘yikes’. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Thanks!
Nice local Utica specialties, including chicken riggies. Decent portions, and lots of Italian flair.
Riggies are really good, not too expensive, come here often for the buy one get one drinks and appetizers. Nothing on the menu is fantastic besides the riggies though. Normally just kinna meh. Editing review because the 2 for 1 deals genuinely make this place stand out and is cheap. Also the wings are pretty solid, any place with good wings is good to me.
We came here for a late lunch with family who lives by this place. The first impression was seeing how italian they made the interior, I really liked it. I ordered the appetizer sampler. The fried ravioli was absolutely amazing and so was the marinera. Not sure if it is home made or not but it tasted like it was. Also the onion rings are amazing and absolutely humongous. My wife got the buffalo chicken wrap that was also huge with nice juicy chicken with just the right amount of sauce. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the service was great.
It's good sometimes when things don't change. A little pricey for what you get but not bad
I have to admit, I didn't really have any high expectations. I was merely in the area and really hungry. First off, I must say, I love the fact that they throw not one, but TWO icy mugs of beer in front of you. Not the best selection of drafts, but enough to find something that will suffice. Clouded Dream by Saranac hit the spot. For food I ordered the California Pasta. I went with the salad over the soup.(Choice of either or) Within very few minutes the salad was slid under my nose. The salad was great. Fresh ingredients. Amazing Italian dressing! Before I was done with my greens , the bread shows up , winking at me with it's whipped herb butter. Just as I set my clean salad plate aside, my entre shows up in all it's glory. Damn this dish was GOOD! Homemade pasta, and cooked to perfection. Just slightly al dente. So so good. Totally impressed. I left with a full belly and a smile. Service gets a 4 outta 5. Would definitely recommend. 😉
Drink service was slow. Food order came correct and tasted good. Delicious bread. Music was way to loud. We couldn't even hear one another.
Service was great! Server was friendly and attentive. The food was okay. The chicken riggies had giant pieces of green pepper and the sauce had zero spice. Utica greens were great. I had a wedge salad with steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My husband's chicken parm was underwhelming.
Came here on a Monday with my family, we were promptly seated and served, however once our food arrived our server wasnt very attentive. My husband and I both ran out of water quickly and I had to flag someone down to ask for more. We ended up sharing my 2nd water because we were only brought 1. The food was good but my husband and i didnt order italian this time and (having lived in the area a decade ago) I recall that its very good and the other sandwiches were just ok. Next time ill stick with the italian, but there will be a next time! Looking forward to returning again when we pass through the area.

Utica, New York is known for its amazing Italian food. I was disappointed with my recent visit to Carmella's Cafe. The food was average with very little attention to detail except one of the appetizers. The arancini (rice balls) and sauce were really good. I'm can usually tell right away if I'm going to like an Italian restaurant by the bread service. Their bread in this occasion was very average.
Service was fast and friendly. Our server was attentive and accommodating. However 3 out of 4 of us ordered Italian (ravioli, chicken parm, & rigatoni) and none of us liked the sauce. Had a very meaty taste to it. Enjoyed the bread & fries. If I return I will order something without sauce.
Overall...a good dining experience, as I've been here many times! HOWEVER, this time, when I ordered the Chicken Parm special it didn't have much sauce (not enough for the entire piece of chicken)! Since I knew this was probably going to happen, I ordered extra sauce when I ordered my meal! The extra sauce, however, didn't come at the same time my entree did (I was halfway done)! The second photo shows the "extra" sauce! Hell...I don't need a huge bowl of sauce!!! That's ridiculous !! I just wanted some extra! I know why they do this!! So...you can charge for the extra sauce!! I know that sauce costs money...I understand that! But, you're already charging $19 for the chicken Parm! No need to charge extra for the occasional customer that wants a little extra sauce, and if a lot of people want extra sauce, then you're not putting enough sauce on the chicken, to begin with! I'll still patronize Carmella's, but probably not as often! However, on a positive note...the server was excellent!!
