Opinions de Blind Tiger New York
If you like craft beer, this is a great place to go. A great variety of beers on tap (bonus points for having multiple great stouts on tap). There is something for everyone. Busy, but not insanely busy. If I lived in NYC, I'd probably frequent the Blind Tiger.
Everyone knows it has the best beer selection but the food is much better than traditional pub grub. The grilled cheese and tomato soup will bring back memories. The beer will help you forget them. Enjoy!!
Stop by here every time we’re in New York. Always a great craft beer selection from local and around the country. Not a huge space, but that’s one of the things I like about it. Feels like we’re actually part of the city and not just at a tourist spot.
Awesome atmosphere. Cozy and nice ambiance. Fireplace awesome during winter. Great beer selection and very knowledgeable staff. Food is always good as well. Prices for the city are really reasonable. It can definitely get a bit crowded after five, but i guess that's a given...Whenever I'm near bleecker always stop by. Do yourself a favor and stop by and try a beer out of your comfort zone!
Simply put, if you like good beer, great food and super duper service this is a must go destination. The Tiger has been doing craft beer longer than half their customers have been of legal drinking age and they show zero signs of slowing down.
Amazing beer spot with a great selection of craft beers, knowledgable staff, and just a great overall atmosphere
Large selection of beers on tap. Pretty small pub with a nice atmosphere, it can get extremely crowded on a weekend night. Mixture of high chairs and small tables and a pleasant fireplace. Service was quick with very short ways regardless the endless crowds. I will definitely come again.
One of our favorite places in the city. The place is usually packed, but we were lucky to arrive at a quieter time and enjoy great seats at the bar. Blind Tiger was featuring mash-ups between the Sierra Nevada brewery and others. Wonderful unique beers that you can't get anywhere else. Mine had ginger in it and it was perfect for a hot summer day. The barmaid also shared samples of many others happily. We ordered a meat and cheese plate as well. What came out of the kitchen was truly a work of art. Served brilliantly with warm pumpernickel bread. Our server was especially amazing. There's a reason this place is so popular.
Go here if you like good beer. Serious good beer. Lots of delicious draft, including Gose, Sours, and other fruity deliciousness from across the USA. They have a daily chalkboard of beers as well as a few cask on draft. Probably my favourite old timey yet good beer spot in lower Manhattan. Bar snacks only - head to the Mexican spot ‘Tacombi’ next door for food before and then spend the rest of your night trying delicious brews at Blind Tiger.
Nice chilled vibe for a Monday night. Cool dive bar vibes and loads of beer options.
Fantastic and ever-changing selection of craft beers. Comfort food available and bar get busy so sometimes takes a few minutes to order. Beer in a nice atmosphere is the main thing here.
The Blind Tiger was recommended to me by my son. It did not disappoint. A great selection of craft beers. We also ate the mac and cheese. Great service and not too busy.
Went for a beer. Great spot lots of options on the board with a mix of styles. Fairly reasonable prices. Insides is nice and not too loud.
The perfect NYC beer bar. A warm cozy atmosphere, complimented by amazing people and a wonderful staff. The roasted cauliflower is wonderful dish that has just the right amount of spice. The Beer selection rotates, however Teresa, and Sarah were completely knowledgeable about everything available and can tour guide you through everything. It's a must stop place whenever you're in the area.
Nice, unassuming and unpretentious bar that serves craft beer in a city that loves its cocktails. It wasn't an enormous selection but it probably had 20-30 beers to choose from, with choices for everyone (including me, who loves her sours). The bartender was helpful in providing alternatives when the website we were looking at had the wrong menu and there was ample seating for our party of 5 to sit and hang out. Prices were pretty fair for craft beer. Would definitely come back if in the area!
Blind Tiger has an outstanding beer menu for any craft beer fans popping in. Tons of options from all the local NY breweries you'd expect. Atmosphere is pretty good, although a little more bro-ey than I was expecting, but it's the West Village. What are you expecting—nothing to be held against the bar.
Great place to find rotating craft in that familiar rustic, wooden-clad tavern feel. Wide selection from top brewers, each tap is numbered for easier ordering. It can get pretty busy, but standing with your group is commonplace and there's plenty of room to do so until so thing opens up.
