Opinions de Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar New York
Ayza is an amazing place for brunch. The food is well made and the atmosphere is very calming. I will only mention and provide photos of the menu offerings I personally ordered. All ordering can be done through the QR code which is very convenient. The menu has a decent variety for brunch. I ordered the "Lime marinated chicken tacos" as a starter and the only bad thing I could say is that they only serve 2 tacos and not 5. These were some of the most well seasoned tacos I've ever had. I then had the "La Havana Sandwich". I'm normally not a big fan of Ciabatta bread but this one isn't to hard and the pulled pork combo with ham cheese and mustard etc is awesome! For drinks I had a "Melon Mule" - Standard Moscow mule variant but the Gang Gogh melon vodka had a nice citrus flavor. I then followed up with a "Pier 27" which I believe is well worth it. Makers mark is one of the few whiskeys I can recognize through a cocktail. Cocktails here are top notch. If you read this far, then you know I enjoyed this place. I will definitely visit again to try some of the chocolate selections and cocktails as well as some different menu items.
We stumbled upon this place when searching for a wine bar to have drinks at on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was in the low 80s so perfect for their patio. We specifically did the Milky Way chocolate and wine pairing and it was delicious. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy some wine. They served cucumber water and was definitely a plus to keep us hydrated!
Very delicious spot! We ordered a lot of yummy dishes to share: -Arepa tart (these were our favvvorite here) -Avocado fries (also very good) -Smoked eggplant -Ayza’s guacamole And to end an amazing meal a chocolate fondue which was the best part 😍 The cocktails here are also very good and they have discounts during happy hour! Cute spot to go to for happy hours, date nights and girls nights!!
I walked in this place with my two teenage girls on a cold and rainy afternoon. This was recommended by an office colleague with rave reviews. I have to admit, it is one the best places I have visited. The staff was friendly, place was clean, warm and welcoming. I wanted to try their chocolate and wine pairings but instead settled for their chocolate Manhattan cocktail. Loved it. The girls had the chocolate lave cake and the chocolate ganache. Sinful and totally heavenly. I highly recommend this place for all chocolate and wine lovers. Had an amazing time!!!
Updated August 2022 Still a great spot. Food is great. I just hate the way you have to order there. You can a QR code and then have to place your order in an app. We were very hungry and tired after a full day at the Javits and didn’t have the patience for that. You can call the server in the app but no one came. Eventually someone did and we ordered through her and it was fine. She quickly diffused the bad situation and all was ok. Went for an early lunch on a Saturday and we were the first ones there at about 11:30 am. Small breads with ricotta cheese (instead of butter) was yummy. I had the watermelon salad which was delicious. Light and airy. They didn't overload it with dressing. Just enough. Another had the avocado burger and it was phenomenal. You can't really eat it like a burger, but she chopped it up into a beautiful salad. She won't need to eat avocado for a month! The drinks were inspired. Pictured is the bloody Mary which was beautiful and tasty. Rim was dipped in salt and old Bay? Yum The other drink is their iced tea. Plain old iced tea but served like a specialty drink. 2nd time there and will definitely be back.
In LOVE with Ayza!!! The food is really good, the stuff is welcoming and so nice, the ambiance is amazing and the trolley is a plus! Tuesday is girls night out, chocolate coveres stawberry and choc shots for ladies for FREE. Sunday is couples night out: special rose petal table for couple + candles + choc truffle on AYZA Every other Monday is live Jazz 6-9pm. Happy Hour Mon-Fri 4-6pm You should definitely try it out!!!
Such a cute spot! The drinks were phenomenal & so were the foods. This place is great for lunches, cute dates and what not. We enjoyed it so much. I highlyyyyyy recommend the lychee berry drink it was so creamy & delicious. The chocolate fondue was so decadent and I enjoyed all of the cheeses on our little charcuterie board. I wish the pizza was slightly bigger but it was soo good I’d totallly come here again. It’s deff worth it.. now my group & I we were seated outside which was great.. but the only thing I wished for was the bathroom lighting to be better.. other than that I appreciate how you can directly order at any given time based off the app. It makes LIFE SO MUCH EASIER!!! Everything we had we all truly enjoyed.
The food was absolutely phenomenal, from the crispy avocado fries to the rich, creamy burrata. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and truly unforgettable, and the coconut flan was the ideal sweet finish. What truly elevated the entire experience was our amazing waitress, Morgan. She was warm, upbeat, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a fantastic time. Her energy and attentiveness made an already great meal even better.