We had breakfast. Home fries we're cold, toast was cold. Service was slow. Never offered refills on coffee. Prices for high 70 dollars for three people.
Definitely not like it used to be. Food was meh. Brought out wrong dish for one of the guest. And then the other person got their food 20 minutes after we received ours.
Generally a very nice place for a meal. I asked the hostess for a quiet table and she seated my wife and I directly under a music speaker and adjacent to the kitchen/bathroom doors. The music was so loud I could not hear the server nor carry on an indoor level conversation. The food was delicious and promptly served. The server courteous and polite. My recommendation: listen to your patrons and turn down the music so patrons may converse. Thank you

Food was cold ...juice was warm ..and $6 for a single piece of french toast ..stick to dinner the breakfast that i remember being good was not pretty dissapointed
Second time this has happened to us here. We place are order then 15 min pass and waitress comes back and says your entrees come with soup or salad so we tell here what we want now 10 more min pass soups and salads come out 2 min later enters show up like seriously we just got our soups and salads. Staff needs too be trained better when taking orders. Don’t even give customers time too eat there soups and salads. Also waitress never asked too take dirty plates off table which left us with plates and bowls we were done with piled on table. Then we were brought our check and never asked if we wanted dessert which all 3 of us did but after all that we just experienced we said nevermind paid our bill and got dessert somewhere else’s. This situation won’t happen a 3rd time as we won’t be going back.
Food is mid. Service is hit or miss. Last 3x I went I left after not being served or given a menu after 20minutes of waiting (asked host multiple times for a waiter) At least give me a beer Other times it’s ok sit at the bar
Ordered chicarini soup was more pasta than soup, onion soup was filled with onion skins and edible parts of the onion. Fried fish super poor quality, frozen Cisco type, over priced, $21 for a piece of fish! Meatballs had more bread than meat. This was the second time we tried and it was worse than the first time. Will not be returning.
The food was mediocre at best. For the salad I got which was WRONG! I ordered grilled chicken and I got fried . Go figure. . All the employees were eating their lunch behind us at a "special table" I will probably "SKIP" this place next time I am hungry
We ordered dinner to bring home. There was no delay from either for the 6 pm pickup.we live about 10 minutes away less depending on traffic. The ribs and fries were cold and the ribs were dry. If I had been served this meal in the restaurant it would have gone back!
Second time I been there within a year and I would have to say this time food was not the greatest. Prices are ridiculous for the size of food we got. Bf barely has any spaghetti on his plate with chicken parm. Sausage was only thing he liked. Chicken riggies very bland no favor. Utica greens were gross. Daughter had ravioli only 3 on her plate for that price ridiculous. Salad should be iceberg lettuce. Not what was served. All the chicken we got from the appetizers , to chicken parm and chicken in salad was all burnt. Onion rings ridiculous size. Shouldn't be that big. Moz sticks and spinach dip was the only thing good out of all the meals. For 185 dollars not worth it!! Wish we could get refund. That was just ridiculous. And music was very loud could barely have a conversation.
I've been coming here since it opened in 80s and it's always been my very fav Utica area restaurant until today. First from the time of my last dinner here a few months ago to today.. the prices are horrifying and insane. Like mouth dropping! $16-18 for basic bar apps in this area are nuts! That’s more than some steakhouses! And my fav trio dish $33 literally blew our mind. But beyond that.. the food I have eaten time and time again here over years.. and I have years of photos and videos on my phone ad compared them and can say these dishes came out wrong, overcooked, some inedible, and different plating. The Utica greens I usually find here to be one of the best in the region instead tonight were overcooked, greasy, flavorless and had hard pieces due to overcooking. The bread arrived almost burnt hard and dry as paper. And only one tiny butter for a whole usual loaf. Not at these prices! Almost insulting. The salad came with little dressing. But otherwise good as usual. The Riggies were some of worst of my lifetime the recipe was different or something but dry, flavorless and so disappointing. The lasagna ?as my replacement) was better but also bland and how nuts for these prices you don't even get grated cheese or pepper on top anymore. The lasagna was screaming for some grated cheese! And we ordered the sundae as we thought how could you screw that up and the cannoli cream was fine or okay but the waffle was INEDIBLE hard overcooked and saturated in oil so much that after an hour after leaving al three of us can't get the taste of it out of our mouths. Atmosphere is same charm as over the decades. Staff was friendly. Manager spoke to us and was nice. I waited months to return to this area for my fav restaurant and meal and I couldn't be more disappointed. I hope whatever is happening internally at the kitchen is fixed soon and things go back to same recipes, presentations and cooking styles.

