It is one of the only places in the city that opens 24 zh hours. I love that convenience. I usually get chicken for the main course , Arroz con Pollo is delicious as well as the pollo a la plancha if you like the spicy kale. Service is always great, but this time, staff went the extra mile. Thank you very much Sandro for the great experience, as well as Pedro for your great work being our waiter.
I mean . I really had to take a photo after we starting eating because this place is so good. My bf and I work in the industry and decided to come here after we clocked out. Such great service and truly one of the best chicken and waffles ever. They have a homemade honey mustard and hot honey that is to die for. Totally worth it.
Rating: 9.5/10 Date Last Visited: 1/25/2026 We ordered the Lomo Saltado ($30), Shrimp and Grits ($28), Mofongo Con Constilla ($30), Churrasco ($29), Steak Frites ($32), Ceviche ($17), and Dulce De Leche Pancakes ($17). Almost every dish was amazing, but the lomo saltado is the star of the show. The combination of the beef short rib, onions, tomato, and fries along with the sauces is perfect. The beef is extremely tender and the dish is super flavorful. It’s worth going to Coppelia just to eat the lomo. For brunch, the shrimp and grits is really solid too, but a bit pricey for just four shrimps. The pancake was amazing too. For the dinner entrees, the churrasco and steak frites are also really good. Coppelia does a good job on all their dishes and I’m a huge pan. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place.
We love Coppelia. We discovered.it during.the pandemic when most places started shutting down very early. They didn't. Ever since it's been my go to. The food is some of the best you will find ANYWHERE. I took a friend who is a super foodie and a year later she was still talking about how good it was! It gets loud but the vibe is always fun, warm and welcoming.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE, i am absolutely coming back here again. we ordered the shrimp and grits, oxtail empanada, mofongo w the beef, and the dulce de leche milkshake. the shrimp and grits was out of this world, so creamy and delicious, the grits reminded me a little of mashed potatoes. the oxtail empanada was much smaller than i thought, but really nice flavors and the crispy plantain on the bottom was to die for. the beef in the mofongo was so so tender and delightful, it basically melted in my mouth, I would highly recommend. the mofongo also was so flavorful and had a nice kick to it! the milkshake was nice, not my favorite idk what i was expecting but it was lovely and sweet. they also only have fufu and oxtail during dinnertime so keep that in mind, i definitely got to come back to try that next time!! also the service was outstanding, very kind and welcoming staff. when i went in for a table, they originally only had seating at the bar and a table would be a 15 min wait so we just decided to sit at the bar, but later the kind gentleman notified us that a table had just opened up and they helped us get acquainted. it got a bit loud at some point but thats to be expected in such an amazing restaurant where people come to enjoy some good food. overall an outstanding experience and i am so excited to come again soon <3
This took me back to early New York. It’s set is the beautiful Cuban diner, with a classic diner touch and a Cuban flare. The food was perfection. I had the Salmon with purple mashed potatoes. My date had the Lomo Saltado. I had a wonderful Dulce De Leche milkshake and my date had the Sangria. I also had an oxtail empanada that was made like I landed in Cuba. The atmosphere alone would make you stay, but the food will make you linger. The Mojito is one of the best that I’ve had in the city. My new favorite spot.
Had such a delicious meal. We got Rabo encendido (oxtail & fufu) & mofongo con costilla (mashed plantain w short rib). It was my first time having mofongo and I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s potato-e and a little sweet from the plantain. It’s not like mashed potatoes mashed, it’s got Structure. The short rib it came with was so tender fall right off the bone. My favorite was the oxtail. The fufu was actually sweet and pretty soft more like mashed potatoes. The oxtail was tender and soaked up all the delicious sauce. Came out to around $40pp for one entree each. Overall 8.5/10
I recently visited the restaurant, and the experience was lovely overall. My meal consisted of the pollo a la plancha, and I have to say it was perfectly cooked. The flavors were so well balanced, and the chicken was incredibly tender and juicy. The service was also great, and I will definitely be back soon to try other dishes.
Was recommended by the Hotel Staff at Park Terrace. Glad I got right in a cab and headed over. Truly an incredible time, the food was great, the drinks were strong.. can't really ask for much more! I believe my waiter was Mateo, great guy man. He went above and beyond with his hospitality and made sure my first time there was a great experience. Will head back every single time I spend a night in the city! Highly recommend.
🌙✨ Late-night cravings? SOLVED. Coppelia, located at 207 W 14th St in NYC, is a 24-HOUR CUBAN DINER that absolutely slaps. No other way to describe it — this place is a certified banger. 🔥🇨🇺 Started off with their Oxtail Empanada and let me tell you… WOW. The sweet plantain dough? Magic. Braised oxtail melting inside, topped with crema, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and a little salsa verde action? Just chef’s kiss. 💥💚 Then came the Lomo Saltado — unbelievably tender, salty, slightly sweet, and available 24/7 (yes, seriously). Perfectly cooked beef meets lightly caramelized crunchy French fries, bone-dry rice, and that savory, stewed tomato sauce that hits every comfort button. 🥩🍅🍟 Coppelia is a Cuban diner with a big, beautiful bar and vibes for days. Whether it’s 2PM or 2AM, this spot should be in everyone’s NYC food rotation. 🚨 Go. There. Now. 🚨 #CoppeliaNYC #CubanFood #LomoSaltado #EmpanadaGoals #LateNightEats #NYCFoodie #24HourSpot
This restaurant is an absolute banger, no other way to describe it. Open 24 hours, standard prices with out of this world lomo saltado. Had the calamari (very solid) and the oxtail (sauce was delicious), this restaurant should be in everyone’s rotation. Cuban diner vibes with a large bar. Go there!
The flavors were impressive. The MAC & CHICHARRON was a real standout. It looked like a calorie bomb but tasted just as amazing. The little pieces of meat inside were tasty. They were a bit salty but paired really well with the macaroni. The pork skin added a satisfying crunch. The CAMARONES CIENFUEGOS was another highlight. The quinoa had a firmer texture than regular white rice, but it matched the seasoning of the dish really well. The portion balance between the dish and the quinoa was just right, making sure every bite was flavorful. The CHURRASCO was solid as well. The beef was a little dry, but the seasoning helped make up for it. As for the Mexican soda, it tasted pretty similar to regular soda. I ordered it just out of curiosity. If you are not particularly interested in trying something different, regular soda will do just fine. The restaurant had a lively, energetic vibe that made the experience even better. I would definitely come back.
Great Cuban sandwich. Owner and staff are always super nice and can make any sandwich you want exactly the way you want it. Love it!

