Great wings, especially the gold rush and gold fever sauces. Their burgers are pretty legit as well.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Had reservations for 23 people and all was ready when we arrived. The waitress was a doll. I think she was overwhelmed st the end with checks. I don't blame her.. Handled like a pro. I reccomemd the pecan pie tini.. Excellent

Fine service by Ella. She handled our meals ( including my wife's special order drink). very well and was super attentive even during at a busy time. The rest of the staff was highly efficient and courteous as well. Food was served quickly and was very tasty. Was particularly impressed (and grateful) by the special effort to the soothe children at the next table. Good dining experience.

Classic sports bar that serves sport bar food that is actually really good. If you got an American food craving and want some beer check it out. The shepherds pie is also surprisingly good I did not expect it to be on the menu but I was pleasantly surprised after eating it. The wings also are very good.

First timer. My son took his mom and I there for mother's day, even though this place isn't your traditional mother's day venue. In addition, this place is a night club/restaurant, so delightfully surprised that it to be as clean as it was I was also surprised that the food was going to be delicious. Portion size was more than acceptable too. If you go here, you have to try their Irish Nachos and their Garlic Fries. I also have to mention the service. Our waitress, Dianna, was incredible. If you want a great, reasonably priced meal, you have to try this place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

My buddy and I drove 90 mins to New Paltz from CT for the Pro Palestine rally. We stopped here for some food before heading home and we had Alyssa! She was amazing, patient and very efficient. The food was VERY good and came out quick. Prices are also very reasonable. Would love to come back in the future!

Food here was hearty and delicious. I ordered a cowboy burger and chili on the side and they exceeded my expectations. As for the dining environment, the only downside is that if you eat at the bar, the music is pretty loud. They could probably lower the volume a little bit. But otherwise, great food.

Went to college in New Paltz over 10 years ago. McGillicuddy's back then has given me so many great memories. Wing Nights especially. I've gone back to visit a few times and Cuddy's is a must to go to. My favorite menu item is the spinach and cheese bread bowl. So delicious! Being there brings me back to some of my most favorite memories with some of my favorite friends.

I prefer to go during the off season when college students are away. Food is great, I recommend the wings and loaded fries. Restaurant transforms into a dance club late nights on the weekend. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend.

My wife and I would stay at this cute airbnb in The town of New Paltz NY it's called the tree house because it's actually up a tree with steps its design is parisian .While visiting this wonderful town we would not miss eating at Mcgillicuddys. It is about a 10 min walk and seeing the old stone houses was amazing. When you walk in the waitress is welcoming and the atmosphere is good .you have to try the Wings ! Voted best in NY yes its that good.the burger is really good .the drinks will make you smile for sure. There are other restaurants in the vincity but Mcgillicuddys stand alone .

Nice Irish Pub on the main drag in New Paltz. Super friendly staff, we were seated right away. Lots of TV's blaring on a game day so be aware of that but was not an issue at all when we visited. Fantastic beer selection and plenty of other drink choices. Had the Irish Potato soup. Excellent flavor and served quickly. Shared the Turkey club and a side salad. Fresh turkey, generous salad, both were delicious. Pricing is very fair also. Parking can be tough but there is a lot behind and up the hill where we were able to pay via an app. Lots of food choices in this college town but this is a nice, well run place so we will go again as we pass thru the area.

The food here is excellent. Wing sauce game is strong! They also make a great Spinach - chicken - cheese dip in a sourdough bread bowl. I will say their prices have gone up a bunch and dining in service is challenging to get served in a timely manner. But you have to let it go. Because yummy wings and spin dip are too good 😊

This is a classic place to go. The service is great and the food is good. The honey Buffalo wings either boneless or bone in are delicious. If it’s not busy the food comes out pretty quick. I don’t go here that often anymore but still like going every once in a while.

Very good place and party place. Street looks like an happening place during the weekends. We stoped here while on the way of our trip searching for diner place and we found and went thinking like a regular sports bar. But looking inside it is so good and we loved the inside architecture. If we get chance we will definitely stop by again.

The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The fries were great!! I ordered fish and chips. The batter was terrific, nice and crispy; fries were among the best I've ever had. The only issue is that the fish was 4 fish sticks, more batter than fish (although the batter was excellent).

Have been here for food, and the night life- definitely a great place for those who want a "taste" of the bar scene, but don't want to fully commit to not being able to move or hear anyone. It's not super loud, but you still dance with a bunch of people and listen to some music with friends. I'd recommend Friday nights for a quieter scene, and Saturday for a full bar! (Keep in mind New Paltz is a college town, if you want little college kids, go during the winter / summer! (Drinks are kind of expensive- and seemed to change based on who ordered them?)