Boyfriend and I came to NYC for the first time. Was craving chocolate and wine and found this place! Loved it!! Chocolate Martini was delicious and so was the sangria. Presentation of the food was 10/10 You order and pay through an app. Fast service. Will be back if ever in NYC again!
This is one of my favorite places in NYC! Ayza offers an excellent selection of wine, delicious and creative drinks, amazing food, and the perfect vibe for a date. Every time I come here, I feel like ordering the entire menu. This time, I tried the Cacio e Pepe pasta and Burrata salad, and I absolutely loved them. A big thanks to the the manager Coskun and the friendly staff for always take care of me, and provide me great recommendations!
I took my girlfriend here to celebrate our 1year anniversary. We’ve passed by and looked at their menu before but haven’t had time to go, so I figure our anniversary was the perfect occasion and Ayza made it even more special. A cozy, beautiful place with delicious food, a nice bottle of wine, soft live music playing made it such a romantic night for us. You’ll forget you’re IN Manhattan.
I've gone to this place a couple of times before the pandemic and just went back again recently, and it's still just as awesome. The food is great, the service is very good, and the drinks are on point. The inside is extremely small, so I was happy to see they added a covered outdoor seating area which was really nicely set up. I'm looking forward to returning again.
I will put this one in the list of my favorite places in New York. Inside looks cozy and dark but they have the outside spots and "fake bus" with more decorative and more airy. You order and pay through an app so everything seem nice and simple the only thing makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable that we had to wait too long to call the server through the app. We order the Wagyu Cheese Burger - the beef is really juicy and tender. If you don't know what to order, this one never goes wrong. I think it would be nicer if they have a sauce to go with the Plantain chips. White Truffle Pizza - this one is good but not too special and I like the taste of the fresh cherry tomatoes they used. And Angry Chicken Lollipop - I love the seasoning and they put the Awakame in the chicken. For the drink we ordered Pier 27, it still had smoke when they served it. Looks sexy with the smoke and taste really fruity. I definitely come back to try more dessert and their signature chocolate cocktails. I think this is a nice place to hangout with your best friends or have a date.
Ayza NYC is truly a gem tucked away in the heart of the city! The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and chic, making it an ideal spot for both casual meet-ups and special occasions. I was particularly impressed by the diverse menu; each dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. I can't wait to return and explore even more of their delicious offerings!
First, reserve your spot. Secondly, show up- if not you loose your spot and you're charged- according to their website. It's a very popular hole in the wall. However, phenomenal dessert and cocktail place with excelente service. My friends and I went as our final evening todo. We ordered dark chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate earthquake cake and the cake brulee . Each ordered a drink. Everything was top notch. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Music and atmosphere catchy.
I was visiting New York and my best friend (an nyc local) wanted to take me to this place . I have to say I was impressed by the service: everything was done at the proper time , with a smile. When the summer rain started the manager run outside to close the perimeter and the plastic roofing to make sure the guests stay dry! Food : Our assorted platter was garnished beautifully and looked like a piece of art . But I’m not a duck liver connoisseur to talk about the flavour. But we have enjoyed it. (attn the portion of cheese / meat is very small, but it makes you feel fancy and leaves a space for dessert, because, really, why would you come to a “ wine a chocolate “ restaurant and not get the latter). The first dessert we ordered ( the chocolate molten lava cake ) we did not like , maybe due to the sudden summer rain and all the commotion that comes with it the lava cake was almost room temperature (rather than hot) , the ice cream was 1/3 melted and we didn’t like the flavour. we let the waitress know we didn’t like it and she without any hesitation happily offered us a replacement. We went for the first dessert on the menu (chocolate earthquake) . It was out of this world. I’ll give this place a the benefit of the doubt and 5 stars . The excellent service more than made up for the first dessert. I’ll have to come back to learn more about their flavours. I’ll update this review once I do !
Ayza is one of my favourite places to go in New York. I first found it about 4 years ago when I had the most delicious cheesecake I'd ever had there. It was so fluffy and creamy and was served with real melted chocolate kept heated over a tealight. I was so sad that they didn't have it anymore on my recent trip. But I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit as their 20 layer crepe cake was amazing too! I also had their hazelnut chocolate martini. Their chocolate martinis are awesome since they really have a full bodied chocolate taste. I'm not a big drinker because frankly I just don't like the taste of alcohol but I really enjoyed their chocolate martini. They also gave us a sample of a warm spiced wine which was so good as well. They also have a selection of artisan chocolates which are very good. They are smooth and flavourful! Give this place a go!
Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar is the perfect spot for a cozy and romantic night out! The wine selection is fantastic, and the chocolate pairings make the experience even more special. The ambiance is intimate, the service is attentive, and every bite—from the savory dishes to the decadent desserts—is delicious. Whether for a date night or a casual get-together, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
First bit of advice, make a reservation. This place is busy and for good reason, it also isn't huge with only a dozen tables inside and a few less outside. I ate at Ayza on my wedding night, with my wife, toddler and two family members who had gone eloped to NYC. The staff at Ayza had been brilliant and on the night the service and food were spectacular. They looked after us, made sure we wanted for nothing and made it worth every penny. We had a mix of the chicken, steak and wagyu burger meals and everything was perfect. I'd happily go back again. For 5 people, having starters, drinks and mains the total bill came to just over $350 dollars. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for delicious food that is worth paying a slight premium for! Thank you! Apologies for the photos where we'd already started, it looked too good to stop and take the photo first!
Wow Wow! Chocolate and Wine all under one roof eh, inside a Trolley actually. Like Alice in wonderland. Loved the Desserts and the service. Great selection of wines and coffee is available too. Paid Parking garage right next door. Maitre de was most courteous as we were walk ins and yet he seated us in the trolley. Going back many times 💗
Simply a delight. We did brunch on a Sunday at the beginning of June, no one else there at 11am. I am a HUGE fan of 'fancy' grilled cheeses with tomato soup/bisque to dip it in, and I LOVED this one!! Great drinks as well. Was a bit out of the way of my usual 'plan' through an NYC vacation, but would definitely check them out if we stay in the area next time.
I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant atmosphere and exceptional service. But what truly stole the show was the incredible drinks and desserts. I ordered the Espresso Martini, and oh my goodness, it was love at first sip! The perfect blend of rich espresso, velvety smoothness, and a hint of sweetness made it impossible to put down. And then, there was the chocolate... Ayza's Dubai chocolate is a game-changer! The unique flavors and textures were a delight to explore. Overall, Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves fine wine, exquisite chocolate, and exceptional cocktails. The Espresso Martini and Dubai chocolate are absolute must-trys, and I promise you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Ayza, for a truly unforgettable experience. I'll be back soon!
Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar is a cozy, elegant spot perfect for wine and chocolate lovers. The atmosphere is intimate, making it ideal for a date night or a relaxed evening with friends. Their selection of wines is extensive, and the pairing with gourmet chocolates is simply delightful. Service is attentive, and the overall experience is a unique blend of indulgence and relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves to something special! The only downside is 69 dollars per person is required.
What an absolute gem! Discovered Ayza on a recent trip to NY and will definitely be back. The food was amazing, drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was cosy and charming. My partner and I were very impressed by the value for money for an experience of that quality. Thank you team Ayza!
absolutely amazing. Hazelnut chocolate martini is bigger than I thought. Definitely worth the price. The chicken wings are yummy and comes with my favorite Japanese sewed salad under!! The white truffle pizza smells great with truffle!!! And taste super yummy with proteins meat and cheese, and thin slice base. The mock tail is super pretty and only $7. And thanks for the tasting wine. Relaxed from the beginning :) Will definitely come back gain and recommend!!
A small group of us wandered in this past summer while on vacation. Such a dark, cozy place. We had great service! The food is a little fancy for me, but we enjoyed different variations of chocolate martinis, and their dark chocolate fondue. We're coming back for NYE, and I am so excited to visit this place again!
Went on a Saturday afternoon with a reservation. The restaurant wasn’t very full. We opted to sit in the “patio” area. Our server was friendly! We ordered classic chocolate martini and the dark chocolate with wine flight. The chocolates were decadent, the wine just okay. Our food was very good too! We ordered a burger, omelette and the avocado fries. Everything was great. We’ll be back for sure. Definitely for the martinis and a snack!
We had the pleasure of having an early dinner on their patio. I was very early and since they had availability they seated me immediately. While I was waiting for my partner I was tended to and well taken care off! Lately our dining experiences were more on the side of being rushed out and almost feeling like a burden. Olivia was our server and if this restaurant knows anything about business and good customer service they should do anything in their power to keep her! Like mentioned before she was attentive, so sweet and on top of everything! Great recommendation and when I threw an odd question at her she immediately investigated and came back with an answer and solution! The food was great as well, we had the chicken lollipops and the burrata was a fresh take almost like a light dessert, but to be honest, we would come back because of Olivia even if the food would be mediocre.
We visit here every time we are in New York City on vacation. We went twice during this trip. The service is always excellent and so is the food. Camilo is a great server!! I love the braised short rib bao buns and my hubby had the burrata with berries, walnuts and figs. I forgot to take a picture of the bao buns, but I will attach pictures of the burrata and a couple of the chocolate desserts we had after our meals. Yum!!
