Had chicken and a couple of pasta dishes. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Was there for an event, would recommend coming to this space.

Went for the first time with my fiance last night and oh my goodness. Loved the atmosphere, loved the staff, and the food was so amazing! It felt like a mix of cozy yet stylish! The food was flavorful, tasty, and hot. I had the Chicken Riggies with mushrooms and cherry peppers, bursts of flavor in every bite! My wife has the homemade stuffed shells. She said they were very tasty and they were large.

Come for the food, come back for the rotating drink menu. We kept making the mistake of thinking this was a small dive bar or pizzeria. Well, it kinda is, but one that also is a large family restaurant with really good food. Can always find a seat with minimal wait, and its open during real world hours, not utica hours, which means its become our regular go to.

One Genny has a wide selection of food, so you should find something for everyone in your family to enjoy. I’ve always had great service, but sometimes the atmosphere can be a little loud.

Best pizza in Utica…! Sports bar style food which cannot be topped within the city limits. I know I’m riding a pink unicorn into the sunset when I have my specialty blend of toppings on a UFC fight night. Life couldn’t be better at that moment.

Brought my daughter here today and it was fantastic. I regret not taking the receipt to remember our servers name, but she was a bubbly blond girl that was beyond helpful and so sweet. We got the hush puppies, and I got the lobster pasta and my daughter got riggies, every thing was fantastic. My daughter said they were the best riggies she had in a long time. The whole experience was amazing!!!

This is my new fave for our visits to New Hartford! The food is creative and fresh, garlic knots the size of your hand, made on site, the brie & fig burger was simply delicious. Sounds weird, I know, but truly scrumptious. Nick was our waiter on Monday, Kristen, on Tuesday, and both were super polished and professional. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and the front garage style doors open to the street. Beautifully decorated, lots of room, two bars, and a pizza counter if you want to go that route. Great value, especially for the level of cuisine offered. A must try!

Food was great Pizza was an every chicken wing and the sandwich was a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Only complaint was it was a tad dark inside for a 130 lunch.

One Genny wasn't exactly what I had imagined, however, it was a fantastic experience. The menu has a pizza shop feel to it with a classier dining experience. We had a variety of items off the menu and weren't disappointed by any of them! Prices were reasonable as well. For beer lovers, there is something for everyone. As a newer establishment, I suggest giving it a shot.

Food and service was great. I just found out they have new outside dining and can't wait to try it out next summer.

Ordered 2 subs to go a couple nights ago. The young guy on the phone was so friendly and helpful. Went in and the security guard welcomed me and was joking around. Then the guy at the front desk who ended up being the one who answered the phone helped me. His name was D. He was so outgoing and friendly. He really made the whole experience great! Definitely be back just because of that interaction.

**What a turnaround — we’ll definitely be back!** A few months ago I left a less-than-great review of One Jenny, but after returning last night, I felt it was important to share just how much things have changed — **because this visit was fantastic.** From the moment we walked in, the vibe was completely different. We were greeted at the door with laughter from the bouncer and awesome 90s tunes from my favorite local band, **Showtime**, setting the tone right away. Service was on point all night. We were seated in our favorite booth — far enough from the live music to comfortably hold a conversation, but still close enough to see, hear, and even dance in our seats (lol). We started with a small cheese pizza as an appetizer, and it was great — perfectly cooked with that ideal stretchy cheese. For dinner, one of us had the steak, which was cooked to perfection, and I had the bacon beer cheese burger, also cooked exactly right. On a wicked cold and snowy night, this was the perfect place to escape the weather and enjoy great food and atmosphere. It capped off a fun night after watching the **U.C. Pioneers kick butt in hockey**, and honestly reminded us why we loved this place in the first place. Huge credit to the staff and management — this was a night-and-day difference, and we’re really glad we gave it another shot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Forgot to take a picture before I started housing this but I got the cheese tortellini with garden vegetables and added grilled chicken to it. It doesn’t look like there’s a sauce but it’s this incredible light delicious garlic sauce and honestly the chicken complements it perfectly. Definitely the best thing I’ve ever gotten here. ❤️