Had a gift certificate so decided to try brunch here. Sat at the bar easily on a Sunday morning around 10am, no wait. Food is fine - could be hotter. Had to flag waiter down a few times for more coffee and check. Definitely some character customers in here since they are open 24 hours (people ending their night here - still drunk). Not blown away, don’t think I’ll come back.
The seafood arepa and oxtail empanadas were absolutely delicious! I'd love to come back and try some of the other arepa flavors. The plantains were cooked perfectly.
I had a phenomenal overall experience at Coppelia. The atmosphere, food, and overall energy of the space were truly exceptional. It’s a beautiful setting with a lively yet intimate vibe that makes it a great place to spend time in the city. The food was outstanding — everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The ambiance and design of the space also make it feel elevated and welcoming. However, one aspect of the service did detract from the experience. We were there for an important business dinner, and unfortunately the busser interrupted our table multiple times and rushed the clearing of plates while we were still in conversation. The interruptions broke the flow of discussion and created a slightly uncomfortable dynamic for our guests. In a setting where people are meeting for business or meaningful conversations, allowing the table space to finish discussions before clearing can make a big difference. That said, the restaurant itself is fantastic, and the food and ambiance were truly memorable. With a bit more awareness around timing and guest comfort during service, it would easily be a five-star experience.
I had a lovely experience at Coppelia during my recent visit! Food: The menu offers a fantastic variety, and I was particularly impressed with the brunch options. The flavors were vibrant, and the portions were generous. However, a couple of dishes could use a bit more seasoning. Service: The service was friendly and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we had everything we needed, which enhanced the dining experience. Atmosphere: The ambiance is vibrant and lively, with a unique decor that really sets the tone. It’s a fun place to enjoy a meal, whether you’re there for brunch or a late-night bite. Overall, Coppelia is a great spot to indulge in delicious food. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!
I came here for brunch because it was highly recommended. Service is good and the drinks were phenomenal. It's first come first served and even though my large party was late they were able to see us all together by the grace of gods. The food itself was just okay. The steak from the steak and eggs was basic. The chicken was really tasty from the chicken and waffles. The other dishes lacked some flavor which was a bit disappointing although they were good. I may return but mainly to try other dishes as this place was rated pretty highly by others.
Such a great place the vibes are fantastic. This place is a great diner with so many options. Would highly recommend the oxtail empanada. The chicken and waffles was super interesting (the chicken is marinated in tea) but by the end was a bit too sweet (though the waffle was perfect). Same with the Cubano it was good but missing a bit of pickle forwardness. Would definitely go back to try more things because everything looked good and interesting.

Authentic Spanish food, service is always very good. Has a bar/restaurant feel, with music & intimate lighting, order a mojito & enjoy some tasty food

On November 15 at approximately 8am I visited Coppelia for the first time after working an overnight shift. I ordered the steak and eggs with moro and avocado. I've heard of this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it because all I've heard were great things however this was not my experience. I tried to be understanding because of the time I went. It was early but their service was lackluster and the food was underwhelming.I ate it despite the distaste because I am not fond of wasting food unnecessarily. The steak was dry and the moro was as well. The food in its totality felt like it was reheated food from days before witht he exception of the over medium eggs. I was greatly disappointed with their food and service. Never going back.
The only highlight was the oxtail empanadas—they were genuinely delicious and packed with flavor even though one of the orders was missing the green sauce. Everything else was a disappointment. The skirt steak was overly fatty and unpleasant to eat, and the rice and beans that accompanied it were bland. The lomo saltado, which I was really looking forward to, lacked seasoning, it just didn’t deliver. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Still, great service can only do so much when the food doesn’t measure up. I wouldn’t come back—even if Rihanna recommended it.

Where do I begin? They did not give us small plates to share our appetizer, not that it was worth eating, and were stingy with request for more napkins. The tables are literally shoulder to shoulder with other customers, making it very uncomfortable. One server takes the order yet another one’s name is on the bill so we did not know who was requesting tip. Now onto the food, the chips and guac were absolutely disgusting, oily, and the guac was runny and brown as if it was left out of the fridge. The entrees left much to be desired. We got the pan seared salmon with purple mash potatoes which literally tastes like regular mash potatoes with purple dye. The second entree, the pork mofongo with beef short rib was lackluster. One could tell the quality of the food has gone downhill. Will not be returning.
