Opinions de Chun Yang Tea New York
Bubble tea was very good, I had a lychee oolong which hit the spot in the hot weather. The inside is nice and looks very clean. My wife had a mango coconut which was also very good.
Really delicious and a lot of different varieties! A must go to place!!!! Walked across manhattan for this!
The staff is super nice and quick with orders. I tried passion fruit green tea here and it is my favorite, super delicious. The only place I always stop by when I am around the area.
We decided to stop for a little pick me up. The boba was absolutely delicious. They had loads of flavors, and some really unique flavors too. They also had some juice type beverages as well, if you’re not wanting boba or a milk drink. Staff is nice. Be aware they do not have seating indoors, they had one simple table outside which we were lucky enough to snag to people watch for a few quick minutes while we enjoyed our evening. We would be back again if in the area!
Stopped by here on a long walk south and was pleasantly surprised to find this boba gem in Tribeca of all places. Why do rich people get all the nice places? The Kumquat Green Tea with boba was well-steeped and pleasantly bright, with perfectlt cooked, perfectly kiu kiu boba. The Honey Oolong with aiyu jelly had a pleasant touch of sweetness and plenty of flavorful gelatin to keep any mouth happy.
Had a random craving at 10:30am and passed by so wanted to check it out. Was afraid that it would be overly sweet and I would feel super guilty for getting this instead of a proper breakfast, especially after the lady told me that i could not adjust the sugar level - which now i think about it... typically means they don't add extra sugar 😀 The Mango Coconut Sago blew me away. It was so gentle on my palate, yet you can taste the beautiful combination of coconut and actual mango chunks. The sago was not mushy at all, which created that nice little surprises in every sip. I would give more stars if I can. This drink made me feel great and light afterwards, while satisfying my early morning sweet-tooth. Marking and saving here!!!!!!
Solid boba tea spot. Was super tired from walking all day. I saw staton island and the tallest building in nyc. Really amazing stuff. The boba was good. I was a little rushed to order because I entered, no one, and then I was browsing the menu and all of a sudden a million people were behind me. So I felt rushed and just ordered the most popular drink. It was solid. Maybe not the best boba tea I have had but overall good and flavorful. The boba balls were good. Chewy and not sticky which I like. The yea itself was good and overall. Thought it was great.
Read the reviews to this place so headed over. Got the traditional black milk tea with boba at 50% sweet. It was delicious and the boba was the perfect consistency and sweetness. Just like the other reviews said, the tea had great flavor and the drink was not too heavy and sweet. I didn’t realize how small the place is - it’s basically a stall with a counter that you order at and there’s barely any standing room to wait for your drink. Highly recommend!
I FALL IN love with Chun Yang Tea the very first time I tried their drink. Thanks to Cathy at the counter for recommending us drinks! I tried Match Latte and it amazed me. The flavour of matcha was so Japanese so authentic that it reminded me of my time in Japan where I used to drink matcha all the time. Then the second time I tried their Black Tea Latte with boba and grass jelly. It was totally made in Taiwanese style. The texture was so smooth and silky, rich in roasty Oolong tea aroma with a tint of creamy sweetness. I personally love grass jelly and I tasted that it was hand-made. But it was not sugary but preserved the original taste of Asian tea latte. I came far away from the UK to visit my friend in NYC and I feel so lucky I discovered this treasure tea shop. I would like to try more flavours before I go back home! I appreciate Cathy for her nice and patient attitude. She worked very hard to try explaining to me the difference between drinks. Do not miss Chun Yang Tea Tribeca if you passed by!
Authentic and quality Taiwanese tea shop. Personally this place is my favorite so far in the city. The tea here isn't bitter from being overly brewed like many other chains. The staff are always patient with checking the ingredients as my husband cannot have refined sugar. The passion fruit (with pure passion fruit pulp!) green tea can be made with no sugar added at all which is wonderful. The taro drinks are nice too with actual chunks of taro and not overly sweetened.
Walking into the store, I felt immediately welcomed by the cozy decor. When I asked the staff for a drink recommendation, they patiently took the time to understand my preferences. In the end, they suggested the Cranberry Oolong Tea, and it turned out to be a perfect match for my taste. It was incredibly refreshing and thirst-quenching, just ideal for a hot summer day. The staff also clearly explained the recommended sweetness level for the drink. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
I absolutely love this place and then I walked in. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and very knowledgeable, and each Tea that they produce. I was so surprised as to how many options they have in the store. I ordered the raspberry tea with Boba. Thank you for your help and the experience that I deserved . I am absolutely grateful and I will be coming back a lot often
Chun Yang tea has been my favorite tea spot so far. It's part of my daily routine before I go home. Their recommended settings of sugar and ice are balanced to perfection. I usually request my tea without tapicoa pearls or jelly, but their tea flavors are delicious. Also, the staff is very friendly and supportive. They provide customers with a promoitional loytaly card and stamp it everytime you make a purchase. After 9 purchases, they provide the customer with a free medium drink which is great! There are a lot of flavors of tea to choose from but my favorites are: Iced tea: Grapefruit Green tea Raspberry Oolong Tea Hot Tea: Brown Sugar Ginger Tea I highly recommend this establishment and I give it 5 stars! You will love it!
Such a great variety of drinks to choose from! I went for their grand opening, and the staff was very welcoming and helpful with giving recommendations from their menu. I chose the honey osmanthus oolong tea and the classic black tea latte with pearl. You can't go with the classic black tea latte with pearl, but the honey osmanthus oolong tea was incredibly yummy! The subtle hint of floral notes with the honey flavor was really pleasant without being overly sweet. Highly recommend checking out this place!!!
Taiwanese tea shop - they have a lot of regular and fruit teas. I tried the mango mountain tea - a good tea and light, mango was cut up chunks in the drink so somewhat less easy to clear with the straw. Two seats and one small counter space. No bathroom for customers, so order/pickup and go for most.
Highly disappointed in my first experience here. The strawberry matcha latte is hard to drink as it’s 95% chunky strawberry puree, completely unblended and you can barely taste the matcha. Tried to switch it out for a regular matcha latte as I just paid and took two sips and the two girls in the counter couldn’t provide any assistance or basic level of customer service. Please do better in terms of customer service