One Genny catered for my wedding in Oriskany Falls. The owner followed up with us as much as possible and had the best communication from the year before the wedding until the week leading up to the wedding. The bartenders are on top of their game. The bar manager made a drink testing appointment with us and catered to everything that we wanted. They were our least problematic vendor. The food is amazing. Many people told us that this is the best food they've ever had at a wedding. They were very organized, professional and friendly. I could not recommend them more.

Genuinly impressed with this place! Such a huge menu, yet everything we got was absolutley fantastic. HIGHLY recomend the spinach artichoke dip and the fig and Brie burger! Service was fantastic and there is plenty of seating to accommodate large groups if needed. My only piece of feedback is that I wish there were half portions or smaller portions. The cost is worth it for what you get but its so so so much food no matter what you order!

We had my daughters baby shower upstairs. It's really a very nice large space. The bathrooms are upstairs. They're large and clean. Very nice. It was decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations. The baby shower decor went well with it! Our hostess Rahea was extremely helpful and beyond efficient. She made the whole process, from buffet service to gift opening and clean up seamless. We all appreciated her so much! The food was fresh and delicious and hot. I'd recommend this venue for your event. Felicia was the coordinator. She was very helpful and was responsive to my questions. They are very busy, so call in at least 2 months in advance.

Guys the food was amazing. I wanted to try the greens but the waiter said they did not serve them without meat. There was an excellent jazz band who engaged well with the audience. The blackberry margarita was a first and again great. The waiter was not the best at all. She was in a hurry, slamming our plates in the table and didn't return to refill our drinks. The atmosphere and food outweighed the poor service from the waiter. I had the fried haddock as a carry-out a few weeks back and decided to dine in for pasta and wings. I will be returning.

One of our favorite places to eat! I have had take out MANY times and have eaten in the restaurant about half a dozen times. The food is well above average, and the menu is extensive. One of the things I really like is that they have dishes that you really can't find in other places. One of my favorites is the shishito peppers. They are a mild pepper, not hot at all... they blister them and serve them with a delicious lemon sauce. They are really quite good and a unique item I have never seen before anywhere in the area. They make a great pizza as well! Other recommendations are the fish tacos, fish fry, and the pastas as well. And they always have a really good specials selection. The only thing I could say as a tiny negative is that sometimes their burgers are a little underseasoned...which is not at all a big deal - that's what salt is for. Underseasoned is wayyyy better than over... Inside the restaurant is a very comfortable place, the servers are speedy and attentive. The only detractor is that if the place is full, it can get rather loud.

Pretty good food for good prices! The atmosphere is pub-esque with on-the-darker-side lighting. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed every last bite of it. The portions were on the larger size (which is good if you're always left hungry after a restaurant meal). The servers were very attentive and kind. The beer was fairly priced. Overall 4/5.

Vibes are excellent. Great place to bring a big group if that's what you're looking for. Drinks and food are solid. I was slightly disappointed with the pizza as the crust is a bit too soft for my liking. Considering it seemed like they had a nice setup for their pizzas I was expecting better. The sandwiches are very good though and quite big.

I'll start with the elements that were the highest in my regard. First, the drink menu items we got were quite wonderful, so I highly recommend checking out their drink menu. The garlic knot appetizer was quite good--two of us split a single one, as they are quite sizeable, with a crisp outside, soft,warm interior and wonderful dipping sauce. Also, I found the service quite excellent. I saw some reviews here that complained about slow or poor service, but that was not the case with us, so I can't agree with them. The atmosphere is very bar-and-grill. I've been to places that leave you feeling like you're sitting at the bar wherever you are, but this place did not leave me feeling that way. Still, it was a rather busy night (on a weekday), and so expect a bit of noise, though it wasn't overwhelming. We had burgers from their burger menu, and they were rather good. Not the best I've had in the area, but they were certainly strong contenders. The above would have had me waffling between a 4 and 5-star review, but what ultimately kicked me back to 4 was the dessert. The chocolate cake had a tasty buttercream frosting, but the case itself was thoroughly dry, which was a bummer ending to an otherwise good meal.