Turns out Blind Tiger is good at any time of day! While I knew it more as an evening spot, I was absolutely in love with the Green Goddess salad I ordered here at lunch (and even tried a yellow bleu cheese for the first time)! The beers on the rotating menu are always great, but so is the food.
Fantastic beer selection, friendly staff. Great atmosphere.
Amazing staff and amazing beer selection. What more can you ask for? This is one of New York's finest bars and a craft beer institution
Great happy hour. Large craft beer selection and reasonable prices for Manhattan. We also had some food - deviled eggs, chicken empanadas, and nachos - and I can honestly say it was very worth it! Coming from a graduate student on a budget, I really enjoyed this place and I will definitely be back.
Such a friendly and welcoming spot! The drinks menu is fantastic, with a great selection of ales to choose from. It has a quiet and quaint atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. Highly recommend for ale lovers and anyone looking for a cozy vibe!
Best spot for beer in the city. 28 rotating taps - always something unique to pick from, not to mention great food and an awesome staff! Great spot year round - fire place in the winter, outdoor seating and windows open in the summer. Highly recommend!
Treasured memories here at all hours of the day, night and wee hours through the years. Very warm and welcoming place with constantly evolving 10/10 tap line (28 to choose from on this day (!) you order by number for ease), good tunes and people and delicious food. One of the great bars in the five boroughs and personally one of my fave watering holes in the US
Very nice place, we ended there by chance with our 2 teenagers just before the blizzard alert. Vegetable dishes and nice plates, basketball games on display, we recommend ( children allowed only until 8PM)
We had the best time at this bar. Great vibe. Will definitely go again.
My favorite bar in NYC, hands down. I came here for the first time a few years ago when I was getting big into craft beer, and had heard that one the best tap lists in the world was here. It has never disappointed, and I’ve been back about 15 times. The variety and selection is always incredible. Maine Beer Company, Grimm, The Alchemist, Other Half, Hudson Valley, you name it. And tons of more niche microbreweries, local and otherwise. The bartenders are always super nice. I’m a Mets fan and they put on the games sometimes. There’s a family tree of beers on the wall that I could stare at for an hour. And they give you a plaque on the wall if you ask a bartender to join the connoisseur club and drink 50 beers over time. Still on my way in that regard! Be aware it can get extremely crowded at peak hours. Usually it’s not too bad for happy hour or later at night, and any non-weekend day is pretty spacious, but 10pm on a Friday can be pretty slammed. Regardless, if you find yourself in the neighborhood and have the time, stop by and try a couple new beers!
The menu goes well with the beer and the beer is phenomenal. This is an institution and deserves a formal attestation from the beer gods! The quirks that exist are part of the charm and not part of the problem. You will find guides and friends here hiding in plain sight. The selection the guidance and the experience is what matters and that is more golden than what will end up in your glass. Run don’t walk.
Awesome selection of rotating taps with a great variety of beers. Their online draft list links directly to Untappd, so you can check out reviews of their selection before making your choice. Decent prices overall and helpful bartenders. The main bar area can get loud, but there's also outdoor seating (limited) for when the weather is nice and you want to relax. Love this place.
An excellent bar. We’ve been coming here for years. It gets very crowded and boisterous during sports games, and sometimes a very young crowd with NYU down the street, but it’s great in terms of variety. It can be quiet and cozy or a real party. The tap list is excellent, the bartenders friendly and helpful even when it’s busy. 24 taps, and solid nachos!
They have a big selection of beers to pick from and I’m glad we stopped by for drinks. The decorations are more on the simpler side, but there’s several tables and chairs. For people who don’t like bitter beers, I’d recommend their half moon mosaic dream ipa or espresso martinis. We will definitely come back to try more drinks and have more of their espresso martinis. They also have a two drink minimum for credit cards. You can keep an open tab for the night and pay before you leave.
We always stop in when in New York. Great beer joint in the heart of the east village. Great tap list and friendly staff and locals. Never ate here but I am sure it is good. ________________ 🌏Weight Loss Motivation Blogger. 🔥Impressive Weight Loss. She Used This 1 Easy Trick! ⭐New Weight Loss Discovery Burns Belly Fat Like Crazy! Must go beer bar in New York. It's nice to sit down here after strolling around the neighbourhood. Great selection of draft beers, there is always something legendary on tap. Staff is very helpful and friendly and will gladly recommend something if you can't choose. Prices are decent for New York terms. Seating is great, especially outside on Bleecker street. Fun atmosphere, good crowd.