Great place for a drink with friends or for a date too. They welcome you with a spicy mould wine. The hazelnut chocolate martini was really nice and you could actually taste chocolate and the nuts. It was paired with a chocolate truffle A bit pricey for dinner, but I had the olives for starter and the white truffle pizza as main. Food is good quality. They didn’t have the molten cake, so I took the cheesecake with the chocolate fondue. Everything with chocolate is just their best. Highly recommended
19OCT.2024 A wonderfully, AMAZING afternoon with my friend who lives in NYC(Harlem). This is an elegant, cozy, sophisticated, gorgeous, and alluring spot. This (to me) is a true gem in Manhattan. So glad my friend found this spot. Seating outdoors, beautiful orange trolley car(can be rented for special occasions),and seating indoors. Beautiful lights everywhere and the table seatings are so detail oriented and eclectic. I absolutely love it. The lights in the ceiling are that of the zodiac signs. So we’ll thought out and for sure different. Wonderful way to pay attention to lighting detail. Then evening time (on the bar) slender gold tone soft ambient lamps are put out. The best music play list has such a flow with charm of this spot. Ayza is known for their artisanal cocktails 🍸…chocolate martini is a great start, chocolate 🍫 🫕 fondue, top shelf wines, and champagnes. The customer service is superlative, totally crème de la crème(I know cream of cream…using as an idiom)the best of the best. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the entry of this outstandingly gorgeous place..so welcoming and embracing. Thank you so much for everything everyone who worked here. The customer are super friendly and wonderful.🧡🧡🍸🥂🍫 Coskun, thank you so much for being so exceptionally excellent in hosting me with my birthday celebrations and my friend with her wines and chocolates tasting flights. You were so accommodating, precise, and presented every delectable, delicious, and pallet intoxicating flights in a classy, elegant, and professional way. The entire staff was a wonderful, personal, and professional which is a superb reflection of you. When I come back to NYC, I will have my friend take me here again. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so much. This spot must stop. I know personally that you will be glad you stopped and will be a repeat customer. You’ll be so glad you you read this review.
The costumer service experience here varies, the staff is nice and attentive but you have to order and pay using a QR code i think is really cool, this spot is known for serving the most delicious chocolate martinis, and guess what? Is totally true! My husband and I had a great time dining in the trolley 🚎 outside!!! I can’t forget to mention the food and the fact that is tasty and always well prepared and presented… tomato soup and eggplant my faves
Despite the weekend rush, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within a mere five minutes. From the get-go, the service left a lasting aftertaste, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Our orders for the raspberry chocolate martini, old fashioned, and lychee berry martini were promptly served. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation elevated our experience to new heights. For dessert, we indulged in the cheesecake and chocolate molten cake, both of which surpassed our expectations. One aspect that particularly stood out was the respectful attitude of the staff. Unlike many establishments, we were not rushed through our meal, allowing us to savor each moment without feeling pressured or hurried. In conclusion, our evening was nothing short of exceptional.
Ayza Wine and Chocolate bar checks all the boxes. The ambiance is beautiful with delightful drinks, food and chocolates. We were impressed by the attention given to even the smallest details. My wife and I had a wonderful time at Ayza. It was our first time there and our server Olivia was very attentive and made some great suggestions from the menu. Not only were our cocktails delicious but they were like pieces of art. They had great options for appetizers and main courses were beautifully presented and tasted great. This has to be the best outdoor dining experience in NYC. You can even dine in an authentic streetcar parked outside. We will go back soon and try more of their cocktails, exotic cheeses and chocolates. We definitely have to have another chocolate martini. It’s a very unique experience and we highly recommend Azya It’s a great place to go on a date or with friends.
What a nice little gem we discovered while searching for a place to have lunch. They have a lovely terrasse, a little bus to eat inside which is pretty cool. The servers were amazing, so attentive and brought us little chocolate, little sangria drinks. The food itself was very delicious, full of flavour and the drinks as well were well made. I would recommend trying this place out if you’re in the area. I would go back, and try something else.
This place is a wonderful concept bar! 🍸 Ayza Wine 🍷 & Chocolate 🍫 Bar serves an amazing selection of Chocolate Martinis, Chocolate Fondue 🫕, chocolate snacks 🥨, and more! The place is beautifully decorated 🛋️, staff 👨🍳 is friendly, and the service is quick! ⏲️ Ambience 🎶 is wonderful! I wish I came here sooner!