Went to One Genny for dinner last week. Food was delicious and service was good. I had the chicken cordon bleu panini and my friend had boneless wings. The downfall was dessert. We each ordered a piece of chocolate cake to go. Take this off the menu! Cake was dry and stale. Disappointing. Especially for $7.50 a slice.

Sitting outside, in the sunshine, was very pleasant. Waitstaff were all cheerful, welcoming, and efficient. We were in a time crunch and they accommodated our need. The eggplant and spinach pizza special was tasty with sliced mozzarella and balsamic drizzle. An interesting combination of flavors. Large beer selection, however missing were craft beers, stouts or porters. I will happily return

Very nice restaurant. Came in for my first time and was happy with lunch. We’d heard about One Genny but hadn’t been able to try until now. My wife and I both enjoyed it. The find was good, the service was good (we did wait a while for our server to come over, but a manager came over and apologized for that), and it’s a cool place. We like the fact that they have nice draft selection. I had their Turkey panini and it was really good. My wife had their fish tacos and liked those, too. One oddity is the address is on Genesee St but you can’t park on the front side of the restaurant. You have to go out back, which can be a little confusing. There is a one way alley to take you around to the parking, but it’s easy to miss. Overall - good food, good variety of beers, good service.

This was our first time. Long wait but it was Father's day. Prime rib was okay, I ordered MR and received medium. Was a bit bland in spots. Will not get again, the other dish was a Cajun chicken. It was also okay. The orange creamsicle drink was the highlight. This is a classic sports bar atmosphere and was great. Service was top notch and fast. Will try them again.

Excellent place for a local experience. Got a table even though it was pretty busy. Was a Thursday night and a Yankees game was on..Got our drinks and apps pretty fast . Our steaks came pretty quick behind one of the steaks was a lil over cooked but they made it right .

This review is only for the beef poutine, which I ordered through a delivery app. Big portion, very presentable, however I was not expecting it to be so salty. This was my first time ordering, so I will try something different next time, and give them a fair chance. In the meantime, I am adding my own ingredients to counter-balance the sodium. Food was prepared quickly and delivered swiftly. No complaints.

This is a popular restaurant and is tailored to the sports enthusiasts with large screen TVs everywhere. I found the food was good, well prepared and handled well by the staff. I had only 2 complaints regarding a review. The noise level was 85-90 dB most if the time. Conversation was a challenge. My other issue was with the cleanliness of the condiments! Salt and pepper grinders ready were nasty, sticky, in need of cleaning. No excuse in my opinion. I went without!

It's all service with this one. The manager cares. That's about it. Also the wings are great but if you want blue cheese it literally costs you almost 2$ a piece for a half a shot glass of blue cheese. Also, if you're not an older white person or a regular, the service dips drastically. Like 30 minutes before you get asked about even a drink. I went several times in a row and it was unbelievable how good the food is versus the staff. Definitely get take out or delivery. Paying extra to dine in here is a bad move.

The poutine is the best thing on the menu. Everything else I tried was just ok. Our server was less than great, we felt very brushed off by her as if she just couldn't be bothered to give us a minute of her time. I don't enjoy trying to give my order as the server is walking away from me, and she did it with the drink order, appetizer order and food order so it wasn't just a one time thing. I couldn't even order everything I wanted because she literally would not give anyone more than 30 seconds to speak before she was trying to walk away. And mind you it was mid-week between lunch and dinner so not a busy weekend night or anything which I could have been more understanding about. The food wasn't good enough to come back I don't think.

