My favorite Korean fried chicken spot. Soy garlic is good here but it's all about the PS 1 2 and 3. (Pelicans Special) It's spicy and sweet. The level one isn't spicy at all and 2 is not too bad. 3 has a bit of a kick and will build up as you eat more. Get the crispy wings over the normal ones, it's amazing. The sweet potato fries are also very good.

So I normally get my fried chicken from BBQ Olive and I decided to give this place a try cause I got a delivery for here from GrubHub. The half size fried wings was 16.99 and at first I felt like that was a bit pricey. Until I opened up the box, the wings were huge and when I took the first bite. They were delicious and so tasty. I actually was questioning if I wanted to go back and buy another Half Size. They were just that good. Nice texture and Crunch to the bone.

I got the half size drumsticks and wings with the spicy fry batter and tossed in honey garlic sauce. I didn’t expect the large drumsticks but for reference they reheat really nicely the next day in the air fryer. The sauce tasted more like a garlic honey mustard but it was a good flavour combo with the spicy batter. The cheese balls are really tasty but they should’ve been cooked a bit longer because the batter inside was still a bit undercooked. The menu is not easily readable because it’s not posted up on the TV that they have but there are takeaway menus that you can grab and look at but I didn’t see them until I was already ordering. In that sense I wish they would showcase the options better because I could’ve gotten something from their one person set. 😂 Grapefruit Ade was BOMB! Love that drink. Service interaction felt awkward but I think it was just because it’s so hectic in the food court other than that they were friendly given their stressful conditions. 😅 Definitely great food so I’ll be back to try more menu items and flavour combos. Plus so fun to do the coin karaoke after!

Decent Korean fried chicken place in Koreatown. Ended up ordering the wings and drumsticks combo with soy garlic and was not disappointed with the crispiness. The taste is slightly lacking however but then again I enjoy my KFC when it is absolutely doused in sauce. Price isn't terribly insane but there are definitely better Korean fried chicken places in NYC.

Pelicana makes some of the juiciest and most flavorful Korean fried chicken I’ve had. I really appreciate that they cook everything fresh after you order, though it does mean waiting around 20 minutes. The portion sizes are generous, especially the wings — they’re huge, crispy, and packed with meat. The sauces are excellent too, especially the Soy Garlic, which has tons of flavor. Their fries are okay, not the best I’ve had, but they get the job done. My only suggestion would be to improve the takeout containers, since the sauce tends to soak through the bottom of the box. In the photo I shared, that’s the half portion of chicken for $18 — and as a big guy, I couldn’t even finish the whole container, which says a lot about how filling it is. Overall, worth a visit if you’re craving quality Korean fried chicken.

The front staff were pretty friendly and the chicken was really good! I had the original spicy and it was super crispy and juicy. Only downside was that it was so spicy my stomach hurt for the whole evening and morning after

3.5 This location is in Food Gallery 32 on the 3rd fl (but signs say "2nd fl"). Buzzer was given so was able to wait on the 2nd fl. I like wings but the option of a full whole chicken was good -12 pieces. Came with a small pickled radish. Can choose the batter so picked "crispy" =extra crispy. Extra cost for sauces. For a full chicken/1 sauce=$3. But for full chicken/2 sauces= $4. Gloves were provided. Not as messy to eat as the first time we had their chicken (too much sauce that time). Soy garlic was too sweet for me so ate only 1 pc. Sweet and spicy level 2 was described as sriracha level. Was good but not like the spicy soy garlic at other places which I prefer. Large rice only $3. Larger tables on the same floor. Water bottles $1.50 from vending machine; accepted bills, not coins. Restrooms there too- can be maintained better.

I’ve been wanting to try this spot but quite frankly the chicken is not all that maybe is because I came 30 minutes before closing but the oil used to fry the chicken tasted old and the sauce is not all that for them to charge extra for sauce that should come with the chicken . I’ve had better Korean fried chicken . The cashier was good just not worth the price and the chicken didn’t taste the best .

I was in K-Town yesterday afternoon and husband told me to get something for dinner so my immediate thought was our usual spot. Then I saw the raving reviews for this place and thought why not. Entered the food court, temperature taken, and the 15 wait began. Ordered the soy garlic wings regular and was looking forward to how it would compare to others. It was still warm when I got home so that was really nice. Tried it and thought it was tasty but still lacked something to deliver that perfect soy garlic taste. Also not crispy and crunchy and to be fair, it was on me. There was an option to make it crispy so I thought it was the regular korean fried chicken crispness * 2 if I took that option. There was no crisp whatsoever so I'll probably try their crispy option again one day.

I’m writing this because I feel it’s important to warn others. I ordered the boneless fried chicken via Uber Eats for dinner a couple of nights ago, and I have been severely ill ever since. What started as a simple dinner turned into a night of being unable to leave the bathroom, followed by a high fever and chills. As someone who rarely gets sick, it was clear that this was a classic case of food poisoning. It’s incredibly disappointing and, frankly, scary to realize that a meal you paid for could have such a physical toll. I’m sharing this not just to complain, but in the hope that management takes this seriously. There is a clear breakdown in food safety or kitchen hygiene that needs to be addressed immediately. A "thorough check" shouldn't be a suggestion; it should be a standard to ensure no one else has to go through this. I won't be ordering from here again, and I’d strongly advise others to think twice until they can guarantee their food is handled safely.