As a resturant, the food and cocktails are great and are reasonably priced. After hours, this place turns into a bar/club. It's usually super crowded...especially when college is in session. There usually isn't any cover charge to get in, which is nice. If you enjoy dancing...this is a good place to go.

Great food. I had the fried mac and cheese bites for an appetizer. Nice and spicy. I had the shepherds pie for dinner. It was pretty good. However, they did change it a little. Put potato chips on top. Great service and good atmosphere.

Love this place, awesome service, big bar, great girlsn kickass burgers. I love my cowboy burger with fries, make sure to pick the garlic, is $2 more, well worth it. I don't drink beer, but they have a great selection.

We ordered take out to bring back to our hotel room because we were so exhausted from traveling. We ordered the sweet Thai chili wings and the chipotle Cobb salad. Both were excellent. While I only ordered take out, the service was friendly and quick. It looks like a nice place so we hope to dine in in the future

I had a great experience here for dinner. It has a nice Irish bar vibe with plenty of TVs to watch sports. The crowd was diverse but became mostly college kids late. I had the Cajun dry rubbed wings and they were awesome. The service was also great. Great beer selection too. Parking was a slight challenge in the busy local street.

Tuesday is $5 burger night. Worth every penny.

Did you ever have a server that was nice enough but just not the warm friendly day of light you always hope for? That was our server on this visit. I get it..it was late, they were probably understaffed so we were nice about it and didn't stiff her...we all gotta eat. Bathroom was a few stalls. It was clean. The paper towel dispenser was empty. It definitely didn't have the college town drinking spot bathroom vibe other local pubs boast. I would pee here again. Follow me for more reviews of where I have been and where I have gone. 🤭

Food was good, but for an Irish pub I was expecting more Irish fare.

Their mac attack is to die for! The inside could use a bit of an update, been the same for many years, but you can't tell its Irish, but I guess its good it not a stereotype. Little pricey. If it had some updates and a bit lower prices on simple meals, it would earn 5 stars. But I understand small businesses dont have the luxury to update whenever and supply chains make the prices. Great place though!

I was in the area and was looking for a good spot for lunch. I'm glad I stopped here! I've passed McGillicuddy's many times but had never stopped in. I was looking for a burger and am glad I came here. I ordered an iced tea, tenders, a burger and the peanut butter mousse. Everything I tried was so good! The bar and seating area was pretty large. You could definitely host a large party here or have a big event in this space. There were lots of seats at the bar, and there were many spacious, large booths. I'm glad I stopped here and found good food in the area. I'd highly recommend checking out this spot if you're in the area.

The guy at the bar was kind of weird but did the job. The food was alright I got the Mac & cheese burger and it was decent. The burger seemed to be a frozen patty but it is what it is.

McGillicuddy's offers an authentic Irish pub experience with a large menu, spacious bar area, numerous TVs, and decent food options. The Irish Stout Chicken Pie I ordered was alright, but it did not surpass my expectations. However, I found the appetizers of wings and salad to be quite enjoyable. With a wide selection of dishes on the menu, there are plenty of other delicious options to choose from. The service was excellent, the prices were fair, and the festive Irish ambiance added to the overall experience. McGillicuddy's is a great spot for affordable pub fare in a festive Irish setting.

We stopped for dinner. The service is really quick here. We ordered a round of drinks - we liked whatever we ordered and they came out pretty fast. Appetizers- Magarita flatbread and chicken wings with the special sauce which was really good. Loved the sauce and the flatbread was really good and crispy. For wings they have around 10-15 sauces to select from. Kids menu - Penne with marinara sauce which was ok ok. Entree- Fisherman's catch which was like a sandwich, not so great but ok ok. Spicy chicken sandwich and the black bean burger were really good. The fries were good and crunchy. The big salad was not our favorites as it was way too raw. Overall the food is good and quick services. The parking is also available easily.

A nice place to go for late dinner on a week night... (considering how everywhere else all closes around 9:30PM...😑) Ordered a starter of nachos and it was very good. (Just too big of a portion for two people lol). The Cali burger was good too, and it came with a big portion of fries. 😆 Overall a good experience.

The food is good prices are okay services not bad. Haven't gone there in a few years.. because before everything was better now it's kind of slid down a bit. Not a bad place to go but not a great place either.

Lots of tvs and seating for sports, but the "cocktails" we ordered were all super sugary and the food wasn't anything special either.

Sports Bar with good food and beer. The burgers are nice and there's a good deal of choice on the menu. Atmosphere is good, relaxed, friendly staff who are very accommodating with food choices. At the weekend they have d.j who comes in and plays, part of the restaurant is turned into a dance floor. No idea what that's like as I didn't stick around to experience it.