An “All In One” dining experience. Pizzeria, Bar, Restaurant, and a little bit of a club all together. The music was a bit loud for us, it was difficult to have a normal conversation. The menu is extensive and the bar is full! We had the green to start… we prefer the greens at Georgio’s. The prime rib was the BEST in town!

I've been here a few times. Service has been all 3 times, the food however was not consistent. First time we shared the loaded fries, Brussel sprouts and I got a sandwich , all great! Second visit I ordered a gazpacho, and burger. The cold soup would have been great but there was an extra ingredient that made it inedible. Last visit, Nachos, greens, tomato and roasted red pepper soup and a grilled cheese. The only thing with flavor was the grilled cheese. We took family here and were sorely disappointed with the evening, especially after such a great first experience. The drinks on the other hand are really good and like I said, service has been great so the food is no fault of theirs.

Bartender wasn’t very friendly. First ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, I got buffalo chicken. Ordered a whole pie because I was never offered to order by the slice. I eat one slice and left the rest. The second time I went in I ordered a steak rare came out with medium at best the rice and vegis were cold.

Nashville hot chicken was big not dry, and no sauce. Poutine was ok, but salty. We will be back and try other options because the menu is huge. Hope to find items that will up our rating.

Unfortunately, this restaurant does not meet expectations. The service is not great. Think 25 minutes wait (and having to ask for a server) before even having drink order taken. 50 minute wait for appetizers -- that were cold & inedible, which they took back ... but still erroneously charged us for. The food isn't anything special. I felt bad that the waitress had to deal with everything and received no support from a manager or supervisor. She complained to our table about the front of house (hostess, seating, billing) and the kitchen having "issues". The fries were good.

I've had good experiences here before but the past couple have just not been good. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich most recently. The sandwich was cold, the chicken seemed like it was fried a day or two prior and they didn't make a very good attempt to warm it up. Also, the outer 1/2 inch of the chicken was all breading that was VERY hard to bite through. The tomato was the most prominent part of the sandwich and that's not what I was looking for at all. The batter on the onion rings wasn't cooked all the way through and was chewy and unpalatable. I ate less than half the sandwich before sending it back and just leaving to get food elsewhere. As I've stated from the beginning, they need to cut down their menu A LOT and focus on doing a few things well, instead of many things poorly.

We ordered takeout, it was our first time to try this restaurant. We are not impressed and it's highly probable that we will not be back. The food was cold when we brought it home, 10 minute drive, and the majority of items were not good tasting to us. A fish loving spouse didn't want to finish fish fry due to taste. Wings were slightly overcooked. The marinara sauce served with sticks was warm and had an unusual taste, plus it was served in same container as sticks this flattening/broke majority of the sticks. Lastly the fried seafood order came with warm shrimp cocktail sauce, as well. The shrimp tasted good but the other items were sampled but left behind .

This place is okay to go to for a meal if you are eating at a table. There is a good variety of food on the menu and it’s beautiful inside. It is NOT the place to go if you like to sit and eat at the bar. I’ve given the bar 10-12 tries (sometimes for food, other times just for drinks) before making the decision to never go back. The bartenders do not make eye contact, it’s almost as if they are trained to ignore customers. I’ve tried going at different times of the day and different days of the week just to make sure that it wasn’t just a couple bartenders. One Saturday afternoon, there were only 6 of us at the bar and the bartender still managed to ignore us most of the time. We were served 1 drink within 2 hours. At that point, we popped over to the bar at Cafe Canole and had amazing service. I really wanted to love it here since it’s close to my home but the service is awful. Don’t waste your time or money.

Went today for lunch. It was ok but I was shocked that they charge a fee for using a credit card costing me $5 more . People don’t carry large amounts of cash , especially younger folk who live on credit. Plus the piece of carrot cake didn’t fill my cavity.

Food is good but consistantly cool or cold. Im not sure if its pre-cooked and re-heated or what, but for the prices, I would expect better.