A great spot for craft beers only. Spacious and cozy! Bartenders always know their beers to give you ideas for what you'd like. Some are local and some aren't.

Cool atmosphere and great selection of craft beers. A few simple food options as well. Bartender was super attentive even though he was busy and alone.
This is NYC's premier Craft Beer Bar. The staff are super helpful about what type of beer you should drink. This is an ultra Chill environment with great conversation to be had. A must stop!

Service was 6 star - felt very taken care of. prices are a little high at $10 for beers and $12 for a bratwurst, but all were delicious. Beware - the mustard with pretzels and brats is horseradish!

If you like craft beer like I do, you'll be very happy here. If you like to have a shot with your beer like I do, you'll be disappointed as I'm not sure they even have liquor there. It's a good spot if, like we were on that fateful evening, on a mini pub crawl throughout soho and west village.
Reliable local staple that's great for food if you come at a time when it's not too crowded. There are often individuals taking up entire tables working on laptops (during the day), so I recommend arriving between 5 and 7 - after they leave, but before the drinkers arrive. It's a nice spot and the bartenders are all very nice.
One of the best craft beer bars in town. They always have an impossibly exhaustive list of beers and it keeps changing! Beers are wonderful and fairly priced. Cask specials are unique and hard to find elsewhere. I've had the food on several occasions and highly recommend it- although not as highly as the beer. Yum, beer.
A group of us stopped in for a beer after dinner. What a great pub. It's not very big, but had a lot of character. Almost reminded me of some of the pubs in Dublin. The beer selection was pretty amazing with lots of unique brews on tap. I could spend several nights here enjoying the ambiance from the fireplace and not run out of beers to try. For my first visit to NY, it was nice to find this treasure of a neighborhood pub.
I went here late night after working a long day in Manhattan. I am not from the area and was looking for somewhere in NYC to hit my craft beer fix. This place was recommended by many. When i first arrived i was surprised to see that it was not that busy and extremely low key. We arrived roughly around 10 PM. The first thing we did was sit at the bar and have some beers. They don't have a super extensive list of craft beers but the ones they do have are quite amazing. After talking to the bartender, who was nice, we decided to get some of their chicken wings. AMAZING. Maybe just the beer talking here, but they definitely seemed to hit the spot. The service was great throughout the night, and the food, although bar food, was great too. I would highly recommend this place and would go back again.
One of my hipster friends wouldn't stop talking about this place. I swore he was going to start microbrewing in his closet after making the Blind Tiger his new favorite hang out. The atmosphere is super chill and it's a nice place to talk. If you run out of things to say, you can always comment on the beer selection. The bartenders are well versed in the selection and can steer you toward a drink to suit your tastes. Overall a very cool place to try something new.
A great place. A selection of wonderful beers to rival any other place that specializes in a variety of good beers. The space is also very comfortable and cool. The only downside is the crowd that can develop. Unless you go at an off time, expect a horrid crowd, multiple bodies deep at the bar when you try to order, and no seating. I also must mention that their bar snacks are of very high quality. The wings are amazing, some of my favorite in NY, and the pickles are a good snack also. I haven't tried any of the main dishes. Due to its popularity, do not expect overly warm service, and expect a bouncer that may seem uncharacteristic of a place like this.
A Village staple for good beer and tasty food. The beer taps offer a wide variety of mostly NY and nearby regional brews. Worth a visit if you love a great beer
Their beer selection is world class and their food is good too. Everytime I visit I have to stop here. Never disappoints. They have cask beer and bottle specials. The atmosphere and decor is perfect. Dark place. Exposed brick, wooden beams, big fireplace. A great place to escape the hustle of the big apple.
Very quick and friendly service even though it was busy. Worth the stop in for a drink or two for sure.
This place is a historical gem! I have been going here for over 20 years and every time I go in, no matter what the crowd is or who the new bartenders are, I feel like I never left! The crowd is pretty young, but as a mid-40s, I don't feel out of place. The bartenders are knowledgable and always helpful in making decisions. Why they didn't get 5-stars: This is actually a 4.5-star place and only gets dinged 1/2 star is that is can be hard to get a table or a spot to be. It's a very small venue, so be prepared to stand around a bit. That's it, great beers, good vibes, still a great spot!!!