This is one of my favorite places to bring visitors. Everyone always seems to love it. Have been coming here on and off for years. The vibe is excellent, food and wine is delicious. Sometimes I've experienced inconsistent service and occasionally the music is too loud for my taste but friends love it so I keep coming back. The chocolate martinis are incredible.
The chocolate hazelnut martini was delicious and it even came with a piece of chocolate. The crispy shrimp dumplings were full of shrimp and perfect. The humus was fresh and tasty and the pita bread soft and warm. Definitely get the goat cheese salad 😁. I would definitely eat here again.
What an atmospheric place! Outdoor troyley is perfect and cosy. And the kitchen... even better! It's been a long time since I've eaten such outstanding, slow-cooked beef on wine, served with puree, accompanied by mushrooms and spinach. Delicious and full of flavors that melt in your mouth. 10 out of 10!
Very Original ! I went for a drink with a friend a few weeks ago and heard about their brunch and the chocolate fondue … I had to go back and check out with my family ! For an absolute full experience, we asked to be in the Trolley … an actual real one converted in a dining room ! I made a reservation the day before. I suggested my husband to try the chocolate martini and he was not disappointed. I tasted it and it was very « gourmand - gourmet » 😍 I had the antioxidant Margarita, one of my favorite cocktails there ! We ordered a burger, a breakfast sandwich, a mushroom omelette, French toasts and to finish… the Chocolate fondue !!! I am in love with the chocolate fondue ! The burger, the sandwich and the omelette came with a very much appreciated salad on the side. Rachel was our waitress and she was adorable ! She even remembered me from the other time. The rest of the team seemed very nice, one of them offered to take a picture of us…. And it’s a nice photo. I recommend !
Review for Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar From the moment we stepped into Ayza, we were captivated! The ambiance is truly enchanting, with a stunning constellations ceiling that sets the perfect mood for a memorable evening. The wine and chocolate pairing was exceptional, showcasing a delightful selection that perfectly complemented each other. We also indulged in an amazing cheese plate that was a highlight of our experience. The combination of flavors and textures was simply divine. The trolley outside added a unique touch, making our visit feel even more special. Every aspect of our experience—decor, staff, food, drinks, and service—earned a solid 5 stars. I can’t recommend Ayza enough! We can’t wait to return!
Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar is an absolute gem in the heart of the city. This quaint restaurant offers an intimate and mellow ambience, incredible service, and many delicious and unique menu items. They offer an amazing selection of chocolate martinis that are to die for, and delicious food that will make you want to try everything on the menu. Another unique feature is the trolley parked outside that is used for outdoor seating. They also have a great happy hour special Monday to Fridays from 4 to 6. This spot will definitely become one of your favorites once you visit.
I'm in New York for a few days and passed this Ayza on my way to my hotel. I'd been craving chocolate, so stopping by was a no brainer. I had a wonderful experience and I've already recommended this restaurant to others. I had a simple "Girl Dinner" - A classic chocolate martini, which is paired with a special truffle, shrimp dumplings and the house white Chenin Blanc, during happy hour. The service was great. David was very attentive and stopped by several times to chat and explain some details about the restaurant. I found myself gazing up at the lights several times to identify the many constellations, designed into the lighting. Overall I would definitely go again, next time trying more of the menu.
I had such an amazing time at Ayza Wine Bar! The vibe was perfect for a girls’ night out – super lively yet cozy, with plenty of space for a larger group. The Chianti wine was a hit, smooth and flavorful, and we all loved the Dubai Chocolate mulled wine – it was so rich and comforting. Also we tried angry chicken lollipop & burrata which is tasty appetizers. The hot spiked apple cider was another favorite, warming us up with the perfect blend of spice. The staff was so cheerful and friendly. Service was fast and attentive. It’s definitely a great spot for hanging out with friends, and I can’t wait to go back!
Updated ——————— Stopped by on the weekend hoping to enjoy a Chocolate Espresso Martini. Unfortunately, compared to my first visit, this time the espresso and martini flavors were quite muted, with an overwhelming chocolate taste that left me disappointed. The balance just wasn't there—more like a sweet chocolate drink than a proper cocktail. Hoping they'll dial back the sweetness and bring back the robust espresso kick in future! —————————————————— I had been wanting to check this place out for a while, so I finally stopped by for an afternoon drink. I'm a huge chocolate fan, but since I wasn't super hungry, I went for the Chocolate Martini without espresso. It came with chocolate chunk powder sprinkled on top and a truffle chocolate on the side. The combination of the martini and the chocolate was pretty good! I especially enjoyed tasting the chocolate chunks as I sipped. After finishing the drink, I had the truffle, which was a sweet way to cleanse my palate. It made the whole experience even better. The only downside was that the space felt a bit cramped, but overall, I had a great time!