We waited over 45 minutes for our food. After the food was delivered, we had to ask three separate times for silverware. Our waitress was rarely present; on the few occasions she came to the table, she would ask a question and then walk away before we had the opportunity to respond, stating, “Oh, excuse me, I’ll be right back.” This occurred two out of the three times we saw her. Notably, there was no urgency or interruption when she returned to present the bill.

Was introduced to your pizza the other day. I thought it was excellent as did my wife. I was planning to order pizza and wings for tonight but your web site is such a mess I gave up and ordered from Pizza Boys instead.

We've come here a couple times in the past so tonight we decided to stop by for dinner. We were sat right next to the bar in the loudest section possible, while the quieter dining room was nearly empty. We sat there for 45 minutes without so much as being asked what we want to drink. Meanwhile other parties were seated (some in the quieter area), got their drinks and even had their food brought out while we hadn't even met our server yet. Never going back.

I got a pepperoni calzone and the bottom of the dough was like hard plastic I told the waitress she went and said she told someone and they did nothing to fix the problem also my prime rib fries and gravy was cold and did nothing there also so I see the only thing they care about is the money not how happy the costumer is so never will waste my money in that place again after I spent 148. Without a doubt, this bar has the worst service I have ever experienced. These bartenders (and I use that term very, very loosely) will walk right past you and avoid making eye contact with you so that they don't have to serve you. It is staffed by a bunch of young, attractive females who think that they're only job is to strut around the bar and look hot. None of the bartenders have any personality at all and seem to get annoyed when you have questions. I will not go back there at all. On a positive note, the food I ordered was really good and it's a really cool looking place and the atmosphere is good.

Went for a celebration dinner got here at 8:30 pm. We ordered our food but the fries were soggy and then when the calzone came out it was burnt to a crisp. We requested a new one and the waitress was rude. She said we’d have to wait around 15 minutes which was fine to us. As the staff was closing the staff took the parm cheese from our table as we were still using it. We asked for dessert to go because we felt the energy was negative coming from her and the staff. Waitress said she didn’t take the calzone off the bill because we had taken a bite which was fine because we did eat it but we never requested it to be taken off she had done that on her own accord. When the food was in the oven already she asked us if we still wanted it and we said we did. She should’ve asked us before it went in to make sure just incase we didn’t. Even if we didn’t we could’ve taken it home at the end of the night to reheat later. When it came time to leave we found out she and the manager were talking crap about us. They said “wait until they’re out before we talk” as we’re right next to them. This isn’t the first incident with rude waitstaff. Unbelievable.

Ordered a Fish Fry thru Delivery app. Food arrived slightly over cooked, no biggie. But the smell of the fish was not good. It smelled like onions, garlic and other foods, I tasted a small piece and it was aweful. I don't know if they use a universal fryer for all fried food or what. Worst Fish Fry I've ever seen or smelled. Unable to eat it with the funky smell and taste. I did eat the french fries. Very disappointed. Will Never again do business there.

Went here again and the service was absolutely horrible. I’m sorry for showing up and providing business to a local company where the server would rather text and chat with friends. And saying that, the food was bland and the fish was overcooked.

Terrible slices and lousy service!! I ordered two slices and both were lukewarm at best!! Not to mention that the pepperoni slice was dry! I left most of the crust, and just ate the cheese and pepperoni off it! The "upside down" slice was nasty (way too much Parmesan cheese)! My server Alyssa, didn't come to my table very often!! She NEVER asked me if I wanted a refill! I had to chase her down several times! She even took my glass, and started to walk away with it, instead of asking me if I'd like another drink! If I was a teacher, I'd give her a "D" for POOR!! This is my second time at this One Genny place, and I'm not sure if I want to return! I've read other reviews on here that also mentioned lousy service at One Genny! Get your act together! Hey...at least the atmosphere is good! 😂😂

Ordered the Italian Ribeye steak sandwich. First one was extremely fatty. Sent it back. They made one wrapped to go. It was burnt to a crisp... I would attach a picture but there isn't an option. I wouldn't recommend...waste of money ..

