Food is absolutely amazing. The fish is extremely high quality and tasty. I could not recommend this place more; definitely a great Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is the weak link in the restaurant since everything else is so great. There are some cheaper options with specials, such as a lunch meal, but also more expensive options you can order. It does get quite busy so get there easy!

It let me speechless!!! Such a nice and unexpected experience. My friend and I were looking for something fresh and light, I would say that Takahachi succeed expectations. Their food is something that you got to try, the chef makes sure to keep you guessing what's coming next, like Chilean sea bass gyōza? Come on guys. Dani, my server gave me the best experience I could ever asked for, gave me good suggestions having in mind my dietary restrictions. I hope to come back to enjoy your service again. Thank you for having us.

Walking by this restaurant I noticed they offered a lunch special so I had to give it a try. So glad I did! The lunch special is a remarkable deal. The salad and miso soup was the perfect starter. Followed with tempura tofu in a fish sauce. Finally the don chicken katsu and egg over rice made me truly understand what it's like having a traditional Japanese meal. With that said, I didn't even get to try their sushi or other fish entrees. I have to come back for dinner.

I was lucky to get a reservation for a party of 5 at prime time. One of my friend was here before so she suggested to have a dinner at this place. I let her pick the menu and she ordered so many delicious stuff so we were super stuffed. We had Tsunami salad and Nori Green salad. I really Nori green salad because the yuzu dressing was very taste. Fried dumplings were also good. We had lot of sushi and sashimi and at the end we had a perfect combination of ice cream, Green tea, Black sesame and Yuzu. Service is very friendly and wonderful. We enjoy so much with the meal and meeting with friends.

Went out for sushi on a whim and it was an amazing experience. Ocean’s 13 was delicious with perfect blend of fish, rice, and toppings. A bit pricy but worth a try. Karage chicken was juicy, the breading was flavorful, and perfect amount of tangy to serve as an appetizer. Spicy tuna roll was great as well but now let’s talk about the star of the show- Seared Salmon. I have been to quite a few sushi places in the city and not many have seared salmon, actually this was the first one i found in a year. So, seared salmon lovers, this place is you sanctuary. I am definitely going back for some seared salmon. I don’t remember the price, didn’t even check because they were that good! If you end up going, ping me with the price 😂

Solid place for quick and tasty happened dishes in an unpretentious environment. Nothing super allocated or rare in the sushi world, but just good quality. For the price, can’t beat it in the area

Great neighborhood japanese joint. The fish is definitely quality, and the staff is very nice. We got: miso soup (red & white), agedashi, spicy karage, and sushi sashimi platter for 2. Everything was delicious, red miso soup was better than the white, agedashi was A+, and the platter was also great too. The spicy karage was a bit burnt, and slightly underwhelming.

Generally good experience, everything fresh, a solid 4 for this casual place with its plastic-coated veneered tables. The Soba salad was a little heavy on the sesame dressing, somewhat overwhelming. The chirashi bowl was very good.

i really loved how authentic the food was, but prob wouldnt visit again cuz cant put up with the server (a mid age woman) she had a huge attitude, never checked in on our table, would never give food recs and always looked impatient, and missed our orders unapologetically

Went with my girlfriend and was excited since I used to go to takhachi all the time. Service and atmosphere was great, however, when I got the sushi deluxe the eel nigiri piece had a very rubbery texture and was very cold. I immediately knew something was off with the piece. Some of the other pieces seemed to be a little off but the eel stood out. The past two days I have had mild food poisoning. Disappointed in the quality since the sushi deluxe should usually be the chef’s curated dish. Update on 9/4: turns out after 6 days of food poisoning I have a parasite from my meal here. Baffled that the quality of fish is so low.