I’m unsure what all the hoopla about this restaurant is. I didn’t want to cook Saturday so I decided to give it a try. I ordered chicken parm for myself ($24) and kids chicken tenders/fries for my child ($8). I easily placed and picked up my order but when I got home I was heavily disappointed!! There was barely any pasta, a spoonful at best, the chicken was very burnt, the sauce was absolutely awful (overly sweet, no traditional herbs or flavor) and I’m certain that was NOT mozzarella cheese it had the distinct tang of a provolone. My daughter’s “chicken tenders” (looked more like random chicken pieces) were also over cooked. I tried eating some of my meal because I hate wasting money, but ultimately I wound up having to cook at home because this food was awful.
Ordered a western omelette menu only says it come with Ham green peppers and onion never said anything about having cheese or mushrooms on it and the eggs weren’t cooked in the middle hash browns were over salted and the price almost $4 dollars for a tiny shot glass of orange juice definitely will not be back worry to say. PS If ur going to just add stuff on people food maybe just make sure that they don’t have a food allergy’s god forbid we read menus for a reason if I knew it had cheese and mushrooms I would have said no to them I’m not the person to send it back this hole thing could have been avoided
When you walk in your greeted emediately. The surveys and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The best part of the food was the appetizer. The main entre was some of the worst food I've ever had at a resteraunt. The Alfredo is far from creamy the broccoli is undercooked and entire heads in the Alfredo. Chicken parm is fried so much its black. And you can taste burnt hamburger in the lasagna. I'd only go again if I were making appetizers my meal. Very disipointed.
The menu was confusing. Some entrees went with 2 sides while others was soup or salad was $5. They brought the wrong entree to my boyfriend. The waitress had very little knowledge of the menu. My salad dressing was too vinegarey. Honey mustard dressing wad not very good. The restaurant is getting too greedy with their prices and you don't get what you pay for. Texas Roadhouse was much better and there was no skimping. The atmosphere has changed too. Not too crazy about the music that was in the restaurant. I prefer Italian style music. This was on Valentines day. The entree that my boyfriend had was too spicy hot. The only thing we liked was the bread.
Ordered the Ceasar salad as my entree side and the crouton was burnt and tasted like fried dough and old oil. My entrees were very good seems like that’s the only thing the whole table could agree that was good. The tomato salad wasn’t even very traditional or appetizing. The riggies were absolutely garbage, seems the only thing done alright was the sandwich my girlfriend ordered. As for myself I ordered the Cali shrimthe sauce was bland the shrimp tails were still on. The service was amazing though when I expressed my feelings of distaste they took it off the receipt.
I ordered the "Best" Chicken Riggies for pick up last night for dinner. I went there and grabbed them and was charged $25 ish dollar. I get home and the Riggies had NO RIGGIE Sauce. I was so disappointed and the food was so disgusting. Who wants Pasta chicken and Vegetables dry? I work in the Restaurant Industry and I've now found my new WORST CHICKEN RIGGZIES I've ever had! Over priced as well. Carmella's should be ashamed of serving garbage food.