Lovely restaurant that offers delicious chocolate martinis at happy hour prices! I enjoyed my time and will definitely be back. EDIT: Returned and the service was superb! No wait time to be seated, again. My friend and I returned on a weekday early evening. I haven't been here on the weekends but I could imagine it getting busy so make reservations. I added pictures and the food was DELICIOUS. Thank you for a wonderful experience! (Also has a heated outdoor seating option if ppl are interested).
This place is amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, the wine selection is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we tried was delicious and perfectly paired with the wine. Such a great spot for a relaxed night out or a special occasion. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! 🍷
Omg, where do I begin…. The ambience and vibe amazing!!! Food was delicious, drinks were fabulous. Had a cheeseburger, included was melted cheddar cheese and mushrooms. Also came with a salad which was sooo good. This place made thee best chocolate martini. Olivia, the server was also amazing, so sweet and attentive. She made the experience even better, couldn’t have been happier. And the bathroom was very clean and smelled so good with a scented candle. You will not be disappointed…. So happy my manager recommended this place.
absolutely adore this place!! the happy hr is the best- you HAVE to try the winter mule and chocolate martini. They also gave us little chocolate truffles to go with it which were soooo yummy. Service is quick and the space is beautiful!! They have constellation lights and it’s super cozy. also the cat themed logos are adorable. Can’t get enough of it and there’s nothing else like it in NYC. Perfect for a date night or girls night!
Azya was such a wonderful experience! Even though they’re best known as a wine & chocolate bar (and famous for their chocolate martinis 🍸🍫), we decided to try some of their food items — and everything was absolutely delicious. The filet mignon, in particular, is highly recommended — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A spot worth revisiting!
Came here for a drink voucher and omg is it an absolute gem! Host and server could not have been sweeter, drinks were amazing, its a gorgeous bar, our snack was divine…chicken hoisin lollipops with the bonus of seaweed salad, on the recommendation of our server. Would have been very happy to stay for an entire meal if we did not have dinner plans elsewhere.
My friend and I have had this on our list for quite awhile, and, we also had some not in the pictures incl the truffle butter filet mignon & the cacio Pepe and there are other things I will have to go back for, soon! It was my birthday so we shared A LOT of food and it all was delicious along with the cocktails like the different flavored chocolate martinis and another, larger list of cocktails, and next time we will have to try the wine flights with chocolates but we all couldn't decide on what to share as there is a variation with white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and, I was the only one that would do any of them so there was no tiebreaker for my two friends, LOL! Great friendly service & caring staff who want to make sure you have the best time possible, THANK YOU‼️
Ayza is not just a wine and chocolate bar but also a fantastic restaurant with the one of the best chocolate martinis in the city. Indulge in wine and chocolate pairings while sipping on martini and enjoying some of the best foods. Cozy and dimly lit lights brings out the vibe here along with their top notch staffs. Outdoor, patio, and indoor seating is available for your sweet experience. And trust me. You won’t be ordering just one martini but do save room for their amazing chocolate fondue and so you won’t regret it.
If you go anywhere in NYC, please for the love of God go here!!! Service is really nice but the highlight of their entire menu is there chocolate martinis. The plain chocolate martini and the raspberry chocolate martini are truly the best drinks I've ever had in my life. I cannot even emphasize how amazing these are
If I could give Ayza 10 stars, I would! This spot is perfect for a romantic date night. The ambiance is absolutely dreamy—think soft lighting that looks like twinkling constellations scattered across the ceiling. It instantly sets the mood for something special. But let’s talk about the drinks… WOW. I had every single one of their chocolate martinis (yes, every single one), and they were hands-down the BEST drinks I’ve ever had. Sweet, smooth, creative, and dangerously delicious. I’m still dreaming about them. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the whole environment just feels chic, cozy, and magical. Ayza is a total hidden gem and honestly a must-visit in NYC. Date night or not—you’ll fall in love
Such a lovely place! We popped in here randomly, the place was very busy but the lovely staff managed to get us a table. We were meant to have just drinks but we couldn’t resist their unique starters! The avocado fries are from out of this world, not to mention the famous chocolate martini! Such a strong and unique combination. I wish we discovered that place earlier! Totally recommending anyone for drinks or food, their service, atmosphere and quality meets - if not exceeded - expectations. A+++
I visited Ayza during Restaurant Week with my family and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant itself is fairly small; around 10-15 tables. …

The place is very nice. I loved the atmosphere! The food appeared to be amazing! After a good walk around cold city, it was such a good experience to stop for wine and food.