This place is alright. I ordered the chicken tenders w/ fries (basic meal). The fries were good. The chicken tenders were awful. They tasted like slimy and fishy. But everything else on the menu is pretty good.

Been coming here for years I’ve known every bar tender forever I went tonight and I ordered a vodka and tonic there was literally no vodka in it at all. Couldn’t taste and alcohol at all had 3 other people try it and they all said the same thing. I said something to the bar tender and he goes “there’s a shot in there” and was rude about it for the rest of the night instead of just putting another shot in it that I was willing to pay for!(and yes I told him that but he ignored me) I don’t recommend the bar tender John I believe his name was. Every other bartender is great but I believe he’s new and doesn’t understand what it means to take care of a customer if today was the first time I came here I’d give a 1 star but everyone I’ve dealt with before has always taken care of me hence the reason I’m still giving a 3 star rating I’ve been going here for years and they have great food and a great menu but the bartender tonight really put a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here for a while. I hope he doesn’t stay long because he’s going to bring the place down, pouring drinks with no liquor in there. Especially being in a college town.

If you're looking for a college bar, you've found a good one! Not my scene, but there was a big age range of people here. Not just college kids, but the majority were. Wings are good and the drinks are reasonably priced. They clear the tables for a dance floor and have a live DJ. It's far superior to that hole across the street.

Waitress threw the menu at my face, brought me the wrong thing and didn’t bring it back, had an attitude the whole time. Like what the hell? Also food is par mid. Nice bar tho. I usually only went for dancing on saturdays and I will keep doing that from now on. Never again

Stopped here for a quick bite with the kida. Definitely your Irish bar/college crowd scene, although they do tailor to families with kids. Food was what you would expect from a typical Irish pub although we weren't happy with the wings, which weren't well cooked and had very little meat on the bones. The service made up for it.

Menu looked awesome was excited to try the food. Got inside sat there for 5 minutes waiting to be seated as all the employees looked over and no one did anything. Finally waited at our table for a good 10 mins as the waitress arrived. As for as the food it was ok to say the least. Ordered a sandwich which came out cold by the time the food arrived. Place seems to have potential but staff needs to get into shape.

Service was better than we’d experienced in the past and our server was lovely and attentive. Stopped in for a World Cup game and ordered a bunch of bar apps. Almost everything was burnt, poorly seasoned or both. Not a fresh ingredient in sight. The nachos had a cheese sauce that was cold and bland. The mozz sticks were burnt to a crisp. The garlic cheese curds were soooo tiny /mostly breading and without any garlic flavor at all. Boneless wings “volcanic” flavor were alot more medium-mild to me so go for a hotttter hot hot flavor if youre a heat lover! I’d probably only come back for happy hour or to catch another game. Decent atmosphere & food but the service needs to better. Upon getting our drinks and food order our waiter not once thought upon checking if we needed anything else or another round of drinks. Instead they were busy chit chatting amongst each other standing right across our table. After asking for a check from a different waiter our waiter finally realizes to ask us if we need anything while we're on our way out. A little too late to the party.

Went there to pick up takeout. Told a woman that I was there to pick it up. She told me she was going to go to the back to check and see if it was done. I sat there for almost 20 minutes and it turned out it was already done the entire time I was sitting there. She didn’t even check.

Got food about a week ago and it was messed up so went back and returned it. Instead of getting my money back I was issued a giftcard. I accepted it and figured I’d try them out again. Ordered a salad today and checked to make sure it was correct and the dressing was missing so I asked for some Caesar dressing like I had ordered. I got the dressing… got home and it’s blue cheese. I don’t know what the rush is over there but the restaurant wasn’t busy at all with two tables sat and one person at the bar. Won’t be back.

The drinks were terrible . I ordered a strawberry lemonade drink and the fruit were rotten . I then ordered a Malibu with pineapple juice and it was literally just juice. The French onion soup was burnt and salty. The pretzels with dip were great until I found a hair in the cheese. The only good thing about this place was the waitress. She was sweet , swift, and apologetic even though it wasn't her fault at all.

Lived in new paltz for a while now and have supported this restaurant so much, either it being going for a meal, trivia, or nightlife. But I no longer can give them money after being treated, and watching other regulars be treated like we weren't people. Recently, it's gotten worse. It's becoming less and less of a safe college bar, with trustworthy workers. It's becoming less and less of a family restaurant. Expect better from restaurants like this.

Just got takeout. Got home and ordered pretzel bites and cheese. Confirmed on the phone pretzel bites with cheese. Get home no cheese. Kind of disappointing since I was trying to just get some comfort food and they didn’t get the order right. Drove 12 minutes there and 12 minutes back to be let down. Unfortunately a one star.