DOUBLE CHECK FOR UP CHARGES I've always loved Carmella's, especially their chicken cesar wrap. I was alittle let down tonight when I recieved my bill and saw a $5 up charge for the chicken on said wrap. I asked the waitress why I was charged the additional money on top of the $15 menu price. She said that she just had to add the charge and i wasn't misreading the bill. I didn't want to be rude, but pointed out that the menu states Chicken Cesar Wrap-$15 with no mention of an up charge to have the already included chicken in the wrap, nor was I told about the additional charge when i placed my order. She proceeded to say she didn't know why but that the charge was necessary because of how things are now. (My sister had a buffalo chicken wrap and did not recieve an additional up charge for chicken) When you go please double check with you waitress for any additional fees that may not be on the menu!!! I understand that things are more expensive but $20 for a chicken cesar wrap seem excessive.
I worked a long day doing some construction work/ clean up for my elderly grandmother. I was sore and didn't feel like cooking my steak for the end of the day. To preface this, I absolutely LOVED this restaurant before last night. To the point, I took my wedding party of 9 (thanks covid) to this place and we had a blast I never had a bad dish until last night. I ordered a 10oz Sirloin steak Medium Rare with a side of spaghetti and coleslaw. This was about 23$ for the plate. The Steak was INCREDIBLY BLAND as in no seasonings, herbs, garlic, onions, or mushrooms. Nothing to work with! The spaghetti I thought might redeem the steak. NOPE. The spaghetti dish tastes like someone poured tomato soup on it and called it done. I was incredibly disappointed with the dish where I may never come back again. I felt like I was ripped off. My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan and hers was the quality I expected. Needless to say, I would rather pay an extra 50$ and go to Delmonico's in Utica.
My husband and I went out to have a nice dinner, waitress Emily was new and very nice. We both ordered there famous Chicken Riggies. Let me put it nicely, they sucked, no flavor, dry, it tasted like eating paper. The manager never came out to address our issue which I feel is very bad customer service. You get a 0 in food in my book, and I will never eat here again.
If I COULD put a zero star I would. The atmosphere is an incredibly HORRIBLE and toxic. All I could hear was yelling and I could see the uncomfortableness and fear on the workers faces because the manager was yelling and being incredibly disrespectful for NO reason.
I used to absolutely love going here to eat for the great food and warm welcoming atmosphere. I can’t say that anymore as the last few times I have been here with my family I have heard yelling coming from the kitchen. I can feel the tension and see the uncomfortableness written all over the servers faces.. I can see management has a serious problem treating their staff the way they deserve to be treated . I can’t bare to bring my business to this clearly toxic environment anymore. The owner should be embarrassed and ashamed to allow the management to treat their employees so badly. Please do better!
It's probably been 15 yrs since I've been there. And it was a good reminder why I don't go there. Food is bland. Portions are so small it's borderline insulting. And not bashful to charge like they are a 5 star restaurant. McDonald's would have been better..
Y'all this place is ROUGH. Prices are crazy for what it is, 20+ dollars for any pasta dish is crazy, especially when I can make my own pasta at home for half the price and have it taste way better. We got a large pizza and the appetizer sampler. The onion rings as shown were disgustingly huge and oil soaked, the cheese ravioli was ok, and I’ve had better pizza at gas stations. One waitress rudely threw the bread on the table while walking by. Beer served in the bottle, not even in a glass. And there’s NO taste in anything, and i honestly don’t know how they manage that! Our waitress was nice but that’s all I can say for this experience. I’ve been here before but it’s never been so bad before I felt the need to make a review. Avoid this place.
Prices are absolutely outrageous for what you get. Ordered 3 entrees for takeout with a cost of 67 dollars - cheese ravioli, eggplant parmesan, and a burger with fries. The burger and fries were ok but, honestly, Wendy's is significantly better and less than half the price. The eggplant parmesan was inedible. The pasta that was included was undercooked, the eggplant was disgusting; so much so that my dog refused to eat it. The ravioli was hard and cold. Maybe eating in restaurant would be better, but at their prices I won't ever find out.