as a someone w a sweet tooth, cannot stress enough that this is the place to go for drinks. didn't really try any of the food but drinks and dessert were amazing for reasonable prices.
Stopped for chocolate martini and dessert. Was delicious. Presented beautifully. Was a bit noisy but everywhere seems noisy in NYC.

We wanted something that was us for our wedding meal after our elopement and this exceeded expectations. The service was amazing. The food fanastic would love to eat here again
Great place! Ambience, service and food are all nice finds in the city; good outdoor seating during the summertime. Chocolate samples are all very tasty!
Awesome food, atmosphere and some of the friendliness staff we experienced in New York. The food was really yummy, great selection and quirky outdoor seating in an old trolley!
This was a great pit stop for some wine and chocolate before the main course. Very nice atmosphere and nicely heated from space heaters. Enjoyed the pay through Toast as it made seamless sit down and leave. The avocado fries were excellent and came with two dipping sauces. The Oyster Mushroom Tagliatelle was lacking in flavor, but still fun to eat nonetheless. We then got the Whiteout Wine Pairing (2 white wines (Riesling and Moscato), and three pieces of specialty chocolate). I am not a fan of white chocolate, so I wish the descriptions would’ve been there to describe them, however I was satisfied with the milk chocolate piece that came with this pairing.
Got the reservations through NYbucketlisters i got the package which was around $90 for two, which included 4 wine testers, 2 martinis and 6 chocolates. There were several food items available. There was indoors outdoor and the tram seating available, i was planning to seat in the tram, it was really cute. We were seating by the door since it was a bit chilly that day we asked to put the heater on. The service was really good and food quality and quantity both were satisfactory. Must go date place if is. Loved it. ❤️
Great food, wine and chocolates. The staff was very attentive. The Rosé was very nice, chocolate martini shots were a great finisher, so yummy and I enjoyed the tapas. I would have given 5 🌟 had it not been for the bugs. We had a large table for our group, outside which was very nice but there were flies...many flies at and around our table the entire time. We had to cover all the plates with napkins trying to keep them off food which was very annoying. I would definitely dine here again and look forward to it but only indoors.
We have been to Azya's during Valentine's Weekend. They schedule Couple's Night Out for weekends of February. We had reserved our table for this event. We enjoyed our time here. They had welcomed us with welcome drink - hot wine, which was our first time experience of hot wine and it was delicious. Table was decorated with rose flowers and candle light. As name suggests, wine and chocolates are their specialty. Also, they are famous for Martinis - chocolate Martini is very popular. We also ordered Pizza and Pasta, which were delicious. Their gourmet chocolates are complimentary in this event. Food was really delicious. Staff is very friendly. We totally enjoyed our time here. Totally recommend for quick bite, drinks and hangout if you are in the neighborhood.
I would give it a 9/10 for interiors and the special props for seating it’s a perfect place for a date they do have special packages for a people of two and wine tasting options with different variety of chocolates …they specialize in chocolate based drinks like the chocolate martini with different flavors..the indoor seating is a small place but they have beautifully decorated the place for customer experience!! Best spot to take pictures and have fun with the martinis
My partner and I came for dessert. The caramelized coconut flan was amazing - perfect texture & sweetness with a crunchy coconut top. Molten chocolate cake? Disappointing. Expected rich flavor, but the chocolate did not deliver. Will be back to try their wine/spirits, especially the chocolate martini!
One of my favorite places in midtown. The chocolate martini is Amazing! I haven't had dinner there during the week but have gone a couple of times for brunch on weekends. The chicken tacos are delicious! The eggs-your-way platter (not sure of the official name) is also really good. Not sure if it's available during the week. I've also had the espresso martini. It doesn't have the chocolate shavings of the chocolate martini but was just as good. They gave us a sample of a sangria. That was the only thing that was horrible. All the servers are great! From the host to the waiters to the managers, all very polite and attentive. If you sit at the bar area by the entrance, you will freeze because the AC is on blast and blows directly down at the seats. Otherwise you can sit in the trolley which is really cute or the outdoor dining area I do wish they were open a little earlier during the week. I'd definitely get a late lunch. I have to see what weekday meals and desserts are offered and will report back. Definitely recommend!!
Fantastic dining experience at Ayza. Drinks were good and the food was served fresh. Service was a bit slow and I’m not a fan of the online only interface they have where you order everything through the QR code and really aren’t attended to. Seems to be a post-Covid theme but one I think we could all do without. The food was all fresh and tasted good, the arepas maybe a little bland but still fantastic. Definitely try the 20 layer cake.