As someone new to the area, One Genny was recommended by a local, but our first experience was incredibly disappointing. Our small group ordered pizza, fries, and a calzone, amongst other things. The calzone arrived undercooked and cold inside (still frozen?!) and all the fries were soggy and barely warm. I could do better in my air fryer at home. One person in our party ordered a non-alcoholic drink, which was incorrectly made with alcohol the first time and then took a long time to remake. When it finally arrived, it tasted terrible and went untouched, yet we were still charged $15 for it. We understand the concept of paying for something we ordered, but $15 for a beverage with NO ALCOHOL? You've got to be kidding me. Overall, both the food and drinks missed the mark for everyone at our table. We won’t be returning.

I guess?? What? People eat here? The food wasn't cooked, flavor profiles didn't fit, and the sauce?? Was a dressing I'm guessing? So the wings arrived.. I asked if I could have them tossed, and the server told me they were.. so I was confused and asked if I could have them reposted or get a side, because I really didn't see taste smell or have any sauce on them.. having them retossed I see that the sauce just comes off the wing like a dressing. The Brussel sprouts were not cooked... so I got essentially Luke warm /cold in center Brussel sprouts for an appetizer with a pool of sweet sauce.. the sweet sauce didn't do anything for the dish in its current state.. maybe if the food was cooked it could've soaked some of it up, maybe if the sauce was cooked with it, or maybe if the sauce were thicker and stuck to the food, so that by the time I got it near my mouth, I'd still have some flavor on it? I dunno just confused as to what happened there. I still was hungry so I got the nachos and they weren't bad.. just annoyed by the end of it. Service was 2 star cause they acted shocked about the Brussels sprouts and wings.. it's like.. you brought me this thinking I'd eat it? Place was clean plenty of seating. Nice comfy seats and cozy atmosphere. About twice as expensive as I'd be willing to pay for.

12/22/23, lowered to 1 star, deserves zero. ordered pickup, small og nachos, the cheese was so overcooked that the nachos were uneatable. Just a solid burnt cheese mess, see pics. Called & spoke to someone claiming to be a manager who advised since order placed online they would credit nachos & call me back once completed. No call back received, this is now 3rd time recently I received unsatisfactory food & was promised a partial credit which is never given!!!. This order was $90. Every order has been close $100. The quality of food here is now just completely unsatisfactory when ordering delivery or pickup. Probably in restaurant possibly better since you can address immediately. Stop lying to customers & credit when unsatisfactory food is given one genny!! SMH in disgust 11/10/23 update delivery via grubhub was prompt. Ordered Prime rib poutine, this should be served very hot, with cheese & gravy both hot & bubly, cheese curds were hard, cold, not soft, gooey & melted. Prime rib cold & very little this time. fries seemed somewhat warm, not hot. A long black hair was found on top of it, ugh gross 🤢🤮 & Absolutely ZERO GRAVY ON POUTINE! See pics. Im basically Paying $16 for fries with dabs of cheese & few bits of prime rib. No gravy anywhere.... no thanks! One genny are you no longer putting gravy on your poutine? This is like 4th time zero gravy. Asked for extra gravy on side, what i received was not gravy, it was a solid mass / clump of cold gravy. Why?? Sadly it's become obvious if I actually want gravy on my poutine I need to be prepared & buy my own.. or maybe start making my own.. Fish fry used to be delicious but last several have been very flat, not meaty & not worth $16, will no longer order fish fry. Upside down pizza is very good, so far just cheese ordered. Their food can be delicious. But the last 4 times I've ordered its been just awful considering how expensive it is. New cook maybe? Or perhaps they just don't care anymore. It's a shame they don't strive to be better or care what they are sending out to people. I'm not sure if I should just give up at this point. Tired of spending hard earned money on food made half fast & without care. Do better One Genny!!!!!