3.6/5. This place is decent and sometimes has a top notch beer or two on draft. Becomes a 'bro bar' after 10pm and gets packed.
I stopped by the Blind Tiger on a Thursday earlier in December and had a great time. I only had drinks, so I can’t comment on the food, but the bar itself was buzzing. It was absolutely packed and standing room only, and the bar was easily two to three people deep. Despite that, the bartenders were on point and had me a beer in under five minutes, which honestly exceeded my expectations. The hardest part was choosing what to drink because their beer list is massive. I started with a Tilted Barn Kölsch and followed it up with a Captain Lawrence Liquid Gold. I originally planned on just one beer, but there is a two beer minimum when using a credit card, and I had no complaints. I enjoyed some good music and caught the Knicks game on TV while enjoying the music. Next time I am in this part of NYC, I will definitely be back to explore more of their impressive beer menu, hopefully with a little more elbow room!

The place has a rather old 70s vibe and there were moderately tasty apparatuses where I would chat comfortably with my friends and have a drink, but it had an atmosphere reminiscent of old pubs in …
This is a perfectly serviceable bar to pop into for a couple beers. Their tap selection is vast. Surroundings are fairly basic. The crowd tends to veer towards the younger side. Service from the bar was quick. Lots of space for either sitting or standing. Basically nothing wrong, just a fairly typical pub.
If you are an early twenties kid and want to party with loud music and eat some really mediocre food this is the place for you. The music is extra loud for a place serving food and drinks. Many young kids running into eachother seemingly sloppy drunk. The food looked either microwaved or burnt. I think this place could be really cool if they toned the music down a little bit and improved their kitchen quality and menu options. The bartenders and servers were very nice and they are the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars.
Third review and each time such a different experience. Quiet and Monday so we had a nice window table. As usual really nice beer selections. They offer soda in cans and they have wine however no cocktails. Still a neighborhood staple and always good items on tap. No tables were outside though weather was awesome maybe since it was a Monday? Here now and what an obnoxious door person and the waitress Cassie I think. I had purchased a Mexican Coke and I get it I should have waited to drink it so the door man asked me to put it away and I did. Then my husband went in a got me a Diet Coke. She explained no outside food or drink. No issue makes sense. Then as I was switching seats with my husband after just buying the coke he came back and asked if we were leaving since someone needed a table?! Huh I just purchased a drink and husband has a beer? I waited for 20 minutes for my table and he didn’t try to help me?! I don’t care if it is busy not my issue. Was not usual friendly here and today before at Patrick’s day it was not! Took the fun out of coming to blind tiger for me for sure. Not sure why such a bad disposition and as soon as they asked me to put my coke away I complied so not sure why still an attitude! Just left the blind tiger where we have been coming for years and I didn’t realize I didn’t review. They have a huge selection of beers from all the country and they have a kitchen which makes wonderful grilled cheese and Mac n cheese. Lots of high gravity and high alcohol and great selections you don’t see everywhere else in the city. Always busy just two small bathrooms in the back corner. Now they have outside seating in the street and in outside structure. Here is todays board

The female bartender was unbelievably rude. After trying to order with her and being met with hostility, we immediately left
As a working physician who enjoys a beer, I use to enjoy this place because of its selection and hours. I walked in there after a late night shift and the bartender was wasted. She looked me in the eye and told me she couldn’t serve me as I had been kicked out of the bar before, which is a blatant lie. She just must think all people of color look alike. Regardless, there is no reasoning with drunks so I left. Never getting my business again. Also way better beer bars in nyc.
Don’t come here, bartenders are excessively rude. They treat you as if they were doing you a favor for pouring a beer.
Very aggressive bartender. We stayed for 4 beers, paid after each drink. We joined a PUBLIC open jam on Spotify and then after 3 hours the bartender exploded and was so aggressive and rude against us. Bar owner, the bartender was very a cap and an old t-shirt(2008). We tried to explain to him we was sorry and still he continued to harass us and had zero understanding that we did not do anything to offend him or be impolite, however he called us many bad and impolite things and then we left. I hope you will talk to him and explain him we are paying his salary and please be polite to customers - and then just be polite and ask if we cannot join the jam on Spotify….
You must put a sign somewhere to let customers know it's a two drink minimum on cards. One bartender was enforcing this while the other wasn't. Confusing