Delicious food - the set menu is a great deal - and chic, glam atmosphere. The service was the only odd part of our experience, as the servers kept bringing out the next course while we were still on the previous course, and then didn't clear away the dirty plates when we were done. A bit strange, but overall a great date night dinner experience.
I had a good experience. I started with the lemon garlic shrimp, then had the lobster ravioli, ending with the chocolate lava cake. The atmosphere is cute and sexy, making it a great spot for a date night. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The service was attentive throughout the night. The only downside is that the tables are very close together, so it can feel like you’re on a double date with the people next to you. Still, I would definitely recommend it for a cute little date night.
A chic and unique wine bar featuring chocolate pairing. Don't let the name fool you - there's also quite a bit to eat here... We actually came for a night cap - had the must-have chocolate martinis, hazelnut and raspberry, both were delicious. We also had a cheese platter and a fondue eith fruit, marshmallows and rice crispies. While the cocktails were stellar - the rest was rather forgettable. But it does feel like the unique combination of chocolate and wine should be enjoyed here. All in all, a very recommended place for the lovers of both wine and chocolate.
The restaurant is a lot smaller than I expected, but it has an intimate ambience. The food and drinks were fine, the truffle pizza was the best out of them all, just absolutely delectable in that cheesy goodness🔥👌 Our waitress was also very sweet. I can only imagine how jam packed this place would be on the weekends though, so I’d recommend coming here on a weekday when it’s not as busy and take advantage of the happy hours as well!
Very busy not child friendly (at night) food is amazing so if you’re looking for a night out in the city this place is amazing. Heads up there’s only one bathroom and it’s gender neutral (ladies lookout) service is great food is amazing the hostess is super sweet. Make a reservation before going you’re better off then just walking in. Avoid the parking garage on 10 east 30 street. They rip people off I just ripped them in a review This parking garage is going to have a negative impact on local businesses by conducting extortion on people who come to visit. Street parking is hard but not completely unavailable and there are other parking garages available! Go elsewhere. But definitely eat here.

I really love the food here. Today I ordered filet mignon but in the past the guacamole is so good as is everything else I've tried. The staff is very friendly as well.

We were able to get a table on Friday nights, without reservations. Our server was very nice and helpful. The food was good, not great. The martini was wonderful!

Great drinks. Come here to drink and you won’t be disappointed. Food is alright, and the chocolates here are fantastic. Great spot to end a long day or to go on a date to. It’s a little cramped when it’s crowded but that’s okay if you don’t mind.
I went here last night for dessert. It took 20 minutes post my reservation to sit down and it took 40 minutes total to get a drink before the manager had to come take our order because the waitress was busy. It was a lovely experience after that, but the service was really bad. The fondue was amazing. The mocktails were amazing and the drinks were tasty. I also wish this place had more than one restroom as it took forever to get in at peak hours.

Had to close out with our waiter because their shift was ending. Don’t see why we have to deal with now splitting two bills, seems unprofessional and it could have been handled without the customer. Brunch also ended early and no one told us this. Tried to order the tacos to find out they were out of them which should have been explained when we first sat down (as long as when brunch ended). Service was slow, barely checked in, also charged us for extra bread when they barely gave us enough in the first place for 5 people. Cleared my plate while in the bathroom before I was done with it
Terrible food, terrible service. Food took forever to arrive, had to wait over 25 minutes for the check after asking. Food was mediocre for the price point. The only redeeming quality was the free …
My wife and I went there to try a chocolate pairing, but they tried to push a three-course Valentine's menu. We wanted to try the chocolate pairing. They refused to serve us because we did not want to be forced into having the full meal.. Never again. They advertise themselves as a bar, but when you get there, they push the full menu. Beware!!!
TLDR: WORST wait times and Low quality food! -It bills itself as a wine+dessert place but the chocolate lava cake and chocolate fondant was really bad and overpriced. The lava cake tasted like microwave ones (they prob get the bulk frozen ones that reheats/bakes). The stuff for the fondant was so F grade... cheap, cold marshmallows, low quality fruits, didnt even bother finishing it. It took 30 mins to get our order placed, after we finished prolly another 30 mins for the bill, just absolutely ridiculous! And they only have one bathroom, so after waiting 10mins we just left. Atmosphere was cramped and loud, with the check in right in the middle, so theres always a rotating group of ppl standing in the middle of the dining area. Just all around terrible experience.
